Captain XZero: Of course it doesn't. Digimon is created to entertain children and that… part… is obviously not for children's eyes. It is rated M for a reason after all. Sometimes, I do wonder if I am, as you say, a sick twisted individual :P But then again, it is necessary to add some excitement to the story. Harry and Havoc have been winning too much lately and I, being the sadistic bastard (hehehe), choose to let them suffer. Ku ku ku ku ku ku…..
twilightserius: Sadly, I don't collect digimon cards so I have no idea what you're talking about. I do collect extremely few (a deck or two worth of cards) yu-gi-oh cards though… Now I'm rambling. Anyways, it will be overkill if Harry and Havoc can use each other's powers. Havoc is supposed to be the compliment to Harry as Harry is to Havoc. A PERFECT WITH NO FLAW character is not really my taste. I don't do sue(s) (both for male and female counterpart) after all.

Sadly, the marginal increase on the review has started to die down (pout). I know that the last chapter has greatly disappointed you guys but please, review. Anything as long as it's constructive. Reviews are a sign of how much the readers appreciate my fiction and it will always brighten up my day to read each of your comment (including the flames because there's always something useful under all those derogatory and foul complaints :P).

Chapter 11: Light of Benevolence, Vritramon! Open, Gate to Odaiba!

"Where's Vamdemon-sama?" asked Demidevimon.
"He's in the study chamber," replied a passing Bakemon. Without any further glance, Demidevimon fly to said chamber and lands in the immaculate marble tile.
"Vamdemon-sama!" said Demidevimon as he bowed his head.
"Demidevimon, how goes the recruitments?" asked Vamdemon.
"It's been going well sir! Many capable troops from all around Server Continent are gathering!" reported Demidevimon excitedly.
"Very good… I expect great results coming from them," said Vamdemon.
"Of course sir! They will surely-" began Demidevimon.
"Ahahahaha! You mean those wimps in front of Vamdemon-sama's castle?" chimed a high pitched voice from the darkness.
"Who is that?!" asked Demidevimon angrily.
"Tailmon, what news do you have?" asked Vamdemon while cursing Demidevimon's idiocy in his head.
"Great warriors, both adult level and perfect level, have been convinced to fight under your name Vamdemon-sama. They are veteran warriors that is known for their might in each of their areas," said a white feline digimon with a long tail while making an exaggerated bow.
"As always, great job Tailmon. Prepare them in that gate. Demidevimon, I hope those 'capable' troops that Tailmon call as wimps are at least, able to serve as a distraction," said Vamdemon coldly while glaring at the shivering bat digimon.
"Vamdemon-sama, preparations for the gate is ready. Your presence is required for the rest of the process my Lord," bowed Bakemon in respect.
"Very good. What about my 'weapon'?" asked Vamdemon.
"He has recovered nicely. Should I bring him here?" replied Bakemon.
"Yes. Bring him in front of the gate now. Tailmon, bring our troops to the gate. Demidevimon , leave this place and organise your wimps of a troops. Also, watch the castle perimeters for the children and their digimon. Fail even this simple task and I will obliterate you," glared Vamdemon as he pressed a secret compartment in his study, opening a door leading to underground.
Digital World, Server Continent, Vamdemon's Castle
"LINE UP MAGGOTS!" roared a miniature sized humanoid digimon. Rushing and pushing against each other, Numemon, Sukamon and Vegimon hurriedly organise themselves in a proper order.
"Now…" began Nanimon.
"WAIT! We want to enlist as Vamdemon-sama's troops," said Veemon and Palmon wearing various wigs.
"Who are you?!" growled Nanimon.
"I'm Punkveemon," introduced Veemon.
"And I'm Reggaepalmon," followed Palmon.
"You look stupid. But hmm… the two of you are at least better than these trashes. Line up with the others!" yelled Nanimon. Suddenly, Demidevimon arrived out of nowhere.
"Sensei, how are they?" asked Demidevimon.
"No need to worry! I'll whip them up to shape!" said Nanimon.
"Okay, then. I'm counting on you!" said Demidevimon as he flew away. Both Veemon and Palmon breathe a sigh of relieve since Demidevimon didn't recognise any of them.
"NOW! JUMP SQUAT FOR ONE THOUSAND TIMES!" roared Nanimon as Veemon and Palmon's face paled drastically.
'Harry! I hate you!' complain Veemon and Palmon amidst the 'torture' forced on them.
Digital World, Server Continent, Vamdemon's Castle, Interdimensional Gate
A large black gate lies before them with a pedestal right in front of it. Above the pedestal with nine card slots, Vamdemon floats while holding a handful of black cards and chanting ancient languages. Waves of dark power swirls around Vamdemon as his chanting grew louder. Below, numerous amount of digimon looked at the vampire figure in awe and admiration.
Suddenly, Vamdemon throw all of the cards in his hands above. Several cards burn with black flames as the other cards glow ominously with dark power before placing themselves on the pedestal. Vamdemon ends his chanting and slowly levitated back to the ground before facing the other digimon.
"Soon, we will begin our invasion to the human world. Once there, we must find the ninth child at all cost. Now, send a portion of your energy to power the gate. Geogreymon!" ordered Vamdemon.
"Yes sir?" asked Geogreymon in drone-like voice.
"The children will come here soon. I want you to be our last line of defence. Kill them all and follow me to the human world," said Vamdemon.
"Yes, my Lord," answered Geogreymon while kneeling, head perking up a bit at the mention of the children.
"Kill them all, understand? I shall not accept any failures," said Vamdemon as he used his strongest compulsion to influence Geogreymon. Shuddering, Geogreymon's eyes shine a brilliant crimson before nodding his affirmation.
"Very good… Now, stay here. There is something that I have to do," said Vamdemon as he made a dramatic leave with billowing cloak.
Digital World, Server Continent, Vamdemon's Castle
"WHY ARE YOU STOPPING MAGGOTS?! THERE ARE STILL A THOUSAND OF PUSH UPS AND SIT UPS AND A HUNDRED LAPS TO RUN AROUND THE PLACE!" roared Nanimon as the digimon fell to the ground, panting harshly in extreme exhaustion.
"What… is… this…? I… only enlist… because… I can… get foods…," complained one of the Sukamon as he panted in sheer exhaustion.
"Yes! We want food!" panted Numemon.
"Hmph! YOU MAGGOTS ARE SO PATHETIC! REST FOR FIVE MINUTES YOU WORTHLESS WIMPS!" roared Nanimon.
"What's with that attitude? He's so arrogant!" complained Palmon.
"You just knew? Nanimon can only order someone but when it is time to fight, he will only hide behind others," said one of the Vegimon.
"I wonder if there's a way to prank him," wondered Veemon.
"I know! Nanimon really likes alcohol! Let's make him drink a lot," said Numemon.
"But where can we find alcohol here?" asked Veemon. As the other tried to think of something, Palmon's eyes wandered to a room in one of the tower.
"I wonder if there are some in his room," wondered Palmon.
"That's it! There must be a lot in his room!" said Sukamon.
"But how are we going to go to his room? It's so high!" whined Vegimon.
"I can get it! I can stick to the wall and climb easily," offered Numemon as he moved to the room while the others distract Nanimon.
Digital World, Server Continent, Vamdemon's Castle, Nanimon's Room
"Heh, you made us suffer. Let's see you handle all these drinks," chuckled Numemon. Tying the entire bottle of alcohols that he could find to a parachute, Numemon send every drink downstairs. Suddenly, the loud screaming voice of Nanimon died down as sounds of drinking starts to fill the entire place.
