Chapter 11

"So you're still alive then" Shiro chuckled. "I think so" Hao mumbled. His face was swollen and bruised and his cheeks looked like they belonged to chipmunks. Vicky smirked as she ate an Orange. "That's what you get for pouring cold water on me".

"I gotta say you've done a very good job of beating him up, we could use someone like you in the resistance" Shiro announced with a smile. "Really?" Vicky cried excitedly as she leapt up. Shiro sweat dropped as she leaned close and stared at him repeating "Really? Really?"

"Uhh Yeah" Shiro replied. Vicky suddenly hugged him tightly. "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou" she cheered really fast. Hao chuckled as he looked up and saw Shiro starting to go blue from lack of oxygen. "Hey Vicky you might want to let him go or you will find yourself being hunted by the resistance for murdering their captain by suffocation".

Vicky let Shiro go and turned to Hao. "Oh Ha Ha very funny" she replied sarcastically. Hao peeked at Shiro and saw him blushing bright pink. 'My, my he's a little embarrassed. Does he like Vicky?' Hao wondered.

"So whose team will we be joining?" Vicky pestered. Hao sat up. "I'm joining too" he announced. Shiro chuckled and stood up. "The two of you will be joining Captain Yuki's squad. She wants to meet you in bay seven. If you will excuse me I have to go and visit my team, they have been missing their captain for a while now".

"Okay, Bye Shiro" Vicky shouted as she waved happily. Hao stared at her before he #!*% a brow. "Do you like him or are you like that with everyone?" he asked. "With everyone" Vicky said but Hao saw her tiny blush. "Ok, whatever" Hao stated.

Vicky suddenly remembered something and jumped up. "I just remembered, Shiro said that Captain Yuki wanted to see us in bay… what was it?"

"Seven" Hao answered. "Right Seven, let's go" Vicky continued. Hao sweat dropped as Vicky grabbed his arm and dragged him out of his seat and down the corridor. "Where do you get all of this energy from?" Hao asked incredulously. "Who knows" Vicky shrugged. "You should" Hao retorted. "Whatever" She replied.

"Hey bay seven is there, you just walked past it" Hao stated as he dragged Vicky backwards. "Oh yeah, woops" Vicky chuckled as she sweat dropped. Hao mentally face palmed. "Well let's introduce ourselves" Vicky giggled as she opened the door to bay seven.

A large group of people were in bay seven. They were all talking amongst themselves and didn't notice the two newcomers. A Teenage girl who looked the same age as Vicky, Shiro and Hao (fifteen not 1015!) was stood up at the front on top of a small platform so that everyone could see her.

She had long chestnut hair which had been tied back into a ponytail to keep it out of her face but a small lose bang had escaped and hung over her nose. She had small rosy red lips and a rounded face. Her golden eyes carefully surveyed the room.

Once she spotted Vicky and Hao she raised her hand and loudly cleared her throat, catching everyone's attention. "Now that we are all here we can finally begin" she announced. Everyone turned and looked at Hao and Vicky.

"Uhh, hi there my name's Vicky. It's nice to meet you" she stated nervously. The girl on stage smiled at them before she addressed the group again. "For those of you who don't know I am Yuki, Captain of this squadron. We have a couple of new recruits who need to introduce themselves, after all our team is like a family".

The whole group spread out and stood in a circle. Yuki walked into the centre and gestured for Hao and Vicky to join. Hao and Vicky shuffled forwards and stood in a gap. "Please introduce yourselves" Yuki encouraged.

"Hi, I'm Vicky. I used to live on a planet called Alrenia before the demons came, enslaved my planet and forced me into a life of slavery on their ship" Vicky said causing a couple of the people to whisper to others.

"Hey I'm Hao Asakura. I was one of the most powerful shaman's on my planet Earth until my brother Yoh Asakura or who I am told is now Kuro, helped turn it into a sanctuary for demons".

Most people started murmuring to each other after that announcement. "Ok calm down people" Yuki commanded. Everyone was instantly silent. "Hao, Vicky. Welcome to the team" Yuki announced before she started to clap. Soon everyone was clapping.

"I feel really awkward now" Vicky whispered to Hao. "Same" he replied. Once the clapping died down Yuki addressed the group again. "Now then it's time for everyone to introduce themselves to Hao and Vicky. Denis you can start".

Everyone turned to look at a short blue haired man with aqua eyes. He smiled at everyone before he introduced himself. "Hi my name is Denis Walkman, I'm a specialist in hand to hand combat and-" he started before he was cut off by the sound of an alarm.

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH

"What's going on?" Vicky said as lights flashed red. Her question was answered by an announcement through the radios.

Five warships have warped into Horonthar airspace, I repeat five warships have warped into Horonthar airspace. Calling immediate evacuation to the base on Saldeen.

'Oh no they must have tracked the ship we stole' Vicky thought. She looked over at Hao and knew from looking at his expression that he had thought the exact same thing.

"Everyone onto the shuttle" Yuki yelled as she pointed to a medium sized carrier ship. They all rushed on and found a seat while Yuki made her way to the pilot cabin. Vicky was just strapping in when she realised something. "Hao" she said while tugging on his arm. He looked at her. "What?"

"What about Shiro?" she asked. "He's probably on another ship with his team so don't worry about it" Hao comforted her. The two of them strapped into their seats while Yuki started the ship.

"Everybody hold on it's gonna be a wild ride" Yuki yelled as the hanger doors opened and they flew out into the chaos.
