BECA'S POV

I tell the detectives all I can and give the letter to them. I wish they'd just kill the dude. All this crap is just going to ruin my life.

Goddamnit, fuck you Jesse.

The detective tells me they will get right on this, and hopefully make him serve more time.

CHLOE'S POV

We have to wait entirely too long to find out what will be done with Jesse. When the news finally comes we are completely relieved, and we even celebrated a bit. (Who the fuck wouldn't?).

He is charged with second degree attempted murder and gets 10 years added to little time he already had.

Unfortunately, the news does nothing to keep Beca from worrying about anything and everything. I think if she could she would never leave my side again. I'll never let her know but I worry just as much. Maybe even a little more than her. I hate when she has to leave for class or to go to work. If I could, I would definitely never leave her side.

When Jesse finds out he will be here serving more time he becomes outraged. He decides that he needs to find a way to get to Chloe. To make her pay.

He finds himself making friends and deals with men that are on their way to getting out of prison. Promising anything and everything. Doing anything and everything. Most think he is crazy and turn him down. All it takes is one yes, and he finally gets one.

BECA'S POV

About three months go by, and they are uneventful in the terms of Jesse. Leaving Chloe to go anywhere is the hardest thing for me to do. All I do is worry, I make myself sick worrying so much. I know everything is okay now, that nothing can happen, but I am still just so scared. Somehow Chloe doesn't worry at all, she kiss me and pushes me in the direction of wherever I am going that day. I don't know how she does it.

It happens on a Tuesday night, I left Chloe in the quad around two to go to work at the station. Everything is normal, just like every Tuesday. I get up for class in the morning, have a late lunch with Chloe, and the leave for work. I usually don't get home until about ten. I tend to keep my phone on me at work even though Chloe doesn't disturb me while I am here. Even so, when my phone starts to vibrate in my pocket I smile a little thinking she just can't wait a couple hours to talk to me about something. When I see it's Aubrey not Chlo my smile falters a little, I am a little disappointed it isn't Chloe.

I answer smiling a bit, Aubrey used to scare me a little but she's become one of my closest friends. The words that Aubrey says to me, ignoring my "hello" and "what's up", are wiped from my memory. I have no clue what she said to me at all. I heard two words, "Chloe" and "hospital".

CHLOE'S POV

Tuesday nights are usually pretty dead considering we don't have practice and Beca works at night at the station. Sometimes Aubrey hangs out with me, but she has a big test tomorrow so she's out with her study group studying. I'm going to die of boredom. I've decided to go visit Beca for a little bit when there is a rough knock of the door. It startles me a little. Who the fuck hits the door when they're knocking? I pull open the door and am greeted with a man in like his 20's, and not that bad looking. I smile a little and got to ask if I can help him when I'm cut off with a blinding pain in my chest.

AUBREY'S POV

My phone starts to vibrate and I realize I've forgotten to turn it off. So I go to shut it off when I see it's a call from Chloe, she knows I'm busy why would she call me?

"Aubrey…help me…"

"Chloe? What's wrong?"

"Come home. Help me. I'm bleeding everywhere. Please."

"What?! Hold on!"

I don't think I have ever run faster in my entire life.
