Tamotsu walked over to the couch and began to shake Kagome. It took a while until she jolted awake blinking sleepily with confusion, before squeezing her eyes shut and trying to burrow further into the covers.
"No, c'mon. We're going on that walk I said we'd go on." he chastised ripping the blanket away making her whine and curl up. Sighing he scooped her up in his arms tossing her over his shoulder, this seemed to wake her up a little more.
"I'm not two you don't need to carry me," she rasped out wiggling around attempting to free. She stopped when the arm closed more securely around her middle. She stared at the passing floor below them recognizing the carpet. "Why are we headed to my room, I thought we were going for a walk."
"We are, with our guests and your mother wants you to be dressed up for it." he said casually, before frowning as Kagome started to shout profanity and thrashing more violently. He placed her on her feet harshly grabbing her upper arm, promptly jabbing her below her ribs, her arguments stop and making her breathing shallow and labored. "Stop acting like a child," he chastised "Get dressed, you have one hour." he said shoving her into her room closing the door behind him.
Kagome stood there for a moment the overbearing sense of betrayal taking hold. She glared at the door as shock morphed into anger. Picking up the nearest thing which happened to be a vase, she tossed it at the wall with a dissatisfying crash. She went about her mildly modest yet lavish bedroom, throwing every vase in sight, soon her floor was an ocean of broken glass. She turned her gaze to the green dress that lay innocently on the bed, turning the blame, she summoned a knife slashing the delicate silk into ribbons. The definably sat on the bed, with a huff arms crossed. And a couple minutes ticked by before she fell back on the bed asleep.
Tamotsu came in not even twenty minutes after shutting her in her room. He winced as glass pierced his slipper, he looked around the room bewildered at the glass shards that mosaiced the floor covered occasionally by green ribbons and tatters. His finally trailed to the sleeping tornado. As he walked further in he repaired the vases as he went, before stopping short of the dress Ku Loon had placed out, his face scrunched at the color, it wasn't as putrid as the last dress she had gotten Kagome but it was still kinda bad, too frilly for his taste. He shook his head to get his head right. He grabbed the leg hanging over the bed, tugging, resulting in her colliding with the floor. She looked up at him groggily, wincing back slightly at the anger that was simmering, she hung her head in shame.
No words exchanged as Tamotsu repaired the dress handing it to her. She took it scrambling up, she bowed slightly before walking into her adjacent bathroom. She emerged moments later, the dress looked alright, fitted light green bodice, low hanging straps, with a waistband that was a darker shade of green, before flowing out same color as the bodice. He gestured over to her slightly dusty vanity holding a brush. Their exchange was still nonverbal as he brushed her hair before sweeping the sides back held in place by a comb with white lilies lining it.
"I refuse to wear slippers," she spouted before rushing out of room with a spring in her step, he shook his head in amusement, before realizing that they were running late and followed after. He caught up and they walked once again in silence. Kagome smiled at the flustered Ku Loon, who was beginning to sweat in the presence of the pureblood elites. Then she had to stifle a full hearty laugh at how she and Draco matched, drawing his attention immediately.
"Looking delightful, Kagome." He purred.
"Wish I could say the same for you, my frog prince." she said circling him with a smile. Instead of feeling in anyway insulted, Draco's smile widened.
"I am most flattered, my princess." he teased back.
"It's pleasant to see you clean up well," Voldemort said with a slight sneer at her gratuitous flirting.
"Thank you father." she bowed her head slightly, "Where are we headed?"
Ku Loon sweeped in beside them with a forced smile, "We are headed to Tadasu no Mori." Turning her back in time to see her father and daughter exchange looks of concern.
"Ku Loon are you sure, when you said picnic I had assumed somewhere on the property. Not," he paused for a moment to find the right words.
" A forest filled with hostile demons." Kagome piped in.
"Nonsense," she insisted, "That forest is as safe as any."
"For all who want to die," Kagome sang while sweeping through the room to the floo system. "I'll go first to check for any ushi-oni. Takahashi cabin" She stuck her tongue out as she was consumed by green flames.
"She's kidding right?" Narcissa asked with some hesitancy to step through the floo.
"Of course she's just spinning tales, she's still so childish." Ku Loon reassured with some hesitancy.
When they stepped through they were in a homey cottage. Sparsely furnished but had the odor of old cat dander. And a note attached to the only counter it simply said, 'Out'.
Draco watched as Kagome was prancing through the fields of flowers, laughing to herself. No regard as to who may be observing her. And he imagined for just a second that he could be with her.. He wished he could actually get to know his wife-to-be, but she wouldn't let him. Unlike the other possible girls, he actually loved the possibility of earning her trust. He would not let anyone aside from his own thoughts, know about that. So, he just continued to steal glances at her.
Kagome stopped skipping when she noticed that everyone had walked passed reveling in their thinly disgusted looks except her grandpa who would have joined if he could and Draco who was just standing there still near the cabin, he looked dazed.
"Hey, frog, you coming or not," she called out. Getting no response she trudged over grabbing his arm to tug him along. She paused to look back at him, he still looked out of it but had a weird smile on his face. So she did the only thing the thought would work. She slapped him.
"Ouch, what the- oh, I was in a daze." Draco muttered to himself, "Thank you, Kagome." He nodded to her in acknowledgement.
