I only own Ava. Enjoy.
"Look at the two of us." Ghost said, chuckling slightly, "We're a right pair."
Ava looked at him, "A pair which can't go anywhere."
"We'll get out. We've both done it before."
"I don't think I can have hope for as long as I did before. I was thinking 'bout just giving up just before you guys found me." Ava admitted.
Ghost shook his head, "This time's different."
"How?"
"We've got each other." Ghost replied. Ava just nodded, looking down and letting her hair fall over her face. Her hair was filthy, with bits of blood encrusted into it.
The room they were in was white. All white. That white that blinds you as soon as you wake up. The bed sheets were white, but now had splotches of red over them. Even the chairs were white. Ava sat on the bed, head in her hands.
Ghost jumped up, "Did you hear that?"
"No-" She was interrupted by gunfire, "Now I did."
Ava jumped up to run to the door, but Ghost was quick to stop her, "We don't know who it is."
"It could be the guys." Ava persisted.
Ghost shrugged, "And it could be some random guys who will come in here and kill us. We haven't got any weapons."
"And it could be the guys."
"I'm not letting you go out and get yourself hurt. Now shush." Ghost said, holding her back, a hand over her mouth.
"Go, go, go!" Soap yelled as the door was breached. They wasn't going to bother being stealthy, so they started shooting. All the men was taken by surprise, and were all dead and blood splattered on the floor.
"We're gonna have to do this the hard way, room by room search." Soap said, whilst kicking open a door, and clearing the room. They continued like that for a good few more rooms.
Soap saw someone with their backs turned, and ran forward, slamming them against the wall, his pistol against their head, "Where are they?" He shouted in his face.
"I-I don't know what you are talking about." He said.
Soap slammed him against the wall, "The two British people!"
"In 14a." He said, as Soap let the bullet fly through his skull. Soap unhooked the keys from his belt and looked back at the others.
"Let's go." They made their way through the halls, killing as they went, checking the room names. At the moment they were at 19a, 18a, 17a... 14a.
The three cleared the hall, before stacking up by the door, "Weapons tight, we don't know what's in that room." Soap said, his gun pointed at the ceiling as he unlocked the door with his other hand, and pushed it open, swinging his body around to point his gun at those who were in it.
Soap saw Ava and lowered his gun, Yuri and Price following his lead. Price pulled the door shut.
"You two okay?" Soap asked quietly, to prevent anyone over hearing.
Ghost started to talk, "We-"
"We'll be fine." Ava cut him off. Ghost glared at her.
Price piped up, "Remember how to shoot a gun."
"'Course." Ava said, catching the pistol which was being flung to her. Ghost doing the same, but with an AK-47.
"Watch yourselves. You haven't got any armor." Price said, pushing the door open, and shooting those outside it. Ava followed Price out, checking both corners before following him. She took a couple of shots, helping them clear out the Russians.
"Nikolai, heading to the primary LZ for exfil." Soap said into the comms as they picked up the speed, getting out of the base as quickly as possible.
The group ran out into the humid air, Nikolai's chopper in sight. It was landing where they were heading. They all quickly entered before it took off again.
Ava sat down, cautious of her back, and sighed a massive sigh. Ghost sat next to her, and she turned away slightly. Looking down at her hands. Soap was sitting opposite Ava, and Price opposite Ghost, "What did they do to you guys?" Soap asked.
Ava stayed quiet, unable to let the words out. Ghost didn't speak either, leaving a horrible atmosphere. Soap was able to realise the small things they did from the bruises left on both of them. The cuts on Ava's arm, and the fact Ava's shirt was way too big.
The group had finally landed, and was in the front door of the base. "You two should head up to the medical bay." Soap insisted.
Ava and Ghost both groaned, everyone hated that place. Then actually headed up there. They both explained their injuries before laying down and having the curtain pulled around each bed. Ava lay on her front, her back visible to the doctor who was treating it.
"This may sting a tiny bit." He told her. He poured the liquid over the wound. Ava gasped at the sudden pain. The doctor then pulled stitches over the wound to keep it shut, then pushed a dressing over it.
He got up and left Ava as he went to treat Ghost.
Ava pulled the top back over her top half of her body, and sighed as she stood up, trying to avoid pain. She pulled the curtain back and made her way to the door.
The doctor appeared. She cursed, silently. "Where are you going?"
"Where does it look like? Australia?"
The doctor scowled at her, "You know you shouldn't be up."
"And? I don't want to be stuck in here for ever, so bye." Ava replied, shrugging, dispite the pain which sparked up in her back. The doctor didn't look happy as he stepped out the way. Ava grinned as she realized she was free of the infirmary, well until MacTavish ordered her to go back.
Ava walked down the halls, to the rec. room. The sight before her wasn't a nice one. The bookcases were still sitting broken on the floor. The TV was missing, which made the room look a lot different. "What happened?" She asked.
"Roach here, decided it would be a good idea to destroy everything." 'Tav answered, "Why aren't you in the infirmary?"
"Because I don't want to be." Ava answered.
"Not everything." Roach muttered, everyone still heard, and Soap turned to glare at the kid.
Soap sighed, "You need to be in the infirmary!"
"Do not."
"Do too."
"Do not."
"Ava, you're not gonna get bloody well better if you don't stay in the infirmary!" Soap practically shouted.
Ava shrugged, "Roach did, well not in the head, but physically."
Soap scoffed, "Roach is Roach."
"Hey!" Roach practically shouted.
"And you left Ghost there?"
"Probably the only reason I escaped." Ava grinned.
Soap ran his hand through his hair, "Go back for him."
"Fine!" Ava whined, knowing Soap had won this round.
