Chapter 11: Blood Dagger Part 2
A/N: Welcome back and now here we have chapter 11, a lot of reader wanted dagger quest series to return so here it is the second part in the quest series.
Please note that Sword Art Online is not mine and I take no profit from this story. If you haven't read chapter ten do so as I know the uploads between the two chapters has been extremely short.

Floor 5 - Day after clearing the fourth floor.
As the early sun rose in Aincrad the fifth floor slowly awoke from its night cycle, based within town of Tricol Kirito woke up, today was the day they formed the guild and it could well be the day everything changed.
The adventures of the third and fourth floors were uneventful, Kirito had gotten both of the last attack bonus's and had acquired a new cloak to wear during his solo training and quests and Asuna had gotten even faster with her rapier.
Kirito's gear at the present moment was relatively the same style as his floor two items. His coat of midnight was now a coat called Dark Chaos. The coat itself was an advanced version of the coat of midnight just with improved stealth and protection.
His swords were upgraded nearly to max now his Blue Crystal was now +8 Sharpness, +8 Endurance, and +7 Durability.
Getting up from his slumber Kirito stretched and looked around the room, the rooms on the fifth floor were cheap, only 5 col for a room for a week. Getting up Kirito equipped all his gear as well as his cloak before stepping out of the Inn he had been staying at.
As he wanted to get a few quests in before he registered the guild, Kirito headed for the town gates and out into the fields of the fifth floor.
Upon leaving the town, Kirito saw an NPC quest giver, walking over to the person Kirito started the quest.
"Greetings traveller" Spoke the elder NPC quest giver. "You be off to the tower aren't you?"
"Why yes good sir I am" replied Kirito. "Heard any rumours lately?"
"Aye the castle down the road be filled with ghosts they say a vampire lives there but in order to get in your required to have a certain dagger"
"I'll take a look at the castle then"
"Do be careful I hear people hallucinate in there…"
With that the quest was started and the name Blood Dagger Part 2 Appeared. Opening his Menu Kirito saw that in his inventory the blood dagger was now greyed out with a gold box around it indicating that it was now a quest item.
As Kirito walked forward to the tower, he took in a good look around at his surroundings, the area around the castle was grim, it screamed of the place being evil. The look of the place made Kirito shiver. Suddenly thunder and lightning went off by the castle.
"Is it a requirement for all creepy castles to have lightning near it?" muttered Kirito.
Kirito thought about summoning Midnight but thought otherwise and decided to leave him in his inventory, Bringing up his hood on his cloak Kirito attached his bow and arrows and walked into the castle.
As he entered the main entrance hall, Kirito looked at the decor it was old very old and the vibes in the place were off, it was like he was being watched.
As Kirito looked around he saw Asuna lying in a pool of blood up ahead and without thinking Kirito started rushing forward and as he got closer Kirito got into a full sprint trying to get to Asuna but as he got closer the body disappeared kneeling down next to where the body was Kirito put a hand on his face and gave a deep breath suddenly a new door opened.
Turning his head slowly, Kirito looked into the corridor of where the door lay, standing up Kirito walked towards the corridor as he went past the door, the door slammed shut and he suddenly started feeling uneasy something was about to happen.
Kirito unequipped his bow and arrow and equipped his Blue Crystal and his new sword Starlight Blade, the new sword had a dark blue to black colour on its blade with a white trim on the outer shade the hilt was shaped as a knuckle brace, though weaker than his Blue Crystal it was still powerful in its own right. The Accel Blade he acquired back on the second floor broke during a training session on the third floor.
As the swords were attached Kirito felt the extra weight from the second blade, it was a good thing that he was wearing light armour as the swords weighed a tone. Closing his menu Kirito looked down the hall to see a cloaked figure as the figure walked forward they drew their sword, seeing this Kirito drew both of his as his face was hidden by this cloak it was save to use it.
"You are trespassing I must make you yield and throw to our queens feet" spoke the voice.
The voice was familiar yet not, he couldn't work out where he'd heard that voice from, he was shaken from his thoughts as the figure attacked and Kirito had to quickly block the attack. As this was a small narrow corridor it would be a close fight. Blade clashed and Kirito was getting pushed back as he couldn't find the room to use his off hand.
Kicking them away Kirito rushed forward and rolled over the figure before rotating his blades and thrusting them into the player while facing away from them, no particles were heard and as Kirito turned around the figure just faded away.
