Hi guys, I realised that the last chapter was rather short so I thought that I'd update a little earlier than scheduled (I know! I actually have a schedule now J)
Hope you like it!

Meg POV
I was woken by the sound of clanging of metal upon metal.
"Up, now!" growled a now familiar voice. With a half grunt in response, I rubbed my eyes and clambered to a kneeling position. I didn't want to think about the odd dream last night; it would just give me a false sense of hope for the challenge today.
Suddenly, I was being grabbed by my shoulders out of my cell and into the cold stone corridor. The stench would be something that I would never forget, nor would I forget the screams and groans of the other prisoners that weren't as lucky as me and were stuck here forever.
As he was leading me down the hallway, we walked passed the bathing room. I couldn't help but remember the images from yesterday, bright, golden, fresh. I knew that I was being stupid, but it gave a giddy hope that I was scared to believe in.
Roughly, the guard threw me into the waiting cell and walked off. The floor was extremely dusty with some small stones in the corner; probably been chipped off the wall by other residents.
Staring blankly at the stones, I thought back to the dream I had last night where my powers came back. I knew it was stupid but I couldn't help but think that if I had my powers back I could have fighting chance today in that arena. I crouched there, staring at the stones, trying to make them move, or shake, just something.
The rattling of metal on metal broke my concentration. It was the guard again, rattling his baton between the gaps of the metal bars in my cell door.
"It's time," He stated, matter of fact-ly. Taking a deep breath, I got to my feet and got ready for more pushing. Painfully slowly, he opened the door and then walked quickly towards me. I couldn't help it. I flinched. With a gruff smirk and a wolfish grin. He grabbed my arm, again, and led out of the waiting cells.
Puck POV
I was too alert to go to sleep, but Zara had assured me that she couldn't do anymore tonight.
I couldn't believe that Meghan was trapped in her own body, on another plane that we couldn't reach. I would let the Aziza take my power so that Meghan could live, though I hadn't got a fraction of the power that she had… they would never trade.
I lay down on the wooden four-poster bed, and pondered. If there was a way that I could reach Meghan, then I could tell her what to do, help her reconnect with her power and then she could escape. I could save her!
Only now I realised how tired I was. Knowing that I had couldn't do anything till the morning. I closed my eyes and let my dreams take me to her.
Ash POV
I had told Zara that I was going back to bed. Though instead of turning right at the end of the corridor, I turned left, towards the library. If I could find anything containing information on the Aziza, it would be in one of the oldest known libraries around. At the end of the corridor was an old oak door, with a cast iron latch. Carefully, I lifted the latch and opened the door. It creaked a little but hopefully Zara was too far away to hear it.
Thousands of books covered the wall, like a mosaic of literature. Some books were old and dusty, some looked as if they were going to disintegrate in your hands if you were to hold it; whilst others looked like they were brand new.
I decided that old and dusty was the way to go; I was looking for the oldest fey in existence after all. I looked at the cover of every book on the many shelves that looked ancient. An hour later, still nothing. Maybe, the fey were too old to even be written about, and their tales were passed on by word of mouth? Whatever it was, I doubt they had a book written about them.
I was just about to give up when I thought of something. Meghan told me about this old book… I think it began with a B? Many people dedicate their lives to living by what this book said and they live by the teaching of a man… Jesus? God? Oh what was that book called?!
THE BIBLE! That's it! If the Aziza were like the God's of fey then I need to be looking for a book like a bible! Now where would one keep such a book? Away from all the others probably and protected…
I started to scour the library again, looking for a hiding place or cubbyhole where Zara might keep a bible like book.
Suddenly, I heard the door open. Panicking I hurried inside a cupboard like space. It was pitch black inside but it was safer than having Zara kill me for being in her precious library!
The door opened, and Zara came walked through. She headed straight for a bookcase in the corner of the room and took out a bright red hardcover. Was that the book? Suddenly the bookcase shot sideways, revealing an old staircase. Zara followed the staircase up. Silently, I left the cupboard and ran across the room and up the staircase before it shot back into position.
At the top of the staircase was a door that had been left ajar. Silently I pushed it open a little more a slid inside.
Well, I was definitely not getting caught in this room. Clutter filled the room. Dusty books were sprawled over oak worktops. Bookshelves covered the walls everywhere, all full of books just like the library downstairs. There were numerous chests of drawers over flowing with papers, and letters. The longer you were there; the more you realised that it wasn't junk. This was Zara's most private and precious collection of works.
I made sure to stay in the shadows, but close enough to see that she was reaching for something around her neck… her locket?
Fumbling over the catch, she managed to open the locket to reveal a tiny key. Crawling behind a chest of drawers, I watched her more intently.
There was a small cupboard on the far side of the room. It looked as if it were to fall off at any moment. I wouldn't even try to go in there, but maybe that was the point. She opened the door, and pulled out a small, but highly decorated box. Gold leaf caressed the box from corner to corner, and jewels encrusted the lid to form a picture of a snake surrounded by what looked like colourful fireflies.
Zara took the key and turned it in the lock. With a small click the box opened, I held my breath. Zara took out a small book, no bigger than my hand, and started to read.
I would fill you in with more details but she was there for a good hour just reading. The only weird thing was that she was speaking a different language! It was almost song-like.
Within no time at all, Zara had put the book back and left. I emerged from my hiding place and walked towards the cupboard.
I was just about to reach out to open it when… it disappeared! I blinked, I had to be dreaming. Puzzled, I left the room before the staircase door shut and I was trapped.
Making my way out of the staircase, the bookcase slid shut behind. Rushing out of the library, I returned quickly to my room and tried to process what I had just seen.
What is the next challenge for Meghan? Is Puck going to sacrifice himself to save her? Is Ash going to get his hands on that book? What is Zara up to? Find out in the next chapter ;)
I hope you guys liked the new chapter. I know that quite a lot has happened in this chapter but I am hoping that my next chapter will help them come together! Please, please, please review, I love reading what you guys have you have to say about my story J
Until next time ;)
