Some tried to obscure the marks and hide that they'd shrunk over the years, some were proud of how much larger they'd gotten. But they'd all been alive for a very long time, and it'd been quite a while since most of them had grown even slightly. With their territories set, some had forgotten about the nicks at all.
Her doorframe gained a new mark near annually. It might have only been considered a novelty, but she was proud of it.
