Hey guys I'm sorry about the wait, things haven't been going as well as I'd hoped with updating the fics. Since I've gone fulltime at my job I won't have as much time as I'd like to write, but I will continue to update as often as I can.

Now this has Harry going with Caius and the girls to see the Volturi castle, with Desiree of course. It takes place in the evening, so the vampires don't have to hide out to get Harry. Harry will get a tour of the castle as much as Aro will allow, but also more talk on Harry's turning and an option to meet other vampires other than the Volturi, like the Cullens for instance. Can you imagine how that meeting will go?

Harry's living room, 6:00 p.m.:

"There we go, good girl Dessy." Harry stood at his front door waiting for Caius and his sisters to show up with Desiree in her carrier. They were taking Harry to see the castle tonight, but they had to wait until later in the day so they could come out. Desiree was now two months old, perfectly healthy and loved as she should be with her daddy. Hermione and Ron kept in touch as did Remus and Tonks, and often the twins too when they sent toys for Desiree, and in another two weeks Harry would have his family over again for Teddy's birthday. It was all planned out, Teddy and his parents would stay the night as a present from Harry, or a partial one, and leave the next afternoon but of course by then Harry had to come clean with Remus about Caius and he could only guess how the werewolf in him would react.

Knock Knock

"Harry?" Caius' voice came from the other side of the door, and Harry let him in to be greeted with a kiss. "Are you both ready?"

"We are." Desiree looked up at Caius and smiled.

"Hello little dove." Caius bent down to kiss her tiny forehead. "Elaina and Vivienne are waiting in the car, have you warded the house?" Harry nodded.

"They'll go into effect once I walk out the door."

"Do you have everything?" Desiree's diaper bag was full of only necessary items, and Harry knew Caius would be prepared if anything happened.

"Yes, can we go?" part of Harry was eager to see the castle, the other part was worried about all the hungry vampires wandering around there.

"We can now, and we will be using the secret entrance so you won't have to go past many guards."

"Thanks." Harry sighed in relief and followed Caius out of the house. He felt the wards strengthen around the building, and spotted a black SUV with tinted windows on the street. The front window rolled down and there was Vivienne wearing a dark pair of sunglasses along with a large black sun hat.

"Hop in." Elaina called from the passenger's seat. Harry and Caius got into the back, and after a good buckle up plus getting Desiree into the car seat they drove off. The streets weren't too crowded, but not empty either and with sundown already coming some were calling it a day. They drove through some narrow streets and between some tall buildings, until they came to a tunnel under a bridge. Vivienne drove through completely but when a wall was up at the end she pushed a button on a remote and the wall moved aside.

"What's…?" Harry looked at Caius.

"This tunnel was sealed off by the police some decades ago, but it leads us directly under the palace which Aro made into a garage for the cars. Reasons why it was sealed I don't recall, but it's useful to us."

"I see." they drove down another tunnel after the door closed behind the SUV. After about five more minutes they came to a garage like Caius had said and Vivienne parked next to a red mustang. Harry saw a total of seven cars, all different colors and models but all nearly brand new. "Wow…how do you afford all this?"

"Oh we have many updates with technology today, Aro and I just prefer the older ways. These cars belong to the guards, for keeps mainly but they are allowed to drive around with them. Call it a bonus of sorts…"

"Still wow…but how do you have the money?" Caius just smirked.

"We have many treasures, which some we turn into money but we don't spend far too much…or try not to at least. Marcus of course has his own share, we all do but we are only given a certain amount to spend each month and Aro is very thorough with inventory."

"I'm not surprised." Caius helped Harry and Desiree out of the car. Vivienne took off her hat and glasses, and Elaina had on similar items but hers were red.

"Follow me, girls do you wish to join us?"

"Sure thing bro." Elaina was more than happy to, and Vivienne smiled.

"Sure, but only if you let me hold Desiree for some of the tour?" Harry was more than obliged; he knew he could trust Vivienne with Desiree. "Hey big girl…oh you are so cute!" Vivienne had really lightened up after that chat she and Harry had, he was seeing more of her motherly side and it was a nice side. She was warm and caring, and Desiree liked her a lot.

