Mikomi Takahashi Chapter 10: Meet the Grandparents, an inuyasha fanfic

Chapter 10: Meet the Grandparents

Saturday, April 9th 2016, 8am

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. Mikomi's hand came out from under the pillow and went to her night stand to turn off the evil alarm clock, but it was not there, Mikomi growled dangerously. Mikomi grabbed a pillow and though it at her computer stand but the Beep, beep, beep, beep continued so Mikomi got out from under her red blanket with dog prints on it and saw her father with a devious smile on his face and the evil alarm clock in his hands.

"I thought that I thrown that evil noise making thing out" Inuyasha just smiled and said "I heard it ringing in the garbage" "note to self, take out batteries before throwing it away" "time to get up princess" Mikomi glared at her father "first papa GET OUT OF MY ROOM" Mikomi chased Inuyasha out of her room and shut her door.

20min later Mikomi came out in a red t-shirt with a puppy on it that said 'I don't do mornings', blue jeans, white socks and red and white running shoes. Inuyasha looked at his daughters choice in cloths for today, smiled and said "you don't do mornings" "let me think uuuhhhh yep I don't do mornings" just then the phone rang, "I'll get it" said Mikomi, she walked over to the phone, picked it up and said "hello city morgue, you stab them we slab them"

Kagome laughed, "uh hello, is Inuyasha Takahashi there" said the person on the other line "oh sorry he can't talk right now" "why" "he's in a dead sleep" "WHAT, WHAT HPPENED TO HIM" "He pissed off my mother" Mikomi said smirking while Kagome just shook her head "put you mother on the phone KNOW" "ok" Mikomi handed the phone to her mother "it's for you" Kagome took the phone and held it to her ear "hello Kago-"

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY SON" "Izayoi?" "How do you know my name" "it's me Kagome Higurashi" "Kagome?" "Yea" "Where is my son" "he is ok Izayoi, actually his is sitting down right here" "but the other girl said th-" "that was Mikomi, she was just joking, she didn't know who you were" "ok, can I talk to him" "yes, here he is" Kagome handed to phone over to Inuyasha "it's your mother" Mikomi stopped laughing "his mother, uh oh".

"Hi mom" "oh Inuyasha your alive" "and kickin, how did you get this number" "Miroku gave it to me, he said that you moved, how did you find Kagome?" "Well we just sorta bumped into eachother at the mall" "are you two back together" "yes we are" "oh that's great, so when will you two get married and when can your father and I expect grandchildren" "mom!" "What"

"Kagome and I just got back together like 2 months ago" "and you haven't called me in over two months Inuyasha" "sorry mom, it's just that a lot has happened in over 2 months" "what happened" "well first I found out that I have a daughter with Kagome an-" "you have a daughter" "yea her name is Mikomi" "Mikomi, isn't she the one who told me that you were dead asleep" "ya but she was just joking around" "can I talk to her" "shear" Inuyasha handed the phone to Mikomi.

"Hello" Mikomi said into the phone. "he's in a dead sleep?" "sorry, I did not know that you were papa's mother, if I had known I would never had said that" "it's ok, so how old are you" "15" "and Kagome told Inuyasha about you 2 months ago" "you can't blame mama, she was just scared when she found out that she was pregnant with me, she thought that she was doing the right thing, though I could have acted differently than I did when I found out" Mikomi said, remembering how she reacted.

"What did you do?" "Well… I yelled at mama and papa, said things that I regret, went out to unsupervised parties, drinking alcohol" "is everything ok between you's know" "yeap things have been going grate, except for my boyfriend breaking up with me and a certain boyfriend steeling bitch" "MIKOMI" Inuyasha yelled. "Sorry papa" "can you put your father on the phone" "shear grandma" Mikomi handed the phone back to her father "hey mom" "grandma, I think I can get use to that"

"I know what you mean, when Mikomi first called me papa I was so happy" "oh, can you tell me your address" "it's 248 sunshine line" "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine you make me happy when skies are grey" sang Mikomi, Inuyasha laughed "was that Mikomi" "yea it is, so why do you want the address" "because your father and I just entered Shikon City, we should be there soon" "you and dad are in Shikon City?" "yeap so see you soon" and the line went dead.

