Yo, it's my birthday this Wednesday (July 17), so, new chapter for everyone!
= Engagement =
This trip to Nation's future in-laws house was not easy. This meant my relationship with Nation would be over. I could not believe my mother would marry Nation off to some rich man's son just as Nation finished medical school. And arranged marriage? I thought mother believed in true love. Father didn't even have a say, he just nodded and agreed to everything mother said.
Nation and I made a pact. I should always be the love of her life.
We got off our car and walked into the Vitus's home. Inside, Mr. Vitus, his son and daughter were waiting to meet us.
Nation's fiancée, Riff Raff, was a blond young man, a biochemist. He was the same age as Nation. After Nation's wedding, Magenta, Riff Raff's sister, would be my bride. Magenta was seventeen; she reminded me Nation when she was younger, both with curly red hair, dark green eyes. I would probably like her, but I would not love her as much as I did for Nation. I must be faithful to Nation, emotionally.
After brief introduction, our parents moved on to talk about the details of the wedding. Nation stood up and said, "Riff Raff and I want to know more about each other before getting married. We are going to the beach now." Mother gladly agreed and the two left the room.
Nervous, not sure if Nation would fall for the good looking young man, I intended to follow them, but I needed an excuse, "Mother, can I have a walk with Magenta?"
"Only if it is okay with Mr. Vitus," Mother answered. Mr. Vitus nodded.
I took Magenta's hand and we quickly followed Riff Raff and Nation to the beach. The two were quiet, didn't say a word. They found a spot on the beach and sat down. I sat down nearby too, but Nation and Riff Raff didn't see us.
Nation broke the ice, "I don't care if you don't love me. I will marry you, but I can never love you. I am in love with my brother, Cosmo. I know it is incest, but I don't care. I love him and he loves me. That's all I need."
I couldn't help but smiled from my heart. Nation actually announced she was in love with me. At the same time, I was worried. What if the Vitus reported us? Incest was still illegal.
"Incest, you say. I guess we have something in common." Riff Raff replied.
They shook hands. I looked at Magenta and smiled, "That's all I wanted to hear. Let's go back." I offered to help Magenta to stand on the beach and we walked back to our house.
"How did you guys do it?" Magenta asked.
"Do what? Sex?" I asked back.
"Incest," Magenta clarified.
"What? I thought you and Riff Raff were together too," Didn't Riff Raff just said Nation and him had something in common? Was he lying?
"We were, but that was some time ago," Magenta continued, "We got caught by my father and we ended our relationship. To be honest, we are not even real brother and sister. We are stepbrother and stepsister, but it is still a taboo. I just don't understand how relationship works. How did you and Nation start your relationship? How do you keep your love and relationship alive under the taboo?"
"Honestly, I don't even know. Nation was kidnapped when she was a baby and was returned to our family when she was fifteen. It was love at first sight. We fell for each other and we started having sex sometimes before her sixteenth birthday. We were away from our family for school for a couple years. I think that's why we didn't get discovered and how we kept our love alive," I replied.
"Sex?" Magenta laughed, "The farthest thing Riff Raff and I did was elbow sex."
"One day. One day, when you are not expecting anything to happen, your relationship with Riff Raff would blossom again. He would deflower you. Nation and I would gladly be your shield when your parents ask questions." We laughed and walked back to the Vitus house. Riff Raff and Nation entered the house one minute after we did. They announced that they were getting married.
"Congratulation," Father shook hands with Mr. Vitus and said, "Now that Riff Raff and Nation are all settled. Maybe we should start talking about Magenta and Cosmo."
We got home after dinner and our parents were so happy about the arrangement. They went on celebrating and were drunk out of their mind.
Late night, I sneaked into Nation's room. I climbed into her bed, "I overheard someone says she is in love with her brother today."
"Really? Not me. My brother and I are just siblings with benefit," Nation joked.
"Really? Prove it!" I kissed her neck.

RIP, Glee star Cory Monteith. (And I was actually at Fairmont Waterfront's Herons restaurant for dinner the same day he was discovered dead in Fairmont Pacific Rim... 1 block away?!) Although i haven't watched Glee since Season 2, Finn would always be Rachael's true love, just as Cory to Lea. Rest In Peace.