"Alright let's go." Caius had them all follow him to the door, and to an elevator. He punched a button and it went up to a floor that looked like a grand ballroom. It had a high ceiling and elegant furniture everywhere, some older than Harry had seen at Hogwarts, much older.

"Ah there you all are." Aro came out from behind a chair with a brunette haired woman. "How are you Harry?"

"Fine Aro thanks." they shook hands.

"And how is little Desiree today?" he smiled at the little baby.

"She's good, I think she likes the castle." Desiree was enchanted by the room, but this was just one room.

"She is adorable…" the woman said. "I'm Sulpicia, Aro's wife."

"A pleasure, I'm Harry." he kissed her hand.

"Oh he's a gentleman, I like him already." she smiled.

"Easy darling, let's not frighten our guest." Aro pulled her to him. "Now then…Caius why don't you show Harry your wing?"

"Gladly, Harry do you want to bring Desiree along?" Harry turned to see all the women cooing over his daughter.

"Umm…"

"I think we should let Harry take her with him, I would be a little touchy too if I had my baby alone with strangers."

"We're not strangers." Elaina spoke up.

"Yes but Desiree is quite young and Harry is very protective of her; he will want her to come along, he's just too sweet to say no." Sulpicia looked to Harry. "Am I right?"

"Yes." Aro warned him how smart Sulpicia was, nothing ever got by her.

"That settles it then." Vivienne handed Desiree back to Harry. "Come on then love, I'll show you around." Harry followed after Caius, and he could see the Volturi home had some history to it. There were old paintings along the hallways; even a few from famous muggle artists like Picasso and Warhol, the Volturi had exquisite taste, though the Warhol was questionable.

"This place is so huge."

"We've added on over the years, but most of our belongings are from centuries past. We even have an entire vault filled with treasures, but we don't open it often."

"I would understand why, you all probably have personal collections right?"

"Indeed so, and we all know our limits in this coven." they walked up some stairs before Caius opened a door with a wooden 'C' carved on the front. "This is my wing." he let Harry in first. The room was decorated in an ancient Roman style, with black tile floors, gold and red walls with pillars, orange curtains draping the windows, and even Roman style furniture. Caius had rows of bookshelves, an entire collection of them, even a couch, a table, and to Harry's surprise, a television, bed, and a game system.

"Hold on…you watch TV and play games?" Caius shrugged.

"It gets rather boring around here sometimes, but this is pretty much my private wing. No one is allowed without permission, but of course as my mate you will be granted complete access."

"Why a bed though?"

"I like to lie down while I read chairs I get bored with as well. You of course can look and touch what you like."

"I wouldn't want to destroy your belongings." Harry noticed a lot of old artifacts around the room, no doubt priceless and rare.

"You would be able to fix it with your magic correct?"

"Yes but when I'm turned, I don't know if I will have my magic still." Caius smiled slightly.

"These items are nothing compared to you Harry, while they are rare, they are mere objects." he kissed Harry's head.

"Master Caius." Caius growled turning to see Jane at the door.

"What is it?"

"I'm sorry to intrude, but Aro needs to speak to you. We just received word about Athenodora." Caius' eyes narrowed.

"Stay here with Harry." Caius left when Jane nodded.

"What's going on?"

"It's more of a precaution, but Athenodora was likely lurking around the city. One of the other guards caught her scent, but it was faint." Jane answered. "She won't get to you though."

"It's not me I'm worried about." Harry looked down at Desiree, who was looking up at the crystal chandelier in the middle of the large ceiling.

"She will be protected as well; she will be Master Caius' adopted daughter once you're turned."

"Once who's turned?" another voice came from the door, and Harry was staring directly at a mahogany-haired vampire woman. She was likely one of the loveliest ones he's seen so far. "Who's this? Master Caius' next snack?" she smirked with those full red lips.

"Watch it Heidi, this is Master Caius' new mate."

