I have nothing to say really but enjoy! Oh yeah, sorry if it is rushed. I needed it to get out of my system before I forget ^_^
After staying in the hospital for about a month, I was finally able to leave. My father did not come and pick me up; instead he got one of his men to do that. I asked the man why my father was not here. He answered with 'he was busy with his work.' Right busy, it seemed work was more important to him then his daughter.
I went home by car; it took about forty minutes from the hospital to get back home. Usually, you would expect a giant celebration such as a get well party or welcome home. But when I entered the house, it was empty. No one was home. No butler, no maid, nothing. As I walked through the house, I noticed all the photos were down, not a single family photo was up. Curious, I asked the man who brought me here.
"Where is everyone?"
"They are gone."
"Where?"
"I don't know."
"Why did they go?"
"Because they don't work here anymore."
"Why?"
"Your father decided they are not needed."
"Is he home? Father?"
The man shook his head.
A FEW HOURS LATER
It was now evening. The man stayed with me till my father came home, after that he left the house. Leaving me with my father at the dining room. While we ate, silence filled the room. All that could be heard was the heavy rain which pounded the rooftop.
I tried breaking the silence.
"Father?"
"..."
"Father?"
"..."
"I am finish now. I will be going into my room now."
As I tucked my chair in, I headed for the kitchen and washed my dirty plate. After doing that, I went back into the dining room and gave my father a kiss on the cheek. But still no response from him.
"Uh... goodnight father."
"..."
"I love you father."
"..."
"Arianna."
"Yes father!"
"Goodbye."
"Bye?"
I went to my bedroom, which was now empty aswell. All that was left were cupboards with clothes and my bed. The photos which hanged on the walls were taken down.
It was dark and the rain grew heavier. I made my way to my bed. Tucking myself in, I drifted into my sleep.
I thought everything would go back to normal until the next day.
I woke up with the sun shining on my face. Annoyed, I threw the blanket over my head and continued sleeping. When suddenly, I saw a shadow hovering over through my blanket.
I gently removed my blanket to see who it was.
"Who are you?"
I saw a lady, standing near my door.
"You must be Arianna. Right?"
I nodded my head. How did she know my name? And why is she in the house, in my bedroom?
"Right, sweetie. I have to tell you something but I can't tell you here."
The lady took me by my hand and led me out of the room.
"Where are we going?"
"Somewhere."
"Where?"
"To... Hello Kitty land."
Back then I was only around five or six, so I believed every word she said.
"Where is father?"
The lady did not answer me; she just ignored me and continued walking. I tried asking again.
"Where is father?"
She still did not say anything, I began to get anxious. What was going on? Because my room was in the back of the house on the top floor, we had to go pass every room. To the main door, we passed my father's room. I took this opportunity to call for him.
"Father! Father! Father!"
"Stop doing that!" The lady hissed at me.
I looked at her scared, why did she say that? And why is father not answering? Does he know that I was being taken away by this lady?
"Why is father not answering? Where is daddy?! I want to see him!"
I tried to nudge the lady but it was no use. She sped her pace up; she wanted to get out of the house as soon as possible. Not wanting to go, until I get answers. I dug my feet into the carpet floor, causing us to slow down. The lady let go of me and turned around to see my angry face.
"I want answers! Where is father?!"
"Don't ask we have to go now!"
"Not until I know where father is!"
"Stop asking questions Arianna!"
"No!"
Like most misbehaved children, I kicked the lady on the shin and ran to my father's room. She followed me behind. Luckily, I just managed to make it into my father's room.
I thought he would come and help me. Like how all fathers help their little princesses. I thought he would take me away from this lady. I was wrong.
When I entered his room, a crowd of grown people gathered around his bed.
"Where is father?"
They all looked at me, there expressions varied. Some were shocked, some looked angry and some were upset.
"Where is father?"
They all moved away from his bed and to my eyes. My father laid on the bed, dead.
I ran to his bed and tried to wake him up
"Father!"
I tried calling out to him, nothing. No response.
"Father!"
