My Salvation

AUTHORS NOTE: Okay, I'm impressed! ^-^ A lot of you guys managed to guess my 'mysterious five'. I was honestly expecting someone to say another of Harry's ancestors or even Cedric! Oh well... So what did you guys think of Meskhenet? No one told me unfortunately... Oh well! Enjoy this chapter! :) *!~

Disclaimer: I do not own this! I don't even own the computer I'm working off of though I have temporarily traded it for my Nook. I DO own these M&M's I'm eating though! ^-^

Taking a deep breathe Harry turned around to face the five cloaked figures. He was ready... It was time that he faced his destiny, once and for all...

CHAPTER 10: The Founders History

There before him stood five of he most well known witches and wizards in the world. With only a glance he knew immediately who they were.

There before him stood the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin and Merlin himself! Harry felt as though he were going to collapse from shock.

He stood there, his eyes the size of saucers and mouth agape, trying to figure out just what these five incredible people were here for.

Rowena Ravenclaw, whom he'd only seen a statue and the rare painting of was even more incredible in person. She was beautiful with her long dark hair falling in waves down her back and her dark blue eyes, but she was also slightly intimidating. She was tall standing at about five foot nine, her back straight and posture perfect. In fact Harry could imagine that she and McGonagall would get along very well...

Helga Hufflepuff was a shorter woman, slightly plum but with a kind face much like those of Molly Weasley and Poppy Pomfrey. Her red hair was pulled back into a loose bun and her blue eyes shone with love and adoration as they gazed at him...

Godric Gryffindor was a large, muscular man with long wavy red hair that fell just past his shoulders and green eyes which were remarkably similar to his own. He stood straight and tall, as though he himself were the lion that represented his house, ready to pounce at a moments notice. Harry was slightly reminded of a younger Dumbledore though he couldn't be sure. If nothing else then he gave off the same aura as Bill Weasley...

Salazar Slytherin however was a lean, tall, man who stood about half a head larger than Gryffindor but was also slightly gangly if compared to the broad muscles of the man beside him. He actually closely resembled Severus Snape what with his height, long black hair, and his dark eyes. The only truly noticeable differences between the two however were the fact that Slytherin's eyes were a dark grey and Slytherin also had a short black goatee... Hmm, maybe Harry should recommend that Severus grow a goatee as well, it looked nice...

And last but not least...

Oh Merlin! It was Merlin! Looking at him it was no wonder who Albus took after in the fashion department...

Merlin had a long white beard much like Dumbledore's and his eyes were an almost replica of the headmasters... Or would that be the other way around? Oh this was all so confusing! But the thing that stood out the most about him would have to be the bright canary yellow robes with brown and purple swirls... Maybe it was just a powerful wizard thing to be eccentric?

Oh Merlin he was just standing there staring like a bloody idiot! Come on Harry move! That's it! One foot in front of the other. Now open your mouth and introduce yourself! Be polite! Come on you can do it! Use those skills aunt Petunia taught you!

"I'm Harry Potter. I take it that you are the ones who Meskhent has told me about? It's an honor to meet you all," Harry somehow managed to get out before giving a small bow.

"Such a charming young man! But then again we knew that you would be!" Helga Hufflepuff said as she beamed at him. "You see Harry, we have been watching you for quite some time now!"

Harry could feel his eyes widen as his mind went blank at that statement.

"I'm sorry, but why would you be watching me?" He found himself asking before he could stop himself.

His question was quickly met with small amused laughter, not such as would make make him feel badly but instead this laughter seemed to put him at ease which was... Oddly disconcerting ironically enough.

Merlin and the four founders sat down on chairs which faced towards one lone spot which was obviously reserved for him. Ravenclaw took a straight backed chair made of wood much like the ones that professor McGonagall typically conjured. Hufflepuff took one which was rather squashy and perfect for curling up in much like the one which had been set aside for himself. Gryffindor took one which looked much like a throne; tall, stately and slightly imposing. Slytherin one which was a decent mixture of Hufflepuffs squashy armchair and Gryffindors throne and finally Merlins chair which was a mixture of Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws.

