Starting Over: A New Beginning Part II
Chapter 11: Inconveniencing Of Aggression

No One's POV.
Peaceville Memorial Hospital

'A miscarriage. . . A MISCARRIAGE! . . . . Laney. . . I'm sorry. . . I wish I could've protected you. . .' That's all that went through Corey Riffin's mind as he sat in the waiting room in the hospital. Tears coming down his eyes as his fiancé was in the emergency room and a cast around his right arm. Kin was next to him, hanging his head down, understanding Corey's pain. Jake and Kyle pacing back and forth, running into each other sometimes. Alana, in room 157-A, resting with a cast around her broken leg. Kate, room 158-A with a mild concussion and gauss around her head. Chris, lying unconscious on three chairs in the waiting room. . . .

-FLASHBACK-

Corey, Chris, and Jake were still running towards the store. Jake was on his phone, telling Kin and Kyle to get over there. Corey ran straight towards the door and found it was locked. "Come on, COME ON!" He shouted. Sirens of police and an ambulance are heard in the distance, and were getting closer.

"D-Dude, they're probably ok. . " Jake tried to reassure him. "You don't have to be so. . " Chris started. "AAAUUGGGHH!" Corey shouted as he backed up and ran straight through the door, breaking the glass in the process.

"Aggressive. . ." Chris finished. The two entered after Corey and looked at his right shoulder, noticing the glass stuck in him. "Oh god dude!" Jake was a bit shocked. Corey looked at his shoulder. "I'm fine . . ." He was in a mix between raging and terrified.

All three look around to notice there's some blood trails leading to around the corner and up the stairs.

"Ok. . " Corey starts. "I'll go upstairs, you two look down here. . . If you find anything, you call me. . ." Jake and Chris nod but they do show faces of confusion. "What about if you find something?" Jake questioned. "Like that psycho that put you in the hospital. . ." Chris added.

"I'll take care of that. . ." Corey said with some anger as he ran up the stairs.

With that, Jake and Chris shrugged and continued. Chris followed a blood trail that led towards the back of the store, while Jake walked outside and around the building. As Chris continued his path, he noticed that there was a shoe off to the right corner. Looking back and forth, he chose the shoe.

"Hello?" Chris said, close to a whisper, as he continued. Getting closer, he noticed that the shoe was connected to someone. He hurried up and noticed that the shoe was on the foot of a recently dead Mina. Taken aback by this, he covered his mouth, on the verge of puking. Her eyes were missing, two bullet wounds in her stomach and a meat cleaver in her head with blood running down her face, it was amazing that he could tell it was her. Feeling more nauseous, Chris leaned over to his right and puked for ten seconds.

"Oh God . . ." Were the only words he could spit out afterwards.

Corey made his way up the stairs and looked down a hallway to his left. He also heard a faint noise that sounded like someone vomiting but shrugged it off. Going down the hallway, he noticed something shimmering and his curiosity grew. Once close enough to touch it, he noticed it was a silver desert eagle. He then picked it up and busted a room open. Nothing except a broken window. Corey walked towards it and looked outside, where he saw Jake looking around.

"You see anything?" The blue haired rocker whispered. Jake looked in his direction. "Nothin' yet bro!" He whispered back. With that, he continued his search. Corey shrugged but heard a distant sound. In response, he quickly turned around and aimed his gun. He fired one bullet which made its way, ricocheting around the room. With it bouncing off the walls, Corey looked all around and ducked a few times while trying to make his way out of the room. He rolled, jumped, and dodged the bullet quite well. 'I guess years of playing Mario Bros, Ping Pong, and yoga paid off!' He thought. and he finally got to the door that led back to the hallway. Once stood up though. . .

ZOOOP!

"AAGH!" Corey grabbed his right arm and fell down in pain. He moved his hand and saw blood trickle its way out of the small bullet wound. "Dammit!" He winced as he put the gun down and looked back at the wound. His hand slowly moving towards it, he looked away and shut his eyes tightly. Once reached the arm, his left hand dug through the wound, a bit fast and determined, to get the bullet out. Corey's tolerance for the pain was getting lower and lower with a few tears coming out of his eyes. After about thirty seconds, he finally looked at his left hand, now holding a very bloody bullet. "Ow!" He whispered as he dropped the bullet, now steaming.

The wound was just a bit bigger. He noticed this while ripping apart of his blue shirt off and wrapping it around the wound. Corey then picked the gun back up after tightening the makeshift gauss and made his way towards the sound. It was coming from a barely opened door at the end of the hallway and it sounded like someone . . . crying. . .

"L-Laney?" He called out to the crying but after a few seconds of nothing but more, he realized . . . That IS Laney's cry. . .

Now knowing this, he sprinted towards the door as fat as he could and barged right in. Looking down, he saw an unconscious Carrie, with blood on her neck, and he turned his head towards the left and saw a horror that he could never forget. His fiancé, lying against the wall, crying, and in a bloody mess.