Nothing.
"Daddy, don't leave me! Daddy! Daddy!"
It was too late. Death seemed to have taken him away.
After my father's death, I was taken to an orphanage in Kyoto. There I stayed for about a few months, quite after someone had told me about my father's will and his death. On the night before he died, he had taken some pills and overdosed himself. The person tried telling me he was probably stressed and depressed after what happened. They then told me about his will. Surprisingly, all his property was now under my name.
However, because I was a minor. I was unable to touch any money or property given to me. So I stayed in the orphanage but luckily I was adopted after a period of seven months.
Those who adopted me were a couple, well off and loving but very busy people.
After they adopted me, I stayed in their house in Kyoto. But I hardly ever saw them, in the house; they would always have a maid looking after me. On weekdays they would never come home until late at night. I thought I was being neglected. But that was proven wrong; they always tried their best to make it to my school events and they would always celebrate my birthday, they would be there on Christmas, they always made an effort.
Two years passed, I was now nine and my parents decided to put me in a new school because we were moving to the other side of Kyoto. She enrolled me in a private school near where we lived. Since I moved halfway through elementary, when I got to the school, everyone knew each other. So I felt out of place.
Like most first days, my first day went out badly. I did not talk to a single person and news about me got out fast. This school was private, so most students here were the usual snobby rich idiots who like to pick on anyone that looked weak. Obviously I was there target.
For the first few weeks, I had became a victim of their ridiculous thoughts. I did not tell my parents this, as they would worry about me. They were busy people, so I did not want to make them even stressed out.
Two Weeks Later
I had managed to settle in at school. Thankfully, I was not picked on anymore. The idiots must have grown bored and no gossip about me went around the school. Also I had also managed to make a couple of friends, which made me quite happy. Sadly, I was only able to see them during school. They all lived out of Kyoto and had a driver picking them up every day.
An April Monday
I was heading for school, like every other day. I also had someone bringing to school in the mornings, in the afternoons my mum would pick me up.
When I arrived at school, there was a big commotion. A crowd of teachers were gathered around someone. Interested, I went to go and investigate what was going on. As I did, the school bell rang, and the teachers moved out. I did the same thing and went to class. I sat myself down, ready for class like always. Wandering what was happening?
Weirdly enough, my question was answered.
"Right class! We have someone here today!"
It was a new student maybe that was why there were so many teachers flocked around. But how important was this student?
I could see through the glass on the door, a silhouette of what appeared to be a boy. He looked short and had spiky hair. Who was he?
The teacher opened the door and allowed the boy to come in. As he walked in, I could finally make out who he was.
"Hello everybody, my name is Akashi Seijuro."
It was Sei-Chan!
It was now the end of the day. As always I waited for my mum, I could not wait to tell her the news. She would most definitely be happy for me.
As I waited, it grew dark. I said goodbye to all my friends who now entered their cars and drove off. It was now just me and Akashi left.
"Arianna?"
"Yeah."
"I did not know you go to this school."
"What! Silly, I am in your class."
"Really? I did not see you."
"Yeah right, yes you did. You just did not want to say anything."
"Eh? Is that so?"
"Yes!"
We both chuckled. As we did, my mother arrived to pick me up. Overjoyed, I immediately told her what happened today. As I did, Akashi showed a funny expression which made both me and my mum laugh.
"Well it is time for me to go now Sei-Chan. Bye!"
"Bye Arianna!"
I waved goodbye to him as me and my mum walked back home. Right now, I was probably the happiest I had ever been for the past few years.
This continued on till middle school, although there were slight changes such as me going home with him but every day I would go with Akashi to school and back home. After I turned ten, I found out that my parents were friends with the Akashi family (it's a small world). So my father never tried interrogating him, thankfully.
When I got to middle school, I met all sorts of people. Including Kuroko, Kise, Aomine, Midorima, Murasakibara and Momoi. Because of Akashi, I was able to forget my past and keep looking forward.
I thought it would stay like that for a long time. Turns out it did not.
Aigoo!
