Chapter 11
Kaka
"He did what?"
"Could you get any louder, Ino-pig?" Sakura asked rhetorically, looking around the cafeteria to see that her best friend's voice had caught the attention of about half the student in there. "Sorry," murmured Ino as she leaned closer to the pinkette over the table, "So how was it though?"
Sakura rolled her eyes.
"Oh, come on," whined the blonde, going back to picking at the food in front of her, "Sasuke's a hot piece of ass who's interested in bangin' his girlfriend. Nothing wrong with that, right?" The pinkette shrugged, "I guess. I just don't feel ready to do it yet, you know?"
And she wasn't ready. When she scrambled away from him that night, she was a tad scared that her rejection for that kind of physical intimacy would cause him to want to break up with her. But no, he had not. He had proved her wrong, and respected her wishes to wait. She smiled at the thought of her boyfriend's care for her.
"So then where is it going from here?" questioned Ino.
Sakura furrowed her eyebrows in contemplation. Wheredid it go from here? Would this mean Sasuke wouldn't touch her at all? Like, in any way? "I don't know," she responded, blandly.
And she really didn't.
She received her answer the following day. It was like every other day at school. Except (Except) when she was around Sasuke Uchiha. There was nothing at all. No hugging no holding hands. No kisses. No nothing.
And it was driving her mad!
It was only at the end of the day when they were done with soccer practice and were headed to their own cars that she cherished a moment with her boyfriend. He had called her name when she was unlocking her car door. She had turned around, a smile adorning her face prettily as he neared her. "Yeah?" She waited for his next move.
He just smirked, "Have a safe ride home. I'll see you tomorrow."
And then, he leaned forward and placed a soft kiss to her forehead. And that was that.
But it had meant so much for Sakura. When he pulled back and turned around to head to his own ride, Sakura made a grab for his shirt. The white material bunched up in her small fist before Sasuke felt the tug and whirled around to face her. His eyebrow raised in a silent question.
"Why-" she began but stopped herself before going any further.
Did she want to seem desperate for his touch? Even when she was the one who halted them from taking it to the next level? But, you know, that didn't mean she didn't want to be touched at all. Maybe she should go ahead and tell him-
"Same goes for you. Bye."
Or not. That's cool, too.
He gave a soft "Aa." before walking away. Sakura watched him the whole walk until he got into his car. Not once did he turn back to look at her. Well, that was pointless.
The next day was pretty much a repetition.
She was all alone in her room (pretty much the whole house since her mother was working late) when he called her. When she saw the screen with her boyfriend's name in block letters, her heart had skipped a beat.
"Hello?" she murmured into the phone, trying her best to hold in her enthusiasm.
"Just wanted to see how you were doing."
She fake smiled, even though she knew he couldn't see it through the phone. She toyed with the sheets on her bed, "I'm fine." He was just about to speak – she heard the intake of breath – when she abruptly spoke again, "Actually, I lied. I'm not okay. Could you come over?"
"Sakura, I'm a little busy right n-"
"Please," she interrupted him once again, her fingers curling tightly into her covers, "I need you right now." Sakura heard his deep sigh over the phone before he complied with her request. Immediately after hanging up, she ran to her dresser, opening up the top drawer to take out a matching set of red lace panties and bra.
She had to do this right.
When the doorbell rang, she raced down the stairs (almost falling in the process) and to the door. Sakura opened it to reveal her boyfriend, clad in a dark-grey v-neck, white skinnies, and his worn-out black vans. God, he looked delicious. She took no hesitation in literally pulling him in by the arm, closing the door behind him, and dragging him straight to her room.
She didn't bother closing the door; they were alone in the house anyway.
"Sakura, what the hell are-"
She quickly cut off his question by pressing her lips to his in a kiss. He was taken back, that was for sure. He wasn't expecting his girlfriend to call him over just to make out. But if that was what she wanted then who was he, as her boyfriend, to deny her?
He kissed her back, tongue already slipping into her mouth and arms slithering around her waist to pull her closer. She was so warm; she was always warm when he held her like this. Was she warm every second or did he make her feel like this when they were together? In the back of his mind he honestly hoped it was his being that caused her body heat up. Her arms were already around his neck, her small hands running through his jet black hair. And when she started to pull him back towards her bed, he took the initiative and hoisted her legs around his lean waist to carry them both with ease.
He sat down on the edge of the bed with Sakura still straddling his lap, their mouths never disconnecting. That is, until Sakura broke away to pull her simple black shirt over her head to reveal the lacy red bra covering her ample chest. Sasuke mentally battled with himself as he fought for his self-control, but it went flying out the window when she murmured out his name into his ear rather hotly and reached down to the hem of his shirt only to start pulling it up.
