"That concludes our last classes for this week," Louis announced to his adult students, "Thank you all for attending, and I hope you all have learned what you wanted; class is dismissed," he happily bid, and watched as the people exited the building.
Louis' grin widened once he was done cleaning up the studio he rented for his miming class, now he could finally go home to spend time with Kyung; it's been a few weeks since they've started dating, and he was luckily able to get Lee's approval after solving the rubiks cube within the first day of being Kyung's boyfriend. Grabbing his coat, the young man whistled as he made his way out the brick building, making sure to shut everything off and lock the door before starting on his way to the max train stop. Without warning, something or someone forced Louis into an alleyway just beside the studio, knocking the wind out of him as he was pushed against a brick wall. He let out a pained yelp when the back of his head hit the bricks and his extremely sensitive back scraped the stones, opening his dark eyes to see who had ambushed him.
"Remember me?" Raimundo snarled, sending a right hook straight to Louis' jaw.
The wind dragon sent multiple punches to the Frenchman's face as he held Louis by the throat, slamming his head back into the wall and giving him a major shiner on his left eye. Raimundo then tossed Louis to the concrete ground, huffing and puffing furiously before getting ready to kick the male lying on the stone floor. Louis quickly tried to create an invisible wall to block the kick, but couldn't focus enough to stabilize the solid illusion, giving Raimundo the chance to send a hefty kick right into his side, then his stomach, and began to kick harder on Louis' back when the mime turned over to try and crawl away. Louis coughed, sputtered, and even gagged as he was beaten to a pulp, eventually becoming limp when Raimundo dragged him back up to his feet by the shoulders; his entire body was wracked with pain to the point of where it was crippling.
"You're still just as weak as before," the other man growled, and threw him back so he hit his head against the wall one last time before dropping to the ground again; he was now sitting with his back against the bricks that were stained with a bit of his blood, and his posture slouched like a ragdoll as he began to fade in and out of consciousness.
After glowering down at Louis' beaten body and disdainfully pelting the incapacitated man with the bowler hat that fell off his head, Raimundo scorned, leaving the alleyway with the hood of his sweatshirt covering his head and upper part of his face.
"Lee, I'm starting to get really worried about him," Kyung argued while holding her iPhone to her ear; it was nearly seven o'clock, and Louis still hadn't returned home since the afternoon.
"Okay, Jack and I are on our way, just stay there," Lee instructed calmly and gently. With that he hung up, and looked to his lover. "Critter thinks Louis is in trouble," he stated as he got up out of the chair he was currently sitting in. "Let's go check it out," Lee sighed deeply; he wanted just one date without interruptions, and frowned a little before kissing Jack's lips. "Come on, Babe."
"Alright, fine," Jack huffed, and got up so they could exit the cafe, and get to his car.
Meanwhile, Kyung paced nervously around the house, occasionally staring out the large window anticipating Jack and Lee's return, or at least any sign of Louis.
"Gosh dammit," Kyung hissed through her teeth, "I know I should do what I've been told, but I can't just sit here..." She mumbled to herself, taking a moment to consider taking a chance for once before deciding on leaving, retrieving her car keys, pocket knife, and canister of pepper spray so she could leave with a bit of safety in her pockets.
Eventually she pulled up to the building, and hopped out of her car, locking it before searching for her boyfriend. Calling out for him, she noticed that the building was locked and closed, meaning that he wasn't inside. Kyung then searched down the nearest alleyway, and gasped in horror when she saw Louis lying against the wall, bleeding and badly injured.
"Louis!" She cried, and rushed over to him. "Louis, please say something!" Kyung begged while taking a hold of his limp hand, not wanting to further hurt him in his broken state.
"Kyung..." He whispered, blood dripping from his swollen bottom lip. Louis was in a daze and completely out of it, having no idea what was going on or what was happening; everything around him was a blur slowly going black as he struggled to stay awake, even though he wanted to block out the agony that plagued him.
"Hang on, I'll get you home," Kyung assured him, tears welling up in her eyes, and gingerly helped Louis off the ground so that he leaned on her shoulder before helping him to her car and driving back to the house.
