A.N: In the last chapter of "Living in a Regular World", Piper left the park and now the guys don't know what to do...Will they get her back? or is this the end of Piper and Ryan's story? Find out in this chapter of "Living in a Regular World!"
Rigby: Please bring her back! Thomas won't leave his room!
Thomas(on his bed): UUUUGGGHHHHH! Gracie you've ruined my life…
Me: Oh quit your whining!
Rigby: And everyone at the park is totally bummed out!
Me: You'll just have to see for yourself…
With Piper gone, the park gang was miserable. The guys didn't feel like doing anything at all...They were taking it pretty hard, especially Thomas...He called off sick for a week and they wondered where he was…
"Hey have you guys seen Thomas?" Muscle Man asked Mordecai and Rigby who were on the couch playing video games, "I got this new burrito launcher and I want him to try it out with me."
"No…" Mordecai said looking up from the t.v screen, "We haven't seen him all day." "All day? We haven't seen him all week!" Rigby pointed out, "He's been like that ever since Piper left."
"You gotta admit dude, without Piper...Things at the park have been pretty grey." Mordecai said, "We'd better go check on him…"
The four drove to the dormitories where Thomas was staying. Mordecai took the key out of the ignition of the colf cart and the engine stopped running. They entered the dorm and went up the stairs to the second floor and entered Thomas' dorm room. The place was deserted. On the coffee table was a large mess left by his roommates and on the couch was a messed up plaid red, purplish white colored blanket.
They continued to walk through the room, "Thomas?" Mordecai called out, then they heard the toilet flush in the bathroom and the door opened and out came Thomas in a grey shirt and flannel green and white diamond plaid bottoms with a short white robe.
He saw the guys, "What do you want?" he asked miserably, his hair was messed up like crazy and his eyes were bloodshot.
"We came to check up on you, we were concerned…" Mordecai explained, "Why do you look like that?" he asked, "And why do you smell so bad?" Rigby asked pinching his nose, "When was the last time you took a shower?"
"Three days…" Thomas answered miserably, we walked over and collapsed on the couch and turned on the t.v. Mordecai then grabbed the remote out of his hand and shut off the t.v. Thomas stood up and chased him for the remote.
"Give it back, Mordecai!" Thomas said angrily, Mordecai ran into the kitchen and he followed, then he outsmarted him and ran bak into the livingroom. "Mordecai this isn't funny!"
Thomas finally stopped running and sighed and he said, "I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice." he grabbed Mordecai and flipped him over and pinned him down like he did with Muscle Man in "Thomas Fights Back."
"Okay Thomas this is really starting to hurt." Mordecai said, Thomas got off of him and the two stood up. "Look we know you're upset about Piper...We all are…" Mordecai said,
"What do you mean? I'm not upset about Piper, I just haven't been feeling good enough to work okay?" Thomas said, the guys each gave him a look. Then he broke down and his eyes got all teary. "Alright I miss her! Are you happy?" he sobbed, Mordecai walked over and put hi hand on Thomas' shoulder, "Dude chill, why don't we just call her?" Mordecai pulled out his phone, selected Piper in his contacts and handed the phone to Thomas.
Thomas heard the phone ring on the other side. Finally, after five rings the phone beeped and a recorded message with Piper's voice on it played.
"Hey this is Piper, I can't come to the phone right now...Please leave a message…" then the phone beeped and Thomas hung up.
"She didn't answer…" he said, he slumped to his room and collapsed on his bed and the guys watched him with sad looks.
"I wonder what Piper is doing right now…" said Rigby,
Meanwhile:
Piper was laying in her bed in her new room in her new apartment. She had been gone from the park for only a week and she was still upset about leaving.
Her mother entered the room carrying a plate of pizza rolls.
"Hey, I made you some lunch." she said,
"Not hungry." Piper groaned in her bed, she was thumbing through what looked like a scrapbook. But it wasn't a scrapbook, it was a photo album of pictures that Piper took with Ryan and the guys. Her mother noticed her eyes welling up with each picture she looked at.
Her mother walked over to her bed and placed the plate of pizza rolls on her nightstand and sat at her bedside and rubbed her back.
