AN: I'm back after a 3 year absence. I did have this story complete but it got completely corrupted and I sort lost the will to live but I'm back and the story is complete so I be updating once a week for the next 9 weeks and I have also updated and tweaked the previous 10 chapters. Chapter 11

Raptors And Friends

Matt sighed as he placed the file he was reading down. It was Connor's diagnostic on the ADD it didn't add up in the slightest. Connor couldn't find anything that could explain why Becca's COMMs had gone down. No Viruses or glitches. Matt sighed as he stood up before walking out the lab and heading down the corridor before stopping outside Becca's lab opposite Connor's where everyone else was waiting for him as he had called a team meeting, Lester had pulled her from the field for a couple days and she had stayed basically in her lab the only people she had spoke to were Abby, Emily and Becker and that was begrudgingly. Matt sighed as he noticed the door slightly open as he walked in he spotted Becca sitting on the chair at the desk flicking through one of the many diary's on her desk.

"Hey" Matt smiled making Becca look up who smiled at him before turning back to the pad she was writing in to finish what she was writing before looking back up at him.

"Hi, is everything ok?" Becca asked looking up at the team leader.

"Yea, I was just checking on you" Matt smiled as Becca nodded before looking back at up at him.

"Connor told Abby he found nothing on the ADD" Becca whispered before looking back up at Matt.

"No he didn't but we are still looking into things" Matt sighed as he walked over and rested his weight against the desk making her look back at up at him before looking back at the pad she was writing in. "Your back in the field today, you going to be ok with that?" Matt asked as Becca nodded silently.

"I will be fine" Becca whispered before smiling up at Matt. "I don't think Abby, Becker or Emily will let me out their sights" Becca smiled as Matt laughed before nudging her arm.

"You forgot me and Connor" Matt smiled making Becca laugh. "We have your back remember that" Matt smiled before he stood back up. "Come on I want a meeting with the team in Connor's lab" Matt smiled holding his hand out to pull Becca up. "Plus if you stare at Helen's crazy any longer I will start to worry about your sanity" Matt smiled making Becca laugh as she let Matt pull her up before they both left the lab and headed over to Connor's as Matt led them through the door Becca laughed as Abby pulled her over and sandwiched her between herself and Emily much to Connor's and Becker's amusement. "Ok" Matt laughed as he walked over and stood next to Connor and Becker before shaking his head at Abby as she stuck her tongue out at him.

"So why we having this meeting?" Connor asked looking over at Matt who sighed and leant back against the side behind him.

"I just wanted everyone on the same page" Matt sighed looking at Becca before fixing his eyes on everyone else. "Things have been really tense the last few days so we are going to clear the air" Matt stated before looking at Becca who was leaning against Emily. "Connor's diagnostic came up empty we don't know how we lost contact so from this point forward we don't go out without our mobiles with us. That way we have a secondary contact backup. This isn't closed we are still making inquiry's and they wont stop until we find out what happened" Matt stated as Becca looked around the room before frowning.

"I would of thought Jess and Mathew would be here as well" Becca stated as she looked at Matt who was frowning.

"Jess and Mathew... I hope to god I'm wrong but I think they know something they are not telling us" Matt sighed as Becca frowned looking at him before looking at the others to see them looking down.

"Your joking right?" Becca whispered looking at Matt. "I know Jess doesn't like me but seriously... You actually think she tried to hurt me?" Becca asked before shaking her head.

"We don't know all we know is she gets jumpy when asked about what happened and then Mathew defends her" Matt sighed as tears appeared in Becca's eyes.

"I'm sorry are you trying to tell me that not only do I have Helen to worry about but now I have a field coordinator trying to kill me" Becca whispered as Emily rubbed her arm.