"His mate…a boy? Not likely…"

"It's true, Athenodora isn't here as you have already been told and now Harry here is our soon-to-be master."

"Not master Jane, you don't have to call me that."

"Why should she? You don't seem like Master Caius' type."

"Heidi…enough." Jane put on her warning glare, and Heidi seemed to back down so she left the room without another word. "Heidi has her head so far up her ass that she doesn't pay attention to anyone but herself. She's obedient to the masters and wives, but she feels just because she's got the ability to attract people she can do what she wants."

"Has she always been like that?" Jane nodded.

"After she realized what she could gain in this coven, but she doesn't go against the masters. Chelsea, she's one of the favorites and Aro lets her do what she wants with her mate Afton."

"Is she the one who keeps this coven intact, held together?" Jane nodded.

"But she loves Aro like an older brother, maybe even a father. She was young when she turned, had no family, and then Aro found her and then she met Afton. Her gift, if it weren't for her so many centuries ago…then this coven would've fallen apart."

"So Aro gives her anything."

"Yeah, but she doesn't ask for much though he gives her an allowance each month. You know Harry, you might get to meet other vampires too, like the Cullens."

"The animal-eaters?" Jane laughed.

"Strange bunch they are, but…that's Carlisle Cullen for you. Caius and Aro were talking about it the other day, they want you to get a chance to meet a coven they're actually close to."

"I thought they weren't…" Caius told him about the confrontation last year with the Cullens and the little hybrid girl Renesmee. From the sounds of it they didn't part on good terms.

"Aro and Carlisle made peace, after Marcus found Severus Aro decided that the time for tyranny was over. He wanted to make more allies, have his friendship back, so he and Carlisle met in private with Esme and Bella close plus myself and Felix, and they made amends. They talk every month, just for updates but still."

"I see, but what about the other Cullens?"

"From what I know they seem to be okay with the idea, but only one isn't. The first one…Edward, he's always been a stuck up freak, but he was the first person Carlisle turned. To him Edward is his son, but he lets Edward off too easy in my opinion. How he's married and has a child I don't know, but I guess there's someone out there for everyone."

"Let me guess…he's a flower?" Jane laughed.

"A one-of-a-kind, stick up his ass, pansy flower. A huge wimp, but…he found love so I guess he's got more courage than any of us thought."

"He's not one of those religious ones is he?" Jane shrugged. "Oh well, if I ever meet him I'll find out for myself."

"Indeed." Caius appeared in the doorway. "Thank you for staying with him Jane, did Heidi come by?"

"Yes master, but she wasn't so bad."

"I will have a word with her later; you can go back to Alec now." Jane bid Harry good day and left. Caius closed the door behind her. "What did Heidi say to you?"

"Well…she was rather rude saying I was your next snack and not likely your type. Does she have a thing for you?"

"No, she's just got a huge ego and a mouth to go with it. In some ways I think of her as the castle slut, she's slept with almost every male guard here but not the mated ones."

"I kind of got that from her, she's dressed too loosely for a guard." Caius smirked.

"Yes indeed, now…Jane told you about the Cullens?"

"Yes, she said I would have an opportunity to meet other vampires after you turn me. By next year…I'll be a vampire."

"You will be free my dear raven, as will your child." Caius saw Desiree smiling at him, and then her hand reached up so he let her grip his stone cold finger. "This little dove is special to us both, she will be in good hands until you are turned."

"I know, but would it be wise to turn me here? I mean it's not that I don't trust your judgment, but Desiree is still so young and me becoming a vampire after three days plus feeding…all those guards around her…" Caius put a finger to his lips.

"You need not worry, Aro has already considered that with me and for the reason…we're going to have the Cullens over when you turn. They are more than capable of watching over Desiree, plus you can try the animal diet if you choose."

"But Vivienne and Elaina…"

"Have already suggested that they help watch Desiree, and they will. They will be the main caretakers, but since the Cullens have a child they may be of some assistance with your hunting. Don't worry, we'll have things sorted out by then. You will be able to choose who can watch over Desiree if you wish."

