Hello, my lovelies! Thank you for the reviews, and to the person that sent me a message about the story :)
Klaus had volunteered to show Taylor's friends around New Orleans. But something told Taylor that Brooke and Hannah were more fascinated by Klaus...and his accent...and his lips...and his dimples. Pretty much everything about Klaus.
"And here you can take tours of some of the most famous haunted hot spots of New Orleans," said Klaus. "Many people say that this is one of the most haunted cities of America. There's no doubt about it that this city has a supernatural presence around it."
"Like witches and vampires?" Hannah asked.
"That's right, Hannah. If you're ever walking out at night you might just run into one." He smirked that adorable smirk that made girls weak in their knees.
"I'm starting to get really hungry," said Brooke.
"Where would you girls like to eat?" Klaus asked them. "Pick anywhere you like."
All three girls thought about it where they all wanted to eat. After a few moments of disagreements they settled on Bubba Gump Shrimp Company on the French Quarter. Seafood wasn't really Klaus' favorite choice of food, but he wanted to make sure the girls were happy.
"Look at all the craw fish!" Brooke said in awe seeing the big plate of craw fish sat down in front of them. "You sure you don't want any, Klaus?"
"I'm sure of it, love. I've never really been a big fan of craw fish."
"You probably wouldn't fit in with the Robertsons then," Hannah told him.
"Who are the Robertsons?"
"Have you ever watched that show Duck Dynasty? It's about the Robertson family. They're big duck hunters. But they also hunt deer, squirrel, etc. They're really funny."
Klaus wasn't really into anything involving camo, country music or hunting...well hunting animals. But he wasn't going to tell the girls that.
"I'm actually a big fan of the show," a voice said behind Klaus. "In fact, you look quite a bit like the daughter on the show." Hannah blushed. Klaus turned around to see it was his little brother Kol.
"Well if it isn't my little brother Kol."
"Hello, Nik. Nice to see you again. I see you have three beautiful, young ladies here. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Kol Mikaelson, Niklaus' younger and better looking brother."
"Hi, Kol," said Hannah "I'm Hannah Kendall. Her and Kol were really eyeing each other.
"And I'm Brooke Blackwell," Brooke introduced herself.
"And I'm Taylor O'Connell, Rebekah's new friend."
"Rebekah made a friend? Wow that is a shocker." Kol sounded really surprised about that.
"So what brings you to New Orleans, brother?" Klaus asked.
"Oh I just thought I would come down for a visit. I want to see how Bekah and Elijah are doing."
"It feels like years since you've been around though."
"Are you all still at the plantation?"
"Yes."
"Great. I'll go by later to visit. So do you mind if I join you all? I'm starving." Klaus wanted to tell him to buzz off somewhere but the girls, Hannah especially, wanted him to stay.
Taylor knew she had a few hours of sunlight left so she had to enjoy her time with her friends fast. They had wanted to go see Klaus' house but Klaus was against it. Kol decided though to take them by there.
"Wow this place is huge," said Brooke. Her and Hannah were in awe at the sight of the Mikaelson Manor. "I wish my home was 3x this big."
"It took us about two months to get this finished," Klaus told her.
"You never even bothered to help," Kol smirked at him.
"And like you did?" The girls were enjoying the arguing brothers going back and forth.
Klaus opened the doors up to his big home to invite Hannah and Brooke in. The girls were impressed by all of the fancy furniture, historical figures and 70" LED TV up against the wall.
"Y'all must be loaded," said Brooke. Klaus laughed to himself.
"Who are our new guests, brother?" Elijah asked entering the living room.
"This is Hannah Kendall and Brooke Blackwell, Taylor's friends from back home."
Elijah kissed both of their hands like a gentleman, making both of them blush. He then spotted his younger, trouble making brother. "Kol. It's so nice to see you again."
"Nice to see you too, Elijah. Where is Rebekah at?"
"Here I am," said Rebekah entering the living room. "I never thought I would see you again."
"Well here I am," he smiled. The very pregnant Hayley was the last to enter. Kol's eyes went wide seeing her baby bump. "And who are you?"
"This is Hayley Marshall," said Elijah, introducing Hayley himself. Kol wanted to know who the father was immediately. "Come with me." Elijah wrapped his arm around Kol's shoulder leading him out of the living room.
There was an awkward silence amongst everybody left in the living room. Rebekah didn't look too happy seeing these pathetic little human girls in her home. Hayley went upstairs to her bedroom.
Klaus cleared his throat. "So, umm, is there anything else you girls would like to see?"
Brooke and Hannah felt uncomfortable with Rebekah giving them the evil eye. "Umm I think we're ready to go back to Taylor's," said Brooke. Klaus was more than happy to take them back.
"I want to ride along," said Kol entering the living room again.
