The Advent91: I know it has been such a LONG TIME since I updated this story and promised the Wave portion but I have not yet completed it, and so I give you something else called the Advanced Genin Saga. Now I will be honest I did not think of this short saga beforehand because I am still working on the still pending official title for the Wave portion of Naruto's Dragon Ball: A Hero's LEGACY. I knew that it was taking too long to get the next saga out so I decided to give you guys this as a token of apology, and I think it's really cool to which I hope you guys really enjoy. Plus with this it gives me more to add to the upcoming saga after this one!
Once again I sincerely apologize for the long wait because I am torn between my other daily activities besides fan fiction, but also between Naruto's DmC: Devil May Cry (still working on next update that is coming soon) and this one. Many fans of Naruto's DmC have been begging for an update and I am working on it I just want to get this story up to date because this story has not been updated SINCE LAST YEAR!
Also I would like to let everyone know that I decided to give Naruto's fighting style a made up name of my own that I like to call the Dragon Fist Style. His fighting style is supposed to be like Goku's but the thing is there is no official name for his style of fighting because apparently Dragonball never uses a real world fighting style, not because of its Ki techniques, but simply just because Toriyama isn't a martial artist having little knowledge of it outside of general understanding of what he saw or read. Read this from Yahoo answers and it was a well answered question too. I know some say he uses Kame style or Kaio style but from what I see he uses just a whole bunch of mixed combat that I cannot tell what it could be, and that is why I am naming Naruto's fighting style taught to him by Master Zen.
Now please enjoy this short saga and yes it is SHORT because one or two are short chapters but at least it is something to enjoy, right? Plus its four new chapters with this one included being a complete new saga.
Advanced Genin Naruto Saga: Start
What had happened within the coming weeks of Team 7 after their Survival Exercise? Well they had not gone out on any missions that lead away from the village but mostly inside or just outside its walls. That was because these were simple D rank missions that were assigned to all beginning Genin teams so as to gain experience, and ultimately in a way prepare them for what was to come even if the missions seemed pointless. Ok so maybe most of them almost seemed pointless like helping with grocery shopping but things like babysitting, but when it came to things like painting the fences, and even picking up trash littering the water seemed pointless. However with every D rank mission there must be a reason behind it right? All in all Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were BORED except maybe Kakashi since he seemed to be doing nothing but reading that book of his in a corner or within or under a tree.
The pay was good if not great in the end but it was just so boring! Naruto was itching for a fight and even though he was not one who went off picking one he was hoping that Sasuke would train against him in a spar, but then even if that didn't happen he made up for it by sparring against a Shadow Clone in simple hand to hand combat. Now Naruto didn't picture something like this happening when he signed up to become a ninja but none the less he told himself that it had to be expected because they were not going to let them run wild outside the walls on their first day. It was another D rank mission complete for the day as Team 7 walked away from the Academy amongst its grounds passing by children that were going to become ninja's one day.
Also during the past week Naruto had managed to perfect a new technique that did not require his Chakra but his Ki, and it took him a grueling three days to get it down, but none the less it was worth it, and he just couldn't wait to use it in battle when the time came when it was needed. In fact if he used this technique spamming it over and over again in battle he would drain himself of his energy quickly, but with further training there was no doubt those side effects would become irrelevant. Just not anytime soon…
"Well done team well done," Kakashi praised as he had his book in his face.
"Kakashi, when are we going to get a real mission?" Sasuke asked.
"Whenever Lord Third feels that we are ready for such a mission, and especially if I feel you three are ready."
"We're ready." Naruto said.
"You tell yourselves that now but there is a reason for these boring D rank missions."
"Can you tell us?" Sakura asked.
"Well they may be nothing but the simplest of tasks but they also prepare you. For instance babysitting,"
"I hate babysitting," Sasuke recalled with bad memories already implanted in his psyche.
"In that mission you watched and looked after the target making sure that no harm came to it whatsoever. Now imagine when we receive as escort mission you three will already have the experience except that it won't be a baby of course but a VIP."
