Chapter 11

I do not own Harry Potter in any way.

A/N - Just wanted to let you guys know that I have another Harry Potter fic going. It's called "July Lullaby" and it's a Draco/OC. Go and check it out if you're interested!

"I still can't believe you're the new seeker!" Anya said.

"You must be the youngest quidditch player in…" Ron said.

"A century. According to McGonagall", Harry said.

The twins walked up to the trio.

"Well done, Harry. Wood's just told us", Fred said.

"Fred and George are on the team too. Beaters", Ron explained.

"Our job is to make sure you don't get bloodied up too bad. Can't make any promises though. Rough game, Quidditch", George said.

"Especially the way you two play", Anya said.

"We also heard you were offered the position of chaser", Fred said.

"Well I don't want it!" Anya snapped.

"Well, you never were any good", George teased her.

"Quidditch is brutal, but no one's died in years. Someone will vanish occasionally…" "But they'll turn up in a month or two!" the twins said as Harry, Ron, and Anya veered off into the courtyard.

"Oh go on, Harry. Quidditch is great. Best game there is", Ron told him.

"And you'll be great too", Anya said.

"But I've never even played Quidditch. What if I make a fool of myself?" Harry asked.

Hermione, who had run to catch up with the trio, said, "You won't make a fool of yourself. It's in your blood". Hermione dragged them down to a corridor full of Quidditch trophies, where she pointed a one.

"Harry! You never told me your father was a seeker too!" Ron said.

"I...didn't know", Harry said.

Before they left to go to their last class, something caught Anya's eyes.

It was a trophy for the Slytherin Quidditch team, around the time her father attended.

The name of the seeker was Regulus Black, her father's brother.

She never knew her Uncle Regulus, but made a mental note to ask Remus about him.

"Anya? Are you coming?" Ron called.

She nodded and followed them to their last class.

"I'm telling you, it's spooky. She knows more about you than you do!" Ron said.

"Who doesn't", Harry said.

The four first years gasped as the staircase started moving.

"What's happening?" Harry asked.

"The staircases change. Remember?" Hermione said.

"Let's go this way", Harry said.

"Before the staircase moves again", Ron said following him.

They went through a door.

The room was dark and covered in cobwebs.

"Does anybody feel like we shouldn't be here?" Ron asked.

"I don't think we're supposed to", Anya said.

"This is the third floor! It's forbidden!" Hermione reminded them.

The column next to them lit up.

"Let's go", Harry said.

They all turned and saw Filch's cat, Mrs. Norris.

"Run!" Harry said.

The four of them took off running, columns lighting up along the way.

"Quick! Let's hide through that door!" Harry said.

They ran up to the door and found it was locked.

The boys looked at Anya.

"Don't look at me!" she said.

"That's it! We're done for!" Ron moaned.

"Oh move over!" Hermione said pushing them aside, "Alohomora".

The door unlocked and they all entered.

"Alohomora?" Ron asked Hermione.

"Standard Book of Spells, chapter 7", Hermione told him.

Harry and Anya turned and froze.

"Filch is gone", Hermione said.

"Probably thinks this door's locked", Ron said.

"It was locked", Hermione said.

"And for good reason", Harry and Anya said.

The three headed dog started to wake up.

The four screamed and ran out of the room.

They quickly made their way back to the common room.

"What do they think they're doing, keeping a thing like that locked up in a school?!" Ron yelled.

"You don't use your eyes do you? Didn't you see what it was standing on?" Hermione asked him.

"I wasn't looking at its feet! I was a bit preoccupied with its heads!" Ron said as they went up the stairs, "Or maybe you didn't notice, there were three!"

"One for each of you", Anya said.

"Not helping!" Ron squeaked.

"Sorry", she said as Harry sniggered.

"It was standing on a trap door, which means it wasn't there by accident. It's guarding something", Hermione said.

"Guarding something?" Harry asked.

"That's right. Now, if you two don't mind I'm going to bed before either of you get another clever idea to get us killed. Or worse expelled", Hermione said entering the dorm.

"She needs to sort out her priorities", Ron said.

"Well, goodnight boys", Anya said.

"Night", Harry said watching her enter the dorm. Harry looked back at Ron who had a smile on his face. "What?" Harry asked him.

"Nothing", Ron said shaking his head.

It was painfully obvious that the two liked each other.