"OH. . . OH MY GOD LANES!" He rushed towards her and kneeled next to her, holding her hand. "Laney! Laney, please speak to me! Who did this to you?!" Corey cried out. Laney finally turned in his direction and opened her eyes.

"C-Core?" She barely got out as she fainted right into his arms. Tears of fear and aggression started from him as Kyle and Jake barged into the room. Both looked at them and their eyes grew wide as they saw the giant mess, with the cops and ambulances showing up outside.

Corey, Laney, Kate, and Carrie were taken on gurneys into the two ambulances and were off. Kin, Kyle, took Kyle's car while Jake took his to the hospital. Chris was pacing back and forth with the police once he saw Mina and Alley's bodies, in black bags, being put into another van. "Please. . ." He was on the verge of tears. "Help me find Katrina. . ." He begged the cops. They sighed at him and gave him their procedure crap.

"Look, it may take a few days or about a week for this investigation of your fiancé's dis-" He was interrupted by Chris grabbing the collar of his shirt. "I DON'T CARE HOW LONG IT TAKES!" He shouted."GZZZZZZZEEEERRRRTTTTT!" Chris fell down after being tasered by the assisting officer and passed out.

"It's not his fault. . ." The first cop said.

His partner sighed again. "I know. . " She replied, picking him up and putting him in the back of the first squad car. They then entered the the building.

-FLASHBACK OVER-

Corey continued to rock back and forth, slowly losing more and more of his sanity while doing so. After more times of pacing into each other, Kyle and Jake sat down and sighed. A nurse noticed them all being concerned and walked over towards them. "Are you guys all right?" She asked. Jake looked up and was the only one to notice she was there. Everyone else were off in their own worlds. "Uh. . . Not really Miss uh. . . Guerra . . ." He read her name tag.

"Call me Kaylie, I need a new name tag." She said and sat next to him. "So, what's happened to all of you?" Jake sighed and explained the whole story. . . Grojband playing at the bar. . . . Corey's suicide attempt . . . Everything leading up to the current events.

"Damn. . . " Kaylie responded. "That sounds like some kind of sick plot to someone's fanfiction or something. . . "

"I know right. . But this is life so what can we do?" Jake sighed.

BANG!

Someone came through the doors and Corey quickly shot up. He ran over to the doctor who stopped him immediately. "She's uh. . ." He started. "With your other friend in room 157-A. . . " Corey nodded and headed off into that direction, leaving the others behind.

He was frantically looking at the rom numbers while walking quickly down the hallway. "135. . . .37. . . 43. . . . " He finally got to the end of that hallway before a turn and entered the room. He saw Alana, with her leg in a cast and held up to keep it steady. She was asleep and he noticed the closed curtain on the other side of her. Walking towards it, he pulled it back to see Laney, asleep and with no baby bump on her belly. He was trying his best to hold back his tears but they started getting too much.

He pulled up a chair next to her and sat down. "Lanes. . . I. . . " He couldn't make out words for how much pain he was in. Just knowing she's here, in the hospital, was taking a giant toll on him. He shuddered with every breath he took and sighed in agony.

"Hey. . " A hand was on his shoulder. Corey jumped and looked back to see a worried Kin looking at him with a guitar. "I found this in the waiting room, usually you don't go anywhere without it. . . I thought it might help. . " He said. Corey gave a small smile and nodded. "Thanks dude." He took his favorite guitar as Kin headed back to the others.

Corey sighed again and wiped a few tears from his eyes. He then thought for a few seconds before picking the guitar up and started strumming the strings. He didn't notice due to his eyes being closed that Laney had opened hers slowly but barely enough to where he wouldn't be able to tell.

(Ben Jenkins - Gone)

You don't know this but I want you so. . .
I can feel it now, You're burnin' in my soul. . .
The days grow longer and the nights grow cold. . .
But I swear to God I will never let you go. . .

So don't you fear. . .
I will always be right here
Right now. . .

God I want to but I just don't know. . .
My hands say yes but my heart says let it go. . .
My lips they sing of words I have not spoke. . .
Oh well speaking is, well it's meaningless when

All you want is
All you got is
Everything. . .That you'd ever need
When it's gone, when it's gone. . .
And all you thought you were has
All been lost you've learned that
Everything. . .That you'd ever need
When it's gone, when it's gone. . .

Ages, numbers, they're just dates and times. . .
They can hold us from, but our love will surely shine through. . .
Bent and broken, we won't fear the night. . .
They had us walled and caged, bound and staged but they can't contain, our love is made when

All you want is
All you got is
Everything. . .That you'd ever need
When it's gone, when it's gone. . .
And all you thought you were has
All been lost, you've learned that
Everything. . .That you'd ever need
When it's gone, when it's gone. . .

And all you want. . . Is all you got. . .
When it's gone, when it's gone but

All you want is
All you got is
Everything. . .That you'd ever need
When it's gone, when it's gone. . .
And all you thought you were has
All been lost, you've learned that
Everything. . .That you'd ever need
When it's gone, when it's gone. . .