"Oh I see!" Naruto said with a small smile.
"There you go." Kakashi replied with an eye smile.
"Then what about doing somebody's shopping?" Naruto asked.
"Well you are picking up and delivering goods. We will receive missions to deliver documents of importance to our allies from time to time."
"Then how about cleaning the horse stables and picking weeds out of the ground?" Sasuke asked.
"Hard labor strengthening your physicality," Kakashi answered.
Kakashi brought the team to a halt as standing ahead of them with his arms crossed over his chest was a young man having long brown hair and pale white eyes, and not to mention cold eyes in fact.
"Well who do we have here?" Kakashi asked.
"Those white eyes, a member of the Huyga Clan if I am not mistaking." Sakura said.
"What is a member of the Huyga Clan doing here or should I ask a Susumeru Genin?" Sasuke asked.
That is when Naruto felt that he should have remembered something a long time ago. Something about him earning such a rank if he…
"Oh crap that's right!"
"So you must be Sasuke Uchiha then?"
"What if I am?"
"I have heard a great deal of you earning the moniker Rookie of the Year as well as your Sharingan."
"And who are you anyways?"
"I am Neji Huyga."
"Neji Huyga, also known as The Genin of Genins which is a title given to him by the village itself. The title basically says that Neji here is the strongest Genin of the Hidden Leaf Village." Kakashi said.
"And just what is the supposed strongest Genin in the entire village doing here?" Sasuke asked.
"You're taunting needs work and The Susumeru Genin has been called upon and I am here to pick up the Susumeru of your group."
"Sasuke, I didn't know you were a Susumeru Genin?" Sakura asked looking to him.
"I don't recall?"
"That's because I am not referring to you."
"Then who are you referring…?" Sakura did not get to finished asking her question as she realized looking to Naruto upon her left who was looking off into another direction whistling trying to act innocent. "Naruto…?"
"What's up?"
"You're a Susumeru Genin?" Sasuke questioned.
"I?"
"When we're you planning on telling us?" Sakura demanded.
"Well to be perfectly honest I didn't ask for it the Old Man gave it to me, and up until this point I sort of forgotten." Naruto said laughing to himself as he scratched the back of his head.
"Did YOU know about this?" Sasuke asked bringing his sights upon Kakashi.
"Well I am on the same boat…I had forgotten as well." Kakashi said scratching the back of his head in the same manner.
"So in other words you knew Naruto was a Susumeru all this time and the two of you this past week haven't even bothered telling us." Sakura said with crossed arms tapping her finger as she glares at the two.
"I was lost on the roads of life." Kakashi said with his usual excuse.
Sasuke and Sakura look to Naruto.
"I was…lost on the roads of life as well?"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, Naruto you can't go using my excuse. That entirely only works and fits my character…"
"How, Naruto?" Sasuke asked.
"And when?" Sakura asked.
"How…well I don't think I can answer that question as to when I basically earned it after passing Kakashi sensei's test with you guys."
"Why can't you answer as to how?" Sasuke asked suspicious.
Kakashi placed a hand upon Naruto's shoulder stopping him from talking.
"Well you two the reason for that is because it is something that should not be spoken of."
"In other words it's a secret right? What kind of mission was it, Naruto?"
"I can't say."
"Let it go Sasuke you are not going to get a word out of him of the details. I am sure that he was even told by the Third himself to keep it discreet, and Naruto making some sort of oath." Kakashi said.
"I find it hard to believe that you are an Advanced Genin you certainly don't look much." Neji said.
"I find it hard to believe that you can even see because from the looks of it you look blind." Naruto taunted back getting a small glare from Neji.
"You dare insult my clan?"
"Not your fellow clansman just you in particular is all I am hurting."
"You have quite the mouth on you don't you, Uzumaki?"
"And you seem to have quite the problem judging people by their cover, but don't worry one day it is going to bite you in the ass." Naruto replied with a smile and closed eyes.
"If we are done bantering then perhaps we should be on our way." Neji said turning his back to him.
"To the Old Man?"
