The Next Day

Ross was off with Laura just talking to her in her room about yesterday, it had been a while since they've both actually talked together. "So you were in here yesterday?" Laura asked. "Yeah..." Ross said "I don't know how to slow dance so Ratliff had to teach me." "Ratliff?" Laura asked. "Yeah, but you weren't around and neither was Cassie or Jaymee." Laura nodded.

"I knew you were in here with someone because my iPod was on." Laura said letting out a little laugh.

Laura then noticed a change in Ross. He was layed across Laura's bed looking down with a sort of sad facial expression.

Normally Ross is jumpy happy guy. But now ever since yesterday he's just been down in the dumps. "Ross are you okay?" Laura asked. Ross shrugged "A little.." He said. "Did something happen yesterday?" Laura asked "cause you haven't exactly been your happy self since then." Ross sighed before sitting up straight

"It's just as Ratliff was teaching me how to dance," Ross began "we got towards the end and he began to act strangely." "Well, did you do anything to him whilst you were dancing?" Laura asked. "I stepped on his foot a couple of times.." Ross said. "That's probably why," Laura said letting out a little laugh "you probably made him a nervous wreck." Ross frowned "Maybe.." Ross said. "Why what do you think it was?" Laura asked.

Ross shrugged and looked at Laura "I.. I don't know.." Ross said. Laura smiled a little "So, what have you got planned for Maia then?" Laura asked.

Ross sighed "You better get comfy because this is gonna be a long story." Ross said grinning. Laura smiled and sat back on her bed. Ready to here this story.

Ross then began to tell her.

Meanwhile...

Cassie was sat in the main lobby of the center on her own sorting through some things that Demonica had asked her. Meaning for the dance/party thing she's having.

TO be honest, Cassie didn't see how looking through millions of pieces of paper is gonna work somehow.. She was getting tired. Right now.. She just wished Ratliff was here to make this more entertaining for her.

Speak of the devil.. He walked through the door with a smile on his face.

"Oh hey Cassie." Ratliff said walking over to her. "Hey," Cassie said looking up at him as she was sat in the chair "fancy helping me?" She said holding up the pieces of paper in her hands. "No thanks, I'll pass..." Ratliff said. "Anyway," Cassie said "what were you and Ross doing yesterday? It seems I interrupted a moment." "Well.." Ratliff said cocking his head "I wouldn't say you interrupted a moment." Cassie shook her head.

"Anyway, did you and Ross figure something out for Maia to go out with Ross?" Cassie asked. Ratliff nodded. "Oooo, great!" Cassie said "tell me all about it." "At first we just sat in Laura's room trying to jot down ideas for what he could do to impress her we were sat there for about 30 minutes, I-like-Ross, then eventually we got to the part where I began to teach him how to dance." Ratliff said. Cassie's face dropped "Excuse me?" Cassie asked "say that again.." "I began to teach him how to dance.." Ratliff said.

Cassie shook her head "No.. No.." Cassie said "the bit before that.." "Eventually-" "No!" Cassie cut him "off something about Ross... and you.. liking him.." "Ohhh..." Ratliff said "yeah.. I didn't say that.." Cassie nodded "Yeah.. You kinda did.." Cassie said "Ratliff.. I thought you hated him not liked him." "I don't hate him anymore." Ratliff said. "Yeah, I kinda figured when you said 'I-like-Ross'." Cassie said. Ratliff rolled his eyes.

"Ratliff, what happened..?" Cassie asked. Ratliff shrugged "I don't know," Ratliff said "I was teaching him how to slow dance. I told him when your dancing with Maia don't be afraid to pull her closer and he pulled me closer, I didn't actually think he would do it though." "Is that how you realized your feelings for him?" Cassie asked. "No, there's more," Ratliff said "then as we continued to practice, he said something about taking Maia on that roller coaster me and him go on together and it hit me a little. Then he asked me about what Maia would do whilst they were dancing.. so I said she's rest her head on your chest or in your neck so it fits so I did that. And then I felt it even more and then we pulled away. Then I swear to god if you didn't come into the room when you did we'd of kissed."

Cassie's mouth dropped open "Oh wow.." Cassie said. "Cassie, I don't know what to do.." Ratliff said. Cassie sighed "T-this is.. wow.." Cassie said. "I thought I hated him," Ratliff said "and when we became friends I was happy about it. But I didn't think this would happen." "Life has a funny way of working things out." Cassie said. "I know.." Ratliff sighed. Cassie then scooted closer to him "Maybe you should tell him.." "NO!" Ratliff shouted "if I tell him it'll scare him away.." "It's better off letting him know Ratliff." Cassie said. Ratliff shook his head "I don't want him to know.." Ratliff said.

Cassie rolled her eyes "So what, your just gonna sit back and watch him go off with someone you don't like." "H-how do you know I don't like her..?" Ratliff asked. "Oh c'mon Ratliff I saw the dirty looks you were throwing her as soon as she walked through that door!" Cassie said pointing to the front door.

Ratliff rolled his eyes "Well, what should I do?" Ratliff asked. "Here's an idea," Cassie said "don't help him with Maia." "But he's counting on me!" Ratliff said. "Yeah well if you want Ross then your gonna have to sabotage his chances with Maia!" Cassie said. "I am not gonna do that, that's mean and then he'll think bad of me and go back to hating me," Ratliff said "I don't want that.." He said. "Well I tried.." Cassie said.

"Tell you what," Ratliff said "just leave it all to me and I'll see what happens, Okay?" Cassie nodded. "Please don't tell anyone I am begging you!" Ratliff said. Cassie smiled "Your secrets safe with me." Cassie said. "Thanks, your the greatest best friend ever." Ratliff said before hugging her. "Well, I do my best." Cassie said hugging back.
