Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters, sadly, that Veronica Roth has created. I also don't own the Divergent Trilogy.

A/N: Hi guys! So, I had a little bit of a problem to write this chapter, but I am perfectly fine. Don't worry. Before I get to the responses, I have something to say.

Grey is how I spelled the name. I didn't spell it wrong. There are many different ways to spell all names. Like mine: Lauryn or Loren. So, please just stop with the "Oh, that's not how you are supposed to spell it." Because it is getting kind of annoying.

On that note, it's response time:

~Chapter 9~

"Here," Tris hands Natalie a small flask with a clear liquid in it. Rejecting all her fears of what it is, Natalie tips her head back and chugs the drink. "The serum will take place in about a minute. After it takes over you will be knocked out and be thrown into one of your worst fears. Tomorrow we'll do all of your fears. The point is to get out as fast as you can. The best way is to slow down your heart rate. Try not to freak out."

"Are you going to be there?" Tris shakes her head, typing a few things into the computer while Natalie's eyes begin to droop.

"Be brave, Natalie," Tris whispers while the girl falls into a deep sleep.

I open my eyes and I'm in a room. It's like the one that we took the aptitude test in. I'm in a hard, lounging chair that creaks when I get up. I look around the room and see a lot of mirrors, but the place where my face would be was blacked out. Every time I would move from one mirror to another, another black spot would pop up in front of my face. I was starting to get mad. I charged at one of the mirrors, but it wouldn't break. I continued to search for a way out, but everywhere I looked, another mirror would just pop up.

I break down and begin to breathe hard, closing my hands over my ears and begin to scream. It feels like I lay there for hours until I finally fall asleep.

When I woke up again I was back in the room with mom. She is typing things into the computer with a relaxed expression on her face.

"How long was in there?" I ask.

"About two hours. I had to stop the simulation, because of the time," she tells me while pulling the wires off of my forehead. "Don't try and get up yet. You'll just fall over."

"Okay," I breath. "What the heck was that?"

"The mirrors?" mom asks, meeting my eyes.

"Yeah. It was weird, it was just a bunch of mirrors on a wall," I tell her as dad comes into the testing room.

"Maybe you're afraid of seeing your reflection honey," she suggests, wiping my hair out of my face as dad picks me up from the chair. "You should get some sleep before dinner, okay?"

"Okay," I nod, resting my head on dad's shoulder.

Natalie has never weighed that much. She was much like Tris, not underweight, but still healthy. It's still kind of weird that I can carry her so easily when she was already sixteen years old.

"Hey, Mr. Eaton," Logan says from his cot while I set Natalie on her own. He stands and stalks over. "Is she okay?"

"Yeah, she just had a hard time in there," I tell him. "How was your simulation?"

"It was weird," he told me, sitting down on the nearest cot. "I was forced to shoot some of my family. My brother, mom and dad. Then when I did, it switched to some of my friends."

"Like, uh, like who?" I ask, rubbing the little stubble that has begun to grow on my chin.

"Well, people like Mila and Anna, Jordan and Jackson. Natalie was there," he says softly, looking at Natlalie with soft brown eyes.

"You know if she ever has to go to someone; I really hope that she goes to you," I tell him and leave the initiate's dorm.

"I don't think that she's Divergent," Tris tells me when we are getting ready for bed that day. The boys were all in their rooms, doing whatever as long as they weren't killing each other. "She took so long in the simulation, I had to stop it just so that the other two kids could go."

"She could have been faking it," I shrug while I rub some weird ointment on my eye. It's now a yellowish color and has gone down in size as well.

"Babe, you can't fake even if you don't know. And I already talked to Tori, she didn't have her though so…" she trails off at the end, starting to braid her hair.

"Well, I guess that I wouldn't know now would I?" I ask her, throwing her a small smile through the mirror.

"Whatever," she says. "Your eye is looking better."

"I know. I'm so proud of it!" I say like a little girl. Tris gives me a weird look and pulls the comforter over her body, letting it engulf her. I laugh and climb in beside her and kiss her nose. "I love you, Trissy."

"I love you, too, Toby."

A/N: So, this was a kind of shorter chapter, but I really wanted to get at least something up online. Sorry all the bad posting schedule this entire year. I love you guys still I promise. It's just that I don't exactly get the best grades, so I am trying to do a lot of things, and it ends up that I have been doing like eight things at once. So, I have been trying to spend as much time that I have not at school online and trying to keep a good social status up… I don't know though.

I have a small goal next year: I want to have at least 200 author followers and favorites. I'd like to have 300,000 words. 850 reviews. 700 story favorites. 800 story followers. Turn my dreams into a reality?

So, I may be uploading more, I don't really know. Let me know how your Christmas or Kwanza or Hannacha went. I got a book shelf and more books, the Percy Jackson Series, Insurgent (hard copy), The Fault in Our Stars and Four! I practically lost my mind! Well, let me know what you got!

P. S. It's my birthday! As a birthday present you can give me reviews! Love ya!
