Chapter 10 - The Story of The Pure Blood Vampires

Edward's POV

I can't believe what happened. Everyone including Isabella and Annabelle were having a game of baseball when all of a sudden Alice has a vision and she says there are forty vampires coming into the clearing and she didn't let me see it.

I was worried about Anna especially if there was a battle but Isabella was able to get her safely away so I could focus on their thoughts.

They turned up and it wasn't what I expecting. The three that approached were creepy. They were moving with catlike grace.

We talked for a bit then they attacked. After twenty minutes of fighting Isabella was able to get everyone together around her and was able to destroy them all.

'I can't believe she was hiding that much power.' I thought.

She saved Laurant to interrogate him.

"What the hell? Who did that?" He said shocked.

"I did." Isabella said as she moved out of our group.

Everyone gasped.

'Oh my god she looks different.' Everyone thought.

'She looks like the vampires in the movies.' I heard from Emmett.

I looked at her and noticed that too and looked like the girl Jasper was thinking about after I met her.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"My name is Isabella. Tell me about this war the Russian coven is creating and I will make you death painless. If you don't I will torture it out of you and kill you slowly." I replied.

"I will tell you nothing." He shouted at her.

"I guess I will have to torture the answers out of you."

'Torture the answers from him. Who would do that?' Carlisle thought.

I noticed that Jasper, as the Major, grin. I felt him send his power out. The next thing I know, I don't feel anything.

'She must have kept up the shield to protect us from his power.' I thought.

"Ahhhhhh. I will not tell you anything. You can't make me talk." He screamed at her.

He stopped screaming.

'Major must have stopped.' I thought.

"I guess you will be difficult then. No matter I will get the answers from you. I can be very persuasive." She said to him grinning.

"I will never betray by coven."

"We'll see." She said.

She then looked over at me.

"Can you read his mind?" She asked.

"Yes." I replied.

She ran over to me.

"Good because I don't know how much torture he can handle he may not be able to speak in the end. Also if he does talk he may not tell the whole truth but his thoughts will." She whispered so Laurant wouldn't hear.

"I'll do my best."

She touched me and I felt my power get stronger.

I went into his mind and noticed I could see much more.

'Wow.'

She attacked Laurant then. She ripped all of his limps off.

"Ahhhhhh. You can't make me talk." He screamed in pain.

"Oh really. Did you know that you can feel the pain from limbs even if they're not on your body?" She said.

'I never even heard of that.' Carlisle thought.

He looked scared now.

She started burning the limb from the inside out.

'Epppp. That's got to hurt.' Emmett thought.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh." He screamed.

The limb burst into flames.

"Are you ready to talk now or do you want to lose more limbs to fire." She asked.

"Never."

"Hmmmmm. You're going to be difficult. No matter I have all day. You know what, I have a special weapon at home that might get you to talk." She said. "Oh Major, would you be a dear and run and get it for me?"

'What kind of weapon could do more damage than fire?' Carlisle thought.

"Where is it Isabella?" He asked.

"It's the one hanging over the fire place." She replied.

'I thought that was a decoration, not a weapon against vampires.'

He ran off.

A few minutes later he was back with a blade.

"Do you know what this is?" She asked everyone.

"No." Everyone replied.

'It couldn't be could it? The blade from the legend of the Pure Bloods. It is said to be made with and coated in werewolf blood. It was said that the blade killed all the Pure Bloods.' Carlisle thought. 'I should probably mention it and see.'

"Wait. I have heard of a blade like that. Legend has it, that a blade was made long ago that is able to destroy a vampire quickly because one it was made with werewolf blood and is coated in it as well. It is poisonous to vampires." Carlisle said. "But I didn't know it existed. How did you get it?"

"All in good time but you're correct Carlisle. It is the blade from the legend and it is real." She said turning back to Laurant. "Picking up anything Edward."

'Who would have thought? So maybe a lot of the legends surrounding Pure Bloods are true.' He thought.

'No it can't be. I have heard of that blade and it is scary. I heard that it was used in the battle with the Romanians.' Laurent thought while looking at the blade.

"Yes. He has also heard of this blade and is petrified." I replied.

"Hmmmm. Will you talk now or will I use it on one of these limps here?" She asked holding the blade near one of his legs.

'She wouldn't, would she?' Laurant thought. 'Don't want to take any chances.'

"Ok. I'll talk. Please don't use that blade on me." He said.

"Good. What are they up to?" She said sitting on the grass and putting the blade next to her.