Harry hesitated for a moment before steeling his nerves and walking forward to perch on the edge of his chair.

A silence seemed to draw out between them all for a moment as they waited for Harry to ask the question yet again... It was essential that Harry lead the beginning of this conversation, they did not want to make this any harder than it had to be. What with what they would already have to reveal to the poor child. Let alone what he would be forced to do in the near future...

"So..." Harry began as he rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed. "Why exactly have you been watching me? Do you watch everyone? Or did I do something wrong? Why are we here anyways? What does this have to do with my destiny?" Harry knew that he was rambling but he couldn't help himself. His thoughts were circling around in his head at an alarming speed and no matter what he did he couldn't stop them.

"Harry, we have been watching you for a long time. Not because you have done anything wrong, though we do have some things to speak about regarding your past, but simply because you are an amazing young man and we have a...Proposition for you," Ravenclaw said, her voice both serene and serious at the same time as she met his gaze.

"We are here for the exact same reasons that Meskhenet has told you about Harry," Hufflepuff chimed leaning forward in her chair, an excited gleam in her eye. "There are things about you that have been taken away. And there are also things that we wish for you to gain." She was exceedingly bright and cheerful. Harry knew then and there as he gazed into her gentle eyes that he would have to seriously rethink all of the preconceived notions he had gained upon entering the wizard world.

After all: hadn't Severus already proven him wrong?

His friendship with Severus had been rather tumultuous at the beginning but somehow they had made it work. After Harry had first viewed Severus' memories in fifth year and had been promptly thrown out Harry could feel shame eating away inside of him. His view of his father, of all the maurauders had been promptly thrown upside down. He had thought they were nothing but bullys, found out that his mother had been friends with Severus Snape before he had called her a mudblood after being completely humiliated and he didn't think he could look his only two remaining father figures in the eye with the new knowledge he had gained on them.

He had floo called with the hopes that he had been wrong about all of this, had merely misinterpreted it, but it wasn't.

Harry had been plagued by the information for days, too angry at Sirius and Remus to contact them, too ashamed to even think about telling Ron and Hermione even if he wouldn't, and far too ashamed and guilty to apologize to Snape!

About a week after that fateful occlumency lesson however he had managed to summon his Gryffindor courage and forced himself to apologize.

Severus had needless to say been shocked and from there their friendship had taken off spectacularly. Of coarse they still had to keep up pretenses in public but when it was just them or even just Sev, Ron, Hermione (he wasn't even sure how he had gotten them talking) and him Severus seemed to be a different man.

Harry had learned more about his mother than ever before and even some about his father like for instance the fact that they only tormented Sev so much was because James was jealous that Lily spent so much time with him.

When Harry had learned that he was ready to apologize to Sirius and Remus before the whole fiasco with the ministry had happened.

At the end of the school year before he had gotten shipped off to the Dursleys both Severus and Remus had stayed with him in the hospital wing for that last week and during that time Harry had even managed to bridge the gap between Sev and Remus. They were relatively decent friends now, both having given each other the benefit of the doubt for Harry's sake...

"Harry, perhaps this would be easier for you if we were on more level footing. We after all already know of your life. If you wish we would more than willingly share with you our stories," Ravenclaw said as she looked at him with a calculating yet gentle gleam in her eyes and a gentle smile.

Harry found himself nodding in agreement before he settled back into his chair so that he was more comfortable. After all there were five life stories that he would have to hear and he had been doing a fair amount of sitting already today.

"Alright," He said again as everyone turned their focus towards Ravenclaw who cleared her throat before beginning.

...

