After taking out two out of the four HYDRA agents, Steve was on a bomb that was heading towards New York. The HYDRA agent that was flying it was torn out of the seat by Steve and took his place. Steve flew around the giant plane, dodging the bullets and rays of energy that was shot towards him. He went behind the plane and flew back into where the bombs were originally. Steve got out and retrieved his shield before finding Johann Schmidt.

When he got to the control room, Steve quietly made his way to the captain's seat, and behind him was Schmidt. He turned around just in time to dodge the ray that Schmidt shot at him and make a hole in the plane.

"You don't give up, do you?!" Schmidt asked over the wind.

"Nope." Steve answered before running at the red man.

Schmidt landed most of the hits on Steve, but Steve threw him back and Schmidt hit the seat, knocking the controls, and the plane began descending downwards very fast.

Steve and Red Skull fought on the ceiling, and Schmidt knocked Steve away from him and was able to get back to the controls and put the plane on autopilot, which made Steve crash to the ground as Schmidt grabbed his pistol.

"You could have the power of the gods!" Schmidt yelled as he shot. "Yet you wear a flag on your chest and think you can fight a battle of nations. I have seen the future, Captain. There are no flags."

"Not my future!" Steve replied as he lunged and grabbed his shield.

He threw it Schmidt, and it hit him, sending him flying into the generator, knocking the blue cube out.

"What have you done?" Schmidt questioned as he grabbed the cube, "No."

The cube glowed and sent out shimmers of lights, and above Schmidt, space appeared. But then something happened to him, and he screamed before being sent off into the space. Once the light was gone and the cube dropped to the ground, Steve grabbed his shield and went over to the captain seat and saw that the plane was heading to New York.

"Come in, this is Captain Rogers. Do you read me?"

"Captain Rogers, what is you-"

"Steve, is that you? Are you all right?" Peggy questioned.

"Peggy! Schmidt's dead." Steve exclaimed.

"What about the plane?" Peggy asked.

"That's a little bit tougher to explain." Steve replied.

"Give me your coordinates, I'll find you a safe landing site." Peggy ordered.

"There's not going to be a safe landing. But I can try and force it down." Steve said.

"I'll get Howard on the line, he'll know what to do." She responded.

"There's not enough time. This thing's moving too fast and it's heading for New York." Steve replied, "I gotta put her in the water."

"Please, don't do this. We have time. We can work it out." Peggy begged.

"Right now I'm in the middle of nowhere. If I wait any longer a lot of people are gonna die. Peggy, this is my choice." Steve said before aiming the plane down towards the water, "Peggy?"

"I'm here."

"I'm gonna need that rain check on that dance." Steve told her.

"All right. A week, next Saturday. At the Stork Club." Peggy replied.

"You got it." He responded.

"Eight o' clock on the dot. Don't you dare be late! Understood?" She asked.

"You know, I still don't know how to dance." Steve said as the plane approached the water.

"I'll show you how. Just be there." Peggy retorted.

"You'll have the band play somethin' slow. I'd hate to step on your-"
