"I have a package for a girl named…um, the name has been smudged. I remember it has a Royal title and a type of bird in it. It's a delivery from her out-of-town boyfriend." The girl with chocolate-rich skin-tone explained to Dexter Charming.

She was in Golden Goose Delivery uniform and held croquet-mallet sized package. Her hair was a honey-blonde and her eyes were ice-chilled. These were details that barely registered to the prince while he panicked.

"You must be looking for Duchess Swan because Raven Queen doesn't have an out-of-town boyfriend." The prince chuckled as he twisted his water bottle; its center began to crack.

In the Wonderland grove

"What are the chances of Raven having a secret boyfriend?" Dexter asked Madeline as she skipped stones across six teacups.

"Ten-out-of-nine. You're sweet and thoughtful and that gets boring quicker than a rabbit late for service." The party-throwing hat-maker told her bf's bf.

Dexter yelped. "But Raven wouldn't cheat on anything! She's too honorable for that and if she wanted to break up with me…."

The bespectacled prince did not comprehend the end of that sentence. He shook off his terror and grabbed Madeline by her mismatched sleeves.

He asked the teal& magenta haired girl, "Would you please tell Raven to meet me in the auditorium in four hours from now?"

In the auditorium

"DEXTER LIVES RAVEN? I wrote LOVES! Get it together, people! And where are my candles?" The prince said to the headset connecting him to the theatre crew.

The crew was made of the three little pig cousins, Hunter, Ashlynn, Poppy and Holly. Ashlynn asked her woodland friends, birds and badgers, to hang lanterns across the ceiling and organize candles on the stage (thought not fast enough for the Prince's schedule). The piano was fine-tuned by Poppy as Hunter and the pigs tried to hang the sign lit by fireflies.

"Dexter, it's hard for the badgers to hold the ogre earwax." Ashlynn explained over the headset as she stood on the rails near Hunter and the pigs. The boys were lift the sign up so they could rearrange the words to fit Dexter's instructions.

"Le-Le, please, if they can't do it then call on some raccoons or, I dunno, human friends to help." He changed the signal to talk to Poppy. "Poppy, how's the piano coming?"

"Sorry, this is Holly." The twin with the destiny said. "And Dexter, being so bossy isn't a charming thing to do. We're already going off the script to help you impress the sorceress you aren't suppose to be with and-"

Dexter switched the signal to speak with the less troll-like twin. "Poppy, piano? Talk to me?"

The little pigs were doing their best with their hooves and pulling the sign by its black ropes. It became a more than difficult for the slobby pig when a firefly went up his snout. He let go the rope to better attend his nose, making it easier for his upright cousin and gangster cousin to let the rope slide out of their hooves. Hunter held tight but wasn't strong enough to keep the 36x42 navy-blue sign hanging by his hands. Ashlynn called for her bird friends and grabbed on herself. The valiant efforts of her feathered friends went awry as they scared away half the fireflies.

Dexter waited to turn around seven minutes after he heard the crash. The sign was a very sharp bronze-material that diked into the stage. The sign still stood to face him but with what was left of the fireflies it read something unpleasant.

D.I.E. RAVEN

Poppy hid behind the piano, which still stood fine. She poked her pixie-cut head over the keys to see Dexter's eye twitch.

"We can still fix this!" He told his friends. "Even if the badger are now eating all of the candles and the pigs ate most of the dozens of daffodils I got for Raven, we can still make this work! I mean, ha ha ha, what else could happen?"

Holly walked up to Dexter to tell him. "The cupcakes you ordered came in." she said as she held up the box to Dexter.

He opened the box expecting to see thirteen purple& black cupcakes with silver rings sitting in the icing. Instead he saw nine cupcakes with red icing and green leaves on top. The gold paper told him they were for Apple White.

Dexter began to huff and puff. "What next, world? Come at me!"

"Bad time, Dexter?"

The hair on the back of his neck went as upright as the hair on his head. Dexter turned around to see C.A. Cupid had finally returned. She was pink all over except for her bright blue eyes.

"Cupid?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I have a hug?" The prince weakly asked as he held two open arms for his very good friend.

Excited to see him again, Cupid walked down the aisle to meet him in front of the stage as he stood there. The returned exchange student gave him that hug; her wings tickled his nose as he rested his head on her shoulder.

The hug warmed his heart. He sensed someone was watching them and opened his eyes; his veins turned to ice. Raven stood behind in the doorway watching them hug.

The Charming Prince pushed the angelic girl away. "Cuddlebug, this is not what it looks like!"

Looking at the D.I.E RAVEN sigh, the witch gave a crooked smirk. "I know, Dexter. It's too perfectly awful to be real. Great to see you, Cupid."

The witch and love-guru hugged, no animosity between them. Dexter realized then he didn't want Raven to be jealous of Cupid; he realized she loved him and showed it with effortless little things. Exactly why I need to show how I love her with lots of effort and big things, Dexter thought.

"So great to see you too, Raven. And to see how well you two work out together. Dexter, this show of love and affection, well, it's fableous!" Cupid cupped her hands together as she examined what she imagined what Dexter was trying to pull off.

"Raven, this isn't what I wanted you to see." Dexter said, taking off his headset.

The gothic girl put a hand under his dropping face to lift his blue eyes to her purple eyes. "You were giving your all to make me happy? Who wouldn't want to see that? Disaster ending or whatever."

Dexter smiled goofily; both girls thought it was adorable. The prince stood straight then took his dark princess's hands. "The chapter isn't done yet."

As Cupid watched them exchange a small kiss, she felt a tiny bit of longing but more of her heart felt joy at seeing True Love in action.

"Aww, this is blasphemy is so sweet." Holly said as she sat at the piano.

"Sis, could you start the song anyway?" Poppy asked as she sat beside her sister with twenty-feet of hair.

The melody started, Raven had never heard it before but knew she'd like it.

Holly had read and reread the lyrics Dexter gave her. She began to sing.

"That old black magic has me in it's spell, That old black magic that you weave so well,"

"Those icy fingers up and down my spine, that same old witchcraft when your eyes meet mine," Poppy sang, their voices were almost identical tenors.

Raven put her head against Dexter's shoulder. He hugged her closer to him and soaked in the approval from the friends they knew were watching them.

"Baby down and down and down I go," Holly sang, feeling loose with a little rebellion.

"Round and round and round I go, in a spin. Loving that spin that I in." poppy sang, feeling like a real princess.

"Under that old black magic called-"

"Old black magic called-"'

The sisters sang together; "That old black magic called….love."

"Love…"

"Love."

The last thing Cupid saw of the couple was a secret glance and the snap of Raven's fingers. A purple light grew around them before they poofed away in a blink of magic.