So all he could do was throw off his shirt, grab her by the hips and lean forward to leave kisses and nips at her jaw.
Sakura giggled at his touch. Oh, how she missed it. Good god, she had really missed it. She was completely set on doing what she planned for the night.
The pink-haired female pushed him back onto the bed, hovering over him as her mouth went back to his in a heated kiss.
He wasn't gentle with her tonight; she could tell by the way his grip on her hips was tight as if he never wanted to let her go and how rough he was in his kisses against her mouth. She was sure her mouth would still be swollen and bruised in the morning after this was all over.
His hands were still on her hips, eventually traveling to her smooth back to push her against him. Her bare skin felt so amazing against his. Her tiny hands were pressed against his shoulders, the fabric of her bra gently scraping his chest with her every move.
He didn't know why he agreed to come to his girlfriend's house when he had so many things to do at home. And especially since he knew the second she murmured his name that this was going to lead to something she signified in the past was too far for them at the moment.
Then realization punched him in the face when he felt her hands go to undo the zipper of his white skinnies. The fuck? No. No, he couldn't do it like this. He quickly made a grab for her hands and sat up, "Sakura, stop." Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. What was he doing? Is this not what he implied he wanted to do the other night because he made it clear when he grinded against her none too subtlety. Sakura blushed at the thought but cleared her throat for a strong voice, "I'm just finishing what we started the other night, Sasuke. Now let me get you out of these pants."
Well, that was blunt.
So blunt that Sakura easily tore her hands out of his grasp to go back to his zipper. He was fast, though, and grabbed her frantic hands once again, "Goddammit, Sakura. I said stop!" She tensed at his yell and her eyes grew wide and frightened. He was looking at her with such intensity and anger, his mouth in a grim line. She turned away, hiding her embarrassment and tears with a curtain of long pink hair. Sasuke let out a deep sigh, letting go of her hands and nudging her off of his lap so he could stand. He made a reach for his shirt when she suddenly spoke, "Are you going to break up with me?"
Sasuke almost choked on his own spit, but he composed himself and walked back to her, kneeling down to her level as she sat cross-legged on the bed. "Excuse me for the foul language but what the fuck gave you that idea?"
She looked down at the sheets, the fabric scrunched up in her fists as she tried to hold back the tears so she could speak. But it didn't work. Instead, she cried again and covered her face with her shaking hands. Why? Why did she have to start crying again? This wasn't her at all. She was strong; she knew that for sure. So why was she starting to crumble under his gaze?
"I feel like you've been neglecting me ever since I rejected have sex with you that one night," she finally confessed, mumbling most of her words into her palms, "I figured you didn't want to be with me if I couldn't fulfill your needs. So I planned this because I didn't want to fill my head anymore with the thought that you would be leaving me."
She heard Sasuke sigh. Oh no, here it comes.
The breakup.
Only it didn't happen. Her sobs weren't followed by words that signaled he was done with her and their relationship. It was followed by the feeling of his warm being wrapping around her in comfort. No words were spoken – he just held her in his arms - but the silent words were present in his actions. Oh, how she missed THIS feeling.
He pulled away slightly, only to grab her face gently into his palms and kiss her. "Sakura, we'll do this when the time is right, okay? No need to rush. I want you. I really do," he began, going back to holding her, "but not out of your desperation or my selfishness. I don't want you thinking that I just want our relationship based on sex, if we do happen to go that far. Right now, I want you focused on getting scouted because I know that's your goal."
Sakura hastily wiped at her wet cheeks, "I'm sorry."
Sasuke wrapped his arms around her to pull her close. She was still trembling terribly. God, why was he constantly making her feel comfortable or making her cry? It wasn't intentional, that was for sure. He just didn't know how to act around someone he really cared about. Seriously, when was the last time he had serious feeling towards a certain female besides the affection he had for his mother?
Being with Karin was just time for him to fool around. And just when he was actually starting to tolerate her conversations and she was becoming less annoying, she had gone behind his back and cheated on him with one of his best friends. The fucking slut. But Sakura – Sakura would never do that. He knew she would never do that. A gut feeling, he would think.
He had always noticed her relationships with others.
She was loyal to them; always being there if they were in need of some type of comfort, covering for them when in trouble, and being nice to them almost all of the time. Except for Naruto; he received the occasional punch to the head or shoulder for his stupid remarks. Sasuke was surprised the blonde wasn't dead; he knew Sakura had a really strong arm.
Sakura would never betray him like others had.
He let her go a few seconds later, reached down to grab her shirt from the floor and threw it at her playfully, "Come on, let's watch a movie downstairs."
