Oh yeah...this is the Commando Zoey episode, isn't it? Enjoy! Thanks for reviewing, Ali6132, AvrilLavigneFan2001, Derpimelt1000 and the guest reviewer.
Cameron, Zoey and I met up in a tree the next morning to talk about eliminations. We all knew that we only had plans for the next two eliminations – Scott had to go first.
"That jerk's kicked off so many people!" Zoey agreed. "Now it's his turn to feel the pain."
"Personally," I mused, "I want to throw Scott into a volcano. I don't know if you noticed how many times he hit on me this season. Not only do I not like him, but he sucks at it – at least some people on this show know how to do it."
Cameron suggested that we convince Lightning to join up with us.
I shrugged. "Lightning? He's kind of a strong player in some ways. I think we should probably ask him, but I wouldn't count on him as an ally. He'll be soooo pissed if he works out that I used him as a distraction in the last challenge."
But just as we were agreeing, suddenly the branch broke. Zoey was left clinging to the top, while Cameron and I fell.
I closed my eyes, waiting for the inevitable...but my landing was soft. Suddenly, I heard Cameron scream.
That's when I heard an unmistakable voice. "Today's forecast: geeky showers with a chance of nerd...and if you're lucky, a cute girl."
I opened my eyes to find that my soft landing was actually...Scott. To be fair, he wasn't holding me inappropriately or anything, but one of his hands, the one which was attached to the arm supporting my back, was rubbing my arm sensually. He ignored my death glare.
Zoey fell, too, but she didn't get such a soft landing.
"...and other girl." Scott added as she fell.
"Scott?!" she exclaimed.
"Zoey! Nice of you to drop in! I just had a killer idea, totally up your alley. Here goes: You two and me team up together and vote off Lightning."
"Put me down and I'll think about it." I said sarcastically. "Oh wait...I wouldn't agree to it anyway."
Zoey just burst out laughing for a moment, then stopped. "Oh. You're serious."
"I know you two and me aren't best buds, but you guys aren't exactly powerhouses." Scott pointed out. "Do you guys really wanna go head-to-head with Mr Mega Jock?"
"Better a mega-jock then a mega-jerk." Zoey answered. "And from what I've heard, Shannon's not interested in you, and she's in a relationship. Let her go."
Scott shrugged and dropped me, just as Lightning swung by and made Scott's point, just by being awesome. Zoey began walking, and Scott crouched down and whispered to me "I'm still keeping an eye on you, sweetheart. I will have you."
"I'll slap you later." I snapped and followed Zoey.
"He did it again, just now!" I told her. "Why won't he take the hint and leave me alone? Do you know what he just said? He said he was still going to keep watching me and that he would 'have' me. I'm not a possession!"
Zoey nodded, scowling. "Definitely. That's why we're going to vote him off."
Chris had a slight problem that morning. You see, Scott had been setting all these traps around the island to catch Fang, but he used one of them to pull our tree branch down, and another to hurl Cameron out of the woods and all the way back to camp. Chris accidentally got in one, and ended up stuck in the bathrooms. He immediately told Chef that the red light challenges he'd come up with were now allowed.
I gulped. Chef was psycho crazy, I knew that. If he was in charge with a challenge, things were going to be terrifying.
Each of us got a little kitchen stall, and we had to do a cook-off.
"Bring in the TD classic competitor!" Chef ordered. An intern wheeled in a tied-up, blindfolded competitor. I recognized him immediately – strong but soft-hearted DJ, a bit of a wimp at times and a Mama's boy, but a nice guy with a huge heart. Everyone on the show liked DJ.
Chef took the blindfold off, and DJ immediately looked around, terrified. "No! Not here! I vowed never to be back here as long as there was breath in my lungs!"
Basically, the rules of the cook-off were simple. We could make something with anything on the island within twenty minutes, then DJ would judge the food.
I was glad I'd kept my last marshmallow. That would be part of the food, for sure.
I got lucky, actually. I managed to get honey from a beehive (because Lightning knocked it down and the swarm chased him), and then, I sneaked into Chef's kitchen (hey, it was on the island), and managed to find some of his good stuff that he and Chris got to eat. So I grabbed some chocolate biscuits and made the food – two chocolate biscuits with a melted marshmallow inside and fresh honey on top.
Zoey made a salad with beetles in it, Lightning made some kind of maggot in some kind of creamy sauce (while it was still alive), while Cameron and Scott both made quiche, except Scott's turned out green. When it moved, DJ freaked, broke free of the ropes, and ran, screaming.
Chef glared at us. "Rule change! You gotta eat all of your own weird grub. You hurl, you lose."
I wished I hadn't made something sweet. I didn't have diabetes or anything, but, I couldn't stand most sweet stuff. I had to take tiny bits, and Scott finished first without barfing.
The next part of the challenge involved getting to a place in the forest, and for winning the first challenge, Scott was the only one who didn't have to wear a tracking collar. Chef would try to hunt us down, but first to the flagpole would win. And if he did find us, Chef would shoot his spicy spaghetti at us – and trust me, it didn't just burn tastebuds, it burned skin too.
Zoey and I ran together. That's how I saw it happen. Chef found us first, and backed us to the edge of a cliff. "Game's over, dorkettes!" he yelled.
"OK, OK, we give up! You win!" Zoey and I both yelled together. Neither of us wanted to get blasted.
"Well..." Chef said. "Let's make it official." And with that, we both fell off the edge, covered in spicy sauce. It wasn't too far to fall, but it felt like it.
It wasn't so bad for me. I immediately sat up. "I hate this show." I muttered. "I swear, next time, I see Chef, I – Zoey?"
My friend was looking tearful. She held up a necklace she hadn't shown me before. It was a circle with Mike's face etched on it, but half of it broke off. "Mike gave it to me just before he left." she murmured. Suddenly, her face changed. She looked at the broken necklace again, and suddenly, chenched her fists, still holding it. She scowled, more than I'd ever seen her do so before, and she stood up, and let out a scream, her violet eyes flashing.
Then, she tore off part of her red top, and tied it around her head, exposing her stomach. She drew black marks on her face from the dirt, and ran off, setting her own traps and makng a bow and arrow, paying no attention to me.
"Zoey, what are you doing?" I ventured. She didn't answer properly – I mean, she wasn't looking at me. When she spoke, it didn't seem to be to me, anyway.
"It's payback time!" she declared. "And I don't CARE if that's OK with everyone!" She laughed manically, and I backed away slowly. I'd have to do this on my own.
As it was, Cameron won the challenge. He and Lighting had found a way to ditch their collars, and although only Lightning had run to the finish, Cameron had jumped on his back and accidentally touched the pole first.
And even better, one of Zoey's traps had injured Scott enough so that he had to go home. He was hit by a boulder and rolled around, so Cameron, Zoey and I voted him off. But Lightning was furious at Cameron, although they had immunity.
"What?" exclaimed Scott. "You gotta be kidding me!"
Zoey smirked and I grinned tentatively at her.
And Chris, recovered, came back and got payback for Scott's trap hurling him into the outhouse. He made Fang join Scott in the hurl. Fang took back his tooth, and we watched the soulless ginger get hurled.
Yeah, gingers had souls, mostly. But Scott...he was the exception, not the rule.
Just so you know, I am NOT anti-ginger. One of my closest friends had red hair, and she had tons of soul. Scott, on the other hand...I think he got one in between ROTI and All-Stars. He didn't have one for most of the season, though. But I have nothing against gingers, on this show or off. I love Izzy, and Zoey, too, actually. Rodney I find kind of annoying, but Scarlett is actually one of my favourite PI characters, maybe joint first with Jasmine. Anyway, review!
