It was early in the morning, and snow had already started to dance around the sky like small cotton balls and ice trucks all over the academy. I walked through the common doors with my bags already done. There was no one in sight and that was exactly what i needed to fulfill my new found task. I walked through the cafeteria, without a fear of being discovered. As a academy specialized for "Vampires" our schedule was arrange around nighttime which meant that during daytime we were supposed to be fast asleep.

Fools, i thought.

Kirova, certainly thought that i would be asleep, that i would probably not know what had been going on in the past few days. But i was 5 steps ahead of the game. I smiled as i observed the cafeteria area, it was deserted just as i expected. Rose Hathaway always left with a bang, and what better way to leave the Academy's grounds than to prank the whole school. I looked down at my clock, 8 am. The sunlight invaded the cafeteria like dashing rays of lightning. I sighed, 5 hours more in these grounds, only five, and then i would be happy away at the Skii Resort with Lissa and Mase. Kirova owed a long debt to me, by making me go through hell the last 7 days and i wasnt going away to the Skii Resort on my "best" behavior, in some way she had to pay. I smiled once again, and then i put to fingers on my lips and whistled. In less than 3 minutes the whole cafeteria was invaded with Dhampirs and Moroi students all with wide smiles staring up to me as i stood on the top of a table.

"Now what Rose!" a few Moroi yelled.

"Now." i said staring at my small audience to make a tension invade the crowd. "We prove to Kirova that-" i said slowly smiling one more time. "She isn't the one calling all the shots anymore." i said with a small laugh. The crowd seemed to grow wild in anticipation.

"Stop" i ordered. "Now lets do what we do best."

The Moroi and the Dhampirs stared up to me with wide anxious smiles, their was a sinister darkness to each one of their smiles. They turned around with elegant speed and started to wreck the whole cafeteria ground. Moroi used their powers, wind, water, fire and earth came together to destroy the common area, Dhampirs with their abnormal speed and strength wrecked the tables and the doors.

Lissa stood by my side, staring in horror at the common area.

"Rose." she pleaded as she stared at me.

"Calm down Liss." i said softly

"We will get into trouble." she said

"What is the fun about a trip if we dont get our Novice prank done." Mase argued.

"Mase is right." Christian said as he came closer.

"The seniors have done it before, now we call the shots." he continued. "Besides, we are on our worst behavior." he said with a devilish grin.

"Probably with all this Kirova will get a heart attack." Lissa said, observing the room.

"Good." i said. "Then she wont be such a pain in my ass." i said with a grin.

"Rose!" Lissa exclaimed. I smiled once more and she couldnt help it anymore and giggle.

"Don't leave any evidence of us." i ordered.

The Dhampir searched for any clues which could uncover us but found none. The moroi snickered and chattered in their own corner. They must be proud of what they had done, who doesn't like to presume their powers to others?

It was already time to wake up in Vampiric hours and i was tired out of my mind. The alarm had woken all of us up 2 hours earlier and for as much as i knew this was never good.

We walked into the common doors, into the cafeteria, the mess was still intact and Kirova and other Dhampir's stood near Kirova. Kirova stared at us with a mean glance as we entered each one of us slowly processing the room, it was the best way to look innocent. When we were all inside Kirova stared a few minutes more and stood up straighter to start her speech.

"It is such a shame." she said. "That students inside of this academy would come together and destroy such a beautiful place." she spoke loudly filled with anger.

I stared around the room, and my eyes caught the most gorgeous and dasling person of all. Dimitri, he was standing their at the far end of the cafeteria with his freshly washed hair and his perfect guardian stance listening carefully to Kirova. My breath caught in my throat as i continued watching him, and studying his every move and feature. A few minutes later he caught my glance, for only a minute and i turned to look away back at Kirova who continued giving her speech. My heart raced and i leaned closer to Mason, placing my head carefully in his shoulder. Mase stared down at me and smiled, wrapping his arms around me. A looked back at Dimitri, who stared at me with a perfectly cool serenity, his perfect guardian mask. He looked away immediately and stared back at Kirova.

"This mess." she said. "Is unforgivable, a disgrace in the academy's name." the crowd grew tense.

"And i know exactly the one's who have been involved in this horror." she said. The crowd started to murmur and tense once again.

"ENOUGH!" She yelled, but the crowd kept talking and murmuring to themselves. "SILENCE!" she yelled at the top of her lungs as a sudden crash was heard along the room. Everyone became quiet once more, my heart raced faster but i kept my control. Kirova nodded pleased by her words.

"I know the one who is behind all this mess." she said staring through the crowd. SHIT.. i thought, keep it cool Hathaway. Keep it cool. Inside my chest my anxiety levels were rising, and even though i tried to control them i wasnt succeding. Probably because Lissa was head striking nervous and her anxiety and fear kept running and growing in my chest. Calm down Liss. I thought. I grabbed Lissa's hand softly and smiled a reasuring smile at her which she gave back, but her feelings didnot change. The crowd murmured once again and all heads fell on me, i stared anxiously at the crowd whose gazes fell on me.

"What are all of you staring at me for." i snarled back, anxiously.

"Rose.." Lissa said, i stared back at Lissa who stared straight ahead at the Headmistress. Kirova's eyes layed on me. With a elegant gesture she raised her hand and pointed directly at me. "Hathaway." she said. "It was you behind this all wasnt it." she said gesturing to the whole room. "Since you are the one to blame for such disgrace." she said quietly. "You are now and forever expelled from Saint Vladimirs Academy." the crowd grew wild and Lissa's nerves shot to the sky as i felt her dizziness and fear grow even more. I stared in shock at the headmistress, not able to process her harsh words. "Leave now." she said gesturing to the door. To Dhampir's walked to me and grabbed me by both arms. Staring along the room i could see Dimitri's shocked and horrored face as he stared right at me with fear in his beautiful brown eyes.

NEXT CHAPTER SPOILERS:

Dimitri stared to move through the crowd, pushing moroi and dhampir's apart from the crowd until he reached my side only to be stopped by my possessive captors.

"You cant do this." He said loudly, staring at Kirova.

"Its already done." she announced softly. Both dhampir's who were holding me in place, now tore me away from the crowd and pushed me through the common doors. Dimitri stayed their paralyzed in his spot, as he stared back at me with fear. Lissa moved through the crowd trying to pass through.

"Rose!" she yelled. "Rose!" once again. Her voice tored my soul apart, and i stared back at her, her horror eyes were now washed into tearing sad eyes. We moved farther away were i couldn't see her anymore but the voice still rang in my head and in my ears. The dhampirs kept pushing me away from the common ground and i couldn't help but stare at them in fear, fear of my new destiny...
