Okay so this chapter is going to be my version of T.R.A.C.K.S and T.A.H.I.T.I so if you haven't seen T.A.H.I.T.I and if you don't want spoilers then watch the episode first and then read this chapter. Oh and just so you know I didn't put this is the last two chapters but when Jack cheated on Kaylee Coulson kicked him off the team AND Ward is still in a coma. I'm sorry guys… But he is in a med cell like Skye is in T.A.H.I.T.I so he is still on the BUS in spirit. Also I know I never did a time skip but lets just say Kaylee had her kid and it was a boy she named him Darcy and oh what the hell she is dating again. Its gonna be weird! Prepare yourselves for takeoff. Wheels up in 5.
No one's POV
The intercom came on and Coulson's voice could be heard throughout the plane telling the agents to come and meet him for a mission brief. Kaylee and Skye were sitting in front of Ward's cell willing him to wake up. After Kaylee remembered everything it has been even harder on her. Out of everyone it is the hardest on Skye and Kaylee. They have slept in the same room ever since they had to be back on the BUS. Leo and Olivia had been in their bunk making out. Again. FitzSimmons have been trying to distract Kaylee and Skye but they just sit outside of the chamber all day. They gave up and retreated back to the lab but sent the D.W.A.R.F.S out to monitor them. Everyone trudged to Coulson's briefing room.
"Why are we here Coulson?" Kaylee asked.
"We have a new mission." Coulson replied
"So what is it?" Skye asked.
Coulson's POV
The mission we have is in Italy. On a train.
"Okay… And?" Leo asked.
Skye and Fitz will be going undercover as a couple that has been married for 2 years.
"We are a what now?" They said at the same time. Couple. Moving on. Leo you will be a conductor. Kaylee you and Jemma will be posing as my daughters. May will be looking for the package from the top of the train. Then Skye and Fitz you will go to the luggage cart and set up your tracking stuff.
"Its not stu-" Coulson cut Fitz off. Olivia you will be in the luggage car already making sure people do not come in. We need to go. Now. We will be landing in 10 mins so go get dressed.
We found spots on the train and sat. I think Jemma is a little too excited to be on a field mission. She is always stuck on the BUS. Kaylee is relaxed. She really likes getting to go on higher-level missions. The whole team has moved up 2 clearance levels. Everyone besides Olivia is Level 9. Kaylee then slipped off. She said something about finding a conductor. She had perfect timing. Jemma made a scene right after she left. I think that she timed it. Then the comms went down. I ran to try and find the package. May said something about it being in the dining car. I walked to the dining car while Jemma went the other way to find Skye and Fitz. I saw a cup of coffee but it seemed to be frozen. I couldn't move it and the liquid wasn't moving either. Then Kaylee and Leo ran in with some of what looked like Quinn's agents trailing. Leo yelled
"COULSON WE HAVE TO JUMP!" The three of us jumped off the back of the speeding train. Then someone threw what looked like some kind of grenade with dendrotoxin in it. The train disappeared.
Skye's POV
I am with Fitz. We are posing as a married couple. He can do an American accent that is too good. Its all my worst nightmares put into one. Well I guess that is an exaggeration. My husband is in a coma and could die at any time. That is my worst nightmare.
Come on Fitz! We need to go!
"Coming! JUST LAY OFF OF ME FOR A MINUTE!" He yelled Fine. I just want to get a read on where Kaylee and everyone are.
"Set it up yourself then!" Fitz said. Fine I will. 3 minutes later everything is all plugged in and working.
"Okay next time just do that before I try." Fitz said
Okay. * static * did the comms just go down? Kaylee?
"Apparently they did." Fitz said Thanks Captain Obvious. Now why is the train slowing down? The door burst open and Jemma came in yelling
"We've been made!" Jems get down. Then an agent burst in behind her. Not one of ours. He was holding what looked like a grenade. In the craziness of the moment Jemma hugged the guy and the grenade went off. We looked her over and Fitz found that it was made out of the same stuff that is in the Night-Night gun. It didn't kill her thankfully. It just knocked her out. Fitz? The train just totally stopped and I see agents. We need to get out of here.
"Where to?" He asked Quinn's mansion.
"Crap. Remind me to never go undercover with you again."
Eh I'm not that crazy. Ward loves me and that's saying something.
"You have a point. But he also loves Kaylee and Leo." They are his younger siblings.
"Oh. I never knew that." Really? She's been sitting outside his med cell with me for like the past 3 weeks. Now before you start blabbering about anything else lets go. We left for Quinn's mansion. We could see it in the distance the whole way there. When we got there I made Fitz stay outside and put a tracker on the car. I went inside. I am armed with a real gun. If it comes to it I will use it. I found my way down to the basement where I saw a hyperbaric chamber. I found a very mangled Mike Petersen in it. I didn't hear him but Quinn came in behind me and said
"I am not surprised you are here Skye. Did Coulson send you in alone?"
He didn't send me.
"Really? So he wouldn't care if I did this." He said He pulled out a gun and shot me in the shoulder. Once and then he came up and pulled me close and shot me again in the same spot. He lowered me to the floor. I couldn't move my arm. It looked like he had hit an artery or something. I'm not sure but there is a lot of blood. I felt my eyes start to droop and I fought as hard as I could to keep them open but after about 10 minutes later I lost that fight.