Lee and Jack eventually drove up to the driveway and entered the house.
The blonde called Kyung, noticing that the house seemed empty. "Sweetheart, where are you?" He asked lowly, worried about the whereabouts of Kyung and Louis.
"Up here," Kyung called back, yet her voice was hushed. The Asian woman stepped out of Louis' room to stand on the balcony of the second floor; staring down at them, appearing absolutely forlorn, and her clothes had a bit of blood on them from helping Louis out of the alleyway she found him in.
Lee immediately rushed to Louis' room, his eyes analyzing the injuries that Kyung was desperately trying to heal as the Frenchman lay unconscious on his bed. "We need to get him to the hospital now," he informed Kyung and Jack calmly. "He might have a heavy concussion, and possibly internal bleeding judging by the bruises on his body."
"Right, I'll go get the car," Jack nodded, and sprinted back out to his vehicle.
At the hospital, the three waited anxiously in the lobby as Louis was being examined. Kyung was sitting on a chair, slouching with her head hung low so that she stared sullenly at the linoleum floors. Lee was on one side of her, hugging the Asian close to him, and assuring her that Louis would be okay.
Sooner or later, a doctor arrived in the lobby and approached them. "Your friend is alright," he informed them with a smile. "He is asleep; the injuries aren't too bad. There is a lot bruising, a few sprains, and a slight concussion, but he should make a full recovery after a couple weeks of TLC," he concluded, and glanced over to Kyung after looking up from his clipboard. "He is on the second floor, room twelve."
"Thank you," Kyung quietly said to the doctor, and made her way to Hospital room Louis was in without hesitation.
She stopped right at the slightly ajar door, and entered, making sure not to make too much noise as she stood next to the bed he was sleeping in. Kyung had nothing to say, but gently took Louis' bandaged hand in hers, staring down at him with a sorrowful expression as a few tears dripped from her eyes.
Lee kissed her forehead and pulled away as he stood beside her. "Want some time to yourself?" He asked her softly, and looked at the man on the bed; he appeared peaceful and warm now that he was out of harm's way.
Kyung simply nodded in response, and kept her gaze upon Louis as Lee walked out of the room. Louis gently squeezed Kyung's hand in his sleep, murmuring her name along with something about pie. Kyung tilted her head to the side a bit when she heard him mutter, yet smiled a little knowing he was sleeping peacefully, and entwined her fingers with his. Pulling up a nearby chair, she got comfortable, and closed her eyes.
"We need to find out who did this," Jack stated to Lee, his eyebrows furrowed as he held a stern face.
"We will ask him when he is better," Lee nodded to Jack after he stepped out of the room. "But I might have an idea as to who might have done it."
"Who do you think it was?" Jack inquired while arching a brow.
"I think it was one of the Monks," he claimed, keeping his voice low so that Kyung wouldn't hear. Moving his bangs behind his ear, he watched the heterosexual couple from outside, leaning against the wall and pulling Jack towards him. His arms wrapped around his waist as he pressed his forehead against the taller man's chest. "I don't know how to deal with this…" Lee said to Jack with eyes full of sadness.
"We'll find a way," Jack assured Lee while wrapping his arms around him. "But for now, it looks like we'll need to lie low so that none of us get ambushed again."
"Sounds good, after Louis gets out of the hospital, I think we should stay together," he agreed, and got on his toes and kissed his lips. "Drive Kyung home?" He questioned the other lightly. "Or do you want me to?" Lee didn't want this baby sister to be alone, and certainly not when they were possibly being targeted.
"I'll drive her home," Jack volunteered, "I remembered that Louis said something about her once," he recalled, remembering how nearly three ago Louis had told him about spending time around Kyung. "I guess I should spend a bit of time with her too since technically she's my little sister as well," he shrugged.
Lee nodded his head, and kissed him again. "I am going to go tell her it's time to go home," he informed, and re-entered the room. Walking up to Kyung, he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Darling, let's go home. Get some rest, and get the room ready for him when he comes home, okay?"
"Okay," Kyung responded, her tone flat as she stood up from the chair and stretched a little after letting go of Louis' hand.