"We don't know Becca" Matt sighed before shaking his head. "But there is one thing I can insure you Jess wont be alone at the ADD until this is all cleared up. Wesley is one of the techs in the research department he will be at the ADD at all times during an operation, I hope I am wrong about Jess but until any proof to confirm or disprove she was involved is found I'm not taking any chances. Mathew will not be out of sight of a member of our security team either until we have proof of his part in this" Matt stated looking at everyone before looking back at Becca. "We are not taking any chances until this is all sorted" Matt sighed as the others all nodded as Abby squeezed Becca's hand as Emily squeezed her arm.

Jess sighed as she rested her head against the corridor outside Connor's lab as tears appeared in her eyes. Her life was falling apart and she knew it was all her own fault. They didn't trust her any more and because Mathew had tried to help her he was getting their mistrust as well, Jess quickly stood up and walked away as she heard people starting to move around in Connor's lab. As Jess sat back down at her chair she sighed as she looked at the screens in front of her. She didn't know how to regain their trust but she knew to start that she would have to come clean with them but that would get her fired. Jess placed her head in her hands as tears appeared in her eyes. Jess sighed before placing her hands back on the keys to turn the alarms back on as she had placed them all on silent early this morning as her head was throbbing as she looked up she noticed the Add activate but because everything was on silent no alarms blared around the ARC it was just zeroing in on the anomaly Jess leant over to alert the team, when she pulled back and looked back at the screen. She wanted to earn their trust back maybe she needed to prove she was worth trusting. Jess nodded to herself as she minimized the map before standing up and walking out the ARC.

…

Becca sighed as she walked into the Hub she wasn't looking forward to facing Jess but she was looking for Connor and she wanted to see him before she went home, he wasn't answering his COMM or phone, Becca frowned when she spotted the ADD empty as she walked closer she noticed Jess's empty coffee cup sitting in its normal space but no Jess.

"Matt, I cant contact Connor... I just came down to ask Jess to track him through his black box but Jess isn't at the ADD and her cup is next to the ADD so she not making herself a drink" Becca stated her hand on her COMM as she finished she turned to see Lester standing behind her frowning as he also looked at the empty chair.

"Jones?" Lester stated looking over to one of the researchers who was sitting at a laptop over in the corner. "When was the last time you saw Jess Parker?" Lester asker making the assistant look up before frowning back at her laptop at the time.

"About an hour ago Sir" Jones replied looking up as Lester and Becca both frowned, Becca walked over to the ADD and sat down as Lester walked up behind her.

"Does Jess have a black box?" Becca asked looking up at Lester who shook his head just as Matt came to a stop next to them.

"What's going on?" Matt asked watching as Becca quickly familiarised herself with the ADD.

"Jess hasn't been seen for at least an hour" Lester supplied before turning back to the screen as Becca pulled up a map and started up a scan looking for Jess phone signal making Matt frown.

"How did you get Jess's number?" Matt asked bemused.

"Employee contact details, Jess has everyone's mobile and home phone number's stored including her own" Becca replied as Matt leant over her and opened up the internal COMMs.

"This is Matt, Connor, Abby, Emily, Becker and Mathew to the Hub now!" Matt stated as Becca carried on typing away.

"What's going on?" Connor asked as he and Abby rushed into the Hub to see Becca sitting at the ADD typing away like crazy. Matt sighed as he turned as the other three joined also shooting curious glances at Becca.

"Jess hasn't been seen for over an hour" Lester answered as the other all looked at him shocked. "Becca is trying to trace her mobile signal as we speak. And Connor you have COMMs for a reason... Becca discovered Jess missing as she came down here to have Jess find you!" Lester stated glaring at Connor who grimaced.

"Sorry I left them on my desk and I was in menagerie with Abby" Connor stated making the others shake theirs heads before he headed over to Becca. "Hey, what did you need me for?" Connor asked as he stopped next to Becca making her look up at him.

"Oh, it can wait until after we find Jess" Becca smiled as Connor nodded his head before he looked over the screens before frowning.

"Why do you have 2 windows open?" Connor asked as Becca frowned at him.