"Let's go guys! Don't stop! Keep going!"
Ball after ball came soaring through the air and into the net as everyone practiced their free kick; not even a 2 second lapse would occur before another soccer ball was kicked. And when all the balls were either in the net or towards the fence because of a miss, they'd shag and start all over.
They did this for a good straight hour and a half. Sakura felt like her calf muscles were on fire. Pulling her leg back and forth, with the addition of running, to kick soccer balls consecutively really was a hassle. She thanked the gods when coach finally signaled for a break, giving them 5 minutes to get water.
"Well guys, I know you probably hate me for making you almost kill your calf muscles and lungs with this exercise, but this is to show you about taking chances," he responded, taking a sip from his own water bottle. Not that he really needed it. All he did was stand there for most of the practice. But even then, Sakura was sure he could outrun and juke a good majority of the players on the team.
A teammate in the back spoke up, "What do you mean taking chances?"
"Well, I'm glad you asked," Kakashi's eye crinkled, signaling a smile behind his face mask he didn't take off for this practice, "I know pretty much all of you are physically fit when it comes to running around the field for 90 minutes. But, admit it, towards the end you're tired and get a ittle brain dead when it comes to teamwork for a goal. So take those chances to kick the ball towards the net. Maybe you'll make a goal. And if you don't, well, at least they're intimidated by the fact that you're not afraid to shoot."
The team nodded in understanding, taking in their coach's words and making notes of doing what he said for the next game. The words suck into their brain. It was their job to comprehend and act out their coach's words because he knew best.
Kakashi was the one who looked at them like a team; looked at their strengths, their weaknesses.
He saw what could put them up or break them down. So he always did his best to make sure the team doing their best to be the best.
Kakashi dismissed the team, each player going off to their own car. Sakura was just about to grab her keys from her bag when Sasuke caught her by the arm, "Sakura." She turned to him, eyebrows raised to his attention.
All he did was kiss her.
"See you tomorrow," he smirked. But that was all she wanted from him. So she smiled back at him, "Yeah, see you, Sasuke."
The next game was easy, but the team wasted no time in practice. They knew that every second counted and did not slack throughout the exercises the coach gave them. One after another, the players followed through in everything. Coach Kakashi couldn't have been more proud.
"Everyone's being very participate in practice and giving it their all. I just want you guys to have an excellent spring break! Have fun and be ready for the game on Monday!" he exclaimed, then gave the okay for the team to head their own way. They hit the locker room afterwards, some taking showers and others simply putting extra stuff in their assigned lockers for the game on the Monday after they came back from spring break. Sasuke caught up with Sakura at her car.
"Hey," she greeted. "Hey," he responded, and was just about to ask her a question when Sakura grabbed the back of his head, pulled him to her, and cut him off with a fierce kiss. Sasuke didn't hesitate at all in kissing her back with as much force and passion as she was putting into it. He backed her up against her car door and would've continued his ministrations had it not been for the whistles and cat calls from his their friends as they piled out of the locker room building.
Sakura laughed and shooed them off with a flick of her hand before turning back to her boyfriend. "I'm sorry, what were you going to ask me before I interrupted you with my amazing kissing abilities?"
He chuckled, wrapping his arms around her waist to bring her closer, "Well, the soccer team is thinking about staying at Kiba's lake house the whole break, if you wanna come."
She pouted. That would mean she'd be the only girl there. That is not enough estrogen in a house full of guys. "Ino, Hinata, TenTen, and Temari are invited," he quickly informed her, and she smiled, "So that's a yes?"
Sakura nodded, "Oh, you know, just gotta tell my mom about it. Which won't be a problem since she's practically in love with your good looks and charms." He smirked. Sakura poked his cheek affectionately, "And that smirk. Gotta love the smirk."
"But I was wondering," he began again, "Maybe we can have some time for ourselves this weekend before we spend a whole week with the crew. By that, I mean the damn dobe."
Sakura laughed softly at that remark. Honestly, she wondered how they managed to stay best friend if all they did was insult each other 75% of the time they were in each other's presence. Ferseriously, their constant bickering was a pain in the ass and gave her headaches. And Sasuke liked to call her annoying?
Pshhhh…
Her attention went back to him, "That sounds nice. Actually, can we go back to that one club the night of our first kiss? I liked it a lot."
"Hn."
"Is that a yes?"
"Definitely."
Holy shit, the line for the entry to the club was long. Long as fuckkk. Sakura underestimated the popularity of this club. If she thought it was packed the first night she came here, imagine how it's going to be tonight.
