Please don't kill me. I know I wrote another short and awful chapter, but I need some filler(ish) to keep me occupied with the story. Don't worry, plot relevent stuff is going to happen soon.

Tobi walked into Chakura Town, taking in the sights of the small, rural town. Just then, he heard footsteps behind him, and turned to see Kuna walking along the trail into town also.
Kuna spotted Tobi and scowled, and Tobi sent a glare his way. Kuna just walked on past him and looked for a pokecenter. The smallness of the town made it easy for Kuna to locate, and he smiled at the familiarity of it.
Tobi and Kuna healed their pokemon, and then left the building to locate the gym.
Tobi found it first, and ran inside, Kuna following slowly behind him.
A tall man with tan skin and red hair stood inside. "Welcome, Im Tai. I see you two want to battle to win badges."
He walked closer to them. "However, in this gym, things work a little differently from what you'd see in most gyms."
Kuna nervously asked what Tai meant. Tai gestured to behind him, where there was an arena full of trainers fighting.
"Trainers don't earn badges by fighting the gym leader, they earn them by battling eachother. Every trainer must fight in our tournament. Anyone who lasts at least 20 minutes in the finale round gets a badge, and the winner of the final round gets a special prize. There are 3 rounds: one with every participating training, one with the top five trainers from the previous round, and a final round with 2 remaining trainers."
"What do you kids think of that? You up to join our tournament?"
Smiling at the idea of a good challenge, Tobi nodded. Kuna nodded too, though less enthusiastically.
Tobi sent out Starly, who made quick work KOing the opponents beedrill. Soon, the next trainer was came forward, and Tobi prepared himself to battle.
Kuna told Shinx to thundershock his opponent's hoothoot and soon KOed it. He gulped but readied himself for the next battle.
Shinx was on a role. She was KOing enemies left and right, using thunder attacks on enemies as needed. Houndour and Yu also put up pretty good fights, but Shinx had the most determination.
Kuna looked over to where Tobi was battling his next trainer. He was determined not to be outshined by his rival.
Finally, there were only five remaining trainers left, Kuna and Tobi included.
Tai shouted to the trainers in the arena. "Great job trainers! You have proven yourselves worthy of being in the top 5. But only 2 of you can make it to the final round. Heal up and prepare yourselves!"
They readied themselves for round 2.
The first trainer was taken out almost immediately.
Tobi was up against a trainer with 4 Pokemon. Kuna was up against a trainer with 3.
The winners of these next matches would make it to round 3.
Tobi's opponent sent out a turtwig, and Tobi sent out Starly. Starly used wing attack, and the trainer swapped out, sending in a clefable. Clefable used pound, but it did not do much damage.
Starly was soon able to KO Clefable, though she had lost a lot health in the process.
The opposing trainer sent out poliwhirl, and Tobi swapped out Starly for Oddish. Soon, Polywhirl was defeated.
Tobi's opponent sent out Turtwig again, and Oddish cut down his health quite a bit before the trainer swapped out Turtwig for a poochyena.
Poochyena's tackle manage to do some damage to Oddish, who had little health left. Oddish used vine whip on Poochyena, but Poochyenas bite managed to KO Oddish.
Tobi sent out Chairo, who used shadowball to KO Poochyena. Turtwig was sent out, and Chairo quickly was able to cut down the last of Turtwigs health, defeating the opponent.
Tobi was moving on to the last round.
Kuna's opponent sent out a raticate, and Kuna sent out You.
Yu used quick attack, and Raticate lost some health, but returned the favor with hyper fang. Yu's managed to get in a shadow ball. Raticate lost more health, and struck Yu with a bite.
Yu had lost a lot of health, but managed to KO Raticate with one last shadow ball.
Kuna swapped in Shinx while his opponent sent out a pachirisu. The two electric pokemon exchanged blows back and forth, and Pachirisu fainted.
The opponent sent out a geodude, who promptly KOed Shinx with a rockslide. Kuna sent out Houndour, who managed to get a burn on Geodude, but since most of his attacks weren't very effective, Geodude soon KOed Houndour, though not without losing a lot of HP in the process.
If Kuna could just get two more attacks in, he could win. He sent out Yu. Geodude used rockslide, but missed. Yu's shadow ball hit him, and the burn managed to KO Geodude.
Kuna had made it, and now he would make it to the final round, where it would be him against Tobi.
"You 2 lucky trainers have survived to the final round! If you can survive 20 minutes, you earn your badge. The winner of the match gets a special prize." He held up a bell-like object. "Today's prize is a soothe bell!"
Toby and Kuna faced each other. Kuna sent out Shinx, and Toby sent out Chairo. "Shinx! Thunder!" Chairo lost a little HP, and hit back with a bite. 1 minute has passed.
Chairo dodges Shinxs thunder attack, and uses sand-attack. Shinxs next attack hits, but Chairo uses sand-attack once more. Shinx loses accuracy, and her next attack misses. A few more attacks, and Shinx is severely weakened. 5 minutes have passed.
Shinx manages to get in a thunderwave, and paralyze Chairo. Chairo is unable to attack. Both trainers change pokemon, Toby sending out Oddish while Kuna sends out Yu. 6 minutes have passed.
Oddish charges a solar beam, and gets hit by Yu's shadow ball. Solar beam finishes charging and Oddish hits Yu with a solar beam, taking a good chunk of HP. Yu bites Oddish, who flinches, and uses another bite, but this time is hit with vine whip. 9 minutes have passed.
Oddish charges up another Solar beam. Yu uses bite. Solar beam hits. Yu uses another bite, and KO's Oddish. Toby sends out Starly, who takes out the last of Yu's HP. Kuna sends out Houndour. 15 minutes have passed.
Houndour and Starly attack back and forth, until Houndour faints and Starly uses up most of her HP. Kuna sends out Shinx. 18 minutes have passed, Kuna just needed to hang on a little longer!
Shinx KO's Starly with a thunder. Toby sends out Chairo. Chairo uses tackle, but Shinx dodges, buying Kuna enough time to make it past the 20 minute mark.
Shinx tries to get in one more attack, but Chairo hits her with a quick attack and she faints.
"And the winner is...Tobi!" Tai came off the bleachers and handed Toby his soothe bell. Then he got out two gym badges and two TMs.
"You two get the Judo badge! You also get the TM for seismic toss. Thank you for taking part in our tournament!"
Toby smiled at his soothe bell, and turned to see Kuna fixing him with a harsh glare. Toby narrowed his eyes.
"You just can't be a good sport can you Kyoryokuna?"
Kuna responded, "Oh please, you just got lucky!"
"Just accept that I won because I'm actually a great trainer!"
"Im just as good of a trainer as you!"
"Then why are you getting to defensive over losing!?"
Kuna shot Toby a nasty look. With a huff, he left.
Toby scowled, but left also.
They headed off for the next town, blood boiling.

I suck at writing battle , I know! I should write an entire chapter that's nothing but battling! Sounds like a great idea! *Sarcasm*