But before she left, Kyung quickly leaned down, and kissed Louis goodnight. Turning away, she followed Lee out of the room, slowly closing the door behind her.
Two days later, Louis was discharged from the hospital. Since then, Kyung was his nurse; she even wore a knee length white nurse dress, nurse hat, and white shoes as she took care of him. The results of the cause of Ashley's death were also revealed to them a few months earlier when they were watching the local news, allowing Kyung to give a sigh of relief when the cause of the young woman's death was actually arsenic poisoning. Luckily, the police confiscated what they found out was a poisoned bag of sugar on the night of Ashley's death, and allowed them to go get a new bag that didn't have the poison in it.
"I brought you one of the strawberry faygo cupcakes I made," Kyung grinned at Louis as she walked into his room, holding a warm mug of tea and a small plate with a cupcake that had what looked like shards of broken glass and blood sticking in the butter cream frosting. "Don't worry," she assured him, "it's not really broken glass, it's caramel with cherry juice~"
Louis smiled, and gently accepted the cupcake and mug. "Thank you, nurse," he replied with a wink. "How are you doing?" Louis asked, patting the spot beside him so they could sit and cuddle together.
"I'm doing just fine, thanks," Kyung replied, taking a seat next to Louis on the bed before gingerly kissing his bruised lips. "How are you feeling today? Need anything else?" She concretely inquired.
"I am feeling fine just by seeing you," Louis answered with a smile on his face as he lightly kissed her lips and cheek. He pulled back and finished his cupcake, licking his lips as he hummed in delight. "You keep getting better and better," he complimented.
"Thanks," Kyung grinned back, happy to know that she's improved in her baking and cooking overtime. Suddenly the doorbell rang, making her sit up in response. "I wonder who that could be," she mused, and carefully got off the bed before scurrying to the front door.
Upon opening the door, a middle-aged couple stood on the porch; they bared a slight resemblance to Jack, only without the fiery red hair, and the woman didn't have ruby red irises like the man.
"How may I help you?" Kyung greeted politely; they appeared to have come from higher status.
"I am Donovan Spicer, and his is my wife Lucia Spicer," the male greeted. "We have been informed that our son, Jack Spicer lives here," he explained while looking down at her; she was rather small compared to him. "May we speak to him? It is of the utmost importance."
"Yes, your son is currently upstairs in the room at the end of the hall," Kyung told them. "Please do come in," she welcomed them while stepping out of the way to let them enter. "May I get you anything?" She offered kindly.
The man shook his head. "No, I just wish to see my son," he declined, and went up the stairs with his wife.
Kyung casually followed behind them as they went up to the second floor, but as she returned to Louis' room, she quickly noticed the caution sign hanging up on Lee's door.
"Wait! Don't go in there!" She yelped as Jack's father opened the door, shrinking back into Louis' room to avoid the conflict. "I didn't do it," she muttered, and closed the door.
The man didn't listen as Kyung tried to warn him, and opened the door. "Jack we need...to...talk..." He began to say, but trailed off when he walked in on Jack and Lee having an "intimate" moment. He instantly walked out, and closed the door behind him with a reddened face. "Was that a man or a woman?" He questioned his wife who just shrugged her shoulders. Luckily she was by the other man's room; she got the warning unlike Donovan.
"My apologies," Kyung sheepishly said to them, poking her head out from behind the door. "I was unaware that Jack was preoccupied at the moment."
Inside of Lee's room, Jack remained completely frozen as he loomed over his lover, absolutely mortified by his father walking in on them. It seemed like forever before the albino finally pulled out and got off Lee, grabbing his clothes off the ground so he could get dressed.
Lee laid on the bed and glared from going unsatisfied. "Fan-fucking-tastic," he growled out and, sat up to face Jack. "Your father?" Lee asked, completely unamused and frustrated because he wasn't able to spend quality time with his lover in over a month. Reluctantly, the blonde got dressed as a woman and put his makeup on with a frown.
"Yeah," Jack sighed while rubbing his flushed face, and took a moment to compose himself.
"It is fine just a little it a shocking," Lucia stated warmly, patting her husband slightly dazed husband on the back. "Let's go down stairs and wait," she suggested, and took her husband by the tricep to go downstairs into the living room.
