Ello! So, um, I don't know if there's a limit on to how many times you can say sorry, but I'm sorry! Look, writers block is like the stone warriors; you can't get rid of them! Gah! But anyways, *sighs, I have some good news, and some bad news. The good news is, that More Than Love is my main priority right now, even if I might not get to it. The bad news is, I will be placing Six Is Better Than One on a standstill so I can finish More Than Love. Also, I will be PERMANETLY DELLETEING MY FANFICTION, ONE GOOD REASON! Ok, I HATE that fanfic, and it's not doing very well, so yea. Anyway as, enjoy!
Chapter 11: The Mountain And The River
Due to the fact that Cole was incredibly injured, Jay and Zane knew that this was going to be a three against twenty-five fight.
Zane's hand became covered by ice, his eyes narrowed in concentration. He swiftly jumped on each of the guards heads, knocking each one out one by one. "Jay!" He called as he froze three other guards. "I need you to pay attention to Cole!"
Jay nodded. He ran towards Cole's direction, scanning the area for him. He could barely make the frail figure, his arm raised in defense from the raging fire flaming from Kai's hands. "Cole!"
He ran, lighting sparking his hands. Jay felt angry. So angry. He hated when his family was in danger. And now he was forced to fight his own brother.
Each step Jay took, his lightning kept getting stronger and stronger. He came up to Cole, creating a blast; Lightning clashing with fire.
Kai's head got the stone wall, now crimson blood dripping down his neck. He dipped his fingers in it, watching as Jay stood up, his eyes narrowed in rage.
"Get up, you bastard!" Jay kicked Kai's limp arm. "I said get up!" He punched Kai's face, causing Kai to wince in pain.
Kai slowly stood up, his tan skin covered in blood. "This doesn't change anything, Jay. I will get better. And when I do, Cole will be no more."
"I'm not an idiot! You're coming with me, and you're going to be locked in a cold, lonely cell." Jay growled.
Kai smirked. "We'll see. We'll - see." And with that, he was gone.
Jay, Cole, Zane, and their newfound friend Akeno, made their way to the Monastery, a bit anxious from their fight with Kai.
Zane carried Cole bridal-style up the mountain, due to the fact he would not get tired carrying Cole for that long.
Jay and Akeno were a little ways behind Zane, discussing what Akeno would do once he got there.
"So, you're saying that no one's going to boss me around?" Akeno asked, twiddling with his helmet.
Jay chuckled. "I wish dude. But we have a teacher called 'Sensei Wu', and he pretty much tells when to fight, how to fight, and when to do our chores."
"Oh." Akeno said. "Jay,"
Jay looked up, his sparkling, blue eyes shining. "Yeah?"
"Are you still, angry from our fight with Kai?"
Jay stood still for a moment. "Yeah...But I can't change the past. All I can do is improve for the future."
Akeno smiled. "I suppose Sensei Wu told you that?"
"Yup. I wouldn't be that wise in a million years."
Zane, Jay, Cole, and Akeno Finally made it to the monastery, sliding open the two doors.
"It is late." Zane said as he placed Cole on the couch. "Let us go to bed, and in the morning, tell Nya of our arrival."
The two of them nodded in agreement, when they heard footsteps. "W-who's there?" It was Lloyd, his green pajamas slightly covered by a blanket. He rubbed his eye, yawning a little.
Cole practically shot up from the couch. "Lloyd?!"
"Dad?!" Lloyd ran with his blanket, jumping on Cole and hugging tightly. "I thought you were never coming back!"
"I wasn't going to leave you." Cole groaned. "But son, you hurting my rib cage. Gah."
Lloyd stood off, his smile growing even larger. He turned around looking at Jay and Zane. "And Uncle Jay and Uncle Zane are alright! But who's that?" He said, pointing his tiny finger towards Akeno.
"He's an Allie. He won't hurt you." Zane said as he hugged Lloyd gently. "His name is Akeno."
"Nice to meet you, sir."
Akeno chuckled lightly. "No need for sir, Akeno or keno is fine."
"Ok, keno." Lloyd said as he brushed himself off from Zane's hug.
Zane stood up, looking around. "I think it is time we all get our well deserved rest."
Jay picked Lloyd up, carrying him on his shoulders. "That includes you, green bean."
As Jay took Lloyd to bed, and Akeno in pursuit, Zane grabbed the first aid kit and bagan wrapping Cole in bandages. "You have a wonderful son, Cole"
"Hm? Oh yes. I suppose."
"You suppose? You have a little boy that looks up to you in every way. He is like a mountain, you the river. You shape him in into the man you want him to be."
Cole scoffed. "But Zane, how can I do that when I'm always on the verge of dying? He doesn't need to lose another parent."
Zane pulled on the bandages a bit, and cut them with a pair of scissors. He placed the roll of bandages into the case, and sighed. "Cole, listen to me, you would not have adopted Lloyd if you did not think he was the one." Zane placed the case back on the shelf. "You are lucky to have such a wonderful boy, and who will soon be a great man."
Cole couldn't help but smile a bit. Zane's words always did have that effect on him. "Thanks frosty. I'll take your words of wisdom into mind."
"I am happy I could be of help. Good night, Cole." Zane said as he went to turn off the lights.
"Good night, frosty." Cole said as he grabbed the blanket laying on the arm of the couch.
Then, the lights went out.
So tell me if I'm getting better, or I need improving! It means a lot! Also, PLEASE tell me if you want One good Reason to stay, because I HATE that Fanfic! I will be deleting it later, so you can tell me in a review, or in the poll I have on my profile! Thanks! God bless!