"You will refer to him by his destined title."
"You're kidding me right, destined title?"
"Let's go…" Neji said leading the way.
"Where to?" Naruto asked as he followed.
"We are heading to the Mansion grounds where the Hokage is waiting for us."
Kakashi looked upon his remaining two students…
"Well I guess that it is just the three of us for the rest of the day."
"What about Naruto? Without him we can't operate as one." Sakura said.
"Do you really need Naruto's help with picking up a couple of trash bags and taking them to the local dump? I know I said that every mission your life is on the line but surely you don't believe that refers to simple D rank missions safely inside the village walls right?"
"Never mind…" Sakura mumbled.
"Besides with Naruto having been called all his departure has done was double both your workloads." Kakashi said with an eye smile.
"Damn you Naruto…" Sasuke thought.
"You got to kidding me right?" Sakura thought.
Naruto had just been following after Neji in total silence minding his own business with his hands within his pockets, and when they came passing the guard's guarding the entrance into the Hokage Mansion Grounds their they saw another Advanced Genin who had silver hair in a ponytail wearing glasses upon his face.
"Who is that?" Naruto asked as he followed Neji.
"Naruto Uzumaki, meet Kabuto Yakushi." Neji comes to a stop just behind Kabuto with his back to him crossing his arms over his chest. "He is the squad leader of our team."
"So you are Naruto Uzumaki it is nice to meet you." Kabuto said as he adjusted his glasses upon his face.
"So you're a Susumeru Genin as well?"
"Yes in fact I have been for about awhile now. I believe I am going on three years so far."
"So we're waiting for the old man to show up here? Shouldn't we go to his office inside the academy or something?"
"He requested for us to gather here." Kabuto informed.
"Well I do prefer the outdoors." Naruto said as he looked about up in the air with a smile.
"So, Naruto, I here that you have not been a ninja for long however you are already a Susumeru Genin which is quite impressive."
"You think so?"
"I was promoted to the rank after my third failed attempt of the Chunin Exams, Neji here from what I know was promoted to the rank months after the year of his graduation, but you became one after almost a mere week. You must be quite strong then?"
"You bet I am!"
"I am curious as to how you earned the rank."
"Well the thing about that is I can't say…"
"Oh?"
"If he can't say then obviously he completed a task that was of benefit to the Hidden Leaf Village, and if he can't say then obviously it was an order by the Hokage to keep it under wraps." Neji concluded.
"Whoa a sharp one he is." Naruto thought.
"Care to at least tell us what the rank of this mission was?" Kabuto asked.
"To be honest I don't particularly know the rank of it. A lot happened that night but I will tell you that it had something to do with preventing dire important information from falling into enemy hands, and from what I was told it could have caused the downfall of the village."
"Oh is that so…" Kabuto said with a small smile gracing his lips. "If it was to prevent information from falling to enemy hands then I reckon the mission you have completed, Naruto, was a B rank mission."
"Surely you are mistaking, Kabuto?" Neji asked looking over his shoulder.
"Problem?" Naruto asked narrowing his eyes.
"You don't look much and I seriously find it hard to believe that you completed a mission of such high category especially a B."
"I was right about you are one of those people that judge a book by its cover when you don't even know anything about that person."
"My eyes can see all…"
"Oh please don't tell me that you are one of those people that believe having a bloodline makes you that much more superior to ordinary society?"
"Let me assure you that I am not the latter but I can tell you now by just looking at you that you are nowhere close to my level."
"Oh is that right then why don't we have ourselves a little spar?" Naruto asked with a smirk forming as he brought his hands upon his hips.
"That's funny do you really think you would have any sort of chance against me?"
"Do you?" Naruto taunted with a small smile seeming to get under Neji's skin.
"Very well, Uzumaki, if you wish to be humiliated so desperately then I will indulge you." Neji said now turning Naruto's direction.
"As leader of the group I cannot allow such action here on the very grounds of the Hokage's very quarters, and besides we still have to wait for the others to arrive."
