Chapter Eleven; Day Four- Sweetie
Angel's P.O.V.
"Oh c'mon, man. We know you saw something." I heard Jason say to Butch and I tensed.
"I didn't." He sighed, "She was way to quick, I'll have to move faster next time."
I threw a heated glare at him, "There will be no next time. Your lucky I'm blaming Alec, or-"
I felt a hand on my waist, "Or what? You'll threaten me to death?"
I turned and backed away from him, "I-"
"Have a big mouth and no muscle to back it up." Butch droned, stripping out of his shirt and pants.
I flushed, "What are you-?!"
His eyes flashed, confused, before they turned cat like, "Relax, Angel, I'm just going to sleep."
"Nude?!" I questioned, looking away, "My bed is right next to yours, I would appreciate it if you would attempt to have a sense of decency!"
Butch grabbed my chin, wearing a Cheshire grin, "And I would appreciate it if you didn't act like such a stiff when it came to skin. Damn, I mean, Boomer was Abnegation and he-"
Butch didn't have to finish that sentence cause at that moment, Boomer strolled by in all his glory, a towel around his shoulders.
"Sup guys." He greeted, facing us as I looked up at the ceiling.
"Fuck man, don't wave that thing at us." Butch laughed.
I swallowed hysteria. Whatever thing he was waving, I didn't care to know.
"How the heck were you in Abnegation?" BC snickered, appearing by my side.
Boomer laughed, "In all honesty, I got slapped a lot. Don't know what the hell those girl's problems were with a little skinny dipping.'
"Your an idiot." A new, weak voice sounded and I peeked at him.
He had blonde hair, a shade lighter than Boomer's, and warm brown eyes.
"Cody!" Boomer interjected and I heard a hug commence.
"No! Off! Gah, it's touching my leg! Dude, get off!" Cody recoiled.
"Whoops." Boomer chuckled, chipper as ever, "My bad."
"Yeah, your bad- Go get some clothes on, moron!" Cody shuddered.
"Okay, Angel, crisis averted." Butch joked and I looked back at him.
"You could stand to put something on as well." I said acidly.
"Is this the Amity girl?" Cody asked BC.
"Yeah, she's an uptight one." BC said fondly.
"It's not uptight to not want to be surrounded by naked men!" I argued.
Eve shook her head, appearing form the bathroom, "Maybe not, but it is weird. That happens to be one of my biggest dreams."
As the conversation topic switched to lewd dreams, I tuned out and laid on the bed.
These shameless people had become my friends?! I scratched at the collar on my neck. Well, not friends, not all of them, but... familiars. And not completely hostile ones at that... Well, some of them...
I stopped thinking, realizing I was only confusing myself and making my head hurt.
The Next Morning
Angel's P.O.V.
"Harder!" Alec barked in my ear and I flinched, before obediently kicking the bag with all of my strength.
"That's not hard enough!" He shouted.
"I'm right here!" I snapped, "Yelling isn't doing anything but pissing me off! And I'm hitting as hard as I can! I'm not exactly a freaking tank if you haven't noticed!"
He sized me up, slowly, from head to toe.
And then he shook his head, "You don't have an ounce of muscle anywhere on your body."
I bristled, "Don't sugarcoat it, please."
Alec scowled, "And that smart ass attitude is just going to get you into trouble if you don't have the fighting skills to back it up."
First Butch and now Alec too? Why not just get 'Weakling' branded on my forehead.
I grinned bitingly, "That's the only reason I came here. To back up my smart mouth."
"I don't buy that." He said, dead serious, "Your test results were Amity. Your obviously a sweet girl-"
He got sweet from my sarcastic remarks and snarling?!
"-So what made you choose Dauntless?" He asked.
I tensed up, but forced a smile, "I heard the guys were smokin'."
I blew him a kiss and aimed another kick at the bag.
He sighed, "You might as well just stop with that, Initiate."
"You telling me to give up?" I grunted as I kicked again.
He almost laughed, "No, I'm telling you to move onto weights. Sparring starts at the end of the week and if your still a twig by then, you'll get knocked out more than a few times."
"You always have such good news." I huffed as I took off my jacket and tied it around my waist, "The end of the week? How am I supposed to get stronger in a few days?"
He smirked, "You might not, but its a start. I've got a feeling you'll get the hang of things after you get your ass kicked a few times."
He sighed dreamily, "I can't wait to see that."
"You don't like me at all, do you?" I said with mock hurt, "And here I thought we were becoming the bestest of friends."
He let out a strangled laugh and I stomped over to the weights.
I refused to let any of the initiates knock me out, it had already happened once here and I didn't plan on going through it again.
AN; And the plot begins! There were a few important things in my previous chapters, but the point of the story is starting to peek through so keep your eyes open and all that shit! Review!