"Understood," Kyung replied with a bow of her head, and watched as Jack's parents went back downstairs. "I'm not sure whether I should go downstairs with them, or just stay up here..." She said to Louis.
"I'd leave them be," he suggested.
"Shall we meet your parents?" Lee inquired to Jack.
"Yeah, let's just see what they want and get it over with," Jack grumbled, and held out his arm for Lee to grab.
"Let's, because I would love to get back to our business," he said to him with his arm wrapped around the others, and pulled him down into a small sweet kiss.
"The sooner the better," Jack smirked, and led the way downstairs.
Jack's parents watched as their son and Lee approached them in the living room, both parents already somewhat skeptical of the blonde transgender male.
"Uhm… Mom, dad, this is Lee Woolf," Jack awkwardly introduced to them. "Lee, these are my parents, Donovan and Lucia."
"Pleasure to meet you, Lee," Lucia greeted warmly to the taller "woman."
Lee smiled and politely bows a little in respect. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well Ma'am." Lee respectively greeted back.
Donovan looked at the two, and frowned slightly. He wasn't sure about the blonde next to his son. 'Repulsive,' he thought, and looked away from the young couple.
"I can't tell you how thrilled I am to know that my baby has found someone special to him," Jack's mother grinned gleefully, elbowing her husband since she noticed the man's frown of disapproval.
"Mom!" Jack whined slightly, his blush returning at being referred to as a baby.
Lee stared at them, not used to such family gatherings. He hid his face in Jack's arm, feeling very shy at this moment.
"Lee's shy when it comes to meeting new people," Jack simply explained, turning a little to wrap his other arm protectively around Lee.
"Oh I know how that is," Lucia proclaimed with a dismissive wave of her hand, "you used to be like that all the time, Jack," she recalled.
"So tell us," Donovan interjected after clearing his throat, "what have you been up to, son?" He asked.
"Well," Jack started, rubbing the back of his head slightly, "I've been making upgrades to my robots," he answered, "but only with some of their programming, I've just made a few adjustments to their previous installments."
Lee slowly moved from his arm and looked at them all as he clung to Jack tightly. He really didn't want to deal with Jack's parents, feeling very uncomfortable.
"Oh, how fun~" Lucia smiled at her son. "Why don't we sit down and catch up?" She suggested, and gave a soft glance at Lee. "Would you be a dear, and make some tea?" She requested politely, seeing how uncomfortable the blonde was being in the presence of her and Donovan.
Lee nodded. "Anything in particular?" He asked them.
"Just some oolong tea, if it isn't too much trouble," she replied. "Donovan, would you like some tea?" Lucia asked to her husband.
"Coffee; black, four sugars," he simply responded as he analyzed Lee up and down.
"Want anything?" Lee asked Jack.
"I think I'll just have some oolong tea…" Jack responded in an unsettled tone, wincing slightly as he watched his father scan Lee; he was worried that they knew Lee was really a man. "Anyways, let's go to the family room," he suggested, and led his mom and dad out of the living room and out to the foyer.
"My, this house is rather cozy," Lucia commented, trying to distract herself from the awkwardness as she gazed around.
Lee smiled as she listened, and made the coffee. He then walked over and placed it on the coffee table in front of Donovan, then served the two mugs of oolong tea to Jack and Lucia. Once he was done, he sat down beside Jack on the other couch in the room.
"This is awkward," Lee bluntly stated, and looked at them, his hand knitted together with Jack's.
Donovan simply cleared his throat again as he took a sip of his coffee, Lucia wringing her hands slightly.
"So, Lee," Jack's mother began to speak. "Tell us a bit about yourself, I'd like to get to know you better, and how you met our son."
Jack winced a little bit again; his parents didn't know about his history with the Xiaolins or Wuya, all they knew was that he was a self-proclaimed evil genius who had the desire for world domination.
"Well, I'll give you the basics," he calmly began with a smile. "I am really a male who is genderfluid or transgender as others call it, I am twenty one, I met Jack two years ago here in Oregon, and we met at a cafe' near a shop called New Seasons, and he was sitting at the back table and looked really tired, so I bought him some coffee and we talked, soon enough we hit it off." He told them, lying a bit about how they met.
