Hi everyone! It's time now for Part 3 of my nine-part JESSIE adventure!

Part 3 is called "Zuri in Shanghai", it has something to do relationships, competitions, and mystery. Don't want to give too much away here, just keep reading. :)

Our traveling group had left Beijing and arrived at ambient but busy Shanghai. Even though Beijing is the capital of China, but the ambience in here appeared to be more evident than that in Beijing, it was probably because of Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

Everyone was going to stay in Shanghai for four days, they had been warmly welcomed by Lelle's dad's friend Robert the second they were off the plane. The group wanted to go out for dinner at first, but Robert insisted everyone to go to his place for his cooking. Everyone thought that in this way they could see a typical Chinese family, so they accepted the invitation.

Robert has always been a big fan of golf. He often invites a bunch of his friends and starts a competition, then he would get a really good result at the end. His wife Julia takes care of two kids at home, and she go out with her friends sometimes. The first daughter Winnie has good grades, but is a very quiet girl, she does not talk much. Her little brother Terry is very active boy, he likes to play video games. He already got his red belt in Tae Kwon Do when he was six.

But an evening filled with warmth would soon become a tragedy, and this case was even a matter of life and death. Why, you may ask? Three words: Tony, Wool, Allergic. Yes, two years ago, Tony and Jessie's fourth first date had failed because of a wool scarf. Tony was allergic wool and his neck was all swollen, it was to the point that he found it hard to breathe on the way to the hospital. But this time, he sat on a wool sofa and got his whole body itchy. Lelle had to cancel the rest of the plan for that night and took tony to Hongqiao Hospital.

In the hospital, everyone waited impatiently outside the emergency room for nearly three hours. Lelle bought something to eat for everyone, in case of whiner and hunger. After a long and painful waiting time, the doctor came out and said: "He's fine now, it's just a rash on the skin, and it's okay now. He can stay here overnight and get out tomorrow morning." Everyone was cheering at this instance, it seemed like this little accident did not affect the schedule and the mood for the whole trip.

10:50 P.M, everyone went to rest at the room nearby. Jessie was in the ward alone, she was there, taking care of Tony and squeezing his hand hard, and then whispered, "All right, it's okay now. On the other hand, I won't let anything happen to you, or anyone else in the group."

This was when Zuri came in, she was holding Chubby the Bear, and she looked worried.

"Zuri, what's wrong? Can't sleep? Or you are still worried about Tony? Don't worry, I'm keeping an eye on him." Jessie's question set was probably not what was going on inside Zuri's mind. No one in the world can get the mind of a nine-year old girl. But Jessie is a nanny, she walked towards Zuri and tried to get her to tell the things going on in her mind, "Okay, sweetie. I know what I just said weren't the problems in your head right now. So, if you have something, just tell me, I won't judge."

Zuri was about to cry, she putted Chubby on the side, and began, "I… I'm just thinking… that you two would be a great couple. Since when you first met Tony, I thought that you two would live happily ever after, but…"

"But what?"

"Not long ago. Ted? Vic? Remember? Oh man, you had so many break-ups that you couldn't remember them all. Even though I told Tony not to do this with you, not to do that with you. But inside my heart, I really hoped that you two could make good progress. That day I was sitting on the toilet, more precisely, on Emma's lap. That was the saddest way of my life. Yeah, you heard me, saddest. You know what, Jessie? Your break-up with Tony is a 'the biggest mistake that you ever made', according to Lelle. If Emma is here right now, she would agree with me. Other than the fact that she would throw in some fancy words that she thinks are pretty smart."

Jessie signed and prepared to find a good reason to persuade Zuri that breaking up with Tony was a smart decision. "Listen, other than that Tony and I didn't have feelings for each other, we also didn't have anything in common. I don't like his bowling skills, he does not my foreign movies. The couple is a pair who can have something in common, some activities they could both enjoy. Let me get this get, if Stuart forced you to share a day with him, would you be all happy?"

"No, but he's pretty useful sometimes, so he's still my normal friend."

"See, that's the reason why you and him are not a thing, he always got you crazy, and you don't know what to do, right? I just felt that if we continue our relationship, it would turn out badly."

"What is 'couple', how do you define 'couple'?"

Jessie was frozen to her spot, she remembered the night she broke up with Tony, she heard this from Lelle when video chatting with him. "Let me guess, you'll talk about Lelle's Tessie Seven Plans, right?"

"Yeah! I know that relationship is valuable, and Chubby know that too, but no one knows it better than Lelle does. He wrote that break-up report a few month ago. Then it was meme, then video, then chat, then a fight with Brody, then an adaptation of your "Best Year of My Life", and he even carefully set a trap for you and Tony. For celebrating Lelle and your birthday, we ran across Italy and France. After what we have done, you still don't have feelings for Tony? Chubbs really cares about relationships. No wonder he doesn't like you, because you just missed a chance of lifetime of relationships. If you don't want to get back together with Tony, think about us kids. When you broke up, Emma and I couldn't hold the pressure. What about us kids?"

Jessie heard Zuri's arguments, she started to take this one at a time, "Okay, first, I have to admit that Lelle did a lot to get Tony and I back together, but he's just like you guys, thinking problems on a friend's point of view. Lelle is just two years older than Emma, still in school, and just started to find their second half. But after so many break-ups and heartbreaks, I know what it feels like to have a burnt-out spark. With that been said, I still want to thank you all to let me realize that Tony is the best person I have broken-up with, and he's the only ex-boyfriend I have that I will still keep as a friend. The truth is, I can't let go of Tony either, but we still haven't found out breaking point, so Tony and I will stay as friends, until we can find the love again. Also, Lelle did everything based on his experience from falling in love ONCE, he's still an amateur in terms of relationship."

Jessie turned around after she was done, Lelle was standing right there, just in front of the door. He crossed his arms, trying to think something through.

Jessie and Zuri felt awkwardness at this very second. "Uh, Lelle, you heard our conversation."

Lelle said after coming in and sitting down. "Oh, no. I heard it from the part where she said that day was her saddest day. Look, I'm not here to bring up anything, it's just I want you to rest, and I will keep an eye on Tony. I'll just sit beside Tony, and change today's show from broadcast to board discussion. Honestly, I don't want to do this either, but I don't want to wake you guys up, and this is the only way."

Jessie walked Zuri slowly out of the room, before she left, she realized that the conversation was a little unusual, and she did not want others to know what they talked about. So she turned her head and talked to Lelle. "Uh, about the conversation earlier, as long as you heard it, can you keep a secret? You know, don't tell Tony, the group, or the whole world."

Lelle smiled, held out his pinkies for pinky promise, which was a sign of agreement.

Many questions are left in this chapter. For those of you who haven't watch Jessie and Tony break up, you may wondering: how did they break up? And even if you know the break-up inside out: Who's Lelle's love? What happened with Lelle, Jessie and Tony in Italy and France? And most importantly, what are Tessie Seven Plans, and why did it exist. You will have to find the answers to these questions around Victoria Day long weekend (May 16-19) when I post Chapter 11!
