A/N From now on Caving In will be more like a series of Oneshots, it will still follow the storyline, but there will be some time gaps. I guess I like it more this way, because I am not good at writing fluff if it is not in just simple oneshots. So if you have any prompts for SQ oneshots that fit in this storyline, just leave them in the reviews or PM me about them

Caving In Chapter 11

It was a few weeks after Emma had just saved Regina and they were faring rather well, of course there was the occasional argument because Regina was too stubborn to accept the help Emma was offering, or because Emma forget how to use some tact and ended up hitting one of Regina's sensitive nerves.

Today was one of those days where Emma had lost all sense of tact and ended up hurting Regina again. Well not exactly hurting, okay yes she was hurting her it was actually rather painful.

"You don't care, do you?" Emma had shouted frustrated.

"You don't even fucking care about it!" She had exclaimed and stormed out of the mayoral mansion.

Regina was left in the kitchen, fuming with rage and stinging with hurt. This time it was not Emma's place to begin about that. It wasn't her place to even bring it up at all. she couldn't believe she had done that. In her anger, Regina felt the magic prickling at her fingertips, waiting to be released and to be used for something, to be used to hurt someone or something. But she couldn't do that now could she? No, no she couldn't because that would make her Evil again. Not that she wasn't evil… she just didn't really appreciate being called it.

Emma had brought up Graham. And Regina didn't regret much, but one of the things that she did regret, was killing Graham. She had killed him in a fit of rage, when she couldn't even think straight. It still pained her to think back to that. And now it seemed that Emma felt like bringing that particular thing up again.

Regina already felt like… well she didn't feel particularly well, let's keep it at that for now. She had felt on edge the whole day, unsettled, filled with nerves. She had no idea why but she did. And then when Emma brought him up after dinner when Henry was already sound asleep. Emma had brought up his death, she had never known what had really happened, so she had asked if Regina had something to do with it. Emma said she had suspected so, she said she always had a feeling Regina had had an influence in his sudden death. Regina had admitted she had done it, she had killed him by crushing his heart. And something in Emma snapped, she started blaming Regina, started saying how she had ruined everything for herself. That she didn't deserve Henry anymore and that Regina didn't even care about anything at all anymorel.

Those last things has broken something in Regina, she and Emma were doing so good. They were doing great actually, but of course, like everything in her life, Regina had messed it up again. Emma did actually have every right to blame her for Graham, but when she started about Henry… oh when she started about him Regina saw red. She held it in, of course. She let Emma have her rant and had let Emma storm out of the door. But that didn't mean she wasn't furious, that she was now steaming of anger. She had to get out of the house. Now. It didn't matter that she was still incredibly weak from being sick, and actually dying, she needed some air. And she needed to break something, or set something on fire, something in that range. So she left the house as well, knowing Henry he would sleep through all of this and just wake up in the morning oblivious to what had happened here this night. She left the house and went for a walk, hoping she wouldn't run into the last person she wanted to see right now. She walked towards the forest and started to set fire to some old fallen down trees. Letting her magic out in that way, so it would be safe and it would give her something to do with her magic.

After what felt like about an hour, her phone was ringing. She let is go to voicemail only to hear it ringing again two minutes after that, and then three minutes after that again, now there was a pause of ten minutes before it rang again. Every time she would let it go to voicemail knowing who was calling her and not being in the mood to talk to that person now. Not until she was sure that her poisonous tongue wouldn't betray her like it would normally do when she was angry, and she could normally talk again.

After maybe an hour after all the phone calls she heard some rustling in the woods, but she couldn't really care less about it. She just went on finding old trees and burning them down, enjoying how it felt. To be able to burn things down, to let her magic and anger seep away in a safe but immensely satisfying way. After a few more minutes she felt two strong, warm, and oh so familiar arms wrap around her from behind. She only stiffened in the two embrace, but didn't do anything else at first.

"I am so sorry." Regina heard being whispered in her ear. She broke out of the embrace violently. She turned around and faced the person whose arms had just encircled her waist. She felt furious, still. Seriously? A simple 'I am sorry' would fix all the things she had thrown at Regina?

She narrowed her eyes at Emma. "after all the things you said to me, you expect a simple 'I'm sorry' to fix everything? How stupid do you think I am?" Regina spat out and felt the anger return again, together with the hurt and sadness those words had caused her.

"Emma, I thought I could trust you to be understanding, for you to not judge me like all the other people are already doing. I thought you were different than them." She said in a terribly pained voice, her eyes watering at all the overwhelming emotions she was feeling.

Emma was taken aback at everything she saw swirling in those brown orbs that were now intently staring at her. She couldn't believe how she could have hurt Regina so badly, when Regina was already overtired and over sensitive from recovering from actually dying. How could she have been such an obnoxious idiot? And how would she ever even be able to make it up to the beautiful woman?

"But now? Well now you don't seem all that different." Regina said softly, the hurt over shadowing the anger by a wide range. "I told you, I have regretted killing him in that fit of rage more than you could imagine, but that part was actually still quite acceptable to what came after that… now that was something that you really didn't need to tell me. I already kept blaming myself for letting Henry believe he was crazy when he believed in the fairytales. I already thought I wasn't worth him or his love, but then you go and rub that in. then you come and say I don't deserve him…" Regina couldn't continue when her voice broke too badly and tears spilled from her lashes.

Emma tried to approach Regina not knowing what to say, so tongue-tied as she was she wanted to try and comfort her, she tried to put her arms around Regina, but Regina looked up with a glare that could make any other person weep and beg for mercy. She Emma backed off again.

Regina hugged herself around her waist in a protective manner and stood up. "Emma I think it will be best if you would just go and sleep in your apartment again, and if you are worried about me hurting Henry in anyway, because I don't deserve him, then take him with you as well." Regina said and disappeared in a purple puff of smoke, feeling far too broken and hurt to keep talking.

So now there was Regina, in her vaults, in one of the deepest layers. Not wishing to see anyone.

Emma just stood there finally realizing how fucking wrong she was. How big of an idiot she had been. Even though she had snapped, It was no excuse for saying those kind of things to Regina…

And now? Well now Emma had to find a way to make it up to that beautiful, but oh so broken woman.