"Izayoi is coming?" asked Kagome "yea and they should be here in 15min" answered Inuyasha "I need to get dressed and so do you Inuyasha" then they had a quick shower 'together', Kagome changed into a green spaggetti strap shirt and blue jeans, Inuyasha changed into a red t-shirt and dark blue jeans, while Mikomi put the few dishes there was in the dish washer than had some hunny nut cheerios.

15min later there was a knock at the door "I'll get it" Mikomi called to her parents, she walked to the door, looked through the peep hole and saw a male Inu Youki with long silver hair tide into a high pony tail, amber eyes and looked to be about 40 but Mikomi knew that he was older than that, beside the demon was a woman with long black hair, brown eyes and also looked to be around 40. "Hello this is the Higurashi's house of drugs, how my I help you" said Mikomi, "MIKOMI" came her parents voices "what" "you know what" said her father, Mikomi could hear laughing from outside.

Mikomi opened the door to the people outside, her grandparents, she looked at them crossed her arms and leaned against the door way "so, you two are my father's parents" the Inu Demon answered with a smile "yes we are and you must be Mikomi" "the one and only, so what's your name" "my name is Inu Tashio and this is Izayoi" "ya we talked on the phone" "I heard" "It was just a joke and I did not know that my father's mother was on the other end of the line"

"It's ok and no harm was done" said Izayoi, Inuyasha snuck up behind Mikomi grabbed her and thrown her on his shoulder while she screamed "papa!", "Hi mom, Hi dad" "hello Inuyasha" said Izayoi "come on in" Inuyasha's parents walked in and Inuyasha shut the door, Kagome walked into the room "Hi Izayoi, Hi Inu Tashio" "my Kagome you look like you haven't age more than 3 years" said Izayoi as she hugged Kagome "well having a baby with demon blood in her can do that to ya"

"Hello I'm still here, can you please let me down now papa" said Mikomi, Inuyasha looked at Mikomi and said "why hello there Miko, how did you get up here" "we'll let me see. Maybe my father put me up here" Inuyasha sat her down "did I?" "uh ya" just then Bandit came in the room to see who was the new visitors, he saw Inu Tashio and Izayoi, he growled at Inu Tashio just like he growls at Inuyasha, Inu Tashio growled back and Bandit ran behind Mikomi whimpering.

"Scaredy cat" Mikomi said to Bandit then said to her grandfather "sorry about Bandit, he thinks he is the Alfa dog, but he's harmless" "harmless that dog is evil, you should have called him demon" said Inuyasha "papa if you would give Bandit a chance you two could become good friends" Bandit growls at Inuyasha as if saying 'never', Inuyasha growls back but Bandit keeps on growling "Bandit that is enough" said Mikomi, Bandit stops and sits beside Mikomi like an angel.

"Keh you don't fool me Bandit" Bandit looks at Inuyasha innocently "you're a good boy arnt ya Bandit" Mikomi said petting Bandit. "So Kagome how have you been the past 15 years" said Inu Tashio "I have been doing good, Mikomi keeps me busy" "hey" said Mikomi. "would you and Inu Tashio like a coffee" "that would be wonderful thank you Kagome" they all sat at the Kitchen table, Bandit pawed Mikomi and wined "oh sorry Bandit I forgot to feed ya" Mikomi got up and pored Bandit some dog food in his dog bowl sat down "stay" Mikomi said, she got the other bowl and pour some water in it than sat it down with the other bowl "ok Bandit dig in" and that is what he did.

"How long have you had Bandit?" asked Izayoi "cense I was 5" "did your mom get him for you" "no my daddy did" "I thought that you just found out about Inuyasha over 2 months ago" "Inuyasha is not my daddy he's my papa" "I'm confused" "two years after I was born mama met a man named Hojo, they got together and I always called him daddy" "what happened to Hojo?" Izayoi asked.