"Good… Drink to your content, bastard!" laughed out Numemon as Nanimon performed several acrobatics to catch all of the drinks that fell out of his room and began drinking all of them at once. As a result, Nanimon passed out due to the amount of alcohol in his body.
"Looks like he passed out, Veemon," said Palmon.
"Yeah… Let's send a signal to the others to invade the castle," said Veemon. Nodding to each other, he and Palmon covertly spread the sleeping draught mixed by Harry to create an opening. Once they have ensured that all of the digimon have fallen asleep, Veemon and Palmon made the signal to invade the castle.
Few minutes later, a group of children and digimon approached Veemon and Palmon. Seeing them, Veemon and Palmon removes their disguises and invade Vamdemon's castle.
Digital World, Server Continent, Vamdemon's Castle, Interdimensional Gate
"How goes the energy level?" asked Vamdemon.
"It's ready Vamdemon-sama," replied Bakemon.
"Vamdemon-sama!" said Demidevimon as he scampered into the room.
"What?" asked Vamdemon.
"There's nothing suspicious around the castle," reported Demidevimon.
"No children? I had thought that they will come for their friend," murmured Vamdemon in deep thought.
"I am sure, Vamdemon-sama. I have circled this castle for three times and I saw nothing suspicious," said Demidevimon.
"Very well then. OPEN THE GATE," ordered Vamdemon as he raised his hands. Slowly, light began to shine from the black gate and opened completely.
"Now, let's go to the human world!" ordered Vamdemon as his troops went to the gate. Vamdemon go inside his own carriage with Geogreymon following him. As all of his troops have crossed to the human world, the Vamdemon enters his carriage with Geogreymon moving robotically to follow Vamdemon.
"VAMDEMON!" roared Harry. Pausing in his tracks, Vamdemon moves to return to the hall.
"Chosen children, I had thought that all of you weren't coming. Look over there, the gate to the human world has finally opened, too bad that you weren't invited. But don't be sad, I have planned an event for you. You may hate me but let's see if you can hate you former friend enough to destroy him," said Vamdemon while smirking cruelly as Geogreymon roared, approaching the chosen children.
"But then again, one adult level is hardly a challenge against seven adult levels that can evolve to their perfect level. Let's even the odd shall we, Tailmon?" continued Vamdemon as he returns to his carriage and approach the gate.
"Ha-Havoc?" gasped a white faced Mimi.
"Vamdemon-sama wished for your destruction… Die, Chosen Children," said Geogreymon with no emotion in his voice.
"Guys! Let's evolve!" ordered Taichi. Nodding, the other six children pointed each of their Digivice to their partners.
"Veemon shinka… Veedramon"
"Gabumon shinka… Garurumon"
"Tentomon shinka… Kabuterimon"
"Palmon shinka… Togemon"
"Piyomon shinka… Birdramon"
"Gomamon shinka… Ikkakumon"
"What's with that white cat? Shh shh, go away!" said Jou as he noticed Tailmon.
"You shouldn't judge others by their appearance and it is always not good to underestimate your enemy," said Tailmon as a vein throbbed in her head.
"Neko Punch!" said Tailmon as she made several acrobatic jumps and knock down Kabuterimon, Togemon and Ikkakumon.
"She's strong! Garurumon! Strike now!" ordered Yamato.
"Fox-" began Garurumon.
"Mega Shot!" roared Geogreymon as a ball of pure energy made a clean hit on Garurumon. Yelping, the build-up of Fox Fire shoots upward, creating a pillar of hot blue flame.
"Harry…" whined Dorumon as he nudged Harry's hand.
"…I know. Guys! Leave Havoc to me, deal with that white cat. According to Digivice Analyser, even though she's small, she is an adult level. Do not underestimate her!" said Harry as he run to Havoc while focusing magic to his limbs.
(The fight between the children and Tailmon is the same as canon)
With Harry and Dorugamon
"Dorumon! Hold on tight to my shoulder!" ordered Harry. Nodding, Dorumon jumped onto Harry's shoulder while gripping tightly to Harry's shirt. Dashing straight to Havoc, Harry jump to Havoc's body and focuses majority of his magic to his right hand fist.
"OKASHO!" roared Harry as his fist made a sickening crunch to Havoc's body and propels him backward, crashing to the wall. Groaning from the impact, Havoc shakes his head and stared directly to Harry and Dorumon.
"Havoc! Snap out of it!" shouted a panting Harry.
"My name is Geogreymon. I am Vamdemon-sama's servant. There is no Havoc," spoke Havoc as he raised his fist before launching it to Harry. Dorumon guards against the incoming fist with both of his hands, grunting with effort at the heavy blow. Seeing the struggling Dorumon, Harry focuses his magic and weaves several hand signs.
"Conforta! Augete! Celero!" shouted Harry as light surrounded Dorumon, allowing him to repel Havoc's attack. Observing the battle, Harry watched with a heavy heart as his partner fights Dorumon who is overwhelmed despite the buff spells casted by Harry. Gritting his teeth in determination, Harry starts to direct Dorumon so that he can move more efficiently.
"Havoc! It's me! Harry, your partner! WAKE UP!" shouted Harry.
"I-I… I'm Geogreymon, Vamdemon-sama's servant," spoke Havoc as tremors filled his body. Due to the slight distraction, Dorumon is able to gain the upper hand and lands a solid blow on Havoc's sternum. The blow, enhanced by Harry's spell and Dorumon's natural strength, is enough to send Havoc into a coughing fit.
"Havoc! Just stop! You're being controlled by Vamdemon!" shouted Dorumon as he winced at the blow he gave to Havoc. Growling in anger, Havoc grunted a 'Blaster Tail' before launching Dorumon to a wall with a sickening crack. Eyes widening, Harry retreat immediately and began assessing Dorumon's wound.
"Damn it! Your backbone and skull is fractured! Not to mention that some of your ribs are broken as well!" said Harry as he tried to use his magic to heal some of the damage. However, a large shadow fell over them as Dorumon looked on in horror at the opened maw of Havoc.
"Harry! WATCH OUT!" screamed Dorumon as Harry looked to his behind.
"Mega Flame!" growled Havoc as flames washes the both of them. Looking at the scene with dispassionate eyes, Havoc turned to the other children and their fight with Tailmon and moves to assist Tailmon. Suddenly, light shines out of the dissipating flames and a glowing figure came out of the flame.
"Dorumon shinka… Dorugamon!" shouted a larger form of Dorumon with dark, almost black steel-like fur and dark blue stripes adorning it.
"You okay Harry?" asked Dorugamon as both of them coughed from the burns.
"I-I'm fine. But how do you evolve? Only Havoc is supposed to react to my Digivice since he's my partner," asked Harry as he looked on his Digivice.
"I don't know but I don't think it's time to wonder about that. He's coming, Harry!" spoke a worried Harry. Eyes widening, Harry tried to think of a strategy yet no sounds left his mouth. Seeing that Harry has no orders, Dorugamon ran forward and met each of Havoc's blows with his own.
"Power Metal!" yelled Dorugamon as a huge metal sphere flew out of Dorugamon's snout.
"Mega Roar!" roared Havoc as the attack successfully deflected the incoming metal ball back to its user. Cursing, Dorugamon flew to avoid his deflected attack.
"Mega Flame!" shouted Havoc as pillars of orange flames emerged from Havoc's snout and aimed to the flying Dorugamon.
"Power Metal!" shouted Dorumon as another metal ball, huge enough to delay the flame, flew out of Dorugamon's mouth while Dorumon flew to safety.