"You miss them don't you?" her mother said sadly, "Yes!" Piper moaned into her pillow in a muffled sound, "I miss them so much mom! "Have they called you?" her mother asked, "No, not one call…" she said, that's when her phone played her ringtone.
"We found Wonderland, You and I got lost in it and we pretended it could last forever eh eh."
Piper checked the phone to see who was calling her, It was Mordecai.
She let it go straight to message. She heard Mordecai speak into the phone.
"Piper?" Mordecai said over the phone, "Piper if you're there, please pick up." Mordecai said, "Thomas is a total mess! He won't leave his room for anything! and the park is also a total mess!" Mordecai yelled, "Please come back!"
Piper looked at her mother, "They need you." her mother said, "But I can't leave." Piper said, "I belong here with you and dad...I don't belong there…" she said,
"But what about the park?" her mother asked, "They'll just have to get over me." Piper said, "I'm the only thing you and dad have left since Parker is at Oxford." A.N: Parker is Piper's older brother who will appear in the sequel, if there will be a sequel...We don't know yet..."What about Thomas?" she asked, "He seems to really care about you" she said, "That's just because I kissed him." Piper said, "He's just like all the other guys of the world. I gave him what all guys want which is a kiss from a girl and if I go back, he might treat me like garbage like before." "If he misses you enough to not leave his room for anything then he must care about you…" Piper's mother told her, Piper gave it some thought, then she flipped the pages to one of the pictures she and Thomas took together and she remained silent. "We will love you no matter what you choose…" her mother said kissing Piper's forehead. Just then, a phone in another room was rang. Her mother left her bedroom and went to go answer the phone. Piper thought hard some more and her thoughts were broken when she heard her mother say, "Oh yes! That's a great idea!" her mother then hustled back into the room, "Honey, I've got some great news!"
Meanwhile:
Thomas finally left his room and took a shower. He was back at working at the park and was on snack bar duty. Since the weather was kind of chilly, he was cold in his jacket. His head was resting on his left hand and he was bored and depressed. That's when he heard a female voice.
"Excuse me, one thing of nachos with hot cheese and a coke." said the voice, Thomas said sadly, "That'll be $3.59." That's when he looked up and his face immediately went to surprise, for he saw before him a duck that looked like she was 20 with long brunette hair and hazel eyes that just sparkled like amber.
"Piper?" he said in surprise, Piper smiled, "You're not real…" he said, "You're just a figment of my imagination…"
"No…" Piper smiled shaking her head, "I'm really here…" he put his hand on her shoulder, "You're real." he said, "That's what I've been trying to tell you." she laughed, "You're back!" he said happily, "But how?"
"I'll explain later…" she said, "We all missed you." he told her, "Well I've missed you all too." she said, "And I heard something about you being a total wreck without me here." she smirked,
Thomas laughed nervously, "Yeah, I was pretty bad…" "But I managed through it…" he lied, Piper and Thomas stared into each other eyes and the two were close to kissing when…
"Piper!" Mordecai yelled in the distance, Piper looked in Mordecai's direction as Thomas looked passed her at the others running towards Piper.
"Mordecai! Rigby! Guys!" Piper yelled with her arms open wide,
The guys ran over to her and they all shared a group hug. "You came back!" Mordecai said, "We've missed you!" Rigby smiled, "I've missed you too." Piper said, The gang released from the group hug and then Mordecai asked, "How is this even posssible?"
"My Mother got a phone call from my grandmother and she said she would be more than happy to take me in." Piper said,
Thomas walked out of the snack bar to join the guys and that's when Mordecai remembered he almost saw them kiss.
"Did we interrupt something?" he asked worried that they did,
The two looked at each other and Piper smiled and said, "Nope." and Thomas followed saying, "Yeah we were just talking…"
"Piper!" Ryan said happily,
"Ryan!" Piper yelled, she ran into her friend's arms and he squeezed her tight.
"Ryan...I can't breathe!" she wheezed,
Ryan let go, "Sorry." "It's okay." Piper responded,
They all continued to talk about the week that she was gone and she told them all about the city that her family moved to. It was so good to have Piper back.
