Kate: Alright, I'll defiantly take your criticism into account. But I would like to just point out that Rosella's arrogance and egoistic personality comes from the fact that she really has yet to find her 'battle match' and all of her victories have really helped built up her ego and... well I'm going to let the story explain that, as for her father, I'll also let the story explain that but thank you for the criticism again and I also thank you for the compliments so please I hope you enjoy this chapter
justus13: Thanks for the compliments, I like the verbal fight as well and Raven will be making more appearances later on now that she's shown up, but nothing super important yet so just be prepared and enjoy the chapter!
Or-lan-do626: It would have hurt less, but when have I been known for subtle dramatics?
GB: Thanks bro, heres the next one
ahsokalo: Alright, I'll try and answer this... Yeah they did have a close encounter fight and Richard does need to work hard to reach that fatherly level since he really only had batman and the very little memories of his father from the circus and how long till the end? We got some time actually we have to go through a connection process, Damion has to be introduced to all of the titans with slade, we got a ball, we got a dun dun dun AW HELL NO moment, we got the end of the world and titans kicking ass so I say we got some time! XD

I'll Make A Man Out Of You

Rosella woke up early that morning as usual as she looked out her window at the rays of sunlight that barely lit the horizon. The Titans and Rosella arrived at Wayne manor the day before, about 2 weeks before the ball started so Rosella could meet and get to know her father which... didn't really go as well as she expected. Rosella looked down at the Casablanca Lily she received last night and touched it lovingly. "Well, I guess you're half to blame for how that first meeting went." Rosella said to herself as she went to get changed into her usual uniform before going to the roof to meditate in the early sun rays. What she didn't expect to see was another person on the roof already meditating. Rosella walked up next to him and sat next to him on the edge of the roof in her meditation position.

"Early riser?" She asked the man sitting next to her. Richard stiffened when he heard a voice next to him almost jumping out of his meditation off of the edge of the roof. "I guess a warning would have been nice..." She said with her head down. When the man next to her didn't say anything she continued talking. "Thank you for ripping out my spine yesterday, and I don't mean it sarcastically, I needed a good butt kicking... all of the victories have been getting to my head lately and I guess I've just been soaking up all my victories." She said as she looked off into the sunrise.

She looked over at Richard and saw that his blue eyes were closed to her. She nodded to herself before going back to look at the sunrise. "I used to wake up ever morning with my mother at this time to meditate... She was really my closest and only friend... I was so alone on Azarath and all I had really was my mother... I guess that's why I got so defensive when you said demons lie... my mother never lied to me, she was my best friend..." She said as she closed her eyes letting the sun warm her face. "I guess you have been saying the truth though... most demons lie... demons have lied straight to my face, but I could always tell that deep down they hated my ever being. The only person they never lied to was our Queen. She is the most lovely demon I have ever meet... she is so kind to ever single one of her subjects and she takes care of her friends as if they were family. She helped made me who I am today and I love every bit of her for doing that... That's why I will always serve her and do everything she asks me to do... well almost everything." She said letting off a small, sad, laugh at the end of her sentence. She turned to look at Richard. "Arne't you social? Well, I've said what I've wanted to say to you and I've gotten everything off my chest. Know though that I don't like apologizing, and this has taken away a lot of my pride apologizing so don't expect to hear it again... but thank you anyway... and thanks for the lilies... they're my favorite." Rosella said as she went to walk away.

"You know I learned to meditate like this because a dear friend of mine who is a demon taught me how to do it?" Rosella stopped in her tracks as she turned to look at Richard who finally decided to speak. "She taught me that keeping control over my anger would help me to become stronger and would help me protect the ones I love most... I guess when I saw you and felt your demonic energy I was reminded of her and I lost my head when I realized it wasn't her." He said simply. He turned his head so he could just see over his shoulder. He looked into Rosella's eyes before saying, "I know demons like to meditate... join me."

Rosella turned about in her tracks as she went to go and sit next to Richard as she began her meditation as well, this time staying on the ground next to Richard. "Friends?" She asked.

"If you consider not ripping each others throats out when one of us enters a room friends, then friends." Richard said with his playboy smirk. Rosella cracked one eye open to look at him before laughing slightly.

"You're still the rudest human being I've ever meet." She teased.

"And you're still the most arrogant demon I've ever meet." He replied teasingly before they both fell silent and meditated on the roof together.

"So what you're saying is, in theory, if you can harness that much of energy you can use it to manipulate the time sphere where you're fighting you make yourself that much faster than your opponent or to make your opponent that much slower?" Rosella asked over breakfast looking towards Richard.

"Yes, in theory, but it wouldn't last any longer than a minute or so. The energy would also need to be containable which makes it the biggest problem." Richard said. "It would be like trying to contain the blast energy of a nuke in a persons pinky." He said as he prepared a cup of coffee for himself and went to put a tea kettle on the stove.

"Well, what would you saw the energy could be equivalent to?" Rosella asked as she sat down by the counter on a bar stool.

