Rin woke up to something nudging her head. She slowly turned her head over to see Tut nudging her head. He was sniffing her and licked her cheek. Rin giggled and rubbed his head. Tut leaned into her touch and turned his head to look over to his sister Tira. Tira hopped onto the bed started needing the pillows on her bed before she lay down and fell asleep. Tut snorted and bit her tail to get her up. Tira hopped up glaring at her brother and swatted him on the nose. He in return swatted her and the two started a little fight. Rin picked up the two and held them apart. Even though they were in the air they were still swinging at each other. She had a hard time holding in her giggle as she put the two down and they attacked each other again.

She stopped giggling when she heard a knock on her door. She turned her head to the door and tilted her head for she didn't recognize the silhouette. It was that of a man and before she could say come in the door opened. It was revealed as Sesshomaru wearing his usual attire without the armor. His usual unemotional mask was in place but Rin could see in his eyes that he was troubled. She walked over to him and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder and gave him her signature smile. He responded with a small smile of his own but it soon vanished when something broke in the background.

The two looked over to where Tut and Tira were and lying at their paws was a broken vase. Sesshomaru released an agitated sigh while Rin started giggling. Sesshomaru walked over to the two nuisances and picked up the broken pieces while the two culprits looked at him as though it were his fault for putting the vase there. The three glared at each other for what seemed like hours however it was a mere five seconds before Rin walked over to pick up Tut and Tira to place them on her bed.

Sesshomaru followed them with his eyes but soon turned his gaze back to the broken vase. His irritation grew tenfold because the vase he placed in Rin's room was imported from the main land. It nearly took him an entire year to locate it for her room and the two headaches destroyed it in 20 seconds. Shaking his head he let the piece fall to the ground and walked over to Rin as she tried to keep Tut and Tira from killing each other. He let his gaze soften at the display before him. Then he gently placed his hand on her shoulder gaining her attention.

"Rin would like to accompany me for a walk in the garden?"

Rin in return nodded her head with smile and got up to go take her bath, leaving Sesshomaru with Tut and Tira. The three stared at one another then Tira broke the silence.

"Sesshomaru where is Kai for I did not see him when I walked to Rin's room?" asked a concerned Tira.

"He left to go after my father." Sesshomaru answered with an icy cold voice

"That fool, Nephira would have wanted him to stay here and remain safe not go out and make himself a walking target all over again." Tut sounded really annoyed and went to the pillow to lie down and take a nap.

Sesshomaru could only stare at Tut in disbelief at his callous words. He knew that Kai was being a fool in going after his father but that did not mean he did not agree with Kai's decision. He knew he would have most likely done that same thing if he was in Kai's position and it was Rin instead of Nephira. His musing was cut short by Tira's voice.

"Don't let Tut's blunt words get to you. He is truly concerned for Kai's life because he is one of a few beings that can make Nephira happy." Her voice was soft and wise.

Sesshomaru could only nod in response before he headed to the baths to get ready to walk in the garden with Rin.

Rin reached the baths in no time and stripped down then slowly plunged into the hot bath. She came up for air than leaned against the side of bath to think. Her head was full of questions and the main one blaring in her mind was about the safety of Nephira. She was extremely concerned about Nephira's health at the moment that she failed to notice her reflection turn into that of Kiyoko's. However the child's voice brought her out of her thoughts and back to reality.

"Don't wowwy about mommy, okway." Stated Kiyoko

"I know but…" Rin quickly looked down into the water to see Kiyoko's face staring back at her. Her eyes widen in shock because it was the first time she had actually seen the toddler that resided within her body. She could not believe her eyes the child that Nephira lost, the child that the gods wanted dead, and the older sibling of Sesshomaru-sama finally revealed herself to her. Though in her eyes she looked like nothing more than a defenseless child same as Rin when she was beaten by the villagers before Sesshomaru-sama came into her life.

Kiyoko tilted her head in confusion when she saw Rin go deep in thought. Her own toddler mind couldn't really understand what was going on but what she did know was that something inside the body she shared with Rin was tugging at her and she couldn't figure out what it was. It concerned her and wished her mommy was around to figure it out but at least she was not.

Rin sensing the child's concern looked back down at her and sent her one of her famous grins to help calm her down. Kiyoko in return smiled back but her smile was forced but Rin didn't notice for there was knock on the door leading to the bath. She turned her head in the direction of the sound as Kiyoko's reflection morphed back into Rin's own reflection. Rin turned back to see the child's reflection gone and gave a sad pout because she wanted to know more about the second soul living in her body even though she probably wouldn't know much.

"Rin, may I come in?" asked Sesshomaru-sama

"Yes." Rin stated not taking into consideration that she still had that sad look on her face and that Sesshomaru would get concerned once he saw it. She was so far in her thoughts she didn't hear him sit next to her and frown, though a millimeter of an inch, in concern for her. He wanted to ask her what was wrong but reframed form doing so. He waited until Rin spoke and when she did it shocked him.