Storing his blades, Kirito walked slowly forward down the corridor as he exited the corridor a mantle with a keyhole lay in the centre of the hall Kirito had entered. The hall was most like a ball room and it had amazing art decorated around on the ceiling, lit torches lit the room and on the mantle lay a torch. Walking up to the mantle Kirito examined it before reading the inscription on the mantle.
This is the Mantle of Drake and you are within the Castle of Tricol. But it is known by other names such as the Castle of fear and the Castle of illusions. The Castle will make you live you deepest fears.
To be truly be free of fear one must fight fear head on, to be free you must fight and to be free you must survive.
If you have the dagger of blood place it within the keyhole and enter the next chamber, you will come back after you are done to retrieve the dagger.
So go forth and place the dagger and enter the chamber.
After reading the inscription, opening up his menu Kirito navigated and selected the Blood dagger and entered it into the keyhole, as the dagger locked into place, on the other side of the mantle the floor slowly opened up and steps formed.
Walking around the Mantle Kirito took a torch that was left on the mantel and walked over to another lit it, before walking back. As Kirito walked down into the dark cellar below the hall and as he got to the bottom the stairs started to close behind him. Looking at where the stairs were before Kirito looked around and found other torches lined on the wall, going over to each one Kirito lit up the cellar.
Placing his torch in the empty torch slot, another door opened and Kirito walked into what he presumed was the main chamber, it was well lit and as Kirito walked in the door once again closed and a giggle was heard.
Drawing his swords Kirito looked around and saw in a throne in the back of the chamber was the Vampire Queen. The Vampire queen looked at Kirito with a sultry smile and lifted a finger and Kirito was pushed to his knees.
The Vampire queen giggled before floating down to Kirito and she lowered his hood and started stroking his face and smiled at him.
"Oh I've missed you swordsman" Uttered the Vampire queen, before hands started to travel southward. "I missed this, you frozen there with me touching you like this. Perhaps you will finally submit to me and become my king"
"Never!" Replied Kirito as he struggled to break free of the Vampire Queen's power. "You're no ordinary NPC are you?"
The vampire queen moved her hand away and pushed Kirito to the floor and proceeded to sit on him before smiling and whispering into his ear.
"Come now swordsman wouldn't you rather have some fun" Said the vampire queen wickedly.
As Kirito struggled against her the vampire Queen decided to quickly brush herself against him before she stood up and used a finger to lift Kirito up back onto his feet
"But I'll give you your answer, after all your mine now, yes I am not an NPC I am an AI created by my Master" Replied the Queen. "My master gave me the power to control player with my voice and fingers only the amulet of starlight can protect one but fortunately I have it here on this desk so that won't happen"
Struggling against the power again Kirito tried to lift his sword, but it was extremely difficult if only he could get that amulet, perhaps there was a way.
"What do you want with me?" Questioned Kirito. "Surely you have better things to do"
The Vampire Queen giggled before going back over to Kirito and brushing herself against him before replying.
"Well you were going to be my play but now I want you as my King and with my power over you, you wouldn't be able to resist for example" The Vampire queen pointed at Kirito's right hand and forced him to drop his sword before lifting his hand and pushing it against her left breast. "Mmm so good, maybe we should do something more intimate."
Giving it all his Strength Kirito lifted his left hand and sliced the Vampire Queen's Right hand. As the starlight blade made contact the Vampire Queen gave a scream releasing Kirito. Rushing over to the desk Kirito grabbed the amulet and equipped it.
As the Vampire queen held her hand, she looked at and gave a maniacal laugh and a smile that indicated that she was crazy.
"Now swordsman can't we just become lovers already, I can show you things… Sexual things" persuaded the Queen. She lifted her other hand and pointed it at Kirito to get him to kneel down again only to find that it wasn't working.
Kirito looked at the queen and smirked.
"Maybe you shouldn't go and shout thing and have gotten so confident" Replied Kirito as he indicated to the Amulet.
The Vampire Queen held her wounded hand against her chest and giggled at Kirito while they walked in circles Kirito picked up his sword and unequipped his offhand.
"Oh swordsman, it wouldn't be as fun if I could have my way all the time, the last group of boys I found they willingly gave themselves to me but you I want you more and I have someone to help me"
As the vampire Queen finished her sentence the door opened and in walked Emily though as soon as her eyes set on Kirito she her eyes went with obsessiveness.
"Emily…" Uttered Kirito. Why was Emily here? Surely she would join the Vampire queen willingly. "What did you do to her!?"
"Oh I did nothing, she willingly gave herself to me" giggled the Queen. "Didn't you my pretty?"