"I was born Rowena Elanore Roanswood. I was the only remaining heir of a very noble and as such I was expected to marry the man of my parents choosing. At sixteen I was forced to marry Lord Byron Bartimus Ravenclaw, a man whom I had never met and never did meet until the time which I was forced down the isle.

"I was lucky however. Byron was exceedingly kind and a soul bond had manifested. Soul bonds will only manifest in individuals who are meant for each other, the bond will be there from the very moment that they set eyes on each other but many do not physically manifest. In fact the bond will not manifest unless the two involved have complete faith and love in each other. At the beginning of our marriage I had mistrusted Byron completely. I had expected him to be like my father but when he had seen my love for knowledge he had done the opposite as my father would, he encouraged me instead of discouraged me, and so he had gained my trust.

"My parents had always forbidden the pursuit of knowledge and magic outside of household charms for cleaning and cooking. Their oppression of knowledge from me had done nothing but spur me on to learn as much as I could. I had been forced to resort to stealing books from my fathers library and even disguising myself to purchase books from the shop in our village that I began to grow distasteful towards those who had a ready supply of knowledge at their beck and call and yet refused to acknowledge it.

"After Byron had learned of my passion for knowledge be made it a habit to bring me home at least one new book every week if not more. I had been granted unlimited access to the Ravenclaw libraries and he had even begun to teach me more complex spells. As you can probably tell Byron enjoyed spoiling me and so it was that one night I had come down to dinner to find three extra men sitting at our table. Byron had invited Merlin and his two apprentices, Godric and Salazar, to join us for a fortnight so that I could learn from a 'true master' and so that they could take a break from their travels.

"As Merlin, Godric and Salazar taught me I continued to grow. It would seem as though I had deeply impressed them and so by the time that fortnight had finished Merlin requested that I be his apprentice.

"By the time a month of apprenticeship was over I had managed to catch up with the over two and within a month Helga had joined us. By the time that I was twenty four years old Helga and my seven years of apprenticeship had ended, though Salazar and Godric had remained with us all of those years. I had decided that it would be a vast improvement if we were to found a school in which magical children could come to learn the general knowledge that they would need before apprenticeship could occur.

"After the idea was completely formulated I had begun the plans for the buildings structure. It took until I was thirty one for us to open the school. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, named after ironically enough Merlins familiar a boar he had named wart upon receiving him at the age of seven. We began by educating a group of children at the age of eleven when the parents are usually supposed to begin their education. We had based our timing so that by the age of seventeen, when young adults usually began their apprenticeship in their desired field, our students would be well equipped for whatever field they wished to enter.

"At the age of thirty seven I became pregnant with my first and only child, it is sad to say that I am the only one who had a child that lived to adulthood. Byron and I had been exstatic with the news as were the others. Helena had been exceedingly bright much like Byron and I and I was of coarse desperate not to force the same lack of knowledge onto Helena as my parents had with me so I taught her of whatever she took interest in.

"By the time that Helena had begun her schooling she took no serious interest in learning, a fact which annoyed me to no end.

"After Salazar and Helga passed on I became exceedingly depressed. I emmersed myself into studying whenever possible and when Byron passed when I was fifty six and Helena was nineteen her rebellion grew tenfold...

"On the exact day of Byrons funeral when the congregation had left I went looking for Helena. I was however unable to find her. In fact all that I could was an empty case. The case should have held my diadem which Byron had given me at the very opening of the school. I had always claimed that it had made me feel more intelligent and made my spellcasting stronger for the simple fact that when I wore it I could feel Byrons love surrounding me. I believe however that Helena thought their were actual properties within the diadem that increased intelligence and power...

"I cared not however for the diadem however. In one fell swoop I had lost two of my close friends, my husband, and my daughter. I soon fell ill and in a bid of desperation to see my beloved daughter one last time I sent a sir Killian Jones, or as you would know him the 'Bloody Baron'. However he did not reach her in time... By the time they arrived I had already passed on. Helena killed herself without thought and after he found her the 'Bloody Baron' killed himself..." Rowena trailed off then her eyes distant as she was still lost in her memories as she absently motioned for Helga to tell her story.