"Blaster Tail! Horn Impulse!" roared Havoc as Blaster Tail managed to disrupt Dorumon's flight and the Horn Impulse made a clean hit to Dorumon's unprotected side. Roaring in pain, Dorugamon is launched to the air, colliding with the roof of the room and falls ungracefully to the unforgiving floor. Leaping out of the floor, Dorugamon narrowly dodged the 'Mega Shot' and took flight once more while firing more Power Metals.
"Harry! Snap out of it! I can't match against Havoc! He's too strong!" shouted Dorugamon as he started to get overwhelmed at the superior strength of Havoc. Yet, Harry watched on, spellbound at the raging digimon that was once his partner. Howling in pain as another strong blow hit his gut, Dorugamon crashes to the ground beside him.
"At l-least… tell me his weakness!" coughed out Dorugamon.
"BUT HE'S MY PARTNER!" yelled Harry.
"If we stay like this, WE'RE DEAD! HAVOC IS GONE, REPLACED BY THIS MONSTER! WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT!" roared Dorugamon in sheer frustration. Flinching, Harry looked on at the hulking figure of orange dinosaur, walking slowly towards their position.
"T-the weakness of Havoc is…" stuttered Harry. Cursing, Dorugamon grabbed Harry and jumped to avoid another salvo of Mega Shot.
"Please, Harry. I want to protect you, even from Havoc. I'm not as strong as he is so please, tell me his weakness," pleaded Dorugamon as he landed on the ground. Hearing the desperation from his second partner's voice, Harry closed his eyes in resignation.
"The weakness of Havoc is… the back of his head where it is not protected by the skull. One clean hit will be enough to topple him down or even… kill him," spoke Harry as he opened his eyes in determination.
"And I will be the one to do it. As his partner, as his friend and for my… very first friend," whispered Harry quietly as tears cascaded down his cheeks. Wincing, Dorugamon watched on quietly, believing that Harry has some sort of plan in his mind to defeat Havoc. Wiping his eyes, Harry wiped his face of any emotion and looked at the approaching Havoc.
"Havoc is strong; I made sure of that especially his Mega Flame and Mega Burst. We cannot win with direct confrontation. To win, we must make use of that overwhelming strength. Will you believe and fight with me, Dorugamon?" asked Harry.
"Of course. I owe that much to you and to Havoc for saving me from that disgusting factory," said Dorugamon passionately. Nodding, Harry whispered to Dorugamon to avoid Havoc from catching wind of his plan.
"Can you do it?" asked Harry quietly.
"…It's not a matter of can or can't. We just do it," answered Dorugamon as his eyes took on a hard glint. Nodding, Harry made several hand seals while focusing his magic on his hands.
"Power Metal!" shouted Dorugamon as he flew straight to Havoc. Growling in annoyance, Havoc swatted each of the metal balls before firing another batch of Mega Shot. Dodging expertly, Dorugamon fires more of his Power Metal to Havoc.
"Mega Roar!" shouted Havoc as the attack once more, deflected each of the metal balls away from Havoc. Not one to be discouraged, Dorugamon continues firing more Power Metal and forces Havoc to swat away each of the metal balls.
"Caligo!" said Harry as mist starts to fill the place. Seeing that Harry's strategy worked, Dorugamon flew as high as possible and began charging his next attack. Meanwhile, Havoc growled his annoyance and tried to dissipate the mist.
"Blaster Tail!" roared Havoc as he slams his tail towards the ground, hoping that the dust is enough to blow away the mist. However, the enclosed space and the fact that Harry continues producing more mist, made Havoc's attack spread the mist around. Seeing that the visibility is near zero, Harry stops the spell while moving to a certain position.
"Mega Flame!" said Havoc as pillars of flames danced around the mist, quickly evaporating them as water vapour rises. Seeing the stationary flying figure above made Havoc stops his attack as he realises Harry's plan and charge for his strongest attack.
"Cannoball!" roared Dorugamon as an iron sphere, larger than anything Dorugamon has ever fired spewed out of his mouth and fly straight to Havoc.
"Mega Burst!" roared Havoc as white flames in large quantity flew straight to the metal ball. Clashing, the metal ball starts to melt due to the intense heat and the fire starts moving to Dorugamon. Gritting his teeth, Dorugamon follows his attack with more Power Metal, hoping against hope that it can stand against Havoc's Mega Burst. Alas, the new iron spheres quickly melt after coming in contact with the white hot flame and the flame moves steadily towards Dorugamon's position.
"ARGH!" howled Dorugamon in sheer pain as the flames burn his fur.
'Now Harry!' thought Dorugamon desperately as he tried to move away from the intense flame.
"TSUTENKYAKU!" roared Harry as he focuses the last of his magic to his heel to perform his signature attack. Eyes widening, Havoc stops his attack as he looked at the back of his head at the incoming heel drop. Seeing the widening eyes of Havoc made Harry faltered in his attack and miss the target. With gleaming crimson eyes, Havoc slams the back of his palm towards his former partner.
Letting out a cry of pain, Harry is launched from mid-air and slams heavily against a wall. Seeing the falling figure of Dorugamon, Havoc roared out a Mega Shot that made a clean hit to the adult level digimon. Howling in pain once more, Dorugamon made a spectacular crash to the floor as he loses his consciousness. Then, Havoc leapt to the whimpering figure of Harry and grabbed his body before throwing it across the room, leading to another crash with a wall.
Coughing up blood, Harry opened his eyes, blearily peering on the walking Havoc. As he tried to stand, his shaky legs are unable to support his weight and he falls down to the ground. As the sound of Havoc's footsteps stops, Harry raised his head only to be grabbed by Havoc as he placed Harry directly in front of his face.
"Why did you stop? Had you not purposefully miss that attack, it would have killed me and you would have won," asked Havoc. Letting out a chuckle, Harry spat another mouthful of blood before answering.
"How can I? You're my friend, the only one to whom I can trust with my life. You guide me, showed me hope in the face of despair. You're not just partner to me anymore… You're my family," said Harry as he coughed out another mouthful of blood. Eyes widening, Havoc's crimson eyes starts to blur with tears as the blue colour return slightly.
"And if… If with my life you can regain your sanity, I will gladly give it to you. This… is my choice," said Harry with a smiling face. Tears started to flow down Havoc's cheek as the crimson colour began to fade away.
"Why? How can you give that much for someone like me?" asked Havoc as emotions starts to flow out to his voice, for the very first time since Havoc was fighting with Harry and Dorugamon.
"Because you're the most important companion for me," said Harry. Suddenly, a brilliant golden light shined out of Harry's crest and surrounded a screaming Havoc. Opening his maw, black gooey substance starts to flow out and merge with his outer body. This leads to an explosion of light that floods the entire place, forcing the chosen children and all of the digimon to shield their eyes.
"Geogreymon chou-shinka… Vritramon!" roared out Havoc as he emerged from the light.
The rest of the occupants in the room, including Dorugamon who awoke from the shockwave of the evolution, gaped upon seeing Havoc's next form. Huge, crimson coloured dragon with feathery orange wings stood tall at fifteen feet. The crimson armour worn by said dragon accentuates huge muscle lies within as a pair of deadly looking gauntlet, the 'Rudriya Darpana';rest on either side of his hands.
"Harry…" said a terrified Havoc with a white face upon seeing Harry's broken body.
"Heh… you evolved and again, when it's really needed. You okay?" asked Harry, coughing slightly from the injuries.
"You… I… I did this to you?" asked Havoc with horror filling his voice.