"Transgender, eh?" Donovan responded, his brow wrinkling a bit. "So you're really a man? Which technically makes my son homosexual or bisexual?" He inquired, wanting a bit of clarification.
"Donovan," Lucia nudged her husband a little, not wanting to offend the blonde.
"Your son is bisexual, and yes I am a man," Lee confirmed. "And if you have something to say, please say it, I would rather you say it to my face than behind my back," he added, staring Donovan in the eyes, challenging him.
Jack tensed up as he watched his father and Lee size each other up, even Lucia was becoming a little uncomfortable, and she excused herself from the room to "powder her nose." Once Jack's mom left the room, Donovan inhaled deeply before exhaling.
"You're dating a faggot..." his father bluntly stated to Jack. "Where has he been all your life?"
"I have been hiding from him," Lee interjected with a genuine smile, holding up his hands and made Spock's signature hand gesture. "Live long and fuck off," he bid sweetly and got up to make himself a small snack.
Donovan couldn't help but let out a small snicker when Lee made a Star Trek reference, confusing Jack since he was expecting his father to be furious.
"So you're a Star Trek fan," his father presumed with an illusive smirk. "I'm quite a fan of it myself," he added.
"Glad to know, have you seen the New Generation?" Lee asked him, his eyes turning towards him. He could tell that this man had a dry sense of humor.
"Of course I have," Donovan replied, "what kind of Star Trek fan would I be if I hadn't watched it?"
Lee glanced back at the older man. "In the geek world, you would be a dweeb," he claimed to Donovan, and came back with Miso soup.
Donovan snickered again, he was a little glad that Lee understood his dry sense of humor.
"So… You're not mad that Lee's actually a guy?" Jack hesitantly asked his dad.
"No, son," Donovan replied. "He seems like a fine fit for you," he supposed, "but your mother and I will need some time to get to know him a little better."
Lee grinned at Jack, and patted his knee. "Guess you are not all bad luck, huh?" He said in a chipper manner.
"You two are so precious~" Lucia cooed at them.
Jack smiled ever so slightly, happy that his parents were starting to slowly warm up to Lee.
"Speaking of getting to know each other better, how about Lee and I go to the salon?" Lucia suggested. "It'll be my treat while Jack spends some quality time with his father," she said to the blonde.
Lee snapped his head towards Jack's mother. "Salon you say?" He beamed. "You pay for that, and I'll pay for lunch?" Lee suggested.
"Sounds fantastic," Lucia beamed, "when would be a suitable time to go?" She asked. "We could perhaps schedule it tomorrow so I can set up the appointment," Jack's mom suggested. "I'm sure that you and my little Jackie would prefer to have your private time back."
Jack's face flushed beet red when Lucia mentioned his and Lee's previous activity, but was a little relieved to know that his parents were going to leave for the rest of the day.
"That would be nice, Jack and I have been busy for a while and well today was are only free day we had…." He told them in a soft tone, but wasn't going to say anything about the sex because he was still rather irritated about the interruption, and still a bit hot and bothered.
Donovan stood up. "Come on my dear, lets leave the two alone. We can come by tomorrow and pester them," he bid with a wink towards his son and Lee, knowing what they were going to do once he and his wife were gone.
"Remember to use protection, you two," Lucia called to them before closing the front door behind her on the way out.
Jack didn't hesitate to lock the front door once his parents left the house, and eagerly wrapped his arms around Lee's waist.
"Now that they're gone, shall we get back to what we were doing before?" Jack inquired while looking down at the other male with a smirk.
"Are we going to use this protection your mother talks about?" Lee asked him as he turned around in his arms and embraced his handsome lover.
"I'll most likely have to," Jack chuckled, "she'll nag me if I don't," he joked, and tilted Lee's head up a bit to give him a kiss.
Lee smirked, and slipped out of Jack's arms. "Whoever gets undressed first gets to top!" He declared, and bolted upstairs.
Jack beamed, and chased after Lee back to the room they shared.