Harry was shocked. So the Grey Lady was actually Helena Ravenclaw? And the Bloody Baron didn't kill anyone except for himself?

Rowenas story was inspiring to say the least. Here she had struggled for the right to learn and yet he was hiding his away... He quite honestly felt slightly disgusted with himself and he swore right then and there that he would do his best this next year, no more holding back!

Harry was determined as he turned to hear Helgas tale...

...

"Merlin didn't find me until I was seventeen," Helga started with a small sad smile.

"I was born Helga Howes, I did not come from a noble family. In fact my family had nothing but farmland which was passed from generation to generation. We were poor but we were happy and willing to help anyone who needed it. My mother however had died during childbirth when I was eight along with my younger brother. My father who had always been the most loving and caring man you could ever know was devastated and soon began to drink. When he wasn't at home drunk he would be working out in the fields. This was a time that wizard supremacy hadn't been excessively big. There was still the acts of secrecy but many wizarding families would work alongside muggles.

"With my father working so much or being completely incapacitated I was allowed relative free reign over our house and as such I began nursing the local children and even assisted in birthing quite a few children by the time I was fourteen. By this point in time my father had taken to sending one of his workers named William Hufflepuff to check on me at the house or to tell me he wouldn't be there for supper.

"As time went on Williams short visits would... Extend. It began gradually, he would pause in the doorway or ask a few questions, eventually it got to the point where he would spend all of his breaks at the house and even accompany me at night. I had fallen desperately in love with him and had even married him just before Merlin found me...

"It turns out that Godric and Salazar had gotten into a spat and their curses had rebounded onto Rowena. When they hit they mixed in the most interesting form but when Merlin heard of my apathy for healing he came to see me. That visit turned into Godric and Salazar threatening to kill each other for the chance to apologize and for me to hex them badly for nearly waking Rowena. Merlin it appears had been relatively impressed by my skills and had taken me on as an apprentice as well. My father had died just before William and I had married and William was able to accompany us so I was more than happy to go with them. We had left a trusted family friend a man named Arcturius Bilius Weasley in ownership of the farm and lands (which would later become known as 'The Burrow' in honor of my house at Hogwarts) and we moved on.

"During the time between our apprenticeship and the opening of Hogwarts I had decided to accompany Merlin on a visit to see his cousin a woman by the name of Morgana La Fey. We were to spend one week there and for that week all was splendid. She had seemed like a brilliant woman and I had wished to learn more from her however on the fifth night something went wrong...

"I had woken late into the night with the terrible feeling that something was vastly wrong. I had always been very sensitive to the feelings around me, you see I am whats called a 'receiver empath', I can feel the emotions of those around me to an extent but I can not change their moods. Through my empathy I had felt a cold chill seep into my bones and leach at my happiness. I had to find out what was wrong and so I followed this feeling, blocking out as much negativity as possible, until I reached a large clearing that was for some reason shrouded in mist and surrounded by ice.

"There in the middle of the clearing stood Morgana and she was surrounded by these horrible creatures that you know as Dementors. She stood there and cooed at them as though they were small children and I witnessed her summon a large rucksack from which she pulled a small child no older than eight. She threw that child at their feet and I witnessed the horrors that they are capable of.

"I ran straight to Merlin and told him of Morgana and her 'pets'. As Merlin was summoning the others Morgana returned and I confronted her. I will admit I was angry, exceedingly so, as well as disgusted by her. Where I had once seen a woman to idolize I now saw a woman who was positively vile.

"I don't really remember who threw the first curse but it was as if a war had been unleashed inside of that room. By the time that Morgana had fled most of the walls were crumling and everything inside of the room had been blasted to smithereens.

"From that time on I devoted the rest of my spare time to finding a way to destroy those foul creatures using a boggart which I found similated their effects.