"Not you, but Vamdemon. He controlled you and thus, he's the one responsible. But look at you, you look amazing," said Harry in wonder as his eyes starts to droop.
"I…I…" stuttered out Havoc as he tried and failed to speak due to the shock of hurting his partner.
"Now, if you keep your mouth open, things might go inside you know," joked Harry as he coughed out blood.
"Forgive me, I…I…!" said Havoc as tears fell freely.
"It's okay and I'm fine, at least… for now. But Havoc, the others need your help. Please, help them… and bring us back to Earth," said Harry as his body stilled and his eyes closed. Watching his partner fell to unconsciousness, Havoc placed his partner in the ground while calling for Dorugamon.
"Please, protect him. And I'm sorry for hurting you too, Dorugamon," said Havoc.
"Don't worry, I'll give my life to protect him and me getting hurt is not your fault. Like Harry said, it's Vamdemon's fault," replied Dorugamon. Nodding thankfully, Havoc wiped away his tears as he glared at the hordes of Devidramon.
"You will pay," declared Havoc threateningly as he advanced to the group of digimon.
'Not good. Vamdemon-sama said that Havoc is the strongest among the chosen children digimon and he evolved to his next stage!' thought Tailmon as two Devidramon is overwhelmed by the rest of the digimon.
'Looks like there's no choice…' thought Tailmon as she awakens four more Devidramon.
"Now is the time to reveal your true form, Devidramons! JOGRES EVOLUTION!" shouted Tailmon as her holy ring shined brightly.
"Devidramon… Jogres shinka… Mephistomon!" roared three Mephistomon as the children looked on in horror.
"Only three? Don't think that only three perfect will be enough to stop me!" snarled Havoc as he watched the scampering figure of Tailmon.
"Oh, I have no stupid thought that it will stop you. But it will certainly be enough to delay you. And now… buh-bye!" grinned Tailmon as she helped close the gate to prevent the children from crossing.
"She's closing the gate! We have to get in there!" yelled Taichi as he ran forward. However, three Mephistomon suddenly blocked his path.
"Ugh, we don't have time for you! Evolve, Veedra-" growled Taichi before being interrupted by Havoc.
"Corona Blaster!" roared Havoc as numerous fireballs, each the size of his own head, flew towards the Mephistomon. Shielding themselves with their hands, the three Mephistomon roared in pain as the fireballs burn their skin.
"Thanks, Havoc…" trailed off Taichi as he looked on the terrifying visage of Havoc.
"Go, at least one of you must cross the gate. I'll destroy them all," said Havoc murderously, sending shivers to every being inside the room.
"You're dead… ALL OF YOU!" roared Havoc as he swooped down with every intention of dealing as much pain as possible before killing them.
"Death Cloud!" shouted two of the Mephistomon as cloud of darkness flow out of from both of their stretched hands, looming dangerously towards the charging Havoc.
"Black Sabbath!" shouted the last Mephistomon as he begins his chant of death.
"If you think that such pathetic attacks will defeat me, then guess again. MEGA ROAR!" snarled Havoc as wave of pure energy flow out of his maw, deflecting the deathly sound waves and the corrosive cloud of darkness. Roaring, Havoc coats his limbs with flames as he begins a flurry of burning punches and kicks towards the helpless Mephistomon. No matter what Mephistomon is doing, Havoc managed to overwhelm all three of them single-handedly.
"Now's the time! Guys, let's go!" said Taichi as the rest of the children run with all of their might to the gate.
"Tch! Useless fools! Go, Dokugumons and Devidramons!" shrieked Tailmon as her holy ring glows and three more Devidramon and hordes of Dokugumon is summoned.
"Damn it! They still have this much army!" said Koushiro.
"Then it's time for evolve, Veedramon!" shouted Taichi.
"You too, Birdramon!" said Sora.
"Garurumon!" called Yamato as he held his Digivice.
"Wait! If we unleash the power of more perfect level digimon, this place will collapse! We have to make do with our current forms!" said Kabuterimon as Koushiro concurred.
"Havoc is way too strong and the fact that there are three Mephistomon, each perfect level digimon, battling each other made this place way too unstable! If we add just one more, the dungeon will surely collapse and we're dead!" warned Koushiro.
"But we don't have time!" yelled Veedramon.
"Hahaha! You children will not be able to oppose Vamdemon-sama! I'll leave you here then since I'll be busy searching for the ninth child!" laughed Tailmon as the gate starts to close with the aid of Tailmon's strength.
"Damn it! Go Sora! Meteor Wing!" shouted Birdramon as numerous amount of flames shot from Birdramon's wing and land precisely on the hordes of Dokugumon.
"Crimson Nail!" snarled the Devidramons as they descent upon the distracted Birdramon.
"Fox Fire!/Harpoon Vulcan!" yelled Garurumon and Ikkakumon respectively, injuring the Devidramons.
"Magnum Punch!" roared Veedramon as he descent on a group of Dokugumon and punching them to oblivion fearlessly.
"Air Shot!" yelled Patamon to disrupt a web that was about to trap Veedramon. Grinning in thanks, Veedramon continues his attack with the knowledge that Patamon will assist him.
"Demonic Gale!" roared the three Devidramon, changing their tactics as each of their attempts to fight physically was successfully thwarted by Garurumon and Ikkakumon. Winds, strong enough and sharp enough to form shockwave and create cutting wounds, filled the room as the children panicked in trying to dodge an invisible force.
"Electric Storm!" roared Kabuterimon as he coats his body in electricity and flew in the opposite direction to negate and disrupt the path of the wind. Snarling, the Devidramon crimson eyes glow ominously upon seeing that none of their attacks managed to injure the children.
"Red Eye!" yelled the three Devidramon as each of their four eyes, totalling to twelve eyes, starts to glow with the intention of paralysing their opponents. Recognising the move, Veedramon growled and moved.
"V-Breath Arrow!" snarled Veedramon as the angle from his position allows him to hit all three Devidramon in one strike. However, the slight distraction is enough for Dokugumon to bit Veedramon as he grunted in pain.
"Fox Fire! Harpoon Vulcan!" roared Garurumon and Ikkakumon, taking advantage of the distracted Devidramons to make a clean hit. Roaring in pain, the three Devidramon dissipates to data particles as they turned to the Dokugumons.
"Meteor Wing!" shrieked Birdramon, successfully releasing the Dokugumon that bit Veedramon. Groaning, Veedramon tried his best to stand up despite the venom coursing through his veins that made him dizzy.
"Mega Blaster!" roared Kabuterimon as the huge electric ball of doom is aimed perfectly on a cluster of Dokugumon, destroying all of them in one strike.
"NOW! GO!" shouted Veedramon as the children runs once more with their distraction gone.
"Too late! The gate will soon close and we will kill the ninth child! Ahahah- ARGH!" yelled Tailmon before a stray fireball coming from Havoc hit her and the gate closes.
"Salamander Glide!" roared Havoc as he harassed the heavily injured Mephistomon again.
"Tch, it seems the gate is closed… Fine, I guess you'll have to make do," said Havoc coldly upon the unmoving figure of three Mephistomon.
"Corona Blaster!" roared Havoc as another salvo hits non-fatal areas of Mephistomon, sending them into another bout of screams.
"Not enough! You made me hurt my partner! Suffer! MEGA BURST!" roared Havoc as he took careful aim so that the intense heat will only burn Mephistomons limbs. The three Mephistomon howled in agony as the intense heat burns their limbs slowly.
