A/N: Hey everyone!
Not too much to say, other than to wish you a very happy NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY and NATIONAL EGG NOG DAY (DEC. 24)! Oh, and merry Christmas Eve (can't forget about that one)!
I'm kind of in a hurry right now, so this next chapter is a bit rushed; I'm sorry to say it's not really my best work… But, well, I hope you're able to enjoy it nonetheless. :)
Peace out,

~ Eleven Pipers Piping ~

-Third Person POV-
"So, let me get this straight," Piper McLean said as she regarded a certain son of Poseidon, her arms crossed and an odd look on her face. "You want me to-"
"Charmspeak Annabeth into standing under the mistletoe with me," Percy finished eagerly, nodding his head with a child-like smile. "Yup! Think you can pull it off?"
Piper bit her lip.
"Well, I can definitely pull it off," she said. "There's no doubt about that. But wouldn't it be a lot easier if you just… oh, I don't know, ask her to give you a kiss?"
"I tried that already," Percy said. "But she's in the middle of designing stuff for Olympus, and you know how she gets when she's all stubbornly concentrated. Every time I ask her for a quick cuddle or kiss or anything, she just ignores me and waves me out."
Piper rolled her eyes at Percy's pouting expression.
"Okay," she said. "And, because of this, you thought it would be a good idea to hang mistletoe from the doorway of the Athena cabin…"
Percy beamed proudly.
"Yeah!" he said. "I figured she couldn't say no to a kiss if we're under the mistletoe together. But, well… the only problem is that Annabeth refuses to get up. I can't get her to stand under the mistletoe if she doesn't even want to stand up."
He placed a hand on Piper's shoulder.
"And that's where you come in," he said. "When you do that whole charmspeak thing you do, she'll have to listen to you and stand under the mistletoe with me, and give me a kiss!"
"Why can't you just kiss her later?" Piper asked. "She's kind of in the middle of something important, Percy. You know, she probably has a pretty good reason why she doesn't want you to kiss right now."
"But it only takes a second," Percy retaliated. "That's all I'm asking for! It's not my fault if Annabeth's super stubborn and can't even spare a second."
"Ugh, okay, fine," Piper said in defeat. "I'll do it. Give me a second."
With that, the daughter of Aphrodite turned around, walking up to the Athena cabin and knocking on the door.
"If it's Percy, go away," a muffled voice shouted from inside. "I'm busy!"
"It's Piper," Piper said. "Can I come in?"
"Oh, sure," Annabeth's voice called back. "Yeah! Of course!"
Piper opened the door and stepped inside, immediately noticing the daughter of Athena hunched over her desk, papers strewn everywhere.
"Busy?" Piper asked.
"You have no idea," Annabeth replied. "I'm trying to finish up a design for this fountain, and I just can't seem to get the proportions right. It's driving me absolutely crazy."
"Maybe you should take a break," Piper said softly. "You could spend some time with Percy. You know, he told me that he's been waiting a long time to give you a kiss."
Annabeth stopped working then and turned around, facing Piper.
"Let me guess," she said, a small smile on her face. "Seaweed Brain sent you here to charmspeak me into kissing him, didn't he?"
"You got me," Piper laughed. "In my defense, though, your boyfriend is ridiculously persistent."
"It appears so," Annabeth said, then paused for a second as if she were thinking. "Gods, he's desperate, isn't he?"
Piper shrugged.
"Yeah, I guess so," she said. "If the fact that he felt it was necessary to hang up mistletoe was anything to go off of."
"Hey, Piper," Annabeth said. "Would you send him in here for a second?"
Piper quickly found that she didn't even have to do so, for Percy (who had definitely not been eavesdropping the entire time, no, of course not) was immediately by the daughter of Aphrodite's side.
"Yeah?" he asked Annabeth, grinning. "What's up?"
"You Seaweed Brain, interrupting my work yet again," Annabeth said. "Come over here."
She waved him over as the son of Poseidon stepped over fallen papers to stand next to his girlfriend.
As he turned to face her, Annabeth stood up and cupped a hand around Percy's cheek.
"You may have just totally disrupted my concentration," she said, "but, gods, you're so cute when you try to be romantic."
Percy grinned.
"I know," he said. "But how can I help it if my girlfriend is as gorgeous as you are?"
Annabeth let out a small laugh, Percy doing the same as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"So," he said at last. "Does that mean you'll finally give me the kiss I've been waiting so long for?"
"Oh, what the heck," Annabeth said. "Fine. I guess I can spare a second or two."
And, as the two demigods leaned in for a kiss, Piper found herself silently watching with a smile.
Well, I guess there was no need to use either mistletoe or charmspeak after all…