"Seriously…?" Naruto asked disappointed that he was not going to fight.
"Looks like you got off easy, Uzumaki." Neji once again said turning his back to Naruto.
"However perhaps if we move this near The Academy, I will go to the Hokage's office personally and let him know we decided to come to him, and as I am doing that you two can wait for the others in the Academy Training Field, and indulge yourselves in your little spar."
"I like the sound of that." Naruto said.
"So be it then." Neji said.
"At this time the Academy grounds should be emptied so you two shouldn't have any students getting in the way of your fight, but I ask that you two avoid killing one another."
"Didn't plan on it…" Naruto said and then whispered "Just want to introduce this jerk to my fist."
"And what about waiting for the other two?" Neji asked Kabuto.
"They will know to head toward the Academy it is one of our meeting spots. Now off we go…" Kabuto said with a smile leading the way.
When the three had arrive at their destination within the Academy Training Field, Naruto was already performing some leg stretches across from Neji who just had his arms crossed over his chest observing Naruto.
"I won't be long you two and please don't go too far after all you two are ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village, and as such are ally's." Kabuto said as he began walking his way to his destination by first exiting the field.
"I am giving you one last chance to back down." Neji said.
"No way am I going to pass up on a fight like this." Naruto said taking up his stance.
"Then this shouldn't take long…" Neji says going into his Gentle Fist stance. "Come forward!"
Naruto did not deny Neji the pleasure as he sprinted forward with a smile on his face and fire in his eyes, and upon engaging Neji in hand to hand combat his attacks were being blocked or countered, and Neji seeing an opening thrusts both his palms within Naruto's chest forcing him back through the air as the Uzumaki lands upon his feet sliding back along them before coming to a stop. Neji just stares at Naruto as if bored and Naruto not seeming to be hurt from Neji's strike as he simply stands tall once again looking across to Neji, and taking notice of Neji's stance he knew not to underestimate it now as he dusted his shoulder off as if it was dirty.
"Giving up already?" Neji asked.
"Why would I when I haven't even begun to even try."
"Even with your best you won't make much ground."
"Wow you are seriously overconfident you remind me of Sasuke a little."
"You refer to Sasuke Uchiha?"
"Who else do you know any other remaining members of the Uchiha Clan in the village because I don't?" Naruto said. "But I did know another before the massacre happened…Still can't believe it wa-,"
"Enough talk and come forward…"
"Oh come on I know what you are trying to do here. You expect me to run in there with no plan of attack?"
"From what I know he was supposed to charge in like a brash idiot."
"Let's see from what I know these guys have a bloodline that allows them to see Chakra Points inside you from what Master Zen told me, and then there is that fighting stance of theirs that is seen as the best kind of Taijutsu within the whole village. From what I can tell he is not using his bloodline right now but if he does I could be in trouble…"
"Are you going to continue to stare at me or fight?"
"Got to watch his movements closely and if I do perhaps I can predict his next attack so let's test the waters here."
Naruto once again dashed toward Neji who waited patiently in the same position since the beginning of this battle, and when Naruto reached him engaging him in hand to hand combat he parries away Naruto's right fist planning to strike his Chakra Point in his right arm to disable it, but Naruto counters quickly by catching his wrist stopping his fingers from touching his arm. Neji was a little surprised at Naruto's quick reaction time to stop his attack assuming that Naruto must be reading his movements with his eyes, and watching him very carefully. Naruto took the opportunity kicking his right foot forward for Neji's chest but Neji counters and Naruto saw how he was going to do it. He remembered the same hand he used to parry away his fist that was now quickly striking down for his approaching right foot, but Naruto seeing it quickly reverted back his foot barely missing Neji's counter strike as he quickly leaped away from Neji.
"This isn't right he is not supposed to be that good or sharp? He was watching my movements so carefully that he was able to predict my next strike. He is supposed to be a loser but here is standing his own ground against me holding his own? This isn't luck. Is this perhaps the results of Kakashi Hatake's training?"
