Two hours later we stopped for a break, I took a drink of water from the bottle I had from my bag. Out of the corner of my eye I caught Sasuke staring at me, with a sneer on his face

{Back to the good old days then, no communication}

I sighed and put my bottle away, slipping my hands into the pockets of my jacket my hand collided with something; I grabbed it and pulled it out. It was a locket, I opened it there was a photo of dad and mum holding a baby me.

{This was taken just before the sealing}

"What you got there Naruto?" Kakashi asked as he fell into step beside me, I passed it over to him "I remember this, I took this photo I have a matching one." He pulled a locket out from under his shirt and over his head before passing it to me. I opened it and saw a photo of Kakashi and dad holding a baby me. I smiled and handed it back to him and he handed mine back. I slipped the locket's chain over my head and tucked it under my shirt before focussing on the path a head of us.

Hours later when the sun started to set, we stopped to rest for the night sitting at the base of a tree, eating a snack from my bag, Kakashi had gone to fetch some fire wood I knew Sasuke was glaring at me I could feel his glare on my face but I refused to look at him, instead I pulled a book from my bag and began to read as Kakashi came back with firewood

"Sasuke stop glaring and help me set up the fire for tonight." Kakashi ordered, I sighed and continued to read as the night darkened, I put my book away and stared into the fire before pulling myself into a meditating position, like dad had showed me how as well as uncle Jiraiya. I sat like this focusing on relaxing and gathering energy until something hit me in the forehead, I frowned, but chose to ignore it and start again, until something hit me in the head again. I snapped my eyes open and glared at Sasuke who was wearing a smug smirk on his face, I sighed and closed my eyes again ignoring everything Sasuke threw at me as I fell into the trance uncle Jiraiya had told me about, it was the sage trance.

I don't know how long it had been but when I opened my eyes Sasuke was laying asleep on the floor and Kakashi was reading

"I see you've completed the transition, sensei warned me you were getting close to completing the change without going to the toads, I have to admit it is rather strange to look at." Kakashi said, I nodded and looked around nothing was different "Sasuke is due to wake up for watch soon, are you going to sleep?" I nodded

"It all clear right now by the way." He nodded and I laid down laying my head on my bag. Falling asleep almost instantly

Sasuke's Pov

Kakashi woke me up for watch and he went to sleep. I glanced over at Naruto's sleeping form, he had an orange colour covering his eyelids. I sighed

{I should just let it go, we haven't been the best of friends heck we weren't even friends until a few days ago...I don't even understand why I'm even jealous over him and Gaara communicating} I sighed again

"You sigh any louder you could wake the dead." Naruto commented, I looked over to him and saw that he was sat up looking at me, I frowned and looked away "Ignore me all you want Sasuke, but I've done nothing wrong to you, I've done nothing wrong to make you mad, if Kakashi-sensei wakes tell him to look up." I heard a rustling of leaves, I looked back to the spot where Naruto had been sat and saw him gone. I frowned

{He's right, he's done nothing wrong he's only written to his friend if he likes Gaara then that's his business, I shouldn't be mad at him I should be happy for him, enough is enough once we get to Suna in the morning I'll apologise to him}

"I'll take the rest of watch you get some more sleep." Naruto called, I smiled slightly and lay back down to go back to sleep.

Naruto's Pov

I watched as Sasuke lay back down and fall asleep. I sat up on a branch watching the camp below, I felt my energy drain from me slightly as my sage mode deactivated. I sighed

{No enough experience for it to last long enough, I need to spend some time with the toads some proper training with them}

I sat and watched for hours until the sun rose and Kakashi woke and glanced at Sasuke

"Naruto." I dropped down from the branch I was on, and landed next to him "You took over watch last night?" I nodded

"Yes, I couldn't sleep thought better to let him sleep." He nodded.

"Sasuke, wake up, time to get moving." Sasuke shifted and woke up. He sat up and looked at me, but I looked away and packed up my stuff, as did Kakashi and Sasuke. Once we were all finished we were off again, running again.

We made it to Suna by midday and were let through by the guards after they had checked our papers we were then led up to the council chambers. Once we arrived we were greeted by the council

"Ah, the group Minato sent, does one of you hold a message for us?" One of the council men asked, Kakashi nodded and pulled out the scroll handing it over to the councilman "Thank you, you are free to roam the village we should have a response for you before you go, young Naruto." I looked at the councilman

"Yes?"

"Master Gaara, has requested that when you arrive that you meet him training ground 3." I nodded at the councilman, before lowering my head

"Thanks." I jumped as I heard Sasuke growl beside me, and I flinched as a hand was put onto my shoulder

"We'll be taking our leave now, thank you." Kakashi said before leading us out of the room and into the main street. "Sasuke what you did in that room was unacceptable, you had no reason to growl at Naruto, whatever reason you have for being mad get over it, since Naruto has done no wrong to you, go take a walk." Sasuke didn't move, he only glared at Kakashi "Now!" Sasuke huffed and walked off "Come on Naruto we'll go see Gaara." I nodded and walked beside Kakashi, his arm wrapped around my shoulders as he was leading me towards the training ground where Gaara was stood waiting

"Why does Sasuke do this to me? Why does he go from one personality to another in a millisecond?"

"I don't know Naruto, it's something in his own mind that he needs to work through by himself, just let him deal by himself for a while us being around the whole time won't help, so you can spend some time with Gaara and I will go keep an eye on Sasuke, I will come get you before nightfall to take you back to the hotel alright?" I nodded, before hugging him

"Thanks Kakashi-nii-san." He hugged me back

"You're welcome Naruto, now go and spend time with your friend." I smiled and ran over to Gaara who smiled at me

"You came." Gaara stated
