I opened up the package that Carlisle picked up for my new identity. Inside were a birth certificate, a social security card, a learner's permit, and a credit card. I was hesitant about the last, but Edward convinced me that it would be convenient if I wasn't with one of the Cullens I could still get something if I needed it. I agreed to the card reluctantly.

The school documents were filled out and I had nearly the same classes as Edward, just in case. The only class I didn't have with him was French, which I had with Alice.

When deciding what my last name would be, it was controversial to say the least. Let me tell you the story.

Everyone was sitting in the living room. I was on Edward's lap, Carlisle and Esme were sitting beside each other on one side of us, Alice and Jasper were on the same couch as us, Rosalie sat as far as possible from me as possible, and Emmett sat in between Rosalie and the rest, but it still wasn't as from me as Rosalie would like. We were talking about a few things, like where to go on a mini-vacation before school started. I didn't really care so I stayed out of that.

We also talked about what name I would take for my new identity, Cullen or Hale. It was generally decided that I would have the last name Hale because I had blonde hair. However, the problem was Rosalie. She didn't want the ihuman/i, aka me, to have her last name.

"Why does she have to have my last name?!" Rosalie screamed at everyone.

"Rosalie, it's the easiest option. She has nearly the same hair color as you and Jasper, and she is dating Edward. Wouldn't it look even odder, or even suspicious, if they had the same last name and are together?" Carlisle was trying to be the voice of reason.

Rosalie steamed for a minute. "Fine." She got up and walked out. Emmett sighed, shook his head, and followed her out.

Edward had been lightly rubbing circles on my back, keeping me calm. I was on the verge of crying and didn't want anyone to know. However, that is hard when living in the house with vampires. I knew she didn't like anyone easily, but did she have to be so mean? Edward leaned down and started kissing my temples and then working his way down to my jaw and then my mouth. Only then did I notice that where he kissed me felt wet. When did they start falling? He lifted his fingers and wiped away my tears.

"Don't cry, my love. Just ignore Rosalie. I do."

I felt a sudden burst of joy, no doubt because of Jasper, and smiled and slightly laughed at what Edward had said. I turned around when Carlisle began to talk again.

"Alright, everyone. The family meeting is over." He stood up and walked the few feet over to where Edward and I were sitting before leaning down. "Are you alright?" I nodded a yes. "Okay." He turned at looked at Edward. "Maybe it is best if you take her out somewhere and have a little fun."

Edward smiled largely. "I think that is a magnificent idea!"

He stood up with me in his arms before taking off to my room. We were followed by Alice, who was followed by Jasper.

"Alice, can you please help her find something to wear?" Edward asked.

She lit up. "Of course!"

We walked over to my closet, still followed by Jasper. As Alice started to sift through my clothes to see which would be ideal for what Edward had planned, Jasper stared at me for a little before talking.

"I'm just curious. How did you come up with your new name: Isis Elena?"

I smiled before giggling a little bit. "Well, Isis came from an ancient Egyptian Goddess, and the name sounds cool and powerful." I heard laughing coming from Alice and rolled my eyes. "Well it does."

"I know. I was just laughing because you were getting animated."

"Animated?"

Alice rolled her eyes. "Yes, animated. As in, you were jumping around like you were pretending you had a sword or something in your hand."

I blushed. "Oh." More laughing ensued. "Anyways, the other name, Elena, is from the movie 'The Mask of Zorro'. The character is Elena Montero. I just like the character, and the name sounds pretty."

I could tell Jasper was on the point of laughing, but not yet enough, so I thought of something that was just really funny to up my humor emotion, and Jasper doubled over in laughter, which caused me and Alice to laugh too. Once we were able to stop laughing, Alice handed me the clothes she picked out and I headed into the bathroom to change. I put on the comfortable jeans, the purple t-shirt, pink hoodie, and my tennis shoes.