"Looks like his parents are gone," Kyung noted since she heard the front door shut; she was cuddling with Louis at the moment while they watched some more horror movies.
"I ain't going out there," Louis chuckled while shaking his head a bit, and held Kyung closer to him. "And you're staying right here."
"Course I am," Kyung giggled, "I don't like getting involved in family matters… Not even when my parents used to live here," she added.
"From what I hear from families, it is best not to," he nodded in understanding, lovingly nuzzling her.
"True," she agreed while nuzzling him back, "which is why I prefer not to really tell my parents a whole lot about what's going on," Kyung explained. "My adopted mom is a bit of a weirdo, my adopted dad can be a real jerk sometimes, and my adopted brother… I've actually got no problems with him," she shrugged.
"Parents are like that," Louis replied. "At least that is what I have noticed."
"Yeah, but the only reason why I never really partook in many family matters, is because it's almost always the same thing between my parents," Kyung explained. "It's always arguing with no results at all… That's why my brother had to move out when he could. He had to get away."
Louis nodded again, knowing that she was not the type to engage in such things. Yes, they fought themselves every once in a while, but they always ended up laughing afterwards, kissing and making up. Then with the little frustration they had left, they watched movies.
"Well, let's just stay up here until Jack's parents leave for good," he proposed, and kissed her temple.
"Right… Plus, I don't really want to end up overhearing Jack and Lee go at it from the other room while I'm out in the hallway," Kyung nodded, smiling widely as there was the cracking sound of bones fracturing from the movie they were watching. "That sound, however, never ceases to amuse me," she giggled, and nuzzled Louis' chest.
"I think it sounds like popcorn..." Louis commented, narrowing his eyes at the screen. "And I have no idea why I think that."
"It kinda does," Kyung laughed, "scenes like these remind me of when I used to take Anatomy and Physiology," she sighed blissfully at the memories. "Those were such fun times, dissections and all, they were my favorite~" Kyung continued to say as they watched one of the characters get butchered by the killer.
"Wanting to look at dead bodies for a living?" He asked her lightly as he played with the bald spot on top of her head. Louis really loved that spot on her head, he planted a small kiss there, and placed his head on top of hers, and continued watching the movie.
"Actually," Kyung replied, "that's one of the things I'd like to do. Aside from being a possible web designer; being a coroner, butcher, or undertaker would be a great job," she grinned, her eyes becoming slightly heavy from getting comfortable. "A few of my family members and my teachers agree that being a coroner or undertaker would be a pretty good job for me, even though they seem pretty unsure of my preferences in future careers… But it looks like I'll have to stick with web designing, since Portland State University doesn't have any courses for the other stuff."
"Well, just do what makes you happy," Louis told her softly with a smile on his face.
"Right then," Kyung lazily nodded, shifting a little since she wasn't used to lounging around in a dress, even if the hem went down just above her knees. "I hope that Jack and Lee get things straightened out with his parents," she suddenly spoke. "I feel bad about saying it, but maybe I shouldn't tell my parents about our relationship; it's not like there's anything wrong with it, it's just… Well, my family is just plain complicated sometimes. I love them more than I can possibly say, but I'm not all that excited about the idea of how the meeting would go."
"That is okay, I understand," he nodded, and watched as the woman on the TV was ripped apart. They both chuckled and smirked at the dead female. "White people are so stupid, you'd think that when you start hearing noises that you'd get out of there, but they have sex instead, a black man would say "fuck you bitches," and run away," Louis ranted. "But sadly, the black man always dies first, then again most male characters die because of a woman."
"Dude, tell me about it," Kyung laughed along with him while pitifully shaking her head. "What's even stupider, is the fact that the idiots survive half the time! For goodness sakes, it's like they encourage people to act idiotically in situations like that!"
"America… You can cheat death with just your looks," Louis dictated in a dramatic manly voice; it was deep and dumb sounding. "All you need is the bitches~"
"Fucking America," Kyung scorned, snickering at Louis' dramatic tone. "Honestly, I don't hate all of the people here in the U.S., it's just the government is total bullshit. They're acting like spoiled children, and even some children act more mature than the elders in congress."
"Agreed, more popcorn?" He offered, handing her the bowl.