Naruto adjusted his stance as Neji adjusted his Gentle Fist showing that he was going to get serious this time…
"Naruto Uzumaki, let us see how well you do now."
"Here we go!"
But before Neji can even engage this time wanting to be the one to move forward he was stopped when a voice said aloud…
"Neji, that's enough!"
Both Neji and Naruto looked in the direction the female voice seeing two figures standing atop in one of the bleachers with a pale skinned looking male sitting next to her having a brush in one hand, and open scroll within the other. There was something familiar about the female having that same look alike purple hairstyle that reminded Naruto of certain…crazy woman that on occasions freaked him out, and who liked a certain Forest of Death.
"She looks like…No she couldn't be related to HER!" Naruto thought as he looked at her with wide eyes.
"Sai, and Konai Mitarashi, so you two finally decided to arrive." Neji said as he was looking off to them from the corner of his eye with his arms crossed over his chest.
"MITARASHI!" Naruto almost screamed in terror.
Naruto looked at her again seeing the vast similarity to one Anko Mitarashi but she did not dress like Anko looking to be wearing black skin tight pants with pockets to house various supplies. She looked to be wearing a shirt similar to Naruto's only not having such a high collar being a zip up with a small V. To finish it off she wore blue sandals and fingerless gloves, and if Naruto had to guess she perhaps was maybe sixteen with most of all from what Naruto could also tell she had well developed…
"Hey!" Konai called out to Naruto whose attention snapped up to her face away from her chest. "My eyes are up here, Naruto Uzumaki."
"Um sorry I didn't mean to…" Naruto stuttered off with a small blush as he looked away to the ground.
"That's fine it makes a girl feel wanted and it runs in the family. So you are the one that my older sister picks on from time to time huh?"
Naruto grumbles crossing his arms upon his chest remembering all the times from time to time she would mess with him. Sure Naruto pulled pranks from time to time on the village from time to time but so much anymore, but Anko pulled "pranks" on him which Naruto saw as picking on. She freaked him out at times but there were times when she wouldn't and even had him join her for dango to which Naruto found very tasty.
"I was never aware that she had a little sister? How come I haven't seen you around before?"
"What you expect me to live near you in one of the biggest village's in the nations?"
"You got a point there, and him?"
Konai looked down to Sai next to her who was painting with his brush silently.
"Don't bother he's a freak." Konai said without shame adorned with a smile.
From a distance outside the training ground hiding just behind the bark of a tree looked to be Kabuto? Wasn't he supposed to get the Hokage? He gave a light chuckle as he adjusted his glasses and went off his merry way to fetch The Third.
Konai leaped from her position landing between both Neji and Naruto with a hand upon her hip looking between the two as Sai stayed upon the bleachers.
"So just why did you guys move here and where's Kabuto?"
"He went to fetch the Hokage..." Neji said as he looked off in the direction Kabuto left minutes ago. "Strange he should have been back by now?"
"You can't tell me that the only reason you guys came here was to be closer to the old man I mean we're all sure the old man could have made it to his own mansion by himself?"
"Don't act like you don't have suspicions as to why we are here, Konai, and just how long were you and Sai watching?" Neji asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Konai said with closed eyes with her hands behind her back.
She obviously has been watching Naruto and Neji spar against one another without them having even noticed most likely because the two were so focused upon one another, and that is when she slowly opened her eyes while looking toward Naruto's direction that froze as her gaze was upon him giving him a gentle smile. She definitely was Anko's younger sister but the only difference was that she had green eyes.
"Why is she looking at me like that?"
That is when Konai was before Naruto in front of his face making him take steps back away from her.
"Whoa! What the hell?"
"My sister told me about you, Naruto."
"She did huh?"
"Yeah, she told me how much she enjoyed creeping you out as she stalked you down the streets."
"SHE WOULD WHAT?!"
"It's a joke…" Konai said as she waved it off.
"Whew…"
Konai then grows a wicked smile just like Anko.
"Or is it?"
"Already she's creeping me out."
"I knew we were getting a new addition to the team after out last team mate who was killed in action," She said as she circled around him looking him over "But I never expected it to be you. I think this is going to be interesting…"
"Attention!"