"I don't" Becca replied as Connor leaned over her and pulled another map up with a flashing blimp in the middle. "Is that a...?" Becca whispered in shock as Connor nodded silently. "Why? How hasn't the alarm gone?" Becca asked as she pulled up all the anomaly data as Connor checked a few systems before pressing a button making the alarm sound making Becca frown up at him.

"What we got?" Matt asked as the others walked over looking at the screen as Becca quickly pulled all the information up.

"Weston cemetery. Anomaly leads to Jurassic period. The ADD as been picking up the signal from the anomaly for over an hour" Becca replied as everyone else frowned. "Jess wouldn't go out there right?" Becca asked looking at the others after realising the times collaborated.

"She doesn't have field training" Abby stated staring at the screen as Becca pulled up a screen which she was using to triangulate Jess's phone signal.

"Her signal is coming from the cemetery" Becca whispered in shock.

"Wesley take over the ADD. Lets go" Matt stated as Becca quickly stood up and gave the seat to the guy standing behind her.

"Why would she go there alone?" Becca asked looking at Matt then Becker to watch them both shrug.

"We don't know. It will be the first thing I ask her when we find her" Matt sighed as they all rushed to the cars.

Becca sighed as she followed behind Becker as they all walked through the front gates of the cemetery, there was a light fog hanging in the air making Becca frown.

"Why do I feel like I have just walked into a horror movie?" Becca whispered looking around getting a really creepy feeling.

"Ok, we go in teams of three, visibility is low because of the fog. So we go slow and cover the ground thoroughly" Matt stated as he slowly looked around the at the closest head stones. "Me, Emily and Becker will head left. Abby, Connor and Becca down the main path. Mathew, Craig and Mike to the left. Luke and the rest of you guy filter around the perimeter and keep a eye out for any signs of life" Matt stated as they all started off into there different directions.

"Tell me I'm not the only one that feels like they are being watched?" Becca whispered looking to her left to see Abby walking with her shoulders tensed and Connor to her right his eye darting everywhere as he clutched the EMD he was holding tightly as they shined the torches they were holding around looking for any signs.

"Really trying not to think about it" Abby whispered making Becca smile tightly as she shone her torch around again before stopping as she saw a glare flash at her.

"Guys" Becca whispered not looking around as she walked towards the object that had caught her attention. As she reached it she bent down and picked up the mobile she recognised as Jess's. "Connor, Abs..." Becca's voice went quiet as she realised they were not with her.

"This is Wesley, Becca you, Abby and Connor have gotten separated" Wesley's voice sounded over the COMMs.

"I know I spotted something and went to look, I was whispering, Abby and Connor didn't hear me" Becca replied into the COMM. "But I have found Jess's phone" Becca replied as she stood back up her torch light lighting the path making her freeze as she spotted prints on the ground which was damp.

"Becca stay where you are, Connor and Abby get to Becca's location. Mathew, Craig and Mike filter through to the main path that them three took" Matt's voice floated through the COMM.

"There's an incursion." Becca whispered as she shone the torch around her slowly. "I have found Jess's foot prints and there are tracks following them. From what I can see 2 Raptors" Becca whispered trying to shine her torch out as far as possible.

"We are on our way, stay put until someone reaches you" Matt voice came back over the COMM.

"Jess might not have that much time, I'm not about to let anything happen to her" Becca stated as she pocketed Jess's phone before stepping the same way as Jess's foot prints. "I found the phone to the left of the main path and Jess's foot prints are going across closer to the path you, Emily and Becker took Matt" Becca stated as she charged her EMD.

"Becca!" Matt stated angrily.

"I'm not going to let anything happen to Jess if I can stop it" Becca whispered as she had a really bad feeling she was being watched.

"Abby and Connor are following the same path you have taken Becca they are 500 yards behind you and Matt you are 800 yards away from Becca's current location" Wesley supplied over the COMM.

