Renji was sent rocketing into a large piece of rock and blood gushed out from his wound. A few words came out of his mouth, but from my distance, I couldn't hear a thing.
I looked away from the sight. I wish there was something I could've done…but then, what could I have done in this situation?
"DAMN IT!" cried out Renji, trying to move. I sighed and stood up. I started walking over to him when I saw Renji grabbing berry-boy's collar. "You better save Rukia or I'm going to kill you! I swear, I'm going to kill you!"
"That's why I'm here. I will save her, I promise you that," said Ichigo with a determined look on his face.
"And you know we'll save her, Renji. We won't let them execute her, you have our word," I said. It wasn't long after I said that that berry-boy fell to his knees. He has lost a lot of blood…dang. I'm actually starting to get used to the sight of blood whether I like it or not. I turned around and called Ganju and Hanatarou over.
Ganju carried berry-boy and looked at me.
"So, are we going to part ways now?" he asked.
"No, not really. Change of plans. You guys go ahead and I'll catch up in a minute or two," I told him.
"Righto, we're going back to the sewers," stated Ganju. As he walked away, I heard him mutter, "Never knew I would actually have to say that in my life."
Yeah…no one says that on a daily basis unless they're ninja turtles (if they do say that). I turned around and saw that Renji was still conscious.
"Yo, Renji," I said in a quiet tone.
"You're…still here? Get going…already, they'll be coming soon," he responded.
"I'll do that in a second, but I've got something important to tell you. You said that Rukia had lost all her powers. Listen close, I'm going to let you on in a secret. As long as Rukia stays in Soul Society, she'll regain her powers once more. After all, the amount of soul particles in Soul Society is undeniably very high. So don't you worry about her," I told him. "By the way, you're not allowed to relay this information for now."
He was silent for a moment, taking in the information that I told him of.
"Thank you…," he said finally.
"Nothing beats good news. Now, rest and uh…just be prepared for any unfortunate circumstances," I said. The unfortunate circumstances that I was talking about was that Renji would be held in prison. Captain Byakuya is not the nicest guy on Earth. Hell, next to Marco Pierre White, I'd piss my pants if I saw that captain. He's scary as hell at times.
Red-head was already asleep. He stopped bleeding already so there wasn't much else to worry about.
"Aoryuu, can you summon my clone?" I asked.
"It's done," he said. I looked to my right and saw another me standing there. It felt weird to see a copy of me, but I bet it'd be weird for anyone's first time.
"Yo, me! You got something for me to do?" it said.
"You bet! You stay with Renji boy here and since you look like a shinigami, act like one and somehow warn all the captains about Aizen. They'll all meet up soon and might ask you about the intruders. Careful, though, you know that Aizen will be there too so don't be too shabby in front of the deception king," I told her.
"I know that well! I'll pull out if any infos in danger of spillin' out! Aizen's illusionary abilities won't touch this gurl!"
"I'll be going now, tell all the captains I said hi!"
My clone did a salute and smiled.
"Your weirdness knows no ends, brat. Come on, let's go back to the others. Practise your reiatsu sensing while you're at it, you're gonna need it," said Aoryuu.
You still call me a brat, huh?
I followed Ganju's reiatsu down into the sewage and covered my nose with my hood again. I found where berry-boy and the others were.
"Yo, I'm back," I said.
"Oh, hello, Ryoko-san," responded Hana.
"How's berry-boy doing?" I asked.
"He's doing fine. The wound wasn't as deep as I thought but I think it's because of the mask hidden in his clothes," answered Hana. "Ganju has it."
I saw Ganju leaning against the wall, inspecting the mask.
"Bandana-boy, can I see that for a moment?" I requested. He gave the mask to me.
Yep, it was the same hollow mask berry-boy had. It had the diagonal slash mark that came from Zabimaru. The supposed "lucky charm".
"Looks exactly like a hollow mask. You know anything about it?" Ganju questioned, looking expectant. Telling them…might be risky. They'd found out later anyway.
"Dunno."
"Dunno? What's that?"
"Eh, just a real world's slang. Dunno is don't know."
"Huh…you mean to tell me that you, a psychic who knows everything, don't know what this mask is?"
I shrugged. "Don't always assume that I know everything. Well, reason I'm not telling you is because no one should know it yet. Hell, even Ichigo doesn't know about it."
"So even a psychic has restrictions."
"Spilling things about the future is dangerous. Sure, I can share minor details but not top-secret things. It might ruin the balance of time, no? Know better, Ganju-boy, everything has a limit."
"Hmph, acting old already, huh?"
"I have a reason to. Mind the padlock, boy."
I looked at the unconscious berry-boy and observed the mask again. You're here, I know it. Waiting for a chance to strike, but sadly, I can't let you do that, hollow Ichigo.