"Eventually my attempts came to a standstill and Hogwarts was nearly completed. I had found that certain noble families were abusive to their house elves and so I rescued the original Hogwarts house elves from their abusive families and together we changed some of my family recipes to be used as the basis for the Hogwarts meals.

"By the time our first class of students were in their last year I had succeeded in creating the patronus charm. I first taught the others and together we taught our older students. That charm has saved many lives since its first creation but I'm ashamed to say that I was never truly able to release the final form of the patronus charm which would destroy instead of kill the Dementors which I had invented with Rowenas help.

"Salazars death was devastating to us all. William had decided that we should go on an outing in the muggle world. Get away for a orwhile and get our minds off of what was happening even if just for a while. As the day was ending and we were preparing to go back to Hogwarts a large number of Dementors began to attack the muggle town we were in...

"William was in the middle of the attack and I could tell that they were far to close to him. I cast patronus after patronus attempting to stave them off but unfortunately I had used a large amount of magic doing so...

"By the time I reached William it was too late, the Dementors hadn't gotten him but in all of the panic he had somehow become impaled by a branch from a nearby tree. It had pierced through his chest and he was slowly bleeding to death... I was too drained to do anything and there were still far too many dementors to even contemplate trying lest both of our souls be consumed...

"I summoned every last ounce of my remaining magic and used it to bind those creatures to the 'Council of Olde' which later became the Ministry Of Magic. They would go on to sentence the dementors to guarding Azkaban prison which used to be the prison for the worlds worse criminals...

"I died next to the love of my life with a smile on my face and having achieved what I set out to do. I made a way to protect people from the Dementors and I even helped to make a way to destroy them. In the end I also bound them so that they could not run rampant anymore. As Godric has said to me, I died showing the heart of a lion and the tenacity of a badger. I wouldn't change it for the world," Helga had proud tears shining in her eyes now and Harry could feel his respect rise that much more. Not only did she help all of those people but she also fought Morgana La Fey and invented not only the patronus charm but also a was to kill Dementors!? This was just unbelievable!

There was so much that the history books had missed! This knowledge could change everyone's outlook on the world!

And did she say that the Weasleys had gotten her property? How many times had he slept on that land not knowing its history? This was just mind boggling.

...

"I was Merlins first apprentice," Godric began as he gave Helga a short one armed hug.

"I, unlike the others, had lived a happy childhood. I was the only male heir to the Gryffindor line and had five younger simblings whome I loved dearly. Our family was much like the Weasley clan actually, large and extremely close.

"When I was fifteen my family was attacked by what we dubbed 'opportunists'. They would attack wealthy families and forcibly bond the women to themselves in an effort to elevate their families social position. These men were brutally swift. Many of my family were killed automatically during their ambush and as we fought back more and more of us were killed...

"I was trying to protect my youngest remaining sister from any further harm when Merlin showed up. Her name was Saffie and at the time she had already been very sick. If even one stray spell hit her no matter how weak it may be she would more than likely die... The men had already killed the rest of my family and I wasn't about to loose her as well. They had just been about to finish me off when Merlin intervened.

"He took both Saffie and I on as his wards and eventually I became his apprentice. Saffie however chose instead to brew healing potions rather than fight. She had even been the one to invented the potion 'Felix Felicis' or 'liquid luck' as well as the 'Draught of Living Death' after being apprenticed to one of Merlins friends who was a well known potioneer Malchior Flinne.

"I however was studious in my efforts to impress Merlin. I looked up to him as a second father and believed that I had to constantly prove myself worthy of and gain his pride even if I already possessed it. I never truly felt worthy of being his apprentice until a year after Salazar joined us.

"When Salazar was taken on I took it as a challenge at first and we would constantly be challenging each other to duels until it somehow settled from the bond of rivals into a more brotherly bond.

