Hey! So I hope you enjoy this enough to review! And if not. . . review anyway please!

Ginny glared daggers at Matthew and Draco was sure that if looks could kill, the man would have been dead a thousand times over. The brunette who Matt had been snogging was hurrying to button up her shirt. Matthew was watching Ginny with trepidation.

"Gin, I-"

She raised a hand and stopped him mid sentence.

"No. I don't want excuses, Matthew," her voice was so cold the temperature of the corridor dropped twenty degrees, "We're done."

"Ginny, please," Matthew begged, taking a step toward her. She took a step away maintaing the same distance between them. "Ginevera, please listen to me! I never meant for this to-" She snapped.

"NO! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT! I TRUSTED YOU!" she screamed.

The other girl stood looking between the two of them, eyes wide.

"You have a girlfriend?" she shrieked at Matt, before storming away.

"Wait! No, Melissa! I mean, yeah I do, but-"

"ENOUGH!" Ginny yelled, her eyes were narrowed dangerously. Draco noticed her hand twitched for her wand. He pulled his out in case he had to intervene. "You meant no. You don't have a girlfriend," she paused, eyes cold and hallow. "I hate you," she murmured, before stalking down the hallway.

Draco glared at Matt before following Ginny. He didn't find her in the next one or the one after that. He began jogging toward the dorm he shared with her.

"Royalty!" he spat. It swung open to admit him. He heard sobbing coming down the stairs from her room. He slowly approached. "Ginny? May I come in?" he called softly.

Her sobbing quieted and he heard her footsteps. She cracked the door slightly. Her eyes were red and swollen. Her nose was runny and red as well. Tears streaked her face and sparkled in her eyes.

"Y-yes?" she mumbled.

"I'm sorry. Anything I can do to help?" he offered.

"No, thank you," she returned to her bed leaving the door open for him to enter. He went and sat next to he feeling rather out of place amid the gold and scarlet decorations.

They sat in silence for a while. Ginny sniffed pitifully. Draco had the sudden urge to pull him into his arms. She picked up her pillow and hugged it to her chest.

"I loved him once, you know," she spoke up.

Draco didn't know what to say to that, so he kept silent.

"I can't believe him! I trusted him with all my secrets! My hopes, dreams, everything! And he goes and cheats on me!" she fell back, rolling so her face was buried in the comforter. Draco heard her cries resume.

"I'm sorry," he offered, unsure of what else to say.

"It's not your fault, Draco. It's his," she hissed the last word as if it was a curse.

"I'm still sorry it happened to you. You don't deserve to be treated like this," he told her. She sat up to look at him.

"Thank you, Draco," she said sincerely. Then without warning, she flung her arms around his neck.

Startled, Draco sat there for a moment before slowly wrapping his arms around her small waist. He held her for a few minutes, though to him it felt like forever. Finally she pulled away, and Draco missed her warmth almost immediately.

"You know, we still have some firewhisky left. I say we get drunk to forget about this," Draco suggested, trying to diffuse the gloom. It worked. Ginny grinned.

"Sounds like the perfect plan," she agreed.

"Here," Draco handed her a bottle, "To forgetting the prat." He raised his glass.

"Cheers!"

As she took a swig of the burning liquid, Ginny couldn't help but think about how sweet Draco had been to her. He hadn't pushed her away when she threw herself at him, nor had he shied away from her tears. She observed him from over her bottle. He was kind to her, and thoughtful. Sure he had been a complete pain in her arse from the moment they met in the bookstore all those years ago, but he had changed. For the better. She smiled to herself as she gulped down more of her drink.

Somewhere, deep inside, Ginny realized that she was falling for Draco Malfoy. And the thought didn't bother her one bit.