All heads turned to the voice of Kabuto who was on the field with The Third by his side smoking his pipe of tobacco.
"Old Man Third," Naruto said.
"You will address him as Lord Hokage." Neji said.
"I'll address him however the hell I want!" Naruto retorted.
"It's quite alright no need to worry Neji. Now gather around Team Kabuto," The Third said.
"Team Kabuto?" Naruto said as Konai comes to a stop right next to him.
"The name of our squad, Naruto. All Advanced Genin squads in the Hidden Leaf are named after the squad leader of their squads hence Team Kabuto." Konai informed as she proceeds forward who decided to walk by his side.
When the remaining group of Team Kabuto came to a stop, Naruto was surprised to see The Third sit down upon the ground with the others joining him with Naruto sitting down last next to Konai as The Third blew out a puff of smoke.
"So good to be out of the office I thank you for saving me, Kabuto."
"Of course Lord Third…"
"Save him from what?"
"Paperwork, it is a Hokage's everyday enemy working at the office." Konai answered for him as she relaxed leaned back holding herself up with her hands.
"Now the reason I have called upon Team Kabuto is that I have a C class ranked mission for you, and this mission is dangerous but I have complete confidence that the five of you can complete this task."
"Thank you, Lord Third, and what does the mission involve?" Kabuto asked.
"From what intelligence tells us there a group of bandits camped ten miles out from out village walls alongside the roads attacking and stealing cargo sent to us from our allies of the Sand, and The Elders believe that it would be a waste of precious man power since at this time we have Chunin, and Jonin ninja going about missions from multiple clients. A fresh Genin team cannot be sent since most are still 'exercising' within the walls so The Elders as well as I have agreed to send a squad of Advanced Genin, and which other than the best Advanced Genin squad within our village."
"We're the best?" Naruto asked Konai surprised as well as feeling a sense of pride.
"That's right, Team Kabuto for the win. Welcome." Konai said with a smirk.
"When do we depart?" Neji asked.
"Immediately upon debrief."
"Enemy numbers?" Sai who was silent finally spoke.
"Close to a total of forty but there may be more so be careful."
"That's a lot of bandits." Konai said.
"Orders?" Kabuto asked.
"You are to subdue or eliminate them but The Elders prefer elimination as punishment for attacking Leaf cargo."
"In other words kill them…" Naruto thought. "Could I do it? Can I take a life?"
"Naruto?" The Third addressed.
"Yes?"
"Are you ready for your first C rank mission outside the walls?"
"I'm as ready as ever!" Naruto said with confidence.
"Don't worries we'll watch you're back especially me…" Konai said giving Naruto a wink making him slightly blush as she was messing with him.
"Alright then…" The Third said as he stood up with Team Kabuto doing the same. "Team Kabuto, move out at once!" The Third said aloud waving his hand out to his left.
"Hai!" They all said aloud.
They take to the rooftops of the village following Kabuto's lead heading in the direction of the front gate.
"So this will be your first time outside the village huh?" Konai asked as she looked over her shoulder back to Naruto as they traveled.
"On an official mission yes but never in my life did I think I would be taking a C rank mission this early in my career?"
"Get used to it, Naruto. You are going to be participating in a lot of them, and as Konai said we will watch your back." Kabuto said aloud as he leads the way.
"Then you guys can be sure I'll be doing the same for you."
"Just don't enjoy watching my back to much back there." Konai said with smirk once again messing with him.
"Are you trying to be funny?" Naruto asked as he continued to follow across the rooftops with a blush upon his cheeks.
Meanwhile the remainder of Team 7 was near another fence that was finished being repaired as Sakura nailed in the last nail as Sasuke stood by not too far with bucket of nails and hammer in hand, and as for Kakashi he was crouched atop another fence opposite of his team with his nose in that book of his.
"Well done team," Kakashi said as he turned the page.
"This is such a waste of time." Sasuke said.