Becca stilled as something flashed in front of her on the ground she rushed forward to see a smashed ALD on the ground.

"I have a broken ALD, still no sign of Jess" Becca whispered before freezing as she heard the distinctive huff of a Raptor to her left. Becca quickly raised her weapon and fired as the Raptor came into her line of vision. Becca slowly inched forward when she heard a thump on a head stone and the sound of rushing feet Becca quickly followed as she rounded around the tree that was in front of her she spotted Jess on the ground crouching against a head stone as 2 Raptors ran towards her. Becca aimed and fired with out thinking bringing the first Raptor down before firing on the second one as she watched that one hit the ground she rushed over to Jess who looked up as she heard feet approach her. Becca crotched next to her.

"Jess you ok?" Becca asked as Jess just stared at her with watering eyes before she burst into tears and sobbed.

"I'm sorry" Jess whispered brokenly. "I didn't think you were in the building with the anomaly. I just wanted to scare you I didn't try to kill you I swear" Jess cried as Becca looked at her in shock. "I have been in love with Becker for years and he has never made a move, he flirts but that's it. When your around though a blind person can see his attracted to you, I got jealous and I screwed up. I'm so sorry" Jess cried as Becca looked at her blankly before nodding her head before grabbing Jess's arm.

"Come on" Becca whispered pulling her to her feet. "I forgive you" Becca whispered before activating her COMM. "I have Jess, she is fine and I have 3 Raptors down" Becca stated as Jess looked at the unconscious Raptor. "You might want to get further away from it, I could wake up" Becca stated making Jess walk quickly over to her before freezing as they heard movement coming towards them Becca shone her light towards the direction to see Abby and Connor break through the light between two graves.

"Oh thank god" Abby sighed seeing them both uninjured.

"You gave us a fright" Connor smiled at Becca as Abby walked over to Jess and grabbed her by the shoulders.

"What the bloody hell were you thinking?" Abby yelled making Becca and Connor raise there eyebrow's as Becca looked around slowly.

"We are over here Raptor pack" Becca whispered making Connor laugh as Abby shot them both a glare.

"I.. I" Jess stuttered before stopping as Matt, Emily and Becker came upon them all Matt smiling as he looked at Abby.

"Thanks for the locator beacon Abby" Matt smiled amused before looking over at Becca and pointing at her. "You and me are having a chat when we get back about following orders" Matt stated shaking his head as Connor laughed and Becker shook his head as Becca shrugged her shoulders. "And Jess we will be having a long talk once this situation is closed" Matt stated as Jess nodded numbly. "Mike how far away are you?"

"Not sure we crossed over the main path about 200 yards ago" Mike replied.

"Mike you are 300 yards away they are north-west of your current location" Wesley stated.

"Got it" Mike replied as Matt look over everyone.

"When they get here Jess you will go back to the cars with them then we will search for the anomaly and make sure there are no more Raptors around" Matt stated as the others nodded as they looked around again.

"We could always get Abby to yell again... that would attract any remaining Raptors" Becca smiled sweetly as Abby flipped her off making everyone else laugh at the two of them as Jess wrapped her arms around her waist.

"Maybe not the safest option" Matt laughed as Abby punched Becca's arm much to Connor's amusement.

"Hey" Mike smiled as he came into view with Mathew and Craig behind him as they were carrying the unconscious Raptor between them before laying it down with the other two. "We thought we should bring him over" Mike smiled as Matt nodded his head before looking at Jess.

"Craig I want you and Mathew to escort Jess back to the cars" Matt sighed before turning to Mike. "You can stay with us as we search the rest of the cemetery for the anomaly" Matt sighed as Mike nodded as Matt walked over to Jess and placed his hand on her arm making her look up. "Jess I want you to go back to the cars with Craig and Mathew" Matt stated as Jess nodded numbly before walking over to Craig through put his arm around her and led her away and back down the path to the front gates. "Alright, I want everyone to STAY together" Matt stated enthusing the stay as he looked at Becca making the others smile as Becca rolled her eyes.

