Chapter 10: That's What Friends are For:

"TUNGSTEN!"

"Lord Hireashi…I-I would have had him if that damn Epinard hadn't shown up!"

"Stop the excuses…"

"Wait! I have an idea…the Press Society knows who everyone is…and I have a monster that can use that information against them!"

"Good! Then use it!"

Keishi Araki smiled as he walked into the Press Society's room.
"Kou…I need your information…on the Battle Lovers…and Caerula Adamas." He smirked and Kou looked at him. "Of course. Are you planning on getting revenge on them?"

"Yes…I've been sent here to kill Scarlet…Lord Hireashi is sick of those Hakone brothers always stopping his plans." Araki explained and Kou smiled. "I know." He handed Araki a black USB, "Here you are…use it to your hearts content."

Meanwhile:

Yumoto sighed as he walked in the club room. He knew Wombat would yell at him… "Yumoto-kun?"

"Oh…hi Akoya-Senpai…"
"What's wrong?" Akoya asked and Yumoto forced a smile. "Nothing."

Akoya sighed as Yumoto hurried into the clubroom without another word.

"Dammit!" Araki hissed as he looked through the files and read Yumoto's. He was running out of time…he had to find something! "Wait…" He frowned and then smiled. "There we go…he can't do anything without his older brother."

Then he gasped. "Wait…his brother…no wonder he is so good at being one…" He then began to laugh. He knew so much information on them…he looked up. He knew exactly what type of monster he would use…maybe this time he would actually win!

Later That Day:

Yumoto sighed as he leaned back in his chair. "This is so boring!" He complained and Wombat rolled his eyes. Yumoto smiled as his love alert went off, "Finally! Something fun to do!"

Wombat shook his head as they transformed and he looked at Yumoto. "Even after you've almost died, you still want to fight him?"

Scarlet nodded, "Yes."

"Fine…but be careful."

"I will…" He smiled and followed the other four out of the room.

Scarlet gasped as he lost sight of them and he looked around as he heard chuckling. "Yumoto-kun…"

"You! Where are my friends?!" Scarlet demanded and pointed his love stick at him.
Scarlet closed his eyes quickly as he transformed and Tungsten laughed. "I know all of your secrets and weaknesses…your friends have already fallen for one of my monsters…I'm just here to…" He pulled his sword out and pointed it at Scarlet, "To end your damn life!"

Scarlet gasped and closed his eyes as Tungsten swung his sword down. He opened his eyes as he heard a clang from another object hitting it.

"G-Gora-an-chan!" He smiled and Gora looked down at him. "Yumoto, get your friends and get out of here."

Tungsten laughed, "So you're the one who foiled our plans before!" Scarlet looked at Tungsten, "How do you know that?"

Tungsten smiled, "Remember the Press Society, dear Yumoto?"

Scarlet raised an eyebrow and thought for a moment. "They…they still had everything? Kin-chan-Senpai told them to get rid of it!"

"But he didn't listen and now I have everything I need on you Battle Lovers…"

Scarlet growled and Gora looked at him. "Yumoto! Leave…and find your friends!"

Tungsten growled. "I DON'T THINK SO!" He screamed and jumped up to attack Scarlet. Scarlet gasped and Gora quickly held up his axe to block his attack.

"Yumoto! Do as I say!"

"Right!" Scarlet nodded and ran off to find the others. He gasped as he saw a monster. "A dream monster…?" Scarlet whispered and gasped as he saw his friends unconscious. "I knew it…"

He ran to Vesta and began to shake him. "Vesta! Wake up!" Scarlet cried and the monster chuckled. "Lord Tungsten told me to leave you awake…"

Scarlet looked at it and he growled. "I'm sick of you monsters attacking us! All I wanted was to have friends and not be lonely anymore!"

"L-Lord Tungsten! He-he's glowing!" The monster panicked and Tungsten turned to Scarlet and gasped. "NO! NO! HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO TRANSFORM LIKE THAT!" Tungsten screamed and Gora watched as his little brother destroyed the monster without breaking a sweat.

Scarlet gasped as he looked at himself...he broke out into a huge grin. He actually transformed into his More Better self!

He ran over to his friends as they began to wake back up and he felt tears filling his eyes. "G-Guys!"

Cerulean and Epinard smiled as they looked at Scarlet. "Look at you…" Epinard smiled and Cerulean nodded, "See you don't need us all the time, Yumoto."

Sulfur looked at Vesta. "How could he actually transform like that?" Vesta smiled, "Duh Io! It was his love for us!"

Scarlet giggled, "Of course! And Gora-an-chan helped too!"

Tungsten looked at Scarlet and growled. "You…you weren't supposed to be able to transform like that! Lord Hireashi will want my head if I don't kill you!"

He looked at Gora and growled. "You won't be able to save your brother this time!"

"Yumoto!"

"Wom-san!"

"How did you transform like that?" Wombat asked and Scarlet shrugged, "I don't know!"

Wombat looked up as he saw Tungsten laughing. "Wombat…you're too late to save them!"

Wombat growled, "What do you mean?"

Vesta gasped as he saw a Tungsten holding his hand out.

"Watch out!" Wombat yelled and Tungsten shot out radio waves. The five Battle Lovers cried out as they couldn't move. Scarlet felt himself being pushed back and the others hit the ground, clutching the hearts on their bows.

Scarlet looked at his friends and gasped out as he felt himself hitting the ground. His body felt heavy now and he gasped as he looked at the others. He screamed out as he felt Tungsten hit them again and he could feel his transformation turning back to normal, but yet…he didn't feel tired this time.

Wombat jumped onto Tungsten and Scarlet looked up. He began to pant heavily and clutched at his bow. He hissed in pain as he felt Gora lifting him up into his arms. "Yumoto!"

"A-are my friends…okay?" Scarlet asked softly and Gora laughed, "Always worrying about others and not yourself…"

"A-are they…?"
Gora nodded, "They seem fine…"

Scarlet looked at Gora. "Is…is it cracked…?"

Gora looked down at it and frowned, "I'm sorry…it is…"

"T-that…that means the others! G-Gora-an-chan…check theirs!"

Wombat looked at Scarlet. "They're all fine…you're the one I'm worried about…" He looked at Scarlet's heart brooch and gasped. "Wait…this isn't cracked…wasn't it just broken?"

Scarlet looked at him. "Weird…I feel better now too…?" He looked at Gora, "Was it fixed because of you…?" He asked and Gora shrugged, "Maybe…but go check your friends. We'll talk about this when we get home."

Scarlet blushed, "A-about someone wanting me dead…?"
Gora nodded, "Exactly…you should have said something."

Scarlet looked down and hugged Gora. "I'm sorry An-chan!" Gora smiled and hugged him back. "It's okay…but you need to go home and rest."

Scarlet nodded and sighed. He made sure the others were all okay but he couldn't help but feel bad. "You all help protect me…yet I can't protect myself this time!"

"It's alright, Yumoto. You tried your best, that's all that matters." Sulfur smiled and Scarlet sighed, "Still! Next time…I'll protect you all!"

The others just smiled and Scarlet giggled as they all hugged him. "Don't worry, Yumoto. We don't mind protecting you…you need some protecting this time around. You don't need to keep playing hero." Cerulean explained and the others nodded in agreement.

"Maybe they are right…" Scarlet thought, "I should let them protect me…that's what friends are for!"