Corey strummed the last notes of the song, letting one tear fall down his cheek before setting the guitar down. "I love you Lanes. . ." He put his hand on her head and parted her hair out of her face. She slowly lifted her hand and caressed his hand. "I love you more. . . " She replied, opening her eyes. Corey gasped a bit and tried to hug her as best as he could without hurting them both. As he sat back down, she tried to sit up. Did you uh. . .make that song up?" She sniffled, rubbing her tearful eyes.

"Y-yeah. . ." Corey replied while having a small smile on.

"It was beautiful. . ." She said. Feeling a bit weird, she looked at her belly and lifted her robe to find herself skinny again and stitches starting at her belly button. This was too much and she broke down in tears. Corey quickly got next to her and held her, trying to help. "Please don't tell me. . ." She whispered.

Corey closed his eyes and nodded slowly. Laney continued sobbing as he rocked her back and forth.

She soon softened down and they layer together, holding one another.

"Lanes. . . I'm sorry. . ." Corey whispered. She looked up at him. "But it's not your fault. . ."

He nodded back. "It is. . . I should've gotten there in time. . ."

"But you didn't know what was going to happen. . . Please don't blame yourself. . ." She kissed his cheek and laid her head back on his chest. He sighed and layer back down.

On the other side of the curtain, Kin sat with a now awake Alana and noticed that Corey and Laney had drifted off to sleep.

"They really love each other." He smiled a bit. Alana smiled with him. "You know, when Kate, Alley, and I were your guys' groupies, we always dreamed of those two to get together. . . Just not with all of this stuff to follow. . ." She sighed as another nurse came in. Henderson was on her name tag.

"Hello Alana, I'm the nurse watching you tonight. My name's Kailye." She said.

Kin raised an eyebrow. "There's two Kaylies?"

She chuckled a bit. "Kinda, we spell our names different and we're both completely different. Though I think she's still talking to your friend Jake I think his name is. In fact, I think she likes him." Kailye said before pulling a needle out. Alana backed up a bit but stopped due to her leg almost falling out of the holder.

Kin looked concerned and slowly grabbed her hand and held it. Alana looked at their hands and then back at Kin. "It's ok. . . You won't even feel it. . ." He said, trying to reassure her. With that, Alana suddenly felt something but she immediately blocked it out.

She continued to stare at Kin and notice that she had felt something different now but unsure of what it was. Kin then smiled and nodded. "See?"

Alana looked down at her other arm and noticed a new band-aid is over the place where the shot had been given. Alana suddenly felt a bit more woozy and tired. "What was that shot anyhow?" Kin asked.

"Oh that was just a sedative, to help her relax. . ." Kailye said.

"Oh. . ." Kin nodded back

Kailye then smiled with a clipboard in hand. "If you need anything, all you need to do is press this button ok Alana?"

She nodded back in response and Kailye left like that. Alana could feel the sedative working, with her getting more and more tired. She turned back to Kin, who was looking at the door, and noticed they were still holding hands. She smiled, leaned over, and kissed his cheek. Kin then turned towards her. "Thanks. . . " She whispered as she lowered back into the bed. Alana then drifted off to sleep and Kin placed her hand back into her bed.

He sighed with a small smile and left the room, turning the lights off. Right as he stepped into the hallway, he immediately bumped into a figure who was rushing a body bag on a gurney away. "Sorry!" Kin called out as he quickly noticed the tag had fallen off of the bag. He raised an eyebrow and picked it up. He then focused on the words as his eyes widened. . . MINA BEFF. . .

Looking back up, he saw the figure turn wit the bag down a hallway and decided to chase after it.

Turning the corner, he was in a very dark hallway and got to a flight of stairs. Climbing what might've been a few floors, he opened a strong metal door which led to the roof. The wind was blowing hard as he looked over the edge, fifteen stories below.

SHHH!

Kin turned at the sound of the noise and slowly walked towards the door again. He carefully made his way around a corner to another part of the roof where he noticed that there was an elevator off to the side with its doors open. He shrugged it off and saw, to his right, Mina's body bag.

Without thinking, he quickly ran towards it but once he finally got there, he noticed it was empty. . .

Kin kneeled over and ran his fingers through the bag. "What the?"

WHACK!

He was cut off by a metal baseball bat whacking his head from behind and he fell to the ground hard. There was a little blood on the bat as it fell next to Kin's unconscious body. The figure then grabbed Kin, picked him up, and slowly put him in the body bag. A low chuckling was heard from it as the a hand zipped the bag up. . . .

Like I said, I AM finishing the story, and I didn't think this would turn out the way it did, but it did. Anyways, the song I put in after watching R.L. Stein's The Haunting Hour: The Series and I couldn't get it out of my head for some reason. Oh Well. . .

I digress, Please review, I love hearing criticism and remember not to forget this story?

Oh before I go, I might not update for another week or two due to me moving. Sorry about that and don't hate me or anything. . .