"Corona Blaster!" roared Havoc once more as the abused body of the Mephistomons are ignited with the superheated fireballs. Screams reverberated the whole room which made the chosen children and their partners flinch, terrified at what Havoc has become.
"Enough Havoc!" shouted Dorugamon.
"No… They deserve it, every bit of it and more!" snarled Havoc with a crazed look.
"HARRY NEEDS YOU! HE NEEDS YOU TO TAKE CARE OF HIM INSTEAD OF WASTING YOUR TIME WITH THESE SCUMS!" roared Dorugamon angrily as Havoc looked on with wide eyes.
"Harry! Is he alright?" asked Havoc as he flew swiftly to Dorugamon.
"He… If we don't treat him right now… He might die," said Dorugamon solemnly.
"Besides, Harry gave you your next form not to torture others, but to protect. I know him, even though not as long as you, I'm sure that that's what he wants. Just, put the Mephistomon out of their misery and focus on Harry," whispered Dorugamon quietly.
"Harry, you'll be alright… I'll finish this and I'm sorry… sorry for disappointing you," said Havoc as he holds Harry's face affectionately. Standing up, Havoc turns to the whimpering figures of the Mephistomons.
"Corona Blaster!" shouted Havoc as each fireballs land perfectly on Mephistomon heads and they knew no more. Turning towards Harry, Havoc tried to examine his wounds but fail to think of something that might fix his precious partner.
"No… It's okay, you can do it Havoc… Just remember! What Harry did for you when you're injured," babbled Havoc insanely as he tried to think of something while bandaging Harry's wounds. Yet, the fact that the blood won't stop frustrates him to no end.
"We can't stay here… There are more digimon coming and if we fight and damage this place any further, it might collapse and bury us alive! Let's run!" shouted Koushiro as the other children and digimon nods in agreement. Cradling Harry gently, Havoc leads the path, flying through the narrow path and out of Vamdemon's castle.
Digital World, Server Continent, Vamdemon's Castle, Outskirts
"Looks like they no longer chase after us," said Yamato as all of the children panted in exhaustion for running for so long.
"But what now? The gate is closed and more importantly, Harry needs medical attention immediately," said Koushiro.
"Chosen children, why are you still here?" asked Gennai as his hologram appeared out of nowhere.
"The thing is…" began Taichi as he recounted the event in Vamdemon's castle to Gennai.
"I see, that's too bad," commented Gennai.
"Just saying it 'it's too bad' won't cut it! The ninth child will die if we stay here!" said Yamato angrily with Takeru riding his back.
"That's not all! If those digimon ran loose, they'll create massive chaos throughout all of Japan!" added Sora.
"SHUT UP! HARRY IS INJURED AND THAT'S ALL YOU CAN THINK OF?!" roared Havoc angrily as Harry lays unconscious in his arms.
"What happened with Harry?" asked Gennai urgently.
"Under the control of Vamdemon, Havoc, as Geogreymon, injured Harry to the brink of death. Please, Gennai-san, help Harry!" said Dorugamon quickly as Havoc flinched heavily in guilt.
"I see… Koushiro-kun, please open your laptop. I've sent you the map to my place. Havoc and Dorugamon, the both of you must stay calm and bring him to me. I'll do what I can to help him recover," ordered Gennai sternly. Nodding, Koushiro opened his laptop as Gennai's hologram disappears.
"Looks like Gennai-san's place is over- Hey, whoa!" said Koushiro as he loses his balance since Vritramon lifted him.
"Direct me! Where's Gennai's place?" asked Havoc. Gulping, Koushiro nods as the other children climbs the back of the crouching Havoc.
"It's east, where that light is shining-" began Koushiro as Havoc sped through east as quickly as possible, making the children and their digimon partners hold onto Havoc for dear life while Dorugamon tried his best to keep up with Havoc.
Digital World, Server Continent, Gennai's Residence, Lake
"What the? His house is underwater?" pointed Mimi disbelievingly as the light shined out from the lake.
"I see. So this is why I couldn't find him during those two months I searched the mountains," said Koushiro thoughtfully.
"Anyway, how do we get there?" asked Jou. Grinning, Gomamon jumped to the lake.
"I'll go take a look," said Gomamon. Just as he was about to dive, ripples formed around the light.
"I-It's not me," said Gomamon nervously as the water seems to vibrate. Suddenly, the lake parted into two, revealing a hidden staircase.
"Let's go," said Havoc sternly while glancing at the unconscious form of Harry. Nodding nervously, Dorugamon and the children with their partners followed Havoc's lead.
Digital World, Server Continent, Gennai's Residence
"Whoa… to think that there's such a place underwater," said Taichi.
"Yeah… Wait, is that Gennai-san?" asked Koushiro. As if being called, Gennai turns his head towards the children.
"I see you've made it here safely, children," said Gennai.
"I'm sorry if I come across as impolite but please, cut the crap and heal Harry!" said Havoc desperately.
"Of course, of course… come here," said Gennai as he leads Havoc to the medical wing of his mansion.
"Will he be alright?" asked Dorugamon as he looked on the place face of Harry worriedly.
"His wounds are quite severe… And here we are. Now, please let me treat Harry while the rest of you wait outside," said Gennai as he tried to take Harry from Havoc.
"I will be inside with Harry," declared Havoc sternly as he moved his arms so that Gennai won't be able to reach Harry.
"But…" began Gennai.
"WE WILL be inside with him," said Dorugamon stubbornly as Havoc spared a glance to him. Sighing, Gennai nods and directed the others to wait in the living room as he entered with Havoc and Dorugamon in each of his side.
"Now, I know that you have a lot of questions but please wait while I tend to Harry," spoke Gennai as he closes the door in front of the children face. Shrugging, the children and their partners go to the living room.
Digital World, Server Continent, Gennai's Residence, Medical Bay
"Lay him down in the bed," said Gennai. Nodding, Havoc gently laid Harry on the bed as he and Dorugamon stepped back, looking anxiously. Silence filled the room as Gennai tinkered with several hi-tech gadgets while examining Harry's wounds. Frowning deeply, Gennai took several bottles filled with various coloured liquid and begin tending Harry's wound.
"How is he, Gennai-san?" asked Dorugamon.
"He's bleeding severely and for some reason, the blood refuses to coagulate, allowing the bleeding to be much worse. As a result, aside from huge amount of broken and cracked bones, he has lost quite an amount of blood," said Gennai as sweat drops from his forehead while he treats Harry. Gulping, the two digimon stood still and watched as Gennai inject a pale yellow liquid directly to Harry's wounds.
"I've just injected a drug to induce coagulation. But it seems something dark is thwarting the effects of the drug. For some reason, the traces of the dark energy matched yours, Havoc. Could you extract some of it and placed it in this container? I'll reverse engineer the energy and form an antibody from it," said Gennai as he injects more liquid to Harry's veins and attached an IV filled with liquid metal.
"But he will be alright, right?" asked Havoc as he forces some of the dark power he got from Vamdemon to the aforementioned container.
"I've gave him a drug to kick start the production of his blood and a supply of iron with proteins. He should be fine for a while," said Gennai as he took the container from Havoc and moved to a futuristic looking contraption. Inserting the small tube to a slot, the machine whirred to life as it begins spinning.
"Now, we simply need to wait for the machine to finish and we can treat Harry's coagulation problem. For now, we will have to tend to his broken ribs and back bone," said Gennai.
"How can we help?" asked Havoc.
"Bring me that monitor over there," pointed Gennai as he moved to Harry. Injecting a certain drug, Harry's face started to lose its tension. Havoc returned shortly to Gennai, bringing the monitor. Nodding, Gennai place the monitor right above Harry's front body as the broken rib cage becomes visible.
