Love is...
… doing absolutely nothing together.
"Kagami, Kagami! Here!" Kuroko cheered digging through his little backpack. Kagami relaxed and laid down on his bed while Kuroko dumped his whole back out on the floor as he searched for Kagami's gift. It was just after school for the two best friends and instead of the usual playing basketball and getting lunch Kagami just wanted to lay down at home and do absolutely nothing. Of course Kuroko wouldn't take no for an answer so here he was along for the ride of doing nothing.
"Here it is! This one is especially for you!" Kuroko cheered walking over to the bed.
Kagami opened his eyes and stared at the envelope that was being pushed in his face with his name written on it. He blinked and grabbed it, opening up the letter and reading the letter inside. It was an invitation to a graduation, Kuroko's graduation from elementary school. They actually held graduations from elementary school? Kagami wondered as he scanned over the date.
"Sorry kid, but I'll be in class this day." Kagami said before yawning out loud.
"But I attended your graduation Kagami when you graduated high school! It's only fair that you attend mine!"
"Yeah, but you forced me to let you come."
"But we're best friends! And best friends go to each others graduations!"
"Uh huh," Kagami just waved off.
Kuroko pouted and jumped on top of Kagami; laying on top of him as he pouted right at his face. Kagami groaned out in pain and glared long and hard at Kuroko before finally, sighing, he gave in and turned away so he wouldn't see that wide grin and victorious eyes.
He didn't know why he still tried after so many years of knowing him; he could never win against this little kid, well little adult now. It's been five years since they've met, and though both of their feelings had been unchanging, Kagami would have to admit he cared a little bit more about the boy than before. Kuroko always seemed to be there for him whether it was basketball matches or practice or even studying, the little boy was a little genius at times, and even though he'd never admit it, Kagami had smiled when he heard Kuroko cheer his loudest when he graduated from high school. If it wasn't for his help, Kagami might not have even graduated.
"So what do you want?" Kagami sighed, remember Kuroko giving him a wristband for his graduation present.
Kuroko grinned widely, "for Kagami to accept my marriage proposa-"
"Not going to happen." Kagami said placing his hand over Kuroko's face.
Kuroko started struggling, trying to pull his hand off while Kagami yawned.
"Kid, you're 11. I'm 19. Isn't it about time that you grow up from this love delusion?"
"I'm still not man enough for Kagami, that's alright though since very soon I will be." Kuroko mumbled through his hand.
"You said very soon like five years ago when you were six, start saying in the future. It's more honest."
Kuroko licked Kagami's hand and he flinched, jerking back as he wiped it off on his clothes.
"Why do I even hang out with a kid like you?!"
Kuroko spoke matter of factually, "because you love me."
Kagami snorted while Kuroko wrapped his arms around Kagami's waist, puckering out his lips.
"Fine, I wants a kiss then."
"How about a game? That is what you usually beg me for, right?"
Kuroko pouted and crossed his hands over his chest, "fine then. I want Kagami to attend everyone of my basketball games when I join my new team in middle school, all the way up until I graduate high school."
That... that wasn't so bad. Games were usually on the weekends, which Kagami had free in his class schedueles. He wouldn't know about every game for the next five or six years, but he could at least make some and that's all Kuroko seemed to want from him; more time with the two of them together.
"Okay."
"And for every one I win, I want a kiss as payment."
"TETSUYA!"
Kuroko started laughing as he rolled of Kagami and ran out the room, calling out behind him, "you already agreed to!"
"I didn't know what I was fully agreeing to! Get back here!"
So much for having a relaxing day in bed.
