Dick sat on the Gotham roof tops, the early morning wind was biting at his and the hole in the front of his suit like a knife, telling him he had made a mistake, telling him to go home, to go to Bruce, to work this out, but he didn't, because he was stubborn and because he knew if the quarrels they had them didn't end now, they never would. Dick wasn't going back, no. Never.
He tighten the grip his arms had around his knees and pulled them closer to his chest so he could rest his head on top, he could hear the traffic down below just starting for the day, the chaos, and just thinking about that made him wonder if Bruce was really even looking for him, even Dick knew the city was more important then the fighting going on between them but he just couldn't help wonder if Bruce even really care about him...or what he wanted him to be.
His mind ventured back to what Superman had told him a few weeks ago, and remembered his options. What he could do, he could give this life up, and actually put more time into school. He could chose a new name a new suit and become someone else, a new vigilante. Some who could do good in Gotham without having to order to the man with wings.
Dick huffed a breath and looked away, he sounded like Barbara and Conner`s imaginary character, Nightwing.
"Lonely?"
Dick jumped to his feet and pulled out two batarangs, how could he not remember that cool voice, if you weren't carful you couldn't detect the venom in her voice, "Cheshire." Dick growled, "What the hell do you want."
The girl smiled behind the mask, he knew she was, "Cant a girl just take a walk around town, maybe chat up some old friends?"
"I`m not your friend." Dick spat back, Cheshire chuckled a little laugh, "We used to be, so what now that you have goodie to shoe friends you don't need the only real friend you ever had before them?"
"Your bringing this up here, Now? It`s been three years since I really last talked to you minus the encounters with the team over that time." Dick stated pointedly he held the sharp metal harder in his hands. and she noticed, "Stressed little bird?"
"Don't call me that." Dick hissed, "Not anymore."
Of course Dick had meant one thing while she figured out another, along with the whole in his shirt where the plain R used to be, she pulled off her mask and Dick was surprised to see something akin to comfort or pity. He didn't need it.
"So he dumped you a sack of puppies, did he. Dick-,"
"Don't," Dick hissed his eyes burning holes into her, he pointed the batarang at her, "Batman is not my mentor anymore so who`s to say I wont kill you now."
Cheshire laughed with real humor, "You really have forgotten haven't you, how good of buddies we used to be, I knew you plan`s Dick, you killed with purpose, and," she pushed the metal aside, "I don't think you want to fall off the wagon now, it`ll give Bats more to be ashamed about."
"Shut up, You don't know anything about me, or him." Dick hissed.
"How many times do I have to remind you Dickie-bird." Cheshire smiled walking over to him and putting a finger under his chin to pull his head up slightly, "I know everything about you, and weather or not you like it, you know you miss it, you old life, if you want," she leaded down to his ear and her voice became a whisper, "I maybe could pursued Talia into taking back her beloved son, don't tell me that you wont at least think about, because I do know you. Good bye Dick."

Dick had gone back to the house for a short while, but had gone threw the window so that no one would see him, hear him, or especially question him, he didn't want or need it today. He ended up grabbing a few lines of clothing and a folder in his desk he might need come if worst came knocking. He shoved what he could into a duffle bag along with the folder.
He flipped out of the window ran to the garage to grab the bike, Dick paused at the door, Jason was there sitting on the roof of one of the sports cars, playing with his hands and swinging his legs back and forth.
"Jay." Dick said, he didn't want to startle the kid off the back by sneaking up on him. the boy looked up with the mixture of green and blue eyes, Jason jumped off of the car and ran over to him, "Please don't leave, Bruce told me-,"
"IT doesn't matter what Bruce told you, I`m not...leaving for good, just for a couple of days, to get this all sorted out, ok?" Dick stated. Jason frowned, "you quit, I thought you loved being Robin."
Dick kneeled down and put a hand on Jason`s shoulder, "I do, at least I did, but a name does not make you who you are and I want you to remember that okay, "Jason nodded and Dick continued, "your my brother threw an threw JayJay, I couldn't leave you here to face Bruce by yourself, but I have to go and I chose to leave Robin behind, promise you be good till I get back?"
"I promise," Jason said, "Bruce told me to contact him when you go here, should I?"
Dick bit his cheek, Brace had cameras in the outside of the garage, they wouldn't go off just he could watch them again to make sure Jason was telling the truth if he said he didn't see him, he didn't want Jason in the middle of their battle and was kind of pissed put him there.
Dick stood up and put the bag around his own torso, "Yeah, go ahead."
Jason quickly hugged him before pulling away and letting Dick get on the bike, Dick watch Jason pull out the phone and press call, the moment the kid put the phone to his ear did Dick start the bike and drive off.