Kaylee's POV
When we got back to the BUS (we being me, Leo and Coulson) Coulson sent me and Leo down to analyze the grenade that had been thrown at us on the holotable. I stood in the doorway half watching Leo try to turn on the holotable and watching the footage of Ward. Then I saw him stir. I sprinted out of there and ran into the cell. His eyes opened a sliver
"Kaykat?" He asked. His voice was much stronger than he looked. OMG! Grant I am so happy to have my big brother back!
"You remember?" I remembered when I woke up.
"How long have I been out?" About 10 months.
"Actually I have been out 9. I woke up a month ago and have been in and out since." He said
And how do you know this mister?
"Well while you guys were off the BUS I got up and walked around a bit."
You are the worst Grant Ward.
"I try."
Wow how do you feel?
"Amazing. Not like I was shot in the stomach. Want to see?"
I don't know if this is smart.
"Eh."
Ohhh look robot is a daredevil.
"Just watch." He got up out of bed and unplugged from everything. I didn't notice before but he is wearing his normal jeans and t-shirt. He then walked around as steady as a rock.
Impressive bro now lets go see your other sibling and Coulson.
"Where is the rest of the team?" Out on a mission.
"The A team stayed behind?"
No we came back to analyze stuff and find the rest of the team.
"Okay. Now lets go see people." We walked out and down to the lab. Leo was still trying to figure out how to turn on the holotable.
"The on button is over here idiot." Ward said
"GRANT! How? What? Kaylee." Leo sputtered.
Hey! He woke up a month ago and didn't say a word. You always blame me.
"Your our little sister. Of course we are." They said at the same time.
Time to go see Coulson. Let's go.
"Oh no you have that look on your face."
Who me?
Robots the daredevil. Not me.
"Are you sure about that?"
Says the one who is walking around and he literally just woke up from a coma.
"Eh robots are special."
"Guys suit up. I just got a signal from one of the trackers at Quinn's mansion.
Wait WARD?"
Long story AC just run with it and let him come with us. You can freak out later but I am getting this weird feeling that something's wrong with Skye. And where is Olivia?
"Where is she?" We all suited up. The three of us (Ward Leo and I) got into our totally awesome jumpsuits that have gun holsters on the legs and ammo pockets like everywhere. Pretty awesome right? I love them they make me feel so powerful. The first place we went was back to the train. It was stopped and there were a bunch of agents around it. We saw the luggage car and snuck in. When we opened the door Jemma and Olivia started shooting at us.
HOLD YOUR FIRE GUYS! It's us!
"Oh my gosh were so sorry guys! Wait Ward?" Liv said
We will explain later but you two get in the car now and stay there till we give you the all clear.
"Where are we going?" They asked
Ian Quinn's mansion.
"Why?"
We got a tracking signal from there. So we need to head out. Now. And to answer your next question we have no idea where May is but she always shows up so we are not worried. We finally got to Quinn's mansion and saw Fitz doing something under a car. We knew that Skye was in there alone.
Grant? Shall we? We did our quadruple shot maneuver. We both go in with double guns. And shoot at random. We always go in first. I think we took down about 10 guards. Then Leo and Coulson brought up the rear. Ward and I didn't split up and knowing Skye she probably headed down to the basement. The first door we saw was open a tiny bit. We walked in ready to shoot but the only thing we saw was Skye passed out from blood loss. Ward look her over.
Is there an exit point from the bullet?
"Yes."
Can you find the bullets?
"They are here on the floor behind her."
My best guess is that they were shot from about here (standing towards the far end of the room) and then once they perforated her shoulder they slowed down enough that when they hit the wall they just bounced off. Can I see one? These were fired from a LH9 pistol. They are 9mm bullets. We need to get Skye to a SHIELD medical facility. But we need Jemma.
JEMMA! COME HERE NOW! WE FOUND SKYE! The rest of the team rushed down.
Wait. Who has Quinn?
"May. She showed up about 5 minutes ago." Coulson said. Jemma she has lost a lot of blood. What can we do to save her.
"Get her in the hyperbaric chamber. So we can lower her body core temp and keep her alive." Jemma said
Guys help us here! A shot rang out. I almost dropped Skye. I just got shot. Again. Someone cover me! They are shooting! Then Maria Hill ran in.
Were you the one who just shot me? I asked with a challenging tone in my voice.
"No that was Director Fury himself." She said.
F*** I am going to- mph Ward put his hand over my mouth.
"No I think that I might because he just shot one of my best agents!" Coulson yelled.
Get Skye in the chamber and then you can worry about me. Do it NOW! Ward finally got her in the chamber and after Jemma bandaged up my shoulder we all rushed to the medical base. They took Skye in and then looked over me and took me right into surgery. Not my first time but the first time I didn't know I was going to have surgery. Yall are probably like where is the fearless Kaylee that we know? She is still here but… I am more worried about Skye than me. 8 hours later I am back out in the waiting room with the rest of the team. FitzSimmons and Leo are crashed on the couch and Ward is in a chair and I am sitting against his legs. My arm is in a sling. No missions for me. It's all Fury's fault. I'm pretty sure Coulson is on the phone with him now. Yep he is definitely on the phone with him. I hear yelling from Coulson's end. Stuff about two of his best agents being hurt. Okay so this is going to be in two parts.
This one was T.R.A.C.K.S. The next one will be T.A.H.I.T.I. These are my amazing versions of these. Pretty amazing chapter right? I really need to put some Leolivia moments in here. I'm just better at writing S.H.I.E.L.D stuff. So I will post as soon as I finish T.A.H.I.T.I.