"I've just injected anaesthetic to prevent him from feeling pain. We will need to break some of his bones to let it set the right way and I will need your help so that it can broke cleanly," said Gennai as the other two looked on in alarm.
"Don't worry, just follow my instructions to the letter," said Gennai upon seeing Havoc and Dorugamon gulping nervously.
"First, we need to break this…
Two Hours Later
"And I guess that's it. But still, what kind of regenerative abilities does he have? The number of bones that needs to be broke is way too much, proof that his body has healed naturally," said Gennai as he moved to the previous contraptions.
"Anyway, looks like the machine is done. I just need to inject this and his coagulation problem should be cured," said Gennai as he injects the antibody. Looking on anxiously, Havoc and Dorugamon watched in relief as the flowing blood starts to flow more slowly before stopping altogether.
"All we need to do is to stitch the wounds and bandaged it to prevent contaminations," said Gennai as his nimble fingers quickly stitched the wounds. Turning to Havoc and Dorugamon, Gennai watched as they carefully bandaged Harry's wounds.
"Judging by his amazing regeneration, he should return to us soon. I'll be attending to the children now. I assume the both of you want to stay here?" asked Gennai.
"Yeah, I want to be with him when he wakes up," said Havoc as Dorugamon nods in agreement.
"Fine, I'll send some foods here later," said Gennai.
"Thank you, Gennai-san for your help," spoke Dorugamon gratefully as Gennai waved his thanks.
"Just let him rest his body and to not put further stress to it," said Gennai as he left the medical bay.
"Harry…" whispered Havoc quietly while holding his hands.
"Don't worry Havoc, he'll wake up soon. Harry is strong after all," said Dorugamon as he placed a hand in Havoc's crouching form. Nodding gratefully, Havoc watched on while wallowing in guilt.
Several Hours Later
"Ugh… Where am I?" whispered Harry suddenly as he squints as shield his eyes from the light.
"Are you alright?/You're awake!" spoke Dorugamon and Havoc simultaneously.
"Dorugamon… Havoc… What happened? I was in Vamdemon's castle and in your grip and then suddenly, there's golden light and now… I'm here," asked Harry as he tried to sit up.
"Harry, don't force yourself. Just lay down, alright?" said Havoc as he manoeuvre Harry back to bed.
"But what happened? Where am I?" asked Harry.
"You're in Gennai's place and what happens in Vamdemon's castle is…" spoke Dorugamon as both he and Havoc took turns in recounting the events happened so far.
"I see… so that's what happened…" murmured Harry thoughtfully.
"Harry… please forgive me, I didn't meant to hurt you. I- please don't hate me for betraying you like that," said Havoc as he babbled more incoherent words. Sighing exasperatedly, Harry placed his hands on Havoc's snout.
"You returned… That's more than enough for me," smiled Harry.
"But I…" began Havoc.
"You need not seek forgiveness. Though it is by your hands that I got injured, it's Vamdemon that made you do so. And if it meant so much to you then fine, I forgive you," cut Harry as he rubs Havoc snout affectionately. Sending a grateful look to Harry, Havoc reflexively growled in pleasure.
"And you too Dorugamon… You endured Havoc's attack… It must have hurt," said Harry as he pats Dorugoramon affectionately.
"It's fine… It's healed anyway, Gennai treated it," spoke Dorugoramon shyly. Suddenly, the door to the medical bay is opened and Gennai entered.
"Looks like you've woken up," spoke Gennai as he took a nearby seat.
"Where are the other children, Gennai?" asked Harry.
"They're sleeping. They wanted to visit you but they must rest to recover their strength," answered Gennai as he told Harry about the conversation with the other children.
"I see… 'Saviours of the world' huh? Sorry, worlds, not world," spoke Harry.
"Yes. And to open that gate, you must use the cards but…" said Gennai.
"Cut the crap, old man. I'm grateful that you've healed me old man but honestly, do you think I believe that idiotic logic?" asked Harry while raising one of his eyebrow. Grinning abashedly, Gennai rubs his head in embarrassment.
"What gave it away?" asked Gennai.
"Your knowledge on the castle is way too detailed. As though you've been there before and there is no way you have those cards and seen the gate itself without researching about the gate. But if you have access to the gate while knowing Vamdemon's objective, you should have chosen to destroy the gate instead," said Harry derisively as Gennai tried to open his mouth.
"And shut up if you want to say something about allowing us back home. We're here, transported to Digital World without the use of the gate but rather, the Digivice. In other words, there are other ways to return to our home. But you didn't destroy the gate. Why? It's because you can't. Why can't you destroy the gate then?" explained Harry.
"It's because you no longer have access to it anymore. So, that place was once your residence but for some reason, you're driven out of it right?" finished Harry while looking expectantly to the grinning Gennai.
"Bravo! But you're mistaken in one thing. That place has never been my residence, just a place where I worked before," said Gennai as he claps his hands.
"What a sick twisted sense of humour…" sneered Harry.
"Ah… but this way, it'll be more interesting right? It won't matter on the result anyway whether they used Agumon or Gomamon's card," chuckled Gennai.
"Sick bastard," growled Havoc as Dorugamon glared at the chuckling old man.
"Hahaha… So, what do you want to ask? I'm sure you have some questions right? I swear I'll answer it truthfully if I can," offered Gennai.
"Fine… If I'm right, Vamdemon is not the one we must defeat to save the world, right?" asked Harry.
"Phew… You certainly are full of surprises," complimented Gennai.
"It's pretty simple, really. Vamdemon requires that gate to cross between the worlds. Yet the fact that things from Digital World affect Earth already contradicts that fact. That gate requires an enormous amount of power to operate and it's impossible to open it for that long. In other words, the real enemy have some sort of method, a much more efficient one than the gate, to connect our worlds and cause the distortions," explained Harry.
"Well, you're right. The reason why I haven't told any of the children this fact is that it will cause them unnecessary burden. But since you already knew, I'll tell you," said Gennai.
"Your real enemy call himself as the dark master. He has been gathering force while biding for his time. His name is Piemon," revealed Gennai.
"I see… That's quite troubling, to think that someone much stronger than Vamdemon is gathering forces," said Harry as his face took on a thoughtful look.
"Are there any more questions?" asked Gennai.
"…What exactly is Digital World?" asked Harry.
"What do you mean? I thought you knew that Digital World is the world of network of Earth?" asked Gennai.
"It's too advanced. The network of Earth is not so advance as to create something like an artificial intelligence, let alone emotions. Besides, each digimon have its own souls, something that is clearly impossible for a simple technology. So tell me, what exactly is Digital World and what is its connection to Earth?" asked Harry.
"…I see, so you even noticed something like that," commented Gennai.
"So, tell me. What exactly is Digital World?" asked Harry impatiently.
"I don't have the clearance to answer that. All I can tell you is that Digital World is an alternate universe and that Earth has simply tap into an extremely small portion of it. From that connection, Digital World gathers data from Earth and used it as a base to modify itself," answered Gennai.
"'I don't have the clearance to answer that'? Does that mean that there's someone above you?" asked Harry.
"Yup! If that is all, then you should rest for now. Tomorrow, all of you must go to Digital World and go after Vamdemon," said Gennai as he stand up and move to leave the room.
"One more thing, Gennai. There's a very high possibility that we will be gone for a long time, depending on Vamdemon. I'm sure that Piemon will capitalise on our absence. Piccolomon-sensei right now is building an army and there are Andromon and Leomon from File Island. It will be good for you to form some kind of organisation with them to prepare for this Piemon," advised Harry. Nodding, Gennai say his goodnights as he left the room.