"Um, Sasuke, let's come back another time. It's honestly going to be a long while before we even get half way to the entrance," she pleaded, frowning as her sight kept going farther and farther down the line. Sasuke just smirked that unbelievably sexy smirk of his and held her hand, "Don't worry, Sakura. I have connections."
And with that said, he proceeded to lead her to the entrance of the club, as if there were no line to begin with. Sakura only cringed at the negative comments they were receiving as they cut the line of people who were there for probably more than an hour. Sasuke released her hand and slipped his arm around her shoulders, assuring her there was nothing to worry about. Nothing to worry about? NOTHING to worry about? There were couples who were looking ready to chew them up and spit them back out; it was rather scary she thought. When they began using harsh words to them, that was when Sasuke somewhat snapped and turned around, finally exposing his face to the crowd by the street lights. They all gasped.
Sakura's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Whoa, that was weird.
Someone finally spoke up, "You're Sasuke Uchiha."
Said guy chuckled before turning back around and continuing his way to the doors of the club along with his girlfriend. "What the hell was that about?" questioned the pink-haired female, raising her eyebrows at her boyfriend. She wanted an explanation as to what just happened. Because, seriously, just showing his face, having people recognize him, and letting him by without another word was rather creepy. Was he a gang member or something?
Honestly, that was kind of badass of him if he was. Sakura inwardly giggled at her own stupidity.
"To be honest with you, Naruto and I own this place," he stated, causing his girlfriend's jaw to drop in astonishment. He owned this club along with his blonde-haired best friend? "It belonged to Naruto's godfather, who was also his guardian, but he died a while ago and passed down the club to Naruto. Although the dobe doesn't directly manage it, he still gets most of the proceedings to buy what he needs to live. He wanted me to help, just in case; I agreed to his request."
Sakura smiled, "Awww, how cute. You're so willing to help your best friend even though you hate him." She continued to tease him by pinching his cheeks playfully.
He blushed, "Shut up, Haruno." She laughed.
At the entrance, the bouncer immediately recognized Sakura's boyfriend and stepped out of the way to let them in, "Hello, Sasuke."
He nodded in greeting, "Xavier." Sakura smiled sweetly at the big guy guarding the door and gave him a quick wave before going to back to her boyfriend's side.
Inside was not as bad as Sakura thought. Although it was a teensy bit more crowded than the last time they were here, there were still enough chairs and tables for one to sit down for a rest and enough space on the dance floor for couples to squeeze into. Her green eyes traveled along the crowd, seeking for a familiar face of a friend and squealed when she eyes Temari and her boyfriend, Shikamaru Nara. Sasuke also noticed them a few seconds later. He leaned in to speak to Sakura so the music wouldn't overpower his voice and tune him out, "Hey, I'll lead you to Temari and Nara over there and then I'll go get us some drinks, yeah?"
Sakura nodded, grabbing hold of his hand before being led to the known couple.
Although the dirty blonde was not much a girly-girl (and that fact is what made Shikamaru attracted to her) she managed to squeal in excitement as soon as her eyes had landed on her pink-haired friend. "Hey!" they had both yelled over the music and hugged each other with sisterly affection. "Nice to see you, Sakura," exclaimed Temari, and then turned to Sasuke to give him a nod in acknowledgement. He did the same. Sasuke placed a hand on his girlfriend's shoulder, "I'm going to get drinks. Be right back." He placed a small kiss on her cheek before going off to the bar.
"Let's go dance, Sakura," suggested Temari to her friend, who in response nodded ecstatically.
And so they both hit the dance floor, already moving their hips and rocking their heads to the beat of the music before they had settled into a spot between all the other people. It was like as if they danced themselves into the middle, you could say.
Hey, I can be the answer
I'm ready to dance when the vamp up
And when I hit that dip, get your camera
You could see I been that bitch since the Pamper
Both girls knew the song as soon as it had started, singing (or rather rapping) the lyrics along with the artist as it busted through the speakers. They hadn't even noticed the people around them who envied the way they were having fun, just swaying around their body parts with their eyes closed like they didn't care who was watching. It wasn't until they both looked up to laugh that everyone was pretty much doing the same as them. Both girls cracked up, then went back to dancing like crazy.
When the song was over, Sakura looked over to see Sasuke back at Shikamaru's side with drinks in both hands. He raised them up for her attention. "Hey, let's get back over yonder. I need a drink," Sakura said to the dirty blonde and dispersed like the rest of the crowd until another upbeat song came on.
The green-eyed soccer player smiled at her boyfriend before reaching for her drink. He handed it to her without a word. He looks serious, she thought. It wasn't until she leaned forward and wrapped an arm around his lean torso that she noticed he was shaking. Slightly, but she could clearly feel it with her close proximity. She looked up at him with concern etched on her face, "What's bothering you?" He shook his head, hoping she's drop the subject.