"It would need the power of about a 3.5 billions of gallons of water rushing through a mill at 600 miles per hour to fuel the electrical tank which will change the magnetic field of the battle area which we could then use to manipulate time. I think I have the machine figured out, but we can't get water to move that fast... I've already asked Tempast and he can get water up to that speed but it would be less than a gallon of water at that speed." He said as he sat across from Rosella explaining his theories as he waited for the coffee and tea to be ready.

"Well, it's good to see the two birds are finally getting along." Bruce said as he walked into the kitchen in his robe and pajamas, Alfred following behind him.

"Good morning master Wayne, I'm glad to see you finally getting along with a woman who has an intellect larger than a squirrels." Alfred said to Richard before turning and nodding respectively towards Rosella. "Mistress Rosella."

"Haha very funny Alfred, you know how your jokes humor me." Richard said as he went to pour himself some coffee and Rosella some tea.

"Good morning Mr. Wayne, Mr. Pennyworth how are you?" Rosella said nodding to each of them in turn.

"Please call me Alfred." Alfred said smiling at Rosella. Rosella nodded her head.

"So I hear you two were talking about Richard's hopeless method for time manipulation." Bruce said taking a seat next to Rosella. Richard handed Rosella her tea before turning to Bruce.

"She was curious and she could handle the information... she's a smart girl and doesn't tell me how hopeless the idea is." Richard said accusingly.

"Oh the idea is hopeless." Rosella said simply. "But if you could get that much water moving that quickly it is very possible that could occur." Rosella said as she took a sip of her tea nodding to Richard in thanks.

"See it's possible! We could get Cyborg on the experiment to." Richard said pointing to Rosella.

"Well what do I hear? If princess over hear says time manipulation is possible, then I'll be damned it's possible." Shadow said as he walked into the kitchen followed by Starfire and Mystique. Shadow patted Rosella's head as he walked past her. "Mornin' Watson."

"Sherlock." Rosella said before turning to Starfire and Hikari. "Morning Auntie Star, Hikari." Rosella said with a smile waving towards the two. Starfire came and hugged Rosella.

"Oh dearest Rosella is it not the loveliest day?" Starfire said twirling around while hugging Rosella.

"It is Starfire, the sunset was gorgeous this morning and there wasn't a cloud in the sky." Rosella said with a small smile when Alfred walked into the room.

"Would it be too much of a trouble for the young Masters and Mistresses to re-locate themselves to the dinning hall so I may prepare breakfast?" He asked.

"Of course Alfred, come on guys." Richard said as he grabbed his cup of coffee before going to walk side by side with Starfire and Rosella, catching up with Starfire. They all sat down at the dinning room table as Alfred walked around serving people coffee and seeing what they would like to eat for breakfast. Twenty minutes later Cyborg joined the group with Mystique.

"What is this madness?" Cyborg asked as he looked around the table his eyes landing on Richard, Rosella on his right hand side. "Do my eyes deceive me or are you two sitting next to each other and haven't tried to remove each other's spins?" Shadow choked on his coffee.

"Pardon?" He asked.

"Long story." Cyborg said.

"Yup, we're cool." Richard said. "I guess we both needed to blow a little steam due to personal reasons, but she is still arrogant."

"And he is still rude." Rosella countered as she took a sip of her tea. Cyborg got a laugh out of this.

"Just like old times-" He stopped after a moment realizing what he just said. There was a moment of awkward silence that was, thankfully, broken by Alfred coming in with their breakfasts. They all sat down and began to eat what they ordered when Cyborg and Mystique told Alfred what they wanted for breakfast. Beast Boy slept well into the afternoon and woke up just in time for lunch.

Rosella was walking around Wayne Manor trying to find her way around when she came across a library. Inside the library she saw Bruce sitting down at a desk going through some paper work. Rosella went to turn around when his voice stopped her movements. "Rosella what brings you to this side of my home?" He asked her putting down his papers. Rosella turned to him and walked back into the library towards him.

"I was just walking around, trying to learn the layout I guess... I was just trying to get lost in the mansion." She said as she went to go and sit across from him. "It's a beautiful mansion... but it must get lonely living in such a large place with just you three." Rosella said.

"It's not all too lonely... We are known for having a ton of parties, but I can understand where you're coming from. There are very few people who actually care about me and who I care about in return, and even less know who I truly am. But something about you tells me you know of my darkest secret." Batman said.

"You are living with Nightwing." Rosella said with a faint smile.

"You pull back Pride and Prejudice on the 4th row all the way on the back wall behind me." He instructed. Rosella shook her head.

"Maybe some time in the future... but right now I don't wish to abuse your trust. That is probably one of your major secrets and I don't wish to disturb that." Rosella said simply. Bruce nodded his head.

"I understand." He said. "Would you like me to give you a tour around the mansion?" He asked her nodding towards the door.

"Oh do not worry about that Mr. Wayne-"

"Call me Bruce." He stopped her.

"Oh alright then Bruce..." Rosella said fixing the name before continuing her sentence. "You don't have to worry about me I like the idea of walking around aimlessly on my own, plus I wouldn't want to take you away from your work." Rosella insisted.

