Will 3rd person point of view

It was getting dark and the team was still in the forest. Will was on point. As the amount of light slowly decreased Will activated his night vision. The rest of the team had to attach their floodlights to their helmets to see.

"Will," Omega called. "Scout ahead and find a clearing, we need to set up camp."

"Yes sir." Will replied and increased his pace. His team slowly disappeared behind him.

Will walked for about 10 minutes and still found no clearing. Instead, the forest seemed to get thicker as he kept moving forward. After another 10 minutes he decided to turn back. As he turned, he heard a faint sound on his audio filters. He froze. He turned up the sound. "Is that what I think it is?" He asked himself. He listened hard.

"Jamie!" he heard faintly. There was more yelling but he could not make out the rest.

Maybe they didn't have to sleep out tonight, they could attempt to hold out at someone's house. Will made a mental note of where he was standing and started following the noise. All of a sudden, he heard lots of blaster fire. He turned to the direction of his squad and sprinted towards them. "What did you guys do now?!" Will said to himself.

They were caught by surprise. A pack of animals that looked like Annobas ambushed them in the thick forest. Sin didn't know where they were, but he knew they were surrounded. He started randomly firing in the direction he thought they were at.

"Sin behind you!" Omega called out.

Sin quickly spun to face one of the animals leap at him. He quickly slammed his blaster towards its face as hard as he could. He heard a satisfying yelp of pain and finished off with a few bolts to its torso. He heard another try to creep up behind him but he quickly fired a few shots at it to scare it off. He paused to look over at his teammates. Omega had one trying to chew on his left plastoid forearm plate. And he was firing away with his DC-17B using his free arm. Will was almost surrounded, he was trapped against a tree and forced to use his DC15A as a bat. He kept his ground, but he was going to get overwhelmed.

In the time spent on checking on his teammates, Sin got tackled by one of the animals. His sickly feeling started coming back. As the animal attempted to claw at his armour and helmet, others started to join him. Sin struggled to get free but felt an abnormal crunch on his left shoulder. He screamed in pain. All of a sudden, the animal on top of him was launched off. The others retreated from will but held their ground. Sin went unconscious.

Omega had just thrown one of the animals that was biting his arm. Then he heard a loud boom. The animals turned towards it and slowly fell back. Seizing the moment, Jay tossed a thermal near the animals. Boom! In shock, the animals retreated into the forest.

Omega, still in combat mode, turned his attention to the man who had just saved Sin. The man had a rifle and aimed it at him.

"Don't you dare!" He heard Jay warn. Jay leveled his 15A at the man's head.

"Drop it or he dies!" The man yelled.

"Drop it or get put down!" Jay counter proposed.

"Wait!" Omega yelled, finally coming to senses. He removed his helmet. "Hey, we are flesh and bone, don't shoot."

He signaled Jay to lower his rifle. He obeyed.

"We need a place to hold out for the night, our friend is hurt, can you help us?"

The man looked over at Sin and Omega. "No." The man said gruffly. "Get out of here."

The man walked away.

Omega ran over to Sin and started shaking him.

"Sin, you okay? Wake up!"

Sin didn't respond, even when Omega pinched him in the neck.

"How is he?" Jay asked.

"I don't know," Omega replied. "But he is bleeding out. We have got to get him somewhere safe to patch him up."

"We don't have anywhere to go sir, and Will hasn't reported back."

"Actually," Will's voice broke out. "I found a place we might be able to stay at. From what it looks like, there is a farm outside the forest in that direction." Will pointed towards the direction he came.

"Who are the inhabitants?" Omega asked.

"Humanoid species. It's our best hope."

"Yeah, we just met one," Jay said. "He didn't like us."

"We don't have a better option." Omega stated. "We are going to have to settle down there for the night." He picked up Sin and slung him over his shoulder. "Lead the way Will."

They walked for about 10 minutes before reaching the farm. When they got to the house, the lights were off. Omega passed Sin to Jay and scoped out the place with his 15X.

"Doesn't look like anyone is home." Omega said.

"There is movement in there though," Will said. "I can see it on night vision."

"So, who's gonna knock?" Jay asked.

"Will," Omega declared. "Knock on the door, ask for help. Remove your helmet and clip your weapon."

"Eh, last time I did that, we had to blow up a bar…" Will pointed out.

"I'll cover you this time."

Will thought about it for a few seconds before saying "Eh, what the hell." He walked up to the front door and removed his helmet and clipped it to his belt. He knocked. "Hello?" He heard motion in the house, and a bit of whispering. Finally he heard light footsteps come up to the door and open it.

It was a girl, about 19 years old. She was gorgeous. She was a Caucasian with silky brown hair and hazel eyes. She stared at him wide eyed. Will snapped out of his phase and started to speak.

"Hi. Me and my friends need a place to stay for the night."

She was about to reply, but was cut off by the swearing of a man and a cocking of a rifle. Will saw him. He backed up off the porch.

"Dad!" The girl called.

"Go back inside!" The man ordered his daughter. "I told you get the hell out of here!"

"Wait! Our friend is injured!"

"I don't bloody care!" The man exclaimed. "I'm giving you 3 seconds for you and your friends to scram." The man started to count down "Three!"

"Wait!" Will reached for his blaster.

"Two!"

"You don't want to do this!" Will felt for the trigger.

"One!"

All of a sudden a blue bolt ripped through the rifle. The man dropped it in shock.

"Zero." The familiar voice of Omega relieved Will. His 15X was leveled at the man's head. The man raised his hands in surrender. "We need a safe place to stay. Our friend is hurt and needs medical attention. Let us stay, please."

The man stared into Omega's visor in fury. Omega didn't budge. He looked as if he were ready to shoot the man dead on the spot.

"Fine." The man finally replied. "You can stay in the barn. Do not come into the house. If you do, I will cut you down."

"Understood." Omega replied and motioned the team to go to the barn.

Will looked over at the man's daughter who was peering out the window at him. They made eye contact for a few seconds, then the girl left the window. Will was relieved that they found a place to stay. Sin was badly hurt, and he wouldn't have been able to make it if they didn't get shelter here. "We lost Thresh, Carter, Razor and Auto." He said to himself. "We are not losing you Sin."