"Kakashi sensei is there any chance of the two of us doing anything other than just hard labor?" Sakura asked.
"Well let's see here."
Kakashi put away his book pulling out the same scroll of D's he had and SOMEHOW it seemed to have stretched longer as the bottom portion falls to the ground rolling to their feet showing the many lists of D's to complete with a couple x out, and the look on both Sakura and Sasuke's faces was priceless.
"From the looks of it guys there is plenty more to go." Kakashi said with an eye smile ever present on his face.
"You're enjoying this aren't you?" Sasuke asked.
That is when Kakashi felt the approach of a total of five Chakra signatures approaching their nearby position since they were near the front gate entrance and exit from the village, and it was not long until both Sakura and Sasuke then felt them too looking off in the same direction approaching fast.
"Approaching ninja being sent out of the village on mission?" Sakura asked.
"Judging from how quick they are moving I would say yes." Kakashi said as he leaped down from his position looking off in the direction where he predicts the five would appear.
That is when they saw them leap over one final roof landing one after the other dashing across the concrete toward the front open gates of the village. The first to touch down was one with silver hair wearing glasses that Kakashi immediately recognized as Kabuto knowing that he was a squad leader for a team of Advanced Genin. Second to touch down was a pale skin boy who Kakashi had little knowledge of but knew him by the name of Sai. Third was the infamous Genin of Genin's recognized by the village itself as its strongest Genin otherwise known as Neji Huyga to Sasuke immediately taking notice of the blind like eyes, and seeing them Sasuke determined immediately that he was Huyga. Fourth was someone that Kakashi had actually met on a few occasions knowing her to be Anko's little sister, Konai Mitarashi following after her squad. Now where was the fifth one?
"Kakashi sensei?" Sakura addressed.
"That my students are Advanced Genin…"
"So these are the Advanced Genin…" Sasuke said.
Finally is when the fifth arrived a little late behind his squad being someone they knew very well as he lands upon his right foot to dashing and quickly catching up with his team.
"It's Naruto!" Sakura said in surprise.
"Well that's a surprise." Kakashi said.
"What is?" Sasuke asked as he watched Naruto move along with the Advanced Genin.
Team Kabuto came skidding to a stop along their feet halting just outside the small guard station both Izumo and Kotetsu were standing in so as to give their names as to who is passing out of the village for the traffic report. This is to know when they exit leaving behind a time and date must do the same thing upon return except upon emergencies. "Kakashi sensei isn't it too early for Naruto to leave the village?"
"Naruto's rank as an Advanced Genin says otherwise Sakura, and besides there is no need to be worried as Naruto is in good hands."
"How come?"
"I knew Naruto was an Advanced Genin but I never knew what squad he was assigned to I am surprised."
"Which one?" Sasuke asked.
"Team Kabuto and the squad leader is the one wearing the glasses, Kabuto."
"What's so special about this team that surprises you that Naruto is in it?"
"Team Kabuto is known to be the greatest of the Hidden Leaf Village's Advanced Genin Squads otherwise known as AGS for short."
"The greatest Advanced Genin Squad?" Sasuke repeated as his eyes were upon Naruto's back.
"Only THE BEST of Advanced Genin in the entire village are placed within Team Kabuto."
"Naruto is one of the best? I can't believe it…" Sakura said as she looked upon Naruto with a small smile but then again something told her that she shouldn't be surprised knowing his determination.
Sasuke right now was honestly jealous of Naruto making him feel as if he were weak to Naruto, as if he were behind.
"Naruto is already with the big boys so to say and seeing him apart of it must mean that their previous team member either quit or was killed in action." Kakashi mentioned.
"Why do you say that?" Sakura asked.
"Well as you know normal Genin such as yourselves are assigned D's, C's, and occasionally B's, and rarely ever A's depending on your growth. However the Advanced Genin don't take D's at all as it is seen as waste of their capabilities so Advanced Genin are strictly assigned C's AND B's normally while A's are given to them from time to time if it calls for it. Not to mention that they get higher paid wages as Advanced Genin which is a big plus if are ever given the rank."