"Alright then Rose- is it alright if I call you that?" Rosella nodded. "Then Rose, I suggest you go down this hall and make a left. Walk down that hallway and go down the third corridor on the right. Enter the 2nd door on the left and... well what's inside might interest you." He said looking her in the eyes as he gave her the directions. He gave her a knowing wink before sending her off. Rosella nodded giving Bruce a small smile before running off down the halls to the location Bruce gave her. When the library was empty Bruce smiled to himself as he went back to work. "God I feel old."

Rosella did as Bruce had told her as she went to the door he specified. Rosella cautiously walked in eyeing the area around her. It looked like a more high-tech version of the training room in Titan's Tower. Rosella walked into the room curious when she saw who was in there. Training off in the opposite corner of the room by the moving punching bags was Richard. He was fighting his way around all of the punching bags with an acrobats grace. When he took down the final punching bag was when he realized Rosella was in the room. "Wha-"

"Mr. W- I mean Bruce gave me directions to this room when I told him I was exploring the mansion." (*1*) Rosella said as she walked up to Richard, looking around the training area as she went.

"How-"

"I haven't been standing here the entire time, I'm not a creeper. I came in the last thirty seconds." She said as she finally reached the training area Richard was in. She stopped by the edge, sitting down on a fallen punching bag.

"Are you-"

"Reading your mind?" Rosella asked arching an eyebrow. "Have you ever thought you were just predictable?" She asked with a small smirk that reminded him of Raven's smirk whenever she knew she was right. Richard smiled softly.

"That's never really crossed my mind." He said taking a seat next to her, but not too close to her because of his smell. "But you can read my mind right?" Richard asked.

"Not only can I read your mind, but since we have a connection I can feel your emotions much more precisely to the extent that I could probably describe how you feel right now." She said matter of factly.

"How do we have that connection?" Richard asked.

"You stuck your hand into my body and pretty much pulled out part of my spine. I'm pretty sure some of my bone has evaporated into your pores or something. All I know is that a part of me has entered you. Maybe even my blood has entered you through a cut in your hand or something." She said saying it as if it were nothing. Richard found her tick. She was good at hiding it, but it was there, Richard could see it. It was the angle of her body, the way her eyes twitched quickly and the way her arrogant, almost royal atmosphere that demands attention switched to a defensive one. What could have been seen as a way to get more comfortable was a twitch to her seeing as her body took a more defensive position then it was before. She always sat down, perfect posture, arms down, legs crossed lazily, now her legs were rigidly crossed, arms covering her chest and she was slightly hunched over and it looked like she was trying to act like she didn't care about it in an aloof way that reminded him of Bruce when he was avoiding questions. He also noticed there was a slight twitch in her eye that was barley visible and her attitude change also reminded him of himself. He kept this in mind as he contemplated the reason as to why she would lie to him. He might be over analyzing her tick, she might not know what she's talking about or he could be in over his head.

"Alright then. I guess I'll see you around seeing as I just finished my training." He told her as he got up a little uneasily as he looked down at the girl. She frowned slightly before untangling from her defensive seating posture looking down at the floor.

"I understand you might not trust me now... and I wouldn't blame you seeing as I pretty much showed up in your room and help initiate a fight I probably shouldn't have started... but I swear on my life that one day you will trust me because you're an interesting person... my Queen told me that you were a kind person and that she cared deeply for you, more than she probably should have for a mortal..." She said as she brought her knees up to her chest to lie her head on them. Richard could tell this wasn't part of her tick and that she was telling the truth. He didn't know whether he could tell because he was such a good detective or because of their mystery bond. She was still young... she could not have known how the connection happened. "My Queen... my dearest friend told me that the first person on Earth I should meet are the Titans... how she spoke so fondly of all of you and I can understand now why she liked you all so much." Rosella pulled up her hood and began to walk out of the training room.

"You may continue training now... don't mind me, just remember my declaration." She turned to look at him when she reached the door, he could just see her small smirk under her hood as she said, "One day you will trust me just as much as I trust you."

"How could you possibly trust me when less then 24 hours ago I ripped out your spine?" He asked confused.

"Simple." She said as she turned fully around to face him, hand on her hip in a stance that screamed 'Bitch please'. "Your like an open book, it's easy to read you." She said as she turned to leave with a wave of her cloak she disappeared behind the door. "SEE YA BOY BLUNDER!" She yelled from down the hall causing Richard to feel a cold hand grip around his heart at the memory. He sat down in the middle of the training room silent until the cold grasp of her memory was removed from his heart.

1) I was just curious to ask, when you read stories with OC's who do you imagine they sound like, whether it be yourself, a friend of yours, an actress, or a character from a t.v. show or movie or cartoon or whatever you've previously watched. Just curious as to who you imagine Rosella to sound like I feel like she sounds like Brave Raven so she does sound like her mother, but with less of the ice tell me what you think and I hope you enjoyed the chapter~
