JJ and Will walked into the bar holding hands, she was feeling a little better since talking to Kenzie and Will but now she had to face the team. She was glad that Charlie and Rachel picked one of the smaller bars off Bourbon Street. They went to the bar to get drinks before they went to the table. As they walked up to the tables, she noticed Emily and Morgan smirking.
"Great." She mumbled.
"It will be fine." Will smiling at her as they approached the table.
JJ sat down next to Emily with Will on her other side.
"Gumdrop did you talk to princess?" Garcia asked.
"I did and now she is asleep."
Everyone shook their heads, she knew they were going to start on her and Will.
"So you decided to play with fire?" Morgan asked Will as he sat down next to him.
"Yeah, I told you she was something special."
"Did you make her keep it a secret from all us?" Emily asked.
"No, he didn't." JJ looking at them.
"Kiddo, we are asking him questions not you." Rossi chiming in.
Sam, Charlie, and Rachel were trying hard not to laugh.
"No, I did not. JJ preferred for it to be just between us."
"And you are willing to treat both Kenzie and JJ with respect?" Rossi asked.
JJ looked at Will, this was going to be a long night.
"Absolutely, they both deserve the best."
"Have you met Kenzie yet?" Reid asked.
"No but I talk to her on the phone when JJ is home."
Garcia decided to add to the fun.
"Which one of you has known Detective LaMontagne the longest?" she asked very serious.
"That would be me." Charlie speaking up.
"Did you know about him and my gumdrop?"
"I did. JJ and Kenzie are all he talks about."
Garcia shook her head.
"Since he has been talking to gumdrop has he talked to any other women?"
JJ looked interested in whatever Charlie was going to say.
"Not unless it is for work or telling someone that he already has a girl."
"What happen to his last girlfriend?"
Charlie looked at Will before saying anything, however Rachel answered before Charlie could.
"To put it nicely, she thought they she was too good to be with someone that was a detective."
"That was putting it nicely." Charlie
"Okay no more questions. We came out to have a good time." JJ
"Nice try." Morgan cracking a smile.
"You probably had Pen pull up everything anyway and none of you looked shocked when I told you."
"Give JJ a break." Hotch told the group.
"We didn't have Pen pull up anything, however you were ratted out by a certain, very cute 4 year old. We all knew something was going on but didn't know what it was." Emily explained.
"Kenzie told you?"
"Yes, when I asked her about her doll. She told me that she and mommy's friend Will sent it to her for Orleans." Emily explained.
"It didn't take long for Emily and I to put it together. We all knew that you were hiding something and figured at least at first it was the two of you. But when you didn't say anything, we were not so sure."
JJ took a deep breath before saying anything.
"Everyone not knowing about Will and I is on me. I liked the fact that no one knew because then it was private and we all know that it is hard to have any privacy on this team. I love all of you but I didn't want any of you to profile us."
"We know you well enough to know that you needed to take your time and let us know when you were ready." Hotch told her.
"We also know that you are happy and we can all see it." Rossi
JJ smiled at them, before leaning into Will.
"Okay, now let's get this party started." Sam told the group.
Everyone cheered before finishing their drinks and heading out to the small dance floor. JJ realized that she was glad that the team knew about Will but she also knew it was time for Will to meet Kenzie and that scared her.