"Given?"
"You cannot earn the Advanced Genin rank you must be given it. Put it like this in another way you don't ask to join the Advanced Genin you get asked. I had the privilege when I was younger and let me tell you being an Advanced Genin is not cake walk. Naruto will not only joining us on mission but occasionally be called upon away from the squad."
"What makes them so important that Naruto would be required to leave us behind?"
"The missions are handed down by The Hokage himself that are seen as missions of importance in the eyes of not just the Hokage but that of The Elders even it is a simple C rank mission. Naruto is going to have a lot of work on his hands…"
These were actually the kind of missions Sasuke wanted seeing them as ways to get stronger to catch up to his brother.
"And there they go," Kakashi said.
Team Kabuto dashes out of the village taking to the Leaf Forest up into the trees traveling toward their destination.

The Advent91: Now I will answer some questions that may be on your minds right now…
Question: Who is Konai?
Answer: She is a character I created meant to be a younger sister to Anko. She does not exist in the real canon but in this fan fiction story she does and I plan to have her play an important role. Also I intended to have a total of five Advanced Genin as one squad with Kabuto as leader, but there was an issue as to who should be the fourth member in it, and that answer was actually Anko. The reason I say Anko is because if it was not for that character I would have never came up with Konai, and I hope she is someone you guys will like or at least deal with even if you don't like her. I know that some are going to say that it is not possible for Anko to have a younger sister because it cannot possibly be placed in the actual canon, but this is fan fiction, and I will figure something out. At least you can think of her as sort of as Anko actually on the team but she is supposed to be a younger sibling.
Question: Are there other Advanced Genin teams?
Answer: Essentially yes there are but I will not go into detail with that. Sorry about that.
Question: What are Naruto, Master Zen, and Neji's power levels?
Answer: I will not be giving an answer to that because for Dragon Ball fans those power levels for characters in DB, and Z are supposed to be meaningless since Namek. Fans are supposed to dismiss them as their power cannot be measured by numbers alone and so I will not be giving out answers as to what each characters power levels are. You are all free to believe what power levels they are but I still stand by saying that no one in near Z level and strictly in DB level of strength, and plus I do not want to get in any debates about power levels. PS: When the Z portion of this series arrives then Naruto will pretty much be like a god among men. Like how Normal Goku would just solo the entire Naruto Universe, but with the tricks that ninja of the Naruto Universe have up their sleeves they could put up a fight. However in the end the result is DBZ Level of Power OVER Naruto Level of Power, and that is FACT sirs no doubt about it. Power wise DBZ Universe is way too overpowered for Naruto Universe. Plot wise Naruto is superior and that's a no brainer so congrats for Naruto on that (Even though it may seem like it's getting out of control, and not to mention almost a LITTLE silly?)

Question: Is there a Civilian Council?
Answer: NO. In the canon of Naruto there is no civilian side of council. There are just the Elders being Homaru (May have spelled that wrong or gotten the name wrong), Koharu, and Danzo (He's one of the Elders right? My memory is a bit hazy but I will look it up). They act as advisors to the Hokage. I am sure there are fans here of Naruto bashing council and all but I don't want to get into any of that for this rewrite.
Question: Is their official pairing?
Answer: No there is no official pairing. I know that you may not like this but that is not important to me right now or the story. Also just to note to any that thinks Konai will be paired with him she is just messing with Naruto.
The Advent91: This has got to be the most important question of them all that was asked by me from one fan of the story through a PM.
Question: Are their DRAGON BALLS?
Answer: I honestly don't know at this point. I am leaning toward not including any at all. If they had Dragon Balls they would need their very own Namek for the planet. That's the only issue I see right now is the Namek portion. Not to mention that dead people would be brought back to life left or right and nations would be after them for their own dark purposes, but if I do this I will have certain restrictions as to wish granting. This is not a YES or an NO but it is something I am trying figure out. I will let you all know in an update but I MAY have an idea that I want to share with you all but I am afraid that it will spoil it for you.
