Seven teams raced from the Unova Region to the New Super Mario Brothers U Worlds.
Teams had problems with their flights.
"We're in a race, we have to get to Meringue Clouds as soon as we can," said Ralph.
"The people in that flight, the pilot, the whole crew, everyone there left us!" said Nadine.
Bill & Charles went to a computer station, and found one of the best flights available.
Charles said, "A direct flight to Meringue Clouds," Charles said.
Bill said, "Okay, book it."
Giving them their first first-place win.
"You are team number... team number ONE!" Ryder said.
The four teams that were almost half a day ahead of the last three teams... fell behind due to unlucky flight situations and decisions.
"This one has three connections," said the Amaura.
The Xatu said, "Just find your connections there, I think any of them would do."
At the junction, Ralph disagreed with Raffy's opinion to take the fast forward.
Raffy said, "It could be something that can help us."
Ralph said, "We won't be promised a second chance if we fail the fast forward."
At the roadblock, Jenna's performance made her and Vic fall behind.
"I'm gonna cry," Jenna said.
"Just a little more effort honey," Vic said.
But in a neck-and-neck fight for last place, the two teams with the highest averages fight it out.
"We can not screw up along the way," reminded Vic.
And the twins... were sent home.
Ryder continued, "And I'm sorry to tell you... that you have been eliminated from the race."
Six teams remain, who will be eliminated... next?
This is Acorn Academy. Situated on top of the famous tree in Acorn Plains, it is an academy populated with Waddlewings. Built less than fifty years ago, this academy is the eighth pit stop... in a race around worlds. Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg for a mandatory rest period. Can Bill & Charles maintain their good leading momentum? And as half of the alliance went home, will Diana & Cindy make it to the final three without their friends? Bill & Charles, who arrived first at 11:16 AM, will depart... at 11:16 PM.
Bill & Charles; 1st to depart – 11:16 PM
Bill ripped open the envelope and read the clue.
Bill read, "Fly to the racing capital of the Mushroom Kingdom, Kart Kapital."
"Teams must now fly to the racing capital of the Mushroom Kingdom... known as Kart Kapital. Once there, they must make their way to Toad's Tires. Using one of the karts provided, teams must deliver a dozen tires to a new course known as Wii U Mario Circuit. Once they have delivered the tires in perfect condition, they will receive their next clue."
"You have two hundred and fifty coins for this leg of the race," read Bill.
Charles showed their pouch of coins to the camera.
Charles said, "We finally get to visit Mario Kart Land."
The two got in a cab and are now on their way to Meringue Clouds's airport.
Annie & Baron; 2nd to depart – 1:23 AM
Annie ripped open the envelope and read the clue.
Annie read, "Fly to the racing capital of the Mushroom Kingdom."
"Oh good," said Baron.
Henry & Maria; 3rd to depart – 1:40 AM
Henry read, "You have two hundred and fifty coins for this leg of the race."
"So the currency of the Mushroom Kingdom is simply called coins?" said Maria.
"It has to be so," Henry said.

Annie said, "It was not yesterday, we had a thirty-six hour pit stop, right?"
"We still don't know," said Diana.
"I just hope it's not the twins," said Cindy.
Diana said, "I feel pretty sorry for ditching them last leg. We were fighting for last."
Nadine & Archer: Dating
Nadine & Archer; 5th on Paratroopa Air 093
After claiming their tickets, Nadine & Archer went to see the other teams.
"Who was eliminated?" asked Henry.
"It's Vic & Jenna or the twins," replied Archer.
Baron's and Cindy's faces turned sour. Few minutes later, the last team showed up.
Vic & Jenna: Married

"Hey y'all!" greeted Vic.
"Nooooooooooooooo!" cried Cindy.
"Was it non-elimination last leg?" asked Diana.
"Nope, it was tough last night," replied Vic.
"Guess we're on our own now," Diana whispered to Cindy.
Cindy said softly, "So bummed the twins went home last leg."
That night, all the teams boarded the flight.
"All teams are now making their way to Kart Kapital."
The flight landed. Since it was early morning, each team looked for a place where they can sleep.

The store opened. The toad watched the teams load the tires to their karts.