Mikomi was quiet so Kagome spoke up "when Mikomi was seven we went out to the movies, when we were on are way home a drunk driver ran a red light and hit us, Hojo was driving…..he was gone by the time the ambulance arrived" "I'm so sorry" "Its ok grandma you didn't know" Izayoi smiled at Mikomi "you look a lot like your father Mikomi" "ya, mama says that I act like him too" "rilly" "you might as well say that Mikomi is another Inuyasha" said Kagome "is that so" "the only difference between them is Mikomi's black bangs and her tail" "so Mikomi what do you like to do" asked Inu Tashio "singing, acting, ice skating, bowling, rollerblading, and mostly anything that involve music"

"You sing?" "Mikomi even rights her own songs" said Inuyasha "rilly now, maybe you could show us your talent" Mikomi says shyly "I don't know" "come on Miko, you are rilly good" said her father "ok" Mikomi got up and went to her room grabbed her guitar and music journal then came back out, everyone was in the living room sitting on the couch. Mikomi sat on the love seat "ok, so this song is called 'Listen to your heart'" "I haven't heard you sing that song for a while Miko" said Kagome, Mikomi smiled then started playing her song.

Kagome and Inuyasha applaud then Inu Tashio and Izayoi "That was amazing Mikomi" said Inu Tashio "it was nothing" said Mikomi "Miko that was not nothing, you got a great talent" her father said, Mikomi smiled. "Was that one of the songs you wrote" asked her grandmother "yes it is" "could you play another one" "shear" Mikomi thought for a moment "this song is called 'Any man of mine'"

Mikomi stood up, when she sang Kick, turn, stomp, stomp, then you jump, Heel to toe she would do the moves to it.

Again everyone applauded, Mikomi bowed "thank you thank you" for the next couple of hours Mikomi played her songs. "you are rilly good Mikomi, you sing as good as your father" said Izayoi. Mikomi smiled, a tint of blush on her face "thanks grandma". Inu smiled "Me and Miko talked about her being the opening act at my next concert" he turned to her father "I also wanted to talk to you about that. I want to get back to singing. I have been working on a few songs"

"ok, we can talk about that later and I'll call my compony and get two contracts written up" answered InuTashio. Mikomi looked at her grandfather "Two contracts? Why would you need two contracts for Papa?" she asked. InuTashio smiled "Well we will need one for your father and one for you" Mikomi's eyes went wide and pointed at herself "Me?" "Yes Mikomi one for you. Of corse I will have to talk with your parents"

"I don't know, Mikomi still has school" said Kagome. InuTashio nodded "I understand that, and Mikomi wont miss any school. Right now she will be playing in Inu's concerts that we can work on having them on weekends and during summer vacation. With in a year we could get Miko a guest on a show" Mikomi's eyes widen "I would love to be on the Queen Latifah Show one day" "you could, but first Inu you will need to have a new album ready, how long will you need?" Tashio asked his son.

"abut a month, I already have 3 songs ready. I know if I work hard at them I know I can get them done and Miko you and I have to work on a duet" Mikomi smiled "when do we start" "wait" everyone looks at Kagome "I'm ok with Inu going back to singing, it's your passion Inu. But Mikomi is still a teenager, there has been other teen singers and most of them have done drugs or got into serious trouble"

Inu puts a supporting hand on her shoulder "I understand what you are saying Kag but I promise that Miko will be ok, she will have me there and like my dad said she will only be performing in my concerts and on the weekends. It will take time for her to adjust but she will do fine" "Ok but what about the press, you know what they could do. When Miko gets more popular they will do anything to dig up stuff about her"

Tashio spoke up "it's ok Kagome, I will do my best at making sher that anything Mikomi doesn't want the world to know be kept in her privet life" Kagome sat there thinking about it then said "Ok, Mikomi can do this but only on the weekends and she can perform during spring break. And what is most important is the she doesn't miss any school because of this" Inu and Tashio nodded in agrement. Mikomi jumps out of her chair in excitement "YES, if gonna be a professional singer" she starts doing a happy dance. Her parents and grandparents start laughing at Miko's funny dance.

A knock sounded at the door "I forgot, my drama class was coming over" said Mikomi, looking at the clock. "Your drama class comes over on weekends?" asked Izayoi "were practicing for are play and our teacher Ms. Yura is always saying that the play needs to be perfect so we asked mama and papa if it was alright to practice here and they said yeas. I will tell them to come next weekend" "you don't have to Mikomi, we don't mind" said InuTashio

"you shear" "yea" "ok" that afternoon Mikomi and her drama class practiced for the play, Inuyasha, Kagome, InuTashio and Izayoi would laugh at Rumplstilskin aka Dean and Dean would stay in the act while complaining about the laughing which only made them laugh more.