"Seriously, Sasuke, what's bothering you? I'll be annoying until you tell me what's up."
He took a sip of his drink before looking in the crowd. "Some stupid asshole at the bar talking shit about our soccer team. It was pissing me off," he growled, eyes flickering back and forth across the room, "Feels like I recognize him from somewhere. My height, red hair, amber eyes. I think his name's like – "
"Sasori," Sakura finished, seeing the flash of anger and jealousy in her boyfriend's eyes.
Oops.
"Sakura, I swear, if he's been hitting on you – "
"No, no, no, Sasuke. Nothing like that. I mean, I met him the first time we were here and he asked me to dance with him but he disappeared after that. All I got was his name," she clarified, "What was he saying though?"
"Well when he didn't see me, he was going off on a rant with a friend by his side, saying how the only way we win is because we bribe the referees since we're not even that good; that we're shitty, actually. And then I confronted him about it. That's when he went off about you being on the team."
Sakura gulped. Sweet Sasori from the first time at the club was talking shit about her? Like, ferseriously? Guess he was a little two-faced motherfucker. That blows. Not that she minded though, she had sexy little Sasuke over here by her side now. Not that she was shallow, but she was just stating a fact.
"What did he say about me?"
Sasuke noticed the way her shoulder slumped at the fact that people were talking negatively about her soccer skills. He slipped his arm around her in comfort; he was more of an action taker than a man of words. "He wasn't talking directly about you, but he does know that we have a girl on our team. The douche kept going on and on about how it isn't fair since we're the only team in the region with a co-ed team. He's claiming that we're using your gender as an advantage; that guys are scared of tackling you and getting a card because you're a girl who's more fragile and whatnot. It was a bunch of bullshit, so I set him straight and just left before he could get another word out."
"Oh," was all Sakura could say to that. She wasn't expecting the red-haired acquaintance to be a jerk. Well, looks CAN be deceiving. "Let's go dance, Sasuke. Maybe that will take your mind off of the situation." They drank the last of their drinks, set the empty cups on the nearest table and headed off to the dance floor.
Another sultry Hispanic song came over the speakers as they walked to the middle along with other couples and Sakura could only laugh at the coincidence, "I swear, only these types of songs com on when we dance together. I think the universe is trying to embarrass me with my inability to dance sexy to these songs."
Sasuke chuckled, "Last time I told you to think and move like Piqué; this time, I'm telling you to believe you're Kaka."
Sakura raised a delicate brow, "Kaka?"
Sasuke spun her out to a certain beat in the song before pulling her back in, "Yes, Kaka. He was signed to São Paulo youth club when he was 15 and 3 years later he fractured a vertebrae in neck in a swimming pool accident. Everyone honestly thought he wasn't going to be able to play again. Yet, here he is now; perfectly recovered and playing like a pro. He lifted himself back up and believed he could make it into soccer again and he did."
Sakura took in the conversation.
"Be like him, Sakura," he continued, "Even though you think you failed the first time we danced, pick yourself back up again and show the world that you're willing to try again to prove that you can do this. That you can dance just as well as everyone else, even better. Which I know you can, as a matter of fact."
So they danced.
Sasuke Uchiha was one hell of a motivator.
And then Sakura noticed him, or rather them.
Sasori.
He was sitting on a chair in the corner of the room near the bar, a girl straddling his lap (didn't they some kind of decency for others, and themselves, in public?) with her face nuzzled into his neck. Probably giving that jerkface a hickey, she thought. Blehhhh.
Sakura squeaked in surprise when the girl lifted her head and exposed her face to the crowd.
KARIN?
She was just about to give a double take when Sasuke spun them around, making her face the opposite direction. She tried to subtly turn them back the other way to confirm that it was the red-haired little skank but Sasuke noticed and questioned her antics. "Uh, nothing. I just thought I saw someone familiar so I was going to check to make sure." She eagerly turned in the red-headed pair's direction but they were already gone. Damn. "Nevermind," she told Sasuke before going back to laying her head back on his chest and swaying to the beat of the music.
She could always pin Karin when they were back in school. In the meantime, she only focused on having a good time with her boyfriend.
And there you have it, my lovelys :) a good 'ole chapter that you guys extremely deserve for making you wait SO DAMN LONG.
And a question for you guys: do you think I should change the rating on this thing? I feel particularly guilty rating this "T" when there is so much profanity and *ahem* lemony-lime stuff there. maybe i should bump it up to "M"?
Just let me know! :) kayyythanksssbyyeee!