"Three, four, five..." counted Vic.
Nadine & Archer: Dating
"That orange kart's ours," said Archer.

"We're claiming the gray one," announced Baron.
Bill & Charles: Gym Buddies
"We're not wasting our time choosing a color," said Bill.
Charles is carrying four tires each arm. Bill has two on his head and one each on his arms.
"Just throw it in that one," said Bill.
Charles, "We have to arrange it first."
"Shut up! Ignore your OCD."
"But... but..."
"We're just wasting time. C'mon!"
The two left the store in a pink kart.
"Why did you choose this color?" asked Charles.
"Because it's the nearest one," replied Bill.
"But it's pink! Diana & Cindy might've wanted it."
"Never mind. We got first last time, we can get another this time, especially without a fast forward."
Henry & Maria: Dating
"Bill & Charles drove off in a pink kart!?" said Henry.
"We're using this black one, because the cats took our color," said Maria.
Diana & Cindy: Mother & Daughter
"Purple! What a lovely color," said Cindy.
"Now let's put all the tires in here," said Diana.
Vic & Jenna: Married
"It's time to roll," said Vic, with his shades on.
"We're rolling in the green," said Jenna, also with her shades on, as she pats their green kart.

Nadine said, "That's just ten."

Annie said, "I guess we're ready."
The teachers left for Wii U Mario Circuit.

"These tires aren't light," said Henry.
Diana & Cindy: Mother & Daughter
"They should've been with us," said Cindy.
"I wish they were here with us... right now," said Diana.
"We're no good when it comes to physical tasks," said Cindy.
Nadine & Archer: Dating
"Now it's twelve," Archer said.
"Let's go!" Nadine said in an excited tone.
Henry & Maria: Dating
"We're halfway through," said Henry.
Diana & Cindy: Mother & Daughter
Diana said, "Two down, ten more to go."
Henry & Maria: Dating
"You know what?" said Henry.
"What?" replied Maria.
"I'd rather be a big dude driving a pink car rather than falling to the back of the pack again."
There was an awkward silence. Then Maria spoke up.
Maria replied, "You know what?"
"What?" said Henry.
"You have a point."
"I know."
Diana & Cindy: Mother & Daughter
"We heard them," Diana said.
"And we agree with them, a hundred per cent," Cindy said.
Minutes later...
Henry & Maria: Dating
"Let's do what we're used to doing," said Maria.
"Catching up," said both ghosts in unison.

"We're so screwed right now," Cindy said.
"Cindy, just a few more," Diana said.
Few minutes later, they finished too.

The gym buddies delivered the tires and received their next clue from a Shy Guy.

Bill read the clue, "Roadblock, who wants to defy the laws of gravity?"
"The race courses in Kart Kapital are for beginners to practice their driving skills. In Wii U Mario Circuit, beginners practice their driving skills... in anti-gravity! In this roadblock, one team member must drive ten laps around this circuit in order to receive their next clue."
"Ho my goodness! The circuit is right beside us and I know what I'm doing," said Bill.
"Hey, it's what I'M doing," said Charles.
"Who says you're doing it?"
"And who says YOU'RE doing it?"
"Rock-paper-scissors."
Charles got paper, while Bill got scissors.
"This roadblock's mine," said Bill.
"You cheated!" said Charles.
"You opened your palm a millisecond after I opened mine. And you call me a cheater?"
"Y... Y..."
"Let's stop wasting time."
Bill went off to change to a racing suit.

"I guess it's my turn," said Baron.
"I don't feel good about last leg's roadblock," said Jenna.
"Okay honey, I'm doing this," Vic said.

Bill is all ready to go. He is just waiting for Lakitu's signal.

"Go!" shouted Bill in excitement.
Bill dashed through the race course.

Moments after, the Lakitu also signaled them to go.
"Woah! This is fun!" said Vic.
"I'm lovin this!" shouted Baron.

"I'm missing the fun," Archer said.
Once the Lakitu signaled Archer to go, Archer drove the kart with an extreme speed.

"Yeah."

"We went in the museum supposedly looking for a clue, but we ended up looking at the amazing artworks of other Mario Kart courses," said Jenna.