"The Russians don't like the way the Volturi rule. They believe we should reveal ourselves to humans and rule them also. They plan on getting all the vampires that hate the Volturi to team up and create newborns. In about a year they will attack the castle with every vampire they have and take over."

"They would have no chance. The Volturi have too many powerful vampires in their group and powerful allies. How would they be able to defeat them?" Carlisle asked from where he stood.

"They have many vampires that can stop a vampire's power while near them."

"Well thank you for the information. I will make you death swift."

"But..."

He caught fire. She threw the limbs she had taken into the fire as well.

"Let's head back to your place Carlisle. There is much we need to talk about. The wolves may come also." She said as she started running towards our home.

"Let's head there." Carlisle said. He looked at the big black wolf. "Do you guys want to come too?"

He nodded.

We ran to the house and saw Isabella wasn't there.

"Huh. Where is she?" Emmett asked.

"She just sent a message to me mentally letting me know she is getting Anna and will be here in a few minutes." Jasper replied.

"Ok let's head in." Carlisle said. "Will your guys be staying in wolf form?"

Sam barked and he and the reddish brown one disappeared into the woods. They came back in human form.

"We will be in human form. The rest will stay as they are in case she is dangerous." Sam said.

"Why would you think I am dangerous since I just saved everyone including one of your own whose injuries were very serious?" Isabella said as she walked through the door with Anna.

"Edward. Thank god. Your safe and so are my friends." She said.

I walked over to her and gave her a hug and kiss.

"We all survived thanks to Isabella here." I replied looking over at her.

The family and wolves did the same.

"What are you? Why did you help us? Me especially since I gave you no reason to like me." Rosalie asked.

"Before I answer your question, Rosalie. Edward, what did you find in Laurent's mind?" She asked me.

"Everything he said was the truth. There was nothing he didn't tell us." I replied.

"To answer your question, I helped you because I felt close to you all including you Rosalie, I know that you don't trust easily which is why you are the way you are." She said. "I was the same. It has been such a hard life for me all alone."

"How long have you been alone?" She asked.

"Over one hundred thousand years, since my husband and children were killed."

'What?' Everyone thought.

"That's a long time but why?" I asked.

"I never found anyone I felt close to that I wanted to stay until I stayed with Jasper for a while and he found out about me."

"You knew her?" Esme asked.

"Yes. She saved me from the wars."

"Anyway, when I am with you guys I feel like I did when I was with them. I like you. I feel that you have become my family in the short period of time that we have known each other."

"That's wonderful. I am glad that you feel that way." Esme said getting up to give her a hug.

"So, will you tell us your story?" Emmett asked.

"Yes. You see, before the battle I was going to tell all of you after the game. I felt I could trust you now."

"So..." He said.

"You all know that my name is Isabella and that I am over two hundred thousand years old."

They nodded.

The wolves were in shock.

'She is old.' They all thought together.

"Wow your old." Jacob said.

"Jacob that's not a nice thing to say to a woman." Anna said. "Apologize now."

"Ok. Sorry Isabella."

"It's ok. I know I'm old. Anyway have any of you heard about Pure Blood vampires?" She asked everyone.

"No." Said nearly everyone.

"There are legends about them on the rez but everyone believes they are just stories." Sam said.

"Ok. Anyone else?"

"I have. I heard the history of them while living with the Volturi." He said.

"What do you know about them?"

"That there very different from us. The history books say that Count Dracula was the first. For a long time it was just him until he met someone who he changed. They married and had children."

"What? You're telling me Pure Bloods could have children." Rosalie asked.

"Yes because they are technically not dead. Their hearts beat and blood runs through their bodies." Carlisle replied. "After about eighty thousand years there were about fifty Pure Bloods when all of a sudden they started getting killed."

I looked over and noticed that Isabella was sitting with Jasper and Alice. She looked upset.

"Izzy are you ok?" I asked her.

"I'm fine. It's just a hard story to hear that's all." She replied.

'She couldn't be could she?' Carlisle thought.

"Am I ok to continue?" Carlisle asked.

"Yeah. Sorry."

"Anyway, all that was left was Dracula, his wife and his children. They were sleeping when it happened. One of their children killed Dracula and the other child but they were able to wake the wife up before the other child tried kill her. They spoke and he told her about our kind of vampire and said he will kill her and take his place as King. She had no choice but to kill him."

"You're telling me she killed her own child?" Esme said.

"Yes. It was either kill or be killed in his case." Carlisle replied.

"What happened to her?" Rosalie asked.

"She trained the new vampires then disappeared. No one knows where she is." He finished.

"It's because I had to sleep and I didn't want people harassing me."

We all looked at her.