"Throughout my years I was always exceptionally determined to help those who were weak. I would travel throughout the globe wherever it was that trouble was reported and in doing so I became a world renown duelist...

"When Rowena had proposed her idea for a school I had been exceptionally pleased with it. I viewed it as a way for us to prepare the children to defend themselves in any situation they may encounter. As a way for us to teach them of how to protect themselves.

"Now here is something that you were probably not aware of about Hogwarts, there were more teachers than just us four and we did not split the children up completely. In fact we worked much in the same way as Hogwarts does now.

"I myself would primarily teach the defense classes, Helga charms, Rowena transfiguration and arithmancy, and Salazar potions. But we also had the other courses, all except for devination, which our partners taught. My wife Alexandra taught the students care of magical creatures, William taught herbology and muggle studies, Byron taught ancient runes as well as devination, and Saffie who had somehow wound up falling in love and marrying salazar assisted with potions and was our head healer.

"The students in our houses were able to come with us if they required assistance of any kind and we also gave them special instruction on other matters. Alexandra however was always by my side as were their wives and husbands, it was more like being taught by a small family away from home.

"Alexandra and I had actually met while I was on one of my escapades. I had saved her from a fire which had destroyed her home and we had instantly bonded. She had always been rather lacking when it came to magical strength but she was still a very strong and independent woman. During our time together she had become pregnant a total of four times. The first three pregnancies had ended in miscarriage before we were even aware that she was pregnant. During her last pregnancy both she and my son died during childbirth.

"Out of all of us I had lived to be the oldest. I died at the age of ninety three during my sleep. By this time Hogwarts was ready for the change. I left her in the capable hands of the next, or rather the first official, headmaster of Hogwarts as well as the Sorting had which had been made years prior when we were only forty one years old I believe," Godric finished as he sat back in his seat again.

Harry felt as though his eyes would stay this size forever. In fact he was positive that if he were to shave his head and apply large ears he would look remarkably like a house elf. He was not however aloud to contemplate this further as Salazar immediately began to speak...

...

"I as you obviously know, was Merlins second apprentice.

"My father had never been around, preferring instead to travel for his work. As a matter of consequence my uncle, our families 'dirty little secret' seeing as he was a squib, was the one to look after me... My uncle would beat me unmercifully for the simple fact that I had magic while he did not.

"When Merlin found out and my father refused to do what was right he took me under his own wing..." Here Salazar paused as he took a deep breathe as though resolving himself to telling some life-altering truth which in all honesty he more than likely was...

Looking up with steely determination in his eyes Salazar met Harry's green orbs straight on.

"I am not the man that you think I am Harry... The Salazar Slytherin that you know is not me, but my father.

"Yes I had different views on what should happen to muggle borns and how they should be educated but I would never wish for them to be killed.

"What I had wanted was for them to recieve lessons earlier... Sort of like a modern elementary. To teach them of our ways, to ensure that they were not ignorant of the ways of the wizarding world. For instance on the usage of quills, most children who come from the muggle world are atrocious at writing with them because they had grown up using muggle pens and pencils as you well know...

"Now onto the basilisk in my chambers... Yes they were my chambers, however they were my personal chambers! I used them to brew and experiment on various potions seeing as they require a relatively stable environment. Being under ground so far had given it a constant temperature and pressure...

"Anyways as you are already aware I had married Saffie, even I am unaware of how the little minx was able to get it out of me, but we never went on to have children... A potions accident had rendered her infertile unfortunately.

"Now, I am well aware that you have been in my chambers and met my fathers basilisk, but I know without a doubt you are wondering how it is that history has been recorded as such and so I shall tell you...

"One day Saffie and I had taken the best potions students to go and gather fresh ingredients for the next potion we were to make. Somehow my father had managed to infiltrate Hogwarts, polyjuiced as myself, and confronted Godric. Godric has of course known that it was not me and had confronted my father, this is the point where people today believe I left Hogwarts and began spreading trouble which is the farthest thing from the truth.

