Kay and her army were at the edge of Anubis's army when they turned to black dust and blew over them like sand. When the dust settled down, Kay looked around and saw that they had won. "Thank Ra...Atemu...Joey...you guys did it."
Joey fell backwards into the huge crack with the fiery pit below him. Dartz and Atem also fell in. "NOOOO!" Tenshi and Yugi screamed. Just then Atem, Joey, and Dartz wer holding on to the edge trying to pull themselves up and out of the crevice. Tenshi got up and ran towards then and dodged all the stones that were collapsing down. She was followed closely by Yugi. "HOLD ON GUYS!" Tenshi and Yugi got to Atemu and Joey and were trying to pulled them up. Atem then noticed that the entrance was starting to close. "NO YOU TWO GO...JUST LEAVE US!" Joey nodded. "IF YOU GET TRAPPED HERE WE ALL WILL DIE!"
"I WON'T LEAVE YOU JOEY! NIETHER WILL I LEAVE ATEMU!" Tenshi and Yugi both said and they pulled them out of the crevice. They ran as fast as they could to get out of the throne room. Then they noticed that Angelina ran and left Dartz to die. She ran and fell down into a pit of man-eating beetles. "Lets go!" they ran up the stairs and noticed that the jungles of the oaisis was being sucked up into the pyramid. Atemu looked up and saw that they had to climb. "Up! We have to go up!" Joey nodded and the five of them got to the outside of the pyramid and climbed to the top were they were trapped. "Joey! What are we going to do!?" Tenshi panicked. Joey was just as scared. "I have no clue! Just stay with me." They were in each other's arms. Atemu looked around and Yugi held on to Atemu's sleeve. "Atemu..."
"I know...I think this is it..." they held on to each other thinking the worst. "HEY DOWN THERE! CLIMB ABOARD!" the group looked up and saw Mai flagging them down. "MAI!?" she lowered a rope ladder and smirked. "Now hurry up and get on." One by one they got on the air ship. Atemu watched as the pyramid disappeared in a sea of green then in a sea of sand. "There goes a treasure." Ryou said sadly. Atemu smiled. "that is something we didn't have to begin with...now that it is gone...it is back where it belongs...with Anubis." Just then there was a hawk that landed on Atemu's shoulder. It was Ra. "Ah...my fateful friend...what do you bring me?" attached to it's leg was a note from Kay. Atemu read it. "Look down." He looked over the side and saw his Maji warriors and Kay waving to him. Atemu smiled and waved back. He watched as Kay rode her horse towards the air ship following it from the ground. "Hey Mai...can you lower the ship?"
"Yea..." Mai smirked as she lowered the altitude. Atemu rolled out the rope ladder and climbed down and dangled as Kay's horse got closer. He dropped down onto the horse and in the saddle with Kay. He then pulled the reigns and waves. "I will see you soon my friends." Atemu waved goodbye. Yugi, Tenshi, Joey, and Ryou waved as they saw Atemu and Kay get smaller and smaller. Kay looked at Atemu. "Ate...I mean Pharaoh I thought I said..." but instead of letting her finish what she was going to say. Atemu kissed her passionately. "I don't ever want to lose you again."
"Atemu...for a moment...I thought I lost you..." Atemu pulled Kay close and rested his chin on her head. "For a moment...you did...but I'm here now and I will never leave you again." Atemu gave Kay another passionate kiss and they both rode off into the desert sunset.
Back on the air ship, Tenshi and Joey held each other's hand tightly. "Joey...will you forgive me?"
"For what?"
"For letting myself get consumed in my work and forgetting my most precious treasure."
"And what would that be Tenshi?" She stuck her tongue out. "You silly!" Joey laughed. "I was never mad...you are my most precious treasure Tenshi...don't ever forget it." He gave her a kiss on the cheek and watched as the sun sets on another picture perfect ending.