Klaus rolled his eyes. "Fine. Just stay quiet during the ride."
Klaus' request for Kol to be quiet didn't work quite well. Instead, him and the girls were singing along to songs that were annoying Klaus. Taylor found it pretty hilarious.
Klaus pulled up into the driveway. Everybody, including Kol, stepped out.
"You know you can't enter," Klaus told him pulling him aside.
"Who says I can't?" he smirked.
"Kol, I'm serious, do not mess with these girls."
"Oh, calm down, brother. I'm not interested in all three of them, just Hannah."
Klaus just rolled his eyes. "Just wait out here. I have some business I have to do first." He entered into the apartment. All the girls were sitting around.
"Where's Kol?" Hannah asked. "Why won't he come in?"
"We're getting ready to leave actually, love. But I can return tomorrow to do more fun stuff in the city." Taylor motioned at him to make sure he was going to do what he said he was going to do. "But before I leave there's something I have to do," he said, his pupils dilating.
"Nik, how can you be a father?!" Kol exclaimed. "I mean, Elijah told me how but it's still so impossible to believe."
"Well believe me, brother, it's happening," Klaus moaned.
"Well you have great taste. Hayley is hot."
Klaus rolled his eyes. "She might be, but I regret every moment ever sleeping with her."
"I bet you do, seeing as how you have the hots for Taylor." Klaus looked at him. "Don't say you don't because I can tell."
"I do fancy her."
"So do you plan on making her a hybrid since she's a werewolf?"
"I would but I can't since the doppelganger is a vampire now." Klaus couldn't stand the thought of Elena Gilbert.
"I see. So what do you think the baby is going to be? A vampire? Werewolf? Witch? Hybrid? Or all of the above?"
Klaus rubbed his temple. "I don't know. I don't want to talk about the baby right now. All I want for you to do is shut up."
Taylor snuck out the door and drove to Klaus'. He had compelled Brooke and Hannah to stay in every night without asking questions. Taylor knew it was for the best. Klaus had something planned for her tonight before the change. Her stomach was in knots wondering what it could be.
"It's about time you got her," said Rebekah opening the door.
"Sorry. I would've been here sooner but I had to hurry up and get my stuff together. So what does Klaus have planned for me?"
Rebekah hesitated. "You're not going to like it but it'll keep you safe."
That didn't make Taylor feel no better. "What is it?"
"Follow me." Rebekah led Taylor to the basement. Down below Taylor saw a few coffins. She wondered to herself why they had coffins if they slept in beds. Then she saw the chains.
"Are..are those for me?"Rebekah nodded sadly. "Rebekah, what the hell?! I don't want to be chained up!"
"Look I'm sorry. You know this wasn't my idea."
"I'm sorry about this, love," said Klaus descending down the stairs. "But this is for your protection. So you won't be running loose around the bayou."
"But you said I didn't kill anybody last night," Taylor cried.
"You didn't but we can't take that chance. You're a new werewolf. And we still haven't found Tyler yet. He might be lurking around ready to snatch you up. I'll stay down here with you all night."
Taylor felt hot tears in her eyes. She didn't want to be chained up like an animal. But deep down she knew that's what she was know-a wild animal. "Okay," she said sadly.
The sun was starting to set. Kol was bored sitting in the house. He couldn't take his mind off the pretty little brunette with those adorable dimples. He knew he wanted to see her again. So he sped off to the direction of Taylor's apartment.
"Hi," said Cami opening the door. "You're Klaus' brother Kol, right?"
"Yes I am."
"So you're a vampire too, huh?" she said crossing her arms. "If you're wanting in this house you might as well keep dreaming. It's not going to happen."
Kol laughed. "You're a smart one, darling. I just actually wanted to see Hannah instead."
"Why?"
"Because she's pretty. I've taken a fancy to her."
"No. It's bad enough my sister is a werewolf now and stuck over at your brother's house, but you are not dragging her friends into this."
Kol raised his arms in defense. "Okay, okay. I won't bother you none." Cami slammed the door in his face. Kol knew he was lying. He would wait until Cami fell asleep.
Taylor could feel the change coming. She fell down on all fours screaming in pain. "This. Is. Bullshit!" she screamed.
Klaus sat down in a chair in front of her. "I understand, love."
"You haven't felt this pain in a thousand years though!" she screamed at him.
"Actually you're wrong about that. When I broke the curse to release my werewolf side I changed into a wolf."
She just ignored him and continued to scream in pain.
The time was right. All three women were asleep. Kol went to the window where he could hear two humans breathing and tapped on the window lightly a couple of times. Hannah peeped out the window.
"What are you doing here?" Hannah asked opening the window.
"I came to see you. Why don't you come outside?"