"I do, I want to make sure whoever watches my baby will be good to her."

"Very well." Caius kissed his head. "We'll take care of that, now do you want the rest of the tour?"

"Ummm…yeah why not?" Caius let Harry take his arm and led him into some more corridors. He showed Harry the wings, including Marcus' old one though it was empty, the studies, the library which would be a palace to Hermione, even the dungeons and the old wing that once belonged to Didyme. Harry enjoyed the tour, but right when they got back to the throne room Caius pulled a velvet box from his jacket pocket.

"Here my dear raven, this is yours." he opened it, and it revealed a ring made of pure silver with a large green emerald in the middle and two small cut diamonds on the sides.

"Caius…"

"This will let all the guards know you are my mate, it's custom made with the Volturi insignia on the inside along with a special inscription of mine." Harry used his free hand to carefully lift the ring and read the inscription.

My precious raven, my one true love

"Oh Caius…you're making me feel all gushy." Harry blushed and the girls giggled. Caius slipped the ring onto his finger and the emerald made Harry's eyes sparkle. "You shouldn't have done this."

"I wanted to, to let everyone know that you're mine and mine alone." Caius pulled him and Desiree into a gentle hug. "Now, do you wish for me to take you home?" Harry glanced down at his pocket watch, it was nearing ten and Desiree was still wide awake.

"Ummm…is it possible that we can stay the night?" Caius smirked.

"I was hoping you'd ask that." he scooped Harry up into his arms.

"YAAH! Caius put me down!" Caius ignored him and carried him back up to his own wing. He gently set Harry down on the bed, and Harry spotted a little crib next to the nightstand. "You planned this?"

"Of course, why else would I ask you to come here so late in the evening?" Caius kissed his lips and Desiree's. "Now how about some nourishment for you both?"

"Alright, but Desiree likes her lullaby before she sleeps." Caius pulled out a music box. "Oh you…resourceful aren't you?"

"What more could you expect my raven? Now, if you want I'll put the child to bed and then I'll let you change…"

"Speaking of changing Caius, I think Dessy needs one." Harry summoned the diaper bag from the other end of the wing, having left it there when they first came in. He pulled out Desiree's baby pajamas, a fresh nappy, wipes, and baby powder. "C'mere sweetie." Harry set Desiree down, but as he tried to change her she started kicking. "Hey stop that!"

"Looks like she isn't ready for bed Harry." Elaina called from the doorway. "Mind if I try?"

"Sure." Elaina came and cooed at Desiree, but as she cooed Desiree began to listen and let Elaina change her. "Why does she do that to me?"

"She's just excited Harry, hey why don't you let me and Vivienne try to make her sleep? I think you and Caius need a little alone time." she winked.

"But…"

"C'mon, just for an hour and I guarantee she'll be asleep by then." Harry just sighed and let Elaina take Desiree. He suddenly felt himself become sleepy, and felt Caius lean him down onto the bed.

"Here." Caius removed his shirt and pants, and then managed to put on a comfortable set of silk pajama bottoms at vampire speed.

"Thanks…" Harry yawned.

"You're welcome, c'mon let's tuck you in."

"M'not a kid…don' need to be tucked…in…" Harry kept yawning until he felt the soft covers of the bed pulled over him.

"Hush, sleep now love." Caius kissed his lips sweetly, and stroked Harry's hair until he fell asleep. Caius knew he would have to tell Harry about Athenodora tomorrow, obviously Harry either forgot to ask or just didn't think it was important to do so. The woman was seen around Volterra, and Caius knew she wouldn't give up so easily. He would deal with her though, if she ever showed her face again it would be her last day on Earth.

Next chapter will have Hermione and Ron returning to visit Harry and Desiree, and the little sleepover for Teddy where Remus will meet Caius. Well first Harry will explain everything to Remus, and then the meeting will go down. Can you imagine the reactions between the two? More also on Severus and Marcus.

Like I said in the last chapter Vivienne and Elaina will have mates in the future, and I will say now they will be the two people you'd least expect…or perhaps not depends on what you think.
