Hey there readers! So I wrote the last chapter in 2009, and no, I'm not kidding. I also left fanfiction for a while (5 years to be specific) since I got caught up in school and such. Anyways, I was bored the other day and was going through my bookmarks when I remembered this site! I was reading all my old stories, including this one (and laughing at all of the terrible spelling and grammar, gimmie a break I was 14) and realized how much I missed it! So after reading through some reviews I spotted on from nonna99 and she had read my story three years after I had stopped posting and asked me to continue. The way I see it, if someone had the patience to go find a three year old story and read it, it's is worth continuing. So nonna99, this chapter is for you. Actually, the entire continuation of this story is for you! Thank you for bringing my spark back!

Calleigh began to tidy up around the house after Eric had left. She couldn't help but smile at her couch that now had a man sized dip in the center from where Eric had spent the night sleeping. She bent over and fluffed up the cushions and headed towards the back of her flat to the bathroom. After the weekend she had dealt with, a shower sounded like heaven. She started the water and began to get undressed when she heard a loud knock at her door. Thinking it was Eric back for something he had left she casually walked to her door in her bathrobe and opened it to see not Eric, but Jake. She took a step back and clutched the top of her robe to better shield herself. "How can I help you Jake?" Calleigh muttered as she still stood in the opening of the door.

"I just found this at my house from a while back and though you might want it" he replied plainly while pulling something out of his pocket. He dangled a gold chain around one of his fingers with a small cross on the end. The necklace her father had given her. She gave way to a small apologetic smile and opened her door so he could enter. He smiled back and dropped the necklace in her hand as he stepped in. "Sorry for stopping by on such short notice, I was just in the neighborhood. Didn't mean to interrupt" he said and he gestured towards Calleigh's current apparel. She blushed and looked down at her barely clothed body.

"I'm just gonna run and get dressed, do you mind?" She asked with her southern draw pulling through. Her cheeks still pink she felt relief when he laughed and nodded. She hurried off back to her room. While she was gone Jake got up and looked around her flat. Not much had changed. Same layout, same scent, same framed photos on the wall. He walked to where there used to be one of them together and felt anger when he realized it had been replaced with a candid one of her and the team. He grew irritated as he realized he had been replaced. The photo had Natalia wearing Horatio's glasses, Horatio with his arms crossed in disapproval, Ryan and Eric looking at each other laughing and his beautiful Calleigh between them. She was looking up at Eric smiling. 'So this is the new guy?' he thought with anger brewing. He never really had gotten over Calleigh, and now was his time to get her back.

Calleigh strode back into the room wearing baggy sweat pants and a loose white tee shirt and offered him a drink. He shook his head and headed back towards the couch. Calleigh grabbed a water bottle and plopped down on a seat by the television.

"So how have you been?" Calleigh asked politely as she sipped her water. He ran a hand through his shaggy hair and looked back at her. "Missing my beautiful Calleigh of course" he said with a laugh as not to scare her away yet. She looked a little awkward as she shifted her position on the seat. "I saw you replaced me on the wall!" He said with mock hurt even though he really was. She looked towards the wall and back to him "It would've been a little strange to keep it up there don't you think?" She replied calmly trying to make her stance clear.

"Oh come on Cal, don't tell me you're totally over us!" Jake said with the half smile that made her fall for him the first time around. She felt a little ping in her chest at the idea of their last kiss. She instantly regretted the feeling the second she felt it. She shook her head to rid herself of the memory. "We broke up for a reason Jake, you and I both know it wouldn't have worked out." Calleigh stated in defense as she got up from her seat. She walked back to the kitchen to put her water bottle down. Mostly to get some space. Jake followed close behind. When she turned back around he was there. Only inches away with the same smirk as before. He smelled like cigarettes and cologne. The most intoxication scent and she remembered it and all the memories it carried. She took a step back to create some space and ended up right up against her counter. He took a step closer to compensate for the newly added space. She looked down at her feet to avoid contact. She could feel his deep brown eyes burning into her figure. He ran his hand down one of her arms and held her hand. There was that feeling again. Her chest felt like it was on fire. Jake always had that ability. "Don't tell me you don't still think about me… about us" he said with a raspy voice. He leant down, their faces only an inch apart. Calleigh couldn't tell right from wrong and she was enticed with his scent and their memories. She was so lost in the moment that she almost gave in to him until he touched a hand to her face and all the reasons why they broke up came rushing back to her. She jerked away and walked towards her door.

"Calleigh.. come on come back" Jake tried to reason with her. He was so close. 'What an idiot' he though has he mentally scolded himself for ruining his chances. Calleigh opened the door and motioned for him to leave with her arms. She refused to make eye contact with him. "Leave. Now." She demanded, serious this time. He walked up to her and tried to reason but before he even opened his mouth she stopped him, "And don't you ever, come back". He stood with his mouth open for a moment and turned on a heel and walked away. She slammed the door shut behind him and locked the dead bolt. She slumped to the ground and felt her eyes heat up with tears threatening to fall. No. She promised herself she would never shed another tear from that man. She stood and walked to the bathroom. She splashed cold water on her face and took a deep breath. "Never again" the said softly to her reflection. She thought of Eric and their newly started relationship and worried if she had jumped too soon at the idea. Her head was racing with a million questions and she couldn't take it. She went and crawled back into bed and forced herself to sleep. Hoping that maybe she would wake up ready to start again.

Once again thank you all so much for reading! It feels good to be back and writing again! Next chapter is going to be a flash back to why they broke up and maybe another encounter? Possibly some more EC?! Come back to find out! Please review, let me know what you want to see!