Brooke appeared next to her. "Hey what's up? What are you doing here?"
"Oh I was bored and decided to come by and see Hannah."
Brooke frowned. "What about me? And where's Taylor?"
"She's at Klaus'."
"What's she doing there?"
"Uhh personal business."
"Oh they're totally screwing."
"Uh yeah. Sure. Whatever. So, Hannah-"
"Let's go over there and bust in on them!" Brooke jumped out the window. Kol saw she was in tight tee and shorty shorts.
"But Klaus told us to stay here at night," Hannah told her.
"Yeah. But I wanna bust in on him and Tay."
"I don't believe that's a good idea," Kol told them.
"Your opinion doesn't matter," Brooke told him. He was taken aback. He couldn't believe a human teenager was telling him-an original vampire-off.
How dare she! I'll rip her throat out for that!
The girls had done jumped into the convertible and took off. Kol sped behind them.
They pulled up in the Mikaelson driveway. Hannah was getting nervous about this.
"Brooke, I think we should leave."
"Why should we?"
"Because they're gonna get so mad at us, especially Rebekah. She already doesn't like us. She'll kill us if we barge up in there uninvited."
"I'm willing to take that chance. And besides, don't you remember that time Taylor busted in on me and my ex? She's getting paid back for that."
"Brooke, that was two year ago. Just let bygones be bygones." But Brooke wasn't listening. She went up the porch and slowly opened the door. Her and Hannah entered the living room quietly.
"This is a bad idea," Hannah whispered.
"Shut up." Brooke tip toed towards the stairs but stopped dead in her tracks when she heard a growling sound coming from the basement. "What the hell?" She ran quietly to the kitchen. Hannah followed behind her. Brooke pressed her ear up against the basement door. "What could that be?!"
Hannah was shaking. "We need to leave now." Just then she felt a strong hand on her arm causing her to scream.
"Shhhh!" It was Kol. "I told you two not to come here! You need to leave now!"
The kitchen light came on. "What in the bloody hell are they doing here?" Rebekah asked angrily. Elijah and Hayley were behind her.
"We're sorry!" Hannah cried. "I tried telling Brooke this was a bad idea. We're gonna leave right now."
"Where's Taylor?" Brook asked bravely.
Rebekah stepped in front of her. They were at eye level. "Don't worry about her right now. You and your little friend need to leave right now or I will make you leave." But Brooke didn't back down. She was brave, but dumb.
All of a sudden the growling became louder, and before anybody had time to react the basement door was busted wide opened by the werewolf Taylor. She jumped right on Brooke tearing a deep gash in her stomach. Taylor took off out into the night as Klaus followed behind her.
"Rebekah, Kol, stay here. I'm going to help Niklaus," Elijah told them. He sped off after his brother and Taylor.
Brooke laid on the floor screaming in pain and terror. "Oh my God!" she kept repeating. Blood was going everywhere.
Hannah was freaking out. "What was that?! Somebody call an ambulance! Help her!"
Rebekah just rolled her eyes. "I tried to warn her. She deserves to die."
"Rebekah!" Hayley snapped at her grabbing her arm. "We can't let her die! Taylor will never forgive you for letting her friend die."
Rebekah just rolled her eyes again. "I don't see why Taylor would have her as a friend."
Hannah held onto Brooke and cried. "Please help her."
"Do you think it's too late?" Kol asked his sister.
Brooke could feel herself becoming weaker.
After what felt like an eternity Rebekah threw her hands up in the air. "Fine! I'll save her little carcass." She bit her wrist and held it up to Brooke's mouth.
Hannah looked at Rebekah with shock and horror. "What are you doing?"
"I'm saving her. So shut up."
"Don't talk to her liek that!" Kol snapped at his sister. He helped Hannah up to her feet and held onto her.
Rebekah pulled her wrist back when she felt Brooke had enough blood. She watched as the gash healed. But noticed that her breathing had stopped.
"Oh no," Rebekah said to herself.
"What?" Hannah asked. "What's wrong? Is she okay? Or is she dead?"
Rebekah looked at her with a straight face. "She just died."
Hannah burst out crying. She wrapped herself around Kol.
"Did she drink your blood though?" Hayley asked.
"Yes she did."
"So she died with your blood in her system."
Rebekah nodded at her grimly.
"Hannah," Hayley called at her. Hannah turned her tear stained face towards the pregnant woman. "Your friend isn't permanently dead."
Hannah wiped at her tears. "Huh? What do you mean? Rebekah said Brooke just died."
"She did. But with my blood in her system," Rebekah told her.
"What are you people talking about?!"
"She's turning into a vampire, dear."
Oh snap! Sounds like things are definitely getting crazy now. And Kol is back! So that's one happy thing about this mess lol. Remember to review! :)
