Chapter 11

The water rushed down on the dragon slayer's body making his muscles rest after he was tensing them, they went through a lot in this day after all. He closed his eyes feeling the warmth of the water that was hitting his skin. Natsu threw his head to the back making the water move down on his chest. He spaced out and sank deep in his thoughts. Fears were controlling over his mind and making him unable to move forward and forget what happened. He was afraid to lose another precious thing to him, afraid of losing someone precious to him, afraid of losing himself. He was so weak in these situations. Natsu opened his eyes then closed the tab getting out from the tub. He reached for the towel wrapping it around his waist as he looked in the mirror that was in front of him. He scanned his face to find some injuries he had during the training he was doing. He grabbed some first aid kid to put a plaster on the wounds. Natsu got out from the toilet as he started to search for cleaned clothes to wear.

...

"Master it's as I told you" the redhead Erza spoke as she looked at the old man who was sitting down on the bar's table closing his eyes and holding the cane he owned.

"Yeah master he is mumbling strange things about black things" the blonde said disappointed.

"I remembered I heard him talking about a black dragon" Happy spoke earning their attention.

"What? Did he meet a dragon?" the barmaid asked looking at them in a shock.

"Maybe he is talking about Acnologia. we met him before you know" Lissanna sat down beside them as she was saying.

"It's strange" said the blue haired water mage.

After a long silence the master finally spoke opening his eyes staring at the ground "We can't force him to say something he don't want to say" he then looked at them.

"But master-" Erza couldn't complete her sentence because the old man stopped her.

"If we forced him, he won't talk but instead of that he will be angry" he looked at Erza making her sweat drop.

"Then..?" the white haired man Elfman spoke.

"We have to heal him by letting him talk first, right master?" the blue haired bookworm said happily.

"Yeah" the master agreed.

"By advising him?" the scarlet mage asked getting many nods as an answer.

...

Natsu lied down on his hammock trying as much as he can to sleep but unfortunately he couldn't do so. He just stared at the roof feeling his body rest and feeling that he won't be able to move it a single cm. He felt so tired and sleepy but no matter how much he tried to sleep he couldn't. Natsu suddenly snapped his head a little to the door's direction to realize that some of his friends were coming by knowing their smell. He raised his head a little and quasi smelled what seemed to be cake. He sat up on his hammock preparing himself in case when they come.

"Natsu" the blue cat entered the house calling his friend's name to find him sitting down on his hammock. Natsu moved his head to their direction to find that Erza, Lucy, Gray and Happy were standing over there.

"You were asleep?" Lucy walked towards the couch that the salamander had in his living room just in case someone comes visiting them. Erza and Gray followed them as they started to scan the place and looking at the corner of the living room after putting the bag that held the cake on the nearest table.

He sat down on his hammock pausing a little as he rubbed his eyes "I tried but I failed" he answered looking at the blonde then gave a smile. The blonde smiled back but then she quickly stood up.

"Natsu, we brought a cake. Where are the plates?" she asked quickly putting her hands together.

"Hey!" the blue cat yelled looking at the blonde mage as he caught their attention. "That's mean Lucy, I were with you from the first why didn't you ask me?" he puffed his cheeks with annoyance.

Lucy looked at him "Ah, I thought you didn't live here" Lucy mocked but tried to trick the flying cat that she really really didn't know. She turned her head to the salamander smiling at the blue cat's reaction and ignoring any comment comes next.

Natsu laughed at the both and looked at Lucy "The kitchen is over there" he gestured the direction with his hand. After Lucy left the place the silence appeared again in the place while the both mages and the cat were staring at the salamander, he was staring at the ground.

"So..." Erza started catching his attention to cut out the silence. "What will you do today?" she asked trying to change the atmosphere putting her right leg on the other one. Natsu looked at her for a moment trying to figure what is the question for. He rubbed his hair.

"I don't know yet, I think I will take this day off"

Their eyes widened at hearing something like that they didn't believe that the salamander actually is going to take a day off. He was just so stubborn that he didn't listen to anyone and take a rest but now he says that he is going to take the day off. "Really?" asked the black haired mage as he looked at the pink haired astounded of what he heard.

"Yeah, I need to take a rest at least once in a week because if I didn't do so I won't be able to make it in exam" he answered looking down at the ground.

"Then do you mind taking a job today?" Erza asked.

Natsu paused thinking about the thing asked "I don't know" he stared at the ground then raised his head to look at her "I really don't know" suddenly all of them heard crushing glasses coming from the kitchen they stood up quickly to head to the place Lucy were in.

"Lucy are you hurt?" the black haired mage asked closing the distance between him and his friend. He found that she hurt her arm a little and started to bleed. Lucy smiled and looked at him while holding some plates that she was able to protect before it would fall and get crushed.

"Sorry Natsu, Happy I'm really sorry" she told him apologizing from what happened as she held her bleeding hand.

"Let me see your hand" Erza said grabbing the blonde's wrist.

"It's alright, Lucy" the blue cat flew next to the ice mage looking at the blonde "do you feel pain?".

There stood Natsu in front of the door narrowing his eyes looking at the blonde's rushing down her hand. He felt that the memories slowly come back again, he tried to hold himself from doing anything. He felt his sweat drop in his cheeks as he started to step back to not let his friends realize his state but unfortunately for him the ice mage realized it and looked at him to find that nervous look in his eyes.

"Natsu?" he called him catching his attention. Natsu snapped his head to him forcing a smile on his lips but he was easily caught.

"W-what?" he rested his hand on the door looking at him while he tried his best not to stare at the blood vision in front of him.

"Natsu, you alright?" asked the blonde while the swords' woman was wrapping a bandage around her injured wrist.

"Y-yeah... I'm f-" he couldn't keep looking at her like that then he ran to the living room leaving his friends in the kitchen alone. The group shared a look before calling his name over and over again. After finishing what they were doing the four of them hurried to him as they saw the pink haired boy sitting down in his couch burying his face in his hand breathing heavily.

The blood vision, the smell of it, everything is red reminds him with the worst day in his life. It reminds him with the most painful and the suffer he had went through. He can't say anything, he can't spell a single word. It's like a fire when he simply think what will happen to him when he talks?!

"Natsu" Erza said siting beside him grabbing his shoulder softly. "Natsu look at me" she ordered him but without any benefits. She looked at her friends and found a worry look in their eyes.

"Please, j-just stay away for now" he finally talked but was still burying his face down on his hand.

"Na-" the blonde was about to say his name but the pink haired stopped her.

"Please go, I c-can't even s-smell it"