"The queen promised we could be together Kirito" Answered Emily. "Together just the two of us, no Asuna, no game just us, together forever"
"Are you stupid Emily!? Asuna did nothing wrong, the Vampire queen's evil" Shouted Kirito.
"From my point of view Asuna is Evil!" Replied Emily in anger. "She stole you from me"
"How did she steal me? I'm not someone's possession" replied Kirito. "Besides I rather stay by Asuna if you're going to act like this"
Growling Gripped the hilt of her sword and spat at Kirito. "If I can't have you, no one can, The Vampire Queen gave me a special skill one that you don't have, a unique skill"
Drawing her blade, Emily clicked the button on it and her single blade became a double edge sword.
"This is your last chance Kirito you're either with me or against me, if you're against me I'll just knock you out and lock you away and have my way with you"
"Oh how you have fallen" replied Kirito. As they walked around each other in circles Kirito started to twirl his sword. "You will not succeed that I will make sure of"
As the Vampire queen moved back to her throne she couldn't help but giggle as she watched on she couldn't help but wonder why he wasn't using his dual wield abilities, was it because he didn't want the world to know or was it because he would be too powerful for her puppet. Her master would need to know of this.
"Don't let lecture me Kirito, I see the lies of your words" Spat Emily. "Now Kirito are you ready for the beating of your life!"
Readying his Blade, Kirito looked into Emily eyes and gave her a cold stare, he'd just have to make her see reason and if he had to beat her in this fight then that was the only way.
"Oh Kirito didn't you know this chamber is considered a PVP area so we won't be marked as red players if one of us is hurt or killed by the other so I won't be holding back"
Rolling his eyes, Emily was far too over confident for her own good, tightening his grip on his blade, Kirito readied himself.
Not wanting to wait any longer, Emily leaped at Kirito and attacked. Kirito blocked it and spun around to block again from Emily's second attack as she was wield a doubled bladed sword, her moves were slightly weak.
As the fight continued Kirito pushed Emily back and began his assault and forced Emily to take several step back as Kirito's blade went from one side of her blade to the other. Kirito's assault was incredible Emily couldn't keep up with his speed, as her defence faulted, Kirito went to trip Emily only for her to jump backwards and leap at Kirito again. This time Kirito was ready and went to intercept one of the blades, and as the blade made contact Kirito sliced down to the hilt and Hit Emily's hand. Emily gave a scream before jumping back.
The Vampire queen looked up and frowned and the swordsman was winning the fight perhaps, her puppet needed assistance. As she saw Emily nearly take another hit, the vampire queen decided to bring in someone to help her. As the chamber door behind the vampire queen's throne opened Kirito pushed Emily back and knocked her into the wall and looked towards the newcomer.
The newcomer was one of first floor raid group that never got to fight, the player just leaped at Kirito and Kirito easily pushed him away and turned back to Emily to find that she was being retrieved by the Vampire Queen.
"You will pay for this swordsman, you will still become mine, mark my words" With that the Vampire Queen vanished with Emily and Kirito turned back to the player and reengaged him pushing him back with his sword as they locked blades once again.
Seeing no other way Kirito rolled over the player, twirled his sword and stabbed the player backwards. As he heard the sound of gasp from the player, Kirito looked to the far side of the chamber with regret, and as he heard the particles behind him, a lone tear ran down Kirito's cheek. Storing his blade away Kirito put his hood back up and turn towards the door and walked out of it.
The door way led Kirito back to the hall he was originally in with the mantel piece, walking over Kirito retrieved the dagger and as he did the quest completion appeared, closing the completion window Kirito opened up his menu and warped back to Tricol.
For him this was a dark day as he had just killed a player, stepping off the platform Kirito's eyes started to glaze over and he began to walk around the town with his hood up and allowed t he tears to run, he had to be strong and move forward. After cleaning himself up Kirito walked through the town all the while knowing that this day could very well haunt him, Kirito saw Asuna standing by the fountain with Klein and Agil waiting for him and as he looked at her Kirito gave a smile and lowered his hood and ran over to them
If this day was to haunt him, he was glad to be around Asuna, Klein and Agil it made the burden almost worth it just to see their smiling faces. As the group all laughed Kirito forgot about the blood dagger quest for now after all there was no need to sour the mood.

Meanwhile in the ruby palace on the 100th floor the Vampire queen walked into the throne room and knelt down before her Master.
"I have news my master" uttered the Vampire Queen as she looked up at the figure.