"His going to be threatening me with handcuffs next" Becca muttered to Connor making him laugh as Matt glared at them both before smirking at them.

"Connor, Abby, Becca and Becker. You four stay on this path the rest of us will split in to two more teams" Matt smiled as Becca rolled her eyes.

"What you think Becker can control her better than us?" Abby asked placing her hands on her hips making everyone laugh as Matt shook his head.

"Becker you have my permission to EMD all of them" Matt laughed as Becker shook his head.

"Thanks" Becker muttered as he walked over to Abby who was watching Connor and Becca play shove each other. "Come on children!" Becker smirked making both Connor and Becca look up at him with raised eyebrows.

"Kids" Becca asked with a smirk as Becker just rolled his eyes before pointing the direction they were to head off.

"Shut up and just move" Becker laughed as Becca and Connor turned and walked off ahead after sticking their tongues out at him.

"Is this anomaly invisible?" Becca muttered as she looked at Abby nearly 25 minutes later making her laugh as Connor covered his mouth to stop himself laughing as Becker rolled his eyes at the three of them. Becca smiled as she let Connor and Abby get a little head as she fell back with Becker who looked at her quickly before looking back his surroundings. "Sorry if we are bugging you" Becca smiled making Becker look at her with a slight smile.

"I'm used to Connor and Abby... I'm also used to you joining in with them now" Becker smiled as Becca laughed nodding her head. "Today's just been a bad day and by the looks of it a long night" Becker sighed making Becca frown before she rubbed his arm.

"That's the good thing about bad nights they wake into a new day" Becca smiled making Becker look at her. "The day does pass eventually" Becca smiled as she grabbed his hand to pull him along quicker making him smile.

"You're not going to break in to song are you?" Becker smiled as Becca frowned at him before smiling as she shook her head much to the silent amusement of Connor and Abby who had stayed with in distance of the two so they could eavesdrop.

"Guys fall back this is Matt, we have the anomaly and have locked it. Mike and me are heading back for the Raptors you guys head back to the cars" Matt voice flooded through the COMMs making them all sigh.

"Thank god" Connor sighed making Becker laugh as Abby and Becca shook their heads.

"Lets head back to the cars" Becker laughed as Abby jumped on the spot as she and Connor spun around and headed back the way they came from.

"I told you so" Becca smiled as she walked past him and bumping his shoulder making him smile as he walked to catch up with them.

Becca sighed as she looked at the books on her desk in the lab. The moment they had gotten back from the cemetery, Jess, Matt, Lester and Becker had been in Lester's office. It was now 2 hours later and she didn't want to leave the lab. What Jess did was wrong, yes but it had happened she was ok and she didn't want Jess being punished to harshly. Becca sighed as she sat down and pulled the notebook that belonged to Helen that her dad had on him to her and started to flicked through it. Becca frowned as she looked at a drawing before looking up as Matt opened the door and walked in with a small smile on his face.

"Becker passed on your message to me and Lester before we called Jess in. You didn't have to do that, Jess didn't deserve it" Matt sighed shaking his head.

"She made a mistake... we all make them, hers just could have had deadly circumstances" Becca smiled as Matt nodded his head.

"Well Lester had the final say Jess is to issue you a public apology and she is taking a mandatory weeks holiday" Matt sighed shaking his head as Becca smiled and nodded her head.

"Thank you" Becca smiled as Matt smiled before turning back to the door before stopping and turning back to Kacey before picking up a rubber from that side of the table and tossing it into the air and catching it.

"Oh, and next time I give you an order... follow it" Matt stated before throwing the small rubber at Becca's head making her laugh.

"Yes boss" Becca laughed making Matt shake his head as he left the office, Becca frowned as she looked back down at the book in front of her as she looked at the drawing dread filling her entire body.