Once finished, I went out into my room again to see Edward alone and waiting for me so we could go. He had a backpack in his hand. He put it over my shoulders and I jumped up on his back. He ran out the room and down the stairs. Waiting there were Carlisle and Esme. Edward let me down for a minute. I went over and hugged both.

Esme looked at me and used her fingers to lift my head and look her in the eyes. "Don't worry about Rosalie. She's stubborn, but she'll come around eventually."

She gave me a smile that seemed criminal to not return, so I smile as big and happy as I could manage. "It's okay." She sighed and let me go and I went to hug Carlisle. He embraced me tightly before letting go and telling Edward and I to "Have fun!"

I smiled and laughed as I climbed on Edward's back. He took off and I put my head down on his back, just relaxing it there. We ran for about ten minutes when we finally came to a stop. I looked up and saw the clearing that he brought me to when we had a picnic. It was still beautiful. There were flowers and it was bathed in sunlight, which made Edward as sparkly as a million diamonds.

We had a day much the same as last time. We ate a picnic, played games, talked, and generally had a great time. After a while though, Edward got a call and we had to go home.

When we arrived home, the house was a flurry of activity. We found Carlisle and asked what's going on.

"We can't stay here any longer. The news this afternoon had a story about rapidly disappearing wildlife. There are too many vampires staying in one place."

"What are you going to tell the hospital and school?" Edward's face looked like this wasn't anything new.

"That I got a job offer in Florida, and I had to accept it right then or I couldn't have gotten it."

Edward nodded his head. I asked, "You got a job in Florida?" I just couldn't imagine them living there.

They chuckled lightly. "No dear. We're just saying Florida because we won't actually go there. It's the best way to not leave a trail."

"Oh. Okay." Edward picked me up and zipped us up to my room. The state of my room was that of someone had already gone through here and emptied it out while packing, except the furniture.

He put me down and told me to find something comfortable to wear. I walked over to my closet. Once I opened the door, I just stood there. All of it was empty except for one outfit. My guess is Alice left one outfit for me to wear and put the rest in boxes. I walked over and picked it up before heading into the bathroom.

I washed up as quickly and as well as I could before putting on my outfit, which was really comfy, and walking into my room. Edward was sitting on the end of the bed waiting. He held up his eyebrow at my blue jeans, halter top, and high heels. I spun around with my arms held out showing him the total view of my outfit.

"I don't think high heels are what I had in mind when I said comfortable."

I sighed and rolled my eyes. Men just don't understand the high heel thing. "Well, this was the only thing in my closet and the shoes I had on before are already gone. My guess is Alice played a huge role in that part."

He laughed. "Most likely, yes. Sounds like something she would do."

I joined in his laughter while he picked me up and carried me down to the living room in the blink of an eye. Waiting were Carlisle, Esme, Alice, and Jasper. My guess is that Jasper wouldn't leave Alice right now. Alice spoke first.

"Don't worry. You're clothes and shoes are fine. I was right. That outfit is absolutely gorgeous!"

I smiled. "Of course you're right! You're Alice! Also, thank you for choosing the outfit!" I went and hugged her.

"You're welcome." She smiled and walked away with Jasper.

I was standing there looking at Carlisle and Esme with Edward's arm around my waist. His hand was going up and down in a soothing motion.

"You and Edward are going to be driving in his car. He'll explain more once we are on our way," Carlisle told me. I nodded my head before I hugged him and Esme tightly.

They were out the door in the next second. I turned to Edward and looked at him questioningly.

"Come on; they'll be expecting us on the road." He gave me my backpack again before picking me up and carrying me out to his Aston Martin. He was in his seat one second later after he closed my door. He pulled out and sped away from the house. I opened my bag to see snacks and drinks before putting it in the floor board behind me. We were on the Interstate in no time.

"So where are we heading?" I asked eventually.

Edward smiled and told me, "It's a surprise!"

He smiled and winked at me before I leaned against him, wondering where we were going.