"Harry, I'll go with Gennai-san. I think I will be more useful if I stay here in Digital World," spoke Dorugamon.
"You are sure?" asked Harry.
"I am. Your Digivice might have helped me reach evolution, but your partner is Havoc, not me. So, only Havoc can return to their prior forms. With my kind of appearance, I'm pretty sure that I will cause chaos," said Dorugamon.
"Doru-chan…" said Havoc sadly.
"It's 'Dorugamon'," said Dorugamon exasperatedly. "Besides, you guys will return right? I'll just wait for you two until then,"
"Alright. You should rendezvous with Piccolomon-sensei with Gennai. Please protect Digital World while we're not here," asked Harry as he smiled at Dorugamon.
"I will. I'll protect Digital World," said Dorugamon as he followed Gennai and left the medical bay.
With Harry and Havoc
"Aibou… Will you be alright?" asked Havoc.
"My back is still a bit painful, but it will be as good as new tomorrow," said Harry. "What's wrong, Havoc?" asked Harry, worried from the downcast expression of Havoc.
"It's just, if I'm not so weak as to be controlled by Vamdemon, we would have been in your world now," replied Havoc.
"I don't think so," whispered Harry quietly. Seeing the confused expression of his partner, Harry tried to explain.
"The preparations for that gate are perfect. I do not doubt that with or without you, he will be able to prevent us from crossing the gate either way. I'm certain that he's strong enough to do that," said Harry.
"But still, I'm sorry. After all that talk of protecting you, I'm the one who-" began Havoc before Harry's hand clamp Havoc's babbling mouth shut.
"Vamdemon is the one at fault. Besides, you are strong enough to kill me by crushing my body in your grip. Yet, you didn't and choose to talk to me instead. That is the most concrete evidence that my trust is not misplaced," said Harry as he tried to calm Havoc by rubbing Havoc's snout. Growling comfortably, Havoc leaned further to Harry's hands.
"I have complete and utter believe in you. Even while controlled, you choose not to kill me and that's what matters to me," finished Harry sincerely, bringing tears to Havoc's eyes.
"You're too kind, aibou. But kindness may not be enough next time," said Havoc.
"But it brought you back to me from Vamdemon's control," grinned Harry cheekily.
"Yeah… it did. That's why; I'll be your sword, your strength. Kindness alone won't be enough which is why, I will be your strength so that your kindness will never be abused," said Havoc as he finally gave in to the urge to grin.
"That's better. You're not supposed to keep on frowning. Besides, your incarceration allows me to activate my crest. You also have a more potent sample of that dark energy. I'll send both powers to Piccolomon-sensei along with the antibody that Gennai created," smiled Harry as the scroll appears with white smoke.
"Ok, here's the scroll," said Havoc as he moved to unfurl the scroll right in front of Harry.
"Here goes," said Harry as he sat up in bed. Holding the crest, Harry focused on the feelings of benevolence back in Vamdemon's castle to the crest. Seeing that the crest starts to glow, Harry extracted the power and placed it a conjured vial. Havoc returned to Harry, bringing a sample of the antidote as well as a sample of Vamdemon's dark energy.
Writing a note, Harry places the items to the center of the scroll and focuses his magic to activate the scroll. Seeing that the items have been transported, Harry laid back down to his bed to rest. Havoc, in the meanwhile, rolled the scroll back and hand it back to Harry who sealed it back to one of his storage tattoo.
"Harry, can I sleep with you?" asked Havoc quietly. Chuckling, Harry nodded as he moved to make some space for Havoc. Grinning widely, Havoc climbs to the bed and hugged Harry with his hands.
"You're getting bigger again, Havoc," commented Harry as he tried to hug Havoc's huge arm.
"I am PERFECT level, just so you know," said Havoc, pleased with himself. Chuckling, Harry and Havoc exchanged their goodnights and went to sleep.
As the night passed on in silence, all four of them never realised that a certain redhead with a laptop on his hands heard their entire conversation with a paling face from hearing the true situation.
Next Morning, Digital World, Server Continent, Gennai's Residence, Lake
"Thank you Gennai for healing me," bowed Harry in gratitude as Havoc followed Harry and bowed to Gennai.
"It's fine~~ Just go to Vamdemon's castle and go to Earth using those cards and save the worlds," said Gennai cheerfully.
"Arigatou, Gennai-Ojiisan," said Takeru as the children with their partners departed for Vamdemon's castle.
"Will you be okay for not going with them?" asked Gennai to the sulking Dorugamon.
"Yeah, it's okay. It's better this way and I'll be more helpful if I stay here. Besides, he will return with Havoc and the other children. I'll wait for all of them until then," said Dorugamon as Gennai chuckled and the parted waters returned to normal.
Digital World, Server Continent, Vamdemon's castle
"We're here again~~" whined Mimi.
"It seems quiet," observed Sora.
"I think we should observe the situation first," advised Yamato.
"No, Vamdemon already had a head start of one day. It will be better if we act as fast as possible," objected Harry.
"Yeah! Vamdemon might get to the ninth child first," agreed Takeru.
"Alright! Let's go!" yelled Taichi as the others nod and enter the castle, his thought filled with the possibility that his sister might be in danger.
"According to the map, we have to go this way," pointed Koushiro as Harry nods in agreement, looking at his own map.
"We got company!" warned Havoc as he moved to his fighting stance.
"Then we'll go first, we still have to arrange the cards the right way. When you're finished with them, come to that room," ordered Harry as Havoc nods and block the advance of the hordes of Devidramons and Dokugumons.
"Harry, are you sure? That's quite a lot of digimon you know?" asked Takeru as he ran beside the other children.
"Havoc won't lose, not to those digimon," replied Harry with certainty. Arriving at said room, the children approached the stone pedestal.
"What's this? One star, two star and three star. And there's a picture of lion, a Sagittarius and a monkey?" said Sora uncertainly.
'This is!' thought Harry as he started decoding the weird symbols.
"What about this? The good guys, the bad guys and the dirty guys," offered Taichi.
"Are you sure? I think it made more sense if they are arranged in small, normal and big size," countered Jou.
"Let me try. How's this? Weak, so-so and strong," said Yamato as Harry looked on curiously.
'Weak… Child level, so-so… Adult level and strong… perfect level! The picture of animals and the background colours of the cards mean their types!' thought Harry as all the puzzles fall into place. Koushiro looked on Harry's satisfied facial expression suspiciously.
"But we still don't know which card is the wrong one," said Mimi.
"It must be where they live!" said Sora. "Like land or sea."
"Maybe it's the number of syllables in their name," said Takeru as he counted each syllables written in the card.
"Harry, you know something?" asked Koushiro.
"Yeah. The stars represented their level of growth like child level, adult level or perfect level. The picture symbolises the type of digimon. The lion means Leomon, symbolising vaccine type. The Sagittarius represented Kentarumon, symbolising data type. And the last is Etemon, symbolising virus type," said Harry as he reached for the cards.
"The red colours here represented vaccine type. The green ones are data type while the black ones are virus type. Arranging the cards according to that rule, we got this," said Harry as the cards are neatly arranged with two child level digimon in the vaccine column.
"Wow! That makes sense!" complimented Mimi. Suddenly, the whole room vibrated as Havoc enters the room.
"The room is crumbling!" said Sora.
"How's the puzzle?" asked Havoc.