"After visiting the museum, teams must now identify or describe some of the Mario Kart race courses that have existed. Their choice: descriptive name... or guessing game. In descriptive name, teams will have to pick eight cards, each containing a photo of a Mario Kart race course. They must describe each race course in the best way that they can. Once Iggy Koopa approves of the description, he will hand them their next clue. Teams that can describe well... could finish fast. In guessing game, teams will be led to a classroom with a Koopa Troopa, where they will have to guess the name of the Mario Kart race course to be drawn by the Koopa Troopa using chalk. Teams are allowed to make three guesses per race course. Once they have named eight race courses, they will receive their next clue. Teams who paid attention at the museum... could finish fast."
Annie read, "You will receive a fifteen-minute penalty, to be served at the detour area, if you choose to switch detours."
"So we can't switch?" Baron said.
"Fifteen-minute penalty," replied Annie. "Let's do guessing game."
"Okay," replied Baron.

Vic gave the Parakoopa a sheet of paper to draw the map. The Parakoopa took about two minutes to draw the map.

The Koopa Troopa used an orange chalk and a brown one to draw trees.
"I saw this a while ago," said Baron. "That's Maple Treeway."
The Koopa clapped his hands. He erased the contents of the chalkboard to draw another Mario Kart race course. This time the Koopa Troopa is drawing pipes with green chalk. He also drew the blue sky and the details of a mountain. Then he drew (red-shelled) Lakitu driving a cloud kart with a hangglider.
"I didn't see this," said Baron. "Did you?"
"Nope," said Annie.
"I think it's Mario Mountain," answered Baron.
The Koopa shook his head.
"Mt. Mario?" said Baron.
The Koopa shook his head again.
"It has a lot of rocky details," said Annie.
"Rock Rock Mountain? Jeez, that sounded awkward," said Baron.
The Koopa gave him a thumbs up.

Back on the ground floor, after thirty seconds, Vic finally chose to let go of the elevator button. The doors started closing.
"Finally!" said Cindy.
"There's probably a problem with the elevator," said Diana. "I think it's best if we get out of here."
"You're right," said Cindy. "I don't wanna be eliminated because my team got trapped in an elevator."
The doors shut close before Cindy was able to press the open button.
"Shoot," said Cindy.
"Let's just pray that we won't get stuck... and eliminated," said Diana.
"We can take second place, I'm too tired," said Jenna.

Henry & Maria went inside. Charles saw the elevator and pressed the button outside.

At the penthouse...
"They aren't here yet, right?" said Maria.
"Ryder, wait for us!" shouted Archer.
"And us, especially us!" shouted Bill & Charles.
Henry & Maria didn't see the two teams coming up fast and panickedly hopped to the pit stop mat, along with the two teams.
"S**t!" said a he.
"That was an awful turtle run," said Bill. "But I work out!"
"Yeah!" said Charles. "We work out!"
"Welcome to Kart Kapital," greeted Baby Peach in a cute voice.
"And welcome to Daisy Circuit," greeted Baby Daisy in a cute voice.

AN:
1.) Here's how I divided the Mario Kart World:
a.) Kart Kapital: All the circuits are here. Halls of Fame, museums, etc. are also here.
b.) Region 1: Super Mario Kart; Region 2: MK64; Region 3: Super Circuit;... ; Region 8: MK8 (No circuits and rainbow roads in these regions.)
c.) Rainbow Region: All the rainbow roads on outer space (above the Mario Kart World).
2.) I'm almost done with this season. I'll be updating weekly, every Wednesday, but this is for my time zone, so you might want to check during Tuesday nights or Thursday mornings.
3.) The first 2 teams and last 3 teams to check-in this leg were determined in random order. I did the same method for the next leg's first 2 teams and last 2 teams.
4.) I'll be starting season 2 after I finish this season. I won't promise, but I will say that it's better than this season, especially in terms of intro and first few legs. I was barely prepared for the 1st season's intro and first 3 legs. I'm glad that I came up with a good cast, but the tasks on the first few legs weren't so... exciting, especially when I found out that the 1st leg tasks were quite similar to the 2nd leg tasks. So for the 2nd season, I have already prepared the cast (which in my opinion is awesome), the locations for the first 5 legs (I love them!), and all the pre-determined non-elimination legs.