"No problem," she said walking ahead, "C'mon we're getting left behind. I'd rather not be alone with you more than necessary."
"And I'd rather be alone with you for a century." He said, feeling cheesy.
"Why condemn me to that hell?" she teased back, a bit uncomfortable with his statement.
"Because it's my heaven," He stated wistfully, internally chuckling at her uncomfortable expression.
"Stop." she said suddenly glaring at him.
He pouted, "In the name of love?" Cringing at his comeback.
"No stop in the name of my sanity, stop acting strange it's making me uncomfortable." she shoved him away when he swayed into her personal space.
"I'm not acting strange, I'm acting as would any other day. Except in a more candid fashion and less manipulative." He explained simply.
"Whatever you say Mr. I-Touch-Everything." she scoffed, before rushing forward climbing up one of the nearby trees to walk along the branches.
"I don't touch everything, imagine the look on your father's face." He grimaced at the thought. He'd never willingly touch Voldemort. He looked up at the girl in the trees.
"You'd be dead for even thinking it and I would laugh." she said with a skip in her step, gracefully weaving through the trees.
"You're like a squirrel, just as graceful, too." Draco added breathlessly, more to himself than anything.'
"I can hear you when you mumble and did you just insinuate." she paused shaking her head with a laugh, "Never-mind."
"What was that dear?"
Kagome paused on a branch to lean against the trunk with a hearty, jovial chortle. "Nothing, my mind went somewhere dark." she gasped trying and failing at walking, falling out of the tree. She laid on top of the overgrown roots, still laughing, with little regard for her ripped dresses, messy hair, and her back that was bent at an unnatural angle.
"I love it when it goes dark, and are you alright?" He walked over to her and sent her an amused look.
"I'm good, it feels kinda good to lay like this" she said extending her hand, "Help me up?" He complied grasping her hand.
"Anything for the damsel in distress, well, at the moment. You're hardly ever in distress, in need of a prince on a white dragon." Draco mumbled.
She blanched again, laughing losing her grip on his hand colliding with the ground. "Sorry, I can't" she had tears brimming her eyes, gasping. "My humor will be the end of me," she said breathless, taking his hand again. "My ribs." she sighed leaning on him for a moment, before realizing, "Sorry" she said pushing away to walk ahead.
"Quite alright, and I think I'm beginning to appreciate your humor." He smiles to himself.
"My humor is a bit too perverted, just think over what you've been saying." she said coyly smiling at him over her shoulder.
"The naive, innocent Kagome who's never experienced anything sexual aside from my groping has been corrupted ." Draco smirked, well aware of his innuendos, he always was.
"Well you don't need the real thing," she walked up to him trailing her finger down his chest, stopping at his navel, "When you have books," she said bringing back up to flick his nose before turning on her heel stepping away to observe his reaction.
He smiled, biting his lip and just looked at her, impressed and enthralled. He just followed behind just watching. Her airy steps, confident posture that was a tad bit rigid, and a sword gripped in her hands...what? He observed as her dress dissolved into the single piece garment she had worn in her fight with her mentor. He tripped over a root branch as she pushed him behind her, eyes focused on the dense trees around them.
He gasped as he saw a grotesque creature that looked much like a deformed monkey, its back was rigid as it hunched over crawling across the ground. It's arms and legs bent towards themselves. He looked to Kagome a bit frightful.
Kagome sighed relaxing out her stance, her sword dispersed as she walked over in a slow stride to the crawling creature. She clicked her teeth before bringing her foot down on it's head with a crack. It gave a low whine, but it died when she pressed more firmly caving the skull in.
"That was disappointing," she said inspecting her foot for any brain matter. "Well I guess we should go," her armor disappeared, causing her to yelp in realization and cover her chest. "God damnit Ku-Loon." she glared at the tatters of the magic ruined dress.
"Of course she forgot," she ranted to herself. "I swear the simplest tasks, just go over her head," she steamed. She fruitlessly kicked the dead yokai, cursing more as she did so.
The fear from before disappeared rather quickly, Draco instead smirked devilishly. His perversion knowing no bounds, he knew. He crossed his arms and enjoyed the view, drinking in the great expanses of skin that were now visible to him. It was almost too surreal much seeing the girl this way, in nothing but tatters, which she was now ripping off in her rage leaving her in underwear.
As much as he would love more than anything to just sit there and gaze at her. Still, he took his jacket off and handed it to her. What would his mother say if she saw him not being a gentlemen. Plus he didn't want to anger her anymore than she already was.
She took the jacket exasperated. "Thank you," she was about to slip it on but saw him staring, "Could you?" she asked making a circular motion with her finger.
He pouted but again, ever the gentleman, he turned around.
"You can turn around," she said with a small voice, her face aflame. She was swimming in the damn thing what would end shortly after his hips for him were almost to her knees, and her front was barely covered but it'd have to do.
He smiled, more amused than aroused.
"Get that look off your face," she growled tapping her foot impatiently, "We have somewhere to go, c'mon." she turned on her heel in a huff walking away.
"Yes ma'am, my ever pugnacious squirrel." He teased. He would add to that comment, but decided he better be just fine with watching her leave and following.
There you go. Review and Follow. Love ya~
I just realized my later chapter don't need as much editing because I got really critical of every little aspect, I should have from the start but what can you do? One more to edit before a new chapter.