"Sesshomaru-sama I just finished talking to Kiyoko your older sister." Her voice was soft and unsure as to how he would react to this knowledge. She looked into his eyes when he did not respond and she got nervous for his eyes widen in shock then became hard unreadable even to her. She started to fidget a little but soon his cold gaze became unbearable to her so she ducked her head under the water. She stayed under there long enough to calm her nerves then came back up for air to be greeted with her kimono handed to her by Sesshomaru. She grabbed and quickly put it on while Sesshomaru remained silent. Rin felt uneasy with his gaze on her but kept it to herself. As she got out of the bath she heard him ask her a question.

"How long have you been able to talk with her?" his voice indifferent as ever

"Just recently though I have been able to hear her voice but it was usually whisper." Rin replied

"Hn"

Rin remained silent as she walked toward the door with Sesshomaru not far behind her. They both walked in silence to the garden. When they reached the gardens it was silent the birds had stopped chirping, the flowers no longer had their glow and the garden itself seemed to be in a state of fear as though it knew what was about to happen. However it still calmed Rin's troubled soul as she ran to the pond and walked into it to get to the newly blooming lotus blossoms. Her giggled filled the garden and seemed to bring the garden back to life. The birds started to chirp and the flowers got back their glow but the human woman and the demon lord knew that it would not last.

Sesshomaru in that moment knew that he would most likely not get another chance so he walked over to where Rin was and held her tight then kissed her neck like a husband would do his wife. He next placed his chin on her shoulder and breathed in her scent. Rin in response sighed in content and leaned into him. The moment was perfect and nothing but the garden and little Kiyoko whose reflection was smiling at the two knew about this moment and decided to leave it alone.

….

Nephira lunged for her father's throat but he dodged and knocked her back. She slammed into the wall but got back up and attacked again and again until she managed to take chunk out of her father's side. Anubis released a hiss in pain. He stumbled back and growled at his daughter. He knew then and there that he had to deal with Nephira harsher than he intended to. He summoned his chains of skulls and bound his daughter. The chains wrapped themselves around her throat, waist, bound her arms behind her back and then attached themselves to the walls. She in return snarled and tried fighting against her bonds but failed they were too strong for her in her wounded state. So she could only glare at her father.

"Why? Why do you keep me here?!" yelled Nephira

Anubis remained silent as he walked over to her and embraced her. She struggled but soon relented to the embrace. Tears began to flow from her eyes as she started to howl in pain. Anubis could only hold her in a form of comfort. His own tears falling silently as he stared into the walls of his mate's tomb. He listened to his daughter's heart wrenching cry but said nothing for he knew nothing would console his child now.

After ten minutes he pulled back and looked into her eyes. They were red and puffy but most of all full of pain and hatred with the desire for revenge. He in turn only shook his head and got up to located something to eat. He heard Nephira curse him but he remained silent and concentrated on locating food.

As Anubis left Nephira was left with her thoughts. Her mind raced as she wondered what would happen to her daughter's soul now that it no longer has a body to go back to. She thought about Rin and the unknown third soul sealed within her body. The soul that never had a chance to grow she wondered how she would get that soul out also. Her thoughts soon wondered to Kai her true soul mate. The one she betrayed by mating InuTaisho and baring his child. She hoped Kai would stay away from InuTaisho until Apophis was taken care of but she knew he would not. She smiled as she figured that he would be hunting her ex mate down by now. Her smile faded as she thought about Horus and his role in this entire mess.

Everything was fine until he decided to make a deal with Yama and bring her ex mate back to life. Though it is not permanent until he kills Kai it still worried her for part of her soul was still bound to him. Her heart began to ache at the thought of Kai's death. She remained deep in her thoughts until a scent she did not want to smell came into her nose and filled her senses. She felt the chains that bond her disappear and she fell onto her hands and knees in order to catch herself. She heard a laugh and that voice.

"Now this is how you should be Nephira. Kneeling in front of me like a good servant or good wife." Said the voice

"What do you want?" Her voice harsh and colder than the coldest nights in winter as she looked up to see the last being she wanted to see ever again. "Apophis."

He smiled that reptilian smile of his and began to speak. "I only wanted to see my beloved queen."

"You mean slave."

He only smiled in response to her. He glanced around and frowned. He hated this place it reminded him of awful peaceful times. Of times when chaos was sealed away and peace came to realms. He snorted in disgust about the whole thing. His dark smile returned as he remembered the birth of Nephira and how her power would lead him to the glorious return of power and chaos.

"Apophis, what do you want?" Nephira's callous voice brought him back to the present.

He glanced her way before speaking. "I was just thinking about how you would return me to my former glory with the help of that human girl with that dog demons son."

"You stay away from them!" She got up and lunged for his throat. He faded but his word s chilled her to the bone.

"Remember Nephira the third of the chaos creatures you found is still residing in the human girl's body. It only takes the removal of Kiyoko's soul and my signal to let that creature take over Rin's body and destroy everything you love, including that annoying dog demon Kai."

Nephira stood there shock and fear. She quickly ran to the doors leading into the tomb but could not open them when she pushed and slammed her body against them. She screamed in frustration for she could not get out little did she know that her father heard the entire conversation and was heading to the castle that Kai resided in. he hoped that he got there in time to warn InuTaisho's sons.

Finally finished this chapter. Sorry it took me long time to post this.