"It's solved except for the wrong card," said Yamato. Hearing that response, Harry and Havoc focused an enormous amount of willpower to fight off the laugh that threatens to spill out. Koushiro, meanwhile, tried to wipe the forming grin on his face.
"I think it's better for Taichi to choose which card to be placed in the slot," offered Koushiro while biting the inside of his cheek to force down his laugh.
"I agree. You're the one who forms this team back when we are separated," said Sora as the other children nods in agreement.
"Just be quick about it or else the room might collapse," said Havoc nonchalantly as Harry swears mentally that he bit his cheek hard enough to draw blood. Nodding, Taichi flip the two cards in question face down.
"I choose this card!" said Taichi as he picked Gomamon's card. Placing the card in the pedestal, the gate started to open and hordes of Dokugumons finally arrived.
"Tch! Guys! Evolve all of your digimon to perfect level and use all of your strongest attacks!" ordered Harry. Nodding, each children except for Takeru brought out their DIgivice.
"Veemon shinka… Veedramon, Veedramon chou-shinka… Aeroveedramon!"
"Piyomon shinka… Birdramon, Birdramon chou-shinka… Garudamon!"
"Gabumon shinka… Garurumon, Garurumon chou-shinka… Weregarurumon!"
"Tentomon shinka… Kabuterimon, Kabuterimon chou-shinka… Atlurkabuterimon!"
"Gomamon shinka… Ikkakumon!"
"Palmon shinka… Togemon!"
"RUN TO THE GATE NOW!" roared Havoc as his Rudriya Darpana pointed towards the enemies.
"Corona Blaster!"
"V-Wing Blade!"
"Shadow Wing!"
"Kaiser Nail!"
"Horn Buster!"
"Harpoon Vulcan!"
"Chiku-Chiku Bang Bang!"
"Air Shot!" roared all of the eight digimon. Merging into one, the attacks cause great explosion as the children with their partners enter the gate. White light filled their vision and they knew no more.
Odaiba 1 August 1988, Day 4, Camping Ground
"Ugh… Where am I?" said Harry as he stands up. Looking at the unconscious form of the other children, Harry woke them up as they groggily stand up.
"Where are we?" asked Taichi.
"I think… I think we're back!" shouted Yamato excitement. Hearing that, the other children cheered for finally coming home to their world.
"But wait, where are our partners?!" yelled Sora.
"Don't tell me that they went somewhere else," said Yamato as dread filled his gut.
"HELLO!" shouted several voices behind them.
"You guys are here!" yelled Taichi as each child ran to their respective partners.
"Un! We go inside the gate with you right?" said Demiveemon.
"But where were you?" asked Jou.
"We're searching for foods, of course," said Gomamon. Looking at each other, the children laughed out loud as the digimon looked at each other confusedly.
"We're back in Japan. There's no need for you to search for foods," said Taichi.
"Yeah! You guys will be able to eat all sorts of delicious foods!" said Takeru as he rubbed Patamon affectionately.
"Thank God you choose correctly Taichi. I rather not be half human and half digimon," said Mimi as the others, except for Koushiro, Havoc and Harry, looked relieved. Looking at the situation and the relieved faces of the other children, Harry and Havoc starts laughing loudly, attracting the attention of the other children.
"What's so funny?" asked Taichi, grinning as he carried Demiveemon.
"No, it's Gennai's prank. It worked beautifully. Actually, it won't matter whether you choose Gomamon or Agumon's card. It will still bring us back here on Earth," laughed out Harry as Havoc laughed uproariously. Looking at the scandalised expression of the other children, Koushiro joined Harry and Havoc, laughing loudly.
"Wait, you knew too Koushiro!" accused Taichi.
"Yeah, when Harry asks about the cards to Gennai, I overheard their conversation," said Koushiro amidst the chuckling. 'Amongst other things, that is'
Flashback begins
"Umm, Harry? Havoc? I, I just want to say that I overheard your conversation with Gennai," admitted Koushiro. Eyes widened, Harry and Havoc looked at Koushiro.
"And? Which part do you heard?" asked Harry carefully.
"All of it? Including that part about Piemon," said Koushiro as Harry cursed himself mentally for not being vigilant.
"Will you reveal it to the other children?" asked Havoc.
"I don't know, what do you think I should do?" asked a frustrated Koushiro.
"It will be better if you say nothing to them. That way, the others can concentrate on defeating Vamdemon as it will be dangerous if their minds got distracted in the middle of battle," said Harry.
"And what about the cards and Gennai-san's prank?" asked Koushiro.
"I think we should just play along~~" said Havoc mischievously. Looking at Harry's mischievous eyes, Koushiro started grinning as well.
"I wonder what their reaction will be when they knew~~" sighed Havoc as both Harry and Koushiro laughed at the imagination.
Flashback ends
"I can't believe you three!" admonished Sora despite the twitching mouth as the other digimon complained at the trio.
"What's important is that we arrived here safely right?" choked out Harry.
"AS IF!" yelled all of the children and the digimon which made the trio laughed even harder. Once the laughing fit is over, all eight children with their partners made the trek back to the main camp. Hearing the shout of Fujiyama-sensei made Harry's face pale.
"Damn it! Havoc! You're still a Vritramon!" yelled Harry as both he and Havoc panicked at the incoming teacher. Fumbling for his Digivice, Harry quickly points it at Havoc which glowed briefly before rapidly decreasing in size. Grabbing the now Koromon, Harry watched at the approaching figure of Fujiyama-sensei.
"Guys, please don't move and talk! It's not normal and will arouse suspicion," said Harry quickly to the digimon. Nodding frantically, the children and the digimon faces the teacher, looking on innocently.
"WHERE WERE ALL OF YOU! DIDN'T YOU HEAR THE ORDER TO PACK AN HOUR AGO SINCE WE WERE ABOUT TO GO?!" roared Fujiyama-sensei as all children flinched from the loud voice.
"B-But…w-we… UWAAA!" 'cried' Takeru as Yamato 'shield' Takeru from Fujiyama-sensei.
"We… got lost at the mountain. Please forgive us," said Harry 'guiltily'. Looking guiltily at the children, especially at the crying Takeru, Fujiyama-sensei rubs the back of his head nervously.
"O-okay, I'm sorry. Now that you know, could you please pack now? We will be leaving shortly," said Fujiyama-sensei. Replying cheerfully, the children made a hi-five to each other as they walk back to the bus.
"By the way, what's with those dolls?" asked Fujiyama-sensei curiously.
"U-um… This is…" began Sora nervously.
"This is?" prodded Fujiyama-sensei.
"W-we found these dolls thrown away somewhere back in the mountains. We thought that they are cute enough so I want to give these to my sister, Hikari. She can't come because of her sickness," said Taichi nervously as the others nod vigorously. Shrugging, Fujiyama-sensei left the children as they breathe a heavy sigh of relief.
"I can't handle it if we're going to go through every time we met another person," said Mimi as she place a hand on her heart.
"You said it," agreed Harry as Havoc chuckled.
'Wait a minute, 'an hour ago'?! Of course! The time distortion, I can't believe I forgot about it! SHIT! Piemon will get a huge advantage!' thought Harry as his arms tensed. Havoc, as Koromon, felt Harry's tensing arms.
"What is it, aibou?" asked Havoc. Replying with a 'later', the children arrived at the bus stop.
"Welcome to Japan!" said Sora cheerfully as all of the children and their partners smiled brightly.
'Oh well, I guess we should just deal with this situation one at a time,' thought Harry as he smiled, looking forward at the time to show Earth to Havoc.