"When I had returned to the castle that afternoon Godric told me of what had happened. I set out after my father, he had no right to be in my life at this point and so I had finally tracked him down to the manor I had grown up in.

"It seems that he had been waiting for me and we both dueled furiously. By the time he fled we had both been severely injured. I never truly recovered from our battle and neither did my name...

"It took years for me to be strong enough for return to my chambers under the school. When I had entered I immediately noticed that something was wrong, when I found the basilisk sleeping inside the statue my father was insane enough to leave I had raced to warn Godric...

"My running had put severe stress on my body and by the time I left my chambers through the entrance I had made across from the Slytherin common room I could go no further.

"I told the first student who left the common rooms, Sebastian Gaunt, to warn Godric of what was in the chamber. He didn't, instead he stole my family locket and when I died, he spread the rumors that you know today.

"Sebastian Gaunt went on to claim himself as my heir using nothing but my locket as proof. Unfortunately since he did not attempt to enter my vaults he was never proven wrong.

"When Saffie had ventured into my vaults the next day to determine what had caused my collapse she too had run into the basilisk. Unfortunately, unlike when I saw it, she met its eyes. She died down in that chamber and I died within minutes of her.

"Godric was unable to do anything when he heard the rumors of the basilisk. When he finally realized that his sister was dead and not just in hiding...

"My name was never recovered and my death effected the others greatly. All of us who were left now were Helga, Rowena and Godric. I died trying to protect those that I loved one last time, the only thing that I would have done differently would have been to entrust the secret to another student and not to Sebastian Gaunt," Salazar finished his tale still looking straight into Harry's shocked eyes before turning towards Merlin as he started his own story.

...

"Well... Since you already know a large portion of my life story, which is actually recounted well, I will tell you of only what you do not know...

"When I had made Helga, Rowena, Salazar and Godric my apprentices I had also made them my magical heirs.

"To make someone your magical heir is to... adopt them into your family. They were all too old for me to adopt them and two of them had even already been married. To make someone your magical heir gives both parties a boost in power which includes any genetic abilities they may have as well as access to your vaults which of course they did not need. I made them my heirs for the simple fact that they were my children...

"When they were working on building Hogwarts I too helped by adding my own magic and protections to the building. I even have my own quarters within the walls which no one has ever found, even the marauders and those Weasley twins!

"When the sorting hat has first been made I was the one who had tested it. I am proud to announce that I am the first unofficial Slytherin student...

"Last which you need to know would be that how it is said I died is the truth. Shortly after the hat was created I did indeed fight Morgana for the last time. Morgana had attempted to merge me with an Elder tree off to the side of the clearing. As I was being absorbed I used the last of my strength and I pulled her with me into the tree.

"As time passed the tree began to die and we were both unable to escape from it. We moved on into the afterlife from there, and I was able to watch as my precious ones grew..."

~*!END OF CHAPTER 10*~

IMPORTANT NOTES!: Not all of this information is accurate! I have made changes in the actual histories so that they would better fit this story! None of the potions named above had been given a brewer and many of the people mentioned did not exist in the Harry Potter world! I remind you all that this story is AU and as you can tell I am using this to its full extent! That being said how would you all like to see a fiction on the founders' lives using this chapter as a basis? Since starting this chapter I just can't get that thought out of my head! I may even do one on Meskhenets past since I've received a few PM's stating that they enjoyed it. Let me know what you think! (BTW it is said by JK Rowling herself that Merlin attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. I found that neat and decided to keep it as a basis, so no it's not a crack against Merlin!)

AUTHORS NOTE: Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy Kwanzaa! Or if you don't celebrate anything, Hello friend! ^-^ Which ever you celebrate! :) Do you like your present? I wrote this chapter just for you guys~! :D

Update: Okay, ya. I know it's after Christmas now but its still a present! Just... Late. Think about it as though it came in the mail lol.
